We had a great time with our guide! Wendi the paddle boards. We saw lots of dolphins and even some manatees even though the water was cold. We plan to come back to do the tour in the summer.

Andrew was our guide and showed us how to paddleboard. He was great at encouraging us on this first-time paddle board experience! saw manatees (including a baby and a huge adult coming up for air). Also saw sting rays, fish, egret, and heron. Think we got exactly what we hoped for. Highly recommend this tour!

This was the second time we took a kayak tour with SoBe and again had a great experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and I formative and kept things fun. And to make it even better we saw a pod of dolphins. We would recommend it.

Andrew, our guide, got us comfortable in our paddle boards right away. We enjoyed learning about the fish, birds and plant life as we paddled out to look for manatees. Encountered a dolphin and enjoyed traveling with him. Searched for manatees but were disappointed that day. I think our guide was more disappointed than we were. We just really enjoyed the experience!

It was a beautiful day and very relaxing. The guide was great. We weren't able to see any dolphins but did catch sight of one manatee coming up for breathe.

We were stuck in traffic and arrived over an hour late. We called Girard and he assured us he would take care of us when we arrived. He was a great instructor as it was our first time on Stand Up Paddleboards. What a fun day!

This was definitely one of the most amazing things I’ve experienced!! I am definitely going to come back here one day and do this again! The owner of this guy was super awesome and very chill. It really makes a difference when the owner is passionate of the services and products he sells! We ended up extending our time because we were just having so much fun and the owner didn’t mind at all! We just called him up and let him know we wanted to pay extra to extend our time! He also was very helpful in telling us where to go to see the manatees which was just so amazing! We also saw a dolphins and probably around 10 or 15 stingrays! I would highly recommend anyone do this! It was seriously one of the coolest things I’ve ever done!

We visit ever year to paddle board and will continue to come back. We always have a great day on the water visiting the manatees and dolphins up close. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable of the area and we always see lots of wildlife, manatees and dolphins. Excellent way to spend a few hours on the water! We love it here!

My husband and I had a great time paddleboarding with Sobe Surf. It’s a pretty cool area since you can do the more open water if you want or you can go under a bridge and go through some mangroves which were really neat. The guy was not up in our business and just let us do our own thing which was super nice since some of us our shy and don’t like to be watched while struggling to balance lol. Would recommend.

All three granddaughters are nature lovers from Colorado. Standup paddle boarding is something they like to do, but today was special, to have manatee lounging in the water with them. Perfect weather and a knowledgeable guide made it a perfect trip.

Internet search led to them. Easy booking and equipment was ready when we arrived and in great shape. Lots of great wildlife to see, baby dolphins FTW!!

My husband and I did the paddle board bioluminescense tour a couple nights before. Our guide, Andrew was fantastic! We decided to book a manatee tour with the same company, and once again, our guide was Andrew, and he did not disappoint. He knew exactly where the manatees would be hanging out. We had a great time just floating and watching their activity. Both trips were awesome!

Andrew was a great trip leader he was attentive to the needs of his guests one in particular had a replaced knee and he gave her a bigger softer board. He took us to see the dolphin and manatee and then let us do whatever we wanted. He was informative and very easy to converse with making for an awesome day on the River!❤️

I had such a nice paddle with Andrew that afternoon. The current was rough but we managed to paddle through it and go down some canals away from the wind and got to play with manatees! It was great! Thank you Sobe Surf and paddle!

Life's getting harder these days, what a nice day on the water to recharge and regroup for us. We didn't take a tour, we just took the kayaks out and paddled our little hearts out. It was amazing, the views on the river were awesome and we took a well needed break from the monotony.

Great day looking for Manatees in the mangroves. Danny was a great guide and it was the highlight of our trip. We will be back next year.

I learned so much more than I had expected learning not just about the mammals. To see them in their natural habitat gave me the ability to observe their natural behavior. The captain of our tour was very knowledgeable about the mammals, the waterway we traveled, ecology of the area and the land animals and birds that inhabit the Merritt Island area.

This is a great spot to kayak or paddle board. We saw tons of dolphins and loved the mangroves. Highly recommend!

My friend and I had a Paddle Board lesson this morning and it went well. I was able to stay on my feet most of the time, just one fall into the water, but it's very shallow so no problem getting back onto board. Gerard told us how to keep the board straight and turn when I want to. We were lucky enough to see dolphins near us. Very cool. It's not as easy as I hoped but I would definitely do it again. Gerard was patient with us and we appreciated his knowledge of SUP.

My family went paddle boarding on Merrit Island today and had a blast. Girard was awesome with his training. It was super easy to do, we saw dolphins!!! Definitely recommend Sobe!!! Very professional and best deal in town!!!!

We had the best time paddle boarding at Sobe Surf. Girard Middleton is the best teacher and so encouraging. Makes you feel right at ease. So cool seeing multiple dolphins, manatee, osprey and other birds. Great workout while also having fun!

This tour was so cool! The tour guide was excellent and an amazing teacher. We were able to see dolphins and manatees and get very close to them! Water was very calming and it was overall just a great time! Definitely a must if you are in the area!

Fabulous. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and had us paddle boarding within minutes. Equipment was of high standard and wonderful location. We will definitely visit again.

Weather sucked and no manatee but the owner did everything he could. He offered to let us cancel the day of the tour. We went and our tour guide was awesome. He tried everything to get us a glimpse of something. Will definitely try again with this company. Really appreciated the customer service. Highly recommend them

I fully admit: I was a massive pain in the butt on this trip. We were doing a spring break cruise with 9 hours at Port Canaveral. The ONLY thing I wanted to do on this trip was see the manatees. The weather wasn't cooperating. It was cold...and raining... and windy. I was full on pout mode at this point. Girard still was willing to take us out. I can't say thank you enough! I may have even thrown in a horrifically embarrassing "mom dance" when I found out. While the manatees may have bested us that day with their hiding skills, I couldn't be more grateful for him for trying. It was still a great day!!

Ryan, our guide, did a great job showing us the manatees and teaching us about the ecology. Highly recommend him as a guide.

We had the best time paddle boarding and saw a manatee and dolphins. Girad was very patient with us and made sure to tell and show us the ropes before and during our adventure! So glad we found SoBe and had a chance to paddle board for the first time! Would go back in a heart beat! ✌🏻❤️

Our family of 4 got great service from SoBe owner Girard Middleton. We had a blast kayaking the coves in Merritt Island. We saw lots of manatees up close, a great blue heron, dolphins. Such a fun outing!!

My husband and I were looking for something new to do. We came across SoBe Surf, and are really glad we did! Girard is a great instructor and made things easy. We saw dolphins, a manatee and watched small planes take off and land over the water at a small airfield. The weather was beautiful and the water calm, which made for a great first time experience. I highly recommend SoBe Surf to anyone wanting to take stand up paddle board lessons.

Our family, which contains 2 teenage boys, took our first paddle boarding experience with Girard. We had an amazing time and discovered a new hobby. My teen age grand children were visiting and I wanted to find a fun and different activity for them. A stand up paddle board lesson from Sobe was just perfect. They really enjoyed learning a new skill and and floating by dolphins and manatees

Had my grandson with me I had not been in a kayak for fifty years. My grandson picked up the how to Kayak within a few minutes. We had great weather a saw a few wildlife on the trip Great day by all the guide was great.

My 13 year old son and I were on a spring break cruise to the Bahamas. Our first port was Cape Canaveral. I found Sobe's tour online and was excited to go in search of manatees. The day of our tour was windy and choppy on the rive,r and my son and I didn't have success with the paddle boards. We kept drifting, rather than moving forward and were getting frustrated. I asked our guide, Nick, if we could go back to shore and switch out for kayaks. He accommodated us, with patience. Thanks Nick! Once in the kayaks, we had an easy time paddling along. Before we headed toward the coves in search of manatees, Nick noticed a large dolphin pod moving toward us on the other side of the river. He took us to them and we had an amazing encounter when a couple of the dolphins swam fairly close to us. I was in awe! We then headed to the coves and though we were only able to catch a brief glimpse of a manatee, I happened to be in an area of the cove away from the others when a manatee came up to the surface for air right off the side of my kayak. I didn't see his body, the water wasn't clear enough, but I spotted that snout! I was thrilled. I highly recommend this tour. The owners of the shop are kind and easy going. Our tour guide was patient and very knowledgeable about the area marine life. Seeing the dolphins (and that snout!) was one of the highlights of our spring break trip.

We’ve (my daughter and I) visit SobeSurf & SUP every year on vacation and it’s always an amazing time! This year our tour guide was Andrew and he was fabulous! We chased dolphins in the bay and we got up close and actually were able to pet the manatees and spent lots of time with them playing in the water! Fabulous time again! Thank you 😊

We had to reschedule our first reservation due to weather. This was no problem for Girard as he encouraged us to come back when the conditions were better so that we would have a more enjoyable time. Our enjoyment was his top priority. We are very appreciative and would absolutely come back again.

We had the best time ever. Saw a manatee eating leaves from the mangrove plants. Tour guide was friendly and took photos of our group in several locations. The tour was amazing with wild life all around us. The dolphins were playing while we watch them on the way to the cove. I would recommend this adventure and will certainly put this on my list of “must do again”.

Our guide was awesome. It was very windy that day and one of our kayakers was having a hard time staying the course and he pushed or pulled her on his paddle board a good part of the way. He knew the manatees and their behavior well, where they would be and how they behaved. He was very kind, fun and knowledgeable. The only reason I didn't give this trip a 5 rating is because the manatees only showed us part of themselves at a time (a nose, back, tail) when they broke the surface and the water was very dark and murky and you couldn't see in the water. On a better weather day I am sure you could see the manatees much better.
