Night Sky Stargazing Tour In Punta Gorda Florida

Jason was extremely knowledgeable and made the evening very enjoyable for us novices. The equipment was amazing and the efforts Jason made to make this event so successful were chairs, snacks, drinks, binoculars and most of all mosquito jackets!

Jason provided chairs, mosquito jackets, snacks (on theme), and the telescopes. Also told great stories as it related to the Greek myths and the cosmos. Renewed my interest in amateur astronomy and my husband and friend and I will definitely return for another tour in the fall when the night sky looks completely different. Thanks for a great time Jason!

Jason tried very hard for 5 days to reschedule my Night Sky viewing. Weather would not cooperate. I appreciated his contact with me every day letting me know the possibility of seeing stars.

This unique experience was so much fun. Expert explanations. Great viewing of very interesting objects through a serious telescope. Friendly interactive leader.

This was fantastic. He was VERY knowledgeable and patient. It is cold in the area, we did not dress warmly enough and should have brought a warm blanket. I learned a lot!

Amazing experience. My wife and I came for Valentine’s Day. We are not the most knowledgeable on astrology, but this was an amazing experience. We had a ton of fun, perfect for a nice date.

We weren’t quite sure what to expect and were pleasantly surprised with how awesome this was! First off, Jason was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! He taught us all sorts of stuff and showed us some incredible stuff through the telescope. Extremely well done with snacks/beverages as well. Highly recommend this with family/friends to do something a little different!

This was absolutely INCREDIBLE! We had such a great time. Our host sat us down and gave us a close up on all the stellar bodies we could hope to see and told the stories of the constellations. The views were amazing and the whole event was so well done. My girlfriend said it was the best thing she’d ever done, and the hot chocolate was also a classy touch. My only warning, the location that Apple and Google Maps has for Starry Night is NOT the park that the event is hosted in, follow the address from the tour page to find the right spot. That one almost got us! We loved this.

This experience was amazing. I will do this again because everyone wants to do it. I have even explored other states that do this.

This was an enjoyable tour. Guide was knowledgable and views were spectacular. The highlights were the view of Saturn and its ring, the craters on the moon and so much more. This tour is highly recommended!

I have always been an amateur star gazer, so this experience was perfect! Looking up at the milky way and we saw Saturn, and the andromeda galaxy, Vega, and several shooting stars. The weather was perfect, the location was very good and the telescope we were privileged to look through was amazing! Then we also got binoculars and looked up at the stars and found out you can see so much with a simple pair of binoculars! This was a great experience!!

Jason was fantastic! His deep knowledge of the starry skies and mythology made for a mesmerizing experience. He captivated us with rich, engaging stories about the origins of the constellations, bringing legends to life with every word. We would absolutely rebook with him when we’re in town again!

Jason was the absolute guest host and brilliant educator! Even down to the snacks and beverages he served, everything was on point and made for a really fun, different date night. We will be back in the fall to see more!

Unfortunately the clouds weren't cooperating so we only got to see about half of what our guide Jason was expecting for us to see. But what made the evening excellent, besides what we did get to see, was the stories Jason told about the stars. It was a beautiful evening out under the stars and our guide had so much knowledge about our skies. He also gave all of us vouchers to come back. I'll definitely be doing that!

We had an incredible experience on the Starry Night tour with Jason. Before our scheduled tour date, he checked the weather and atmospheric conditions religiously to make sure we had the best possible viewing experience. We had to reschedule twice due to cloud cover and he always called well ahead of our scheduled tour time and offered suggestions for alternative dates. Both on the phone and in person Jason is truly one of the kindest people I have ever met. The tour itself was an amazing learning experience to go along with the beautiful view. Jason knows the mythological background of all visible constellations, and he uses a laser pointer to point them out and connect them visually, which really paints a picture of each constellation’s story. We saw unique star clusters, Jupiter’s stripes and moons, a nebula, and close-up.views of the moon, among other things. There were quite a few things we could not see with the naked eye that burst into view on the telescope. Each group got a pair of binoculars to look at some of the objects in the sky, and they were fun to use while we were all taking turns on the telescope. We also got lucky and saw a shooting star, as well as a Starlink launch from Cape Canaveral. If you schedule the tour for a night with a larger moon, you’ll get a great view of the moon’s surface and especially the Sea of Tranquility and Sea of Serenity. Overall it was a beautiful and awe-inspiring experience that only makes you more interested in and inspired by the night sky and all it has to offer.

It was a wonderful gift from my cousin and his wife on our visit to Punta Gorda. My wife and I, science majors and nerds, loved the focused astronomy time with a person who used a powerful telescope and accompanying information about the celestial realm. We have attended telescope viewing before, but not with the level of attention that this small group received. In addition, snacks and drinks were provided, and thoughtfully insect-blocking netted jackets to ward off the mosquitoes. It was a memorable experience seeing Jupiter, planetary moons, star composites, and the detail of our moon's craters.

We had an amazing time at Starry Night! Jason was very knowledgeable and showed us many wonderful stars, planets and constellations. Orion’s Nebula was our favorite! It was a thoughtful evening with chairs, mosquito jackets and snacks provided. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Jason did an awesome job of explaining the constellations and setting up the telescope for all of us to view the stars and planets. This was my second evening with Starry Nights and it was just as impressive as the first.

Jason brought nice snacks and drinks, chairs and a lot of great information to the tour. His celestial knowledge is immense.

Jason was well prepared and engaging! We had a beautiful clear night… he had an awesome telescope— we saw planets, nebulas and star clusters. He keeps the # of people down to a minimum so everyone gets as much time on the telescope as desired. You can tell he really enjoys doing this. He even brought chairs and snacks. Can’t recommend it high enough.

This was a gift for our 11 year old grandson and our son. Our grandson is very interested in space and the solar system. He was excited to receive a telescope for Christmas so this tour looked like something he would enjoy. And boy did he! The tour guide Jason called the day of the tour to say there was a call for clouds that night and would we be able to reschedule for 2 nights later. Fortunately that worked out perfectly for their plans. When they returned from the tour our grandson was grinning from ear to ear and said the experience was awesome! Thank you Jason for this unique and engaging experience! Highly recommend it!

The evening was very interesting seeing all the planets, the surface of the moon, nebulas and learning about how the constellations got their name. Jason was very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job showing the stars and planets using his pointer and telescope!

It was a beautiful evening for a stargazing adventure. My husband and I took our daughter, son-in -law and two teen age grandchildren. Jason was very knowledgeable. He encouraged questions and offered to reshow us through the telescope anything we would like to see again. Amazing experience viewing through the telescope! We were also given binoculars to use in viewing the sky. My whole family thought it was a very worthwhile activity. So glad we went! The snacks and water/soda were a nice touch! Thank you, Jason!

Great chance to experience a lovely night sky. You forget how many stars are out there and it's always a little overwhelming, but in a good way. Seeing Saturn's rings, the beautiful blue stars of the Pleiades, and swirls of star dust nebula first-hand is a bucket list experience for sure.

What an awesome experience! We got to see so much - Venus, mars, Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, the andromeda galaxy, the Orion Nebula and so much more. There were themed snacks and chairs and Jason is so knowledgeable about everything. We are going to go again in the summer to see different stuff!

We did this to help my grieving father, and we had the VERY BEST EXPERIENCE! We were as impressed with the telescope as the man presenting the event! This is a MUST DO! Get off the beaten path, stay out late, and LOOK UP!!

What an incredible experience! We saw so many celestials. The Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Neptune, The Pleiades, The North Star, Betelgeuse. Two shooting stars! I can't wait to go back during a different time of year to see & hear the Greek stories. The pictures attached don't do the celestials justice, we could see 3 or 4 moons around Saturn, and Saturn in incredible detail. We could see the Nebula around The Pleiades, thats a first nebula for me! His knowledge about the stories in our sky left me in awe. It was cold, they had Hot Cocoa and pun related snacks.

The views were amazing. I have never paid so much attention to the sky because of all the light pollution we have at home. The sky was crystal clear and we could see many planets and constellations very clearly after it got a little darker. The guide was very knowledgeable and told us many stories about the myths behind the constellations. They even had snacks that reflected the astrological theme. We watched the heavens for over two hours. They were great people and we had a fantastic time. I highly recommend going.

Great experience!! Jason was our "star" guide, he was very nice and helpful, gave us tons of info, and we were able to experience the night sky with all its splendor!!! They had a state of the art telescope and binoculars for us to use. They even had snacks and water. Ana, his wife, was there to assist and make our experience a better one. We need more of this in SF.

A Great experience in viewing the stars, planets and nebula in the night skies. Our host, Jason, was very both knowledgeable and friendly. 3 hrs of viewing using his sophisticated telescope and explanation of the heavens! jason was absolutely the best tour guide we could have ever asked for. he was patient, educated on the subject, and genuinely loved talking about space. he taught us so much about the constellations and we all had our own time to ask questions. he knew the stories that accompanied each constellation down to the names of each god and goddess. i think the most important thing is zeus needs to keep it in his pants 🤦. All in all, it was an amazong experience and i highly reccomend anybody with a lick of interest in space to check it out!

Stargazing with Jason was a great experience. He shared fun and informative facts about the planets and stars. He told interesting stories from Greek and Roman mythology. The groups are kept small to give everyone ample time to look through the telescope. They also shared binoculars with us which allowed us to see hundreds of stars that weren’t visible with the naked eye. It was a wonderful experience and one I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Thanks to Jason for an amazing visit to the night sky. Using both his high powered telescope and the provided binoculars we had the opportunity to see Jupiter, Uranus and an incredible view of the moon, the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters and the constellations of the winter sky. Jason also provided us with the mythology stories behind the constellations which were very interesting. 👍🏻

This was such a spectacular tour of the night sky! Jason is so knowledgeable and passionate about astronomy and gave us countless views through his powerful telescope all while sharing the science and mythology behind the stars and planets (Jupiter, Saturn and even distant Uranus!). The binoculars were a surprisingly wonderful addition. We were lucky to have a clear night and it was really just the most lovely couple of hours. Ending with a clear view of the moon was just awesome- the scope made it feel like we were on the surface. Plus the hot chocolate was delicious and kept us warm. This tour was amazing! I’m always looking for new experiences and I love anything to do with stars and planets in the night sky. Jason was so knowledgeable and taught us about constellations and planets origins. It was a fascinating tour. The night couldn’t have been clearer. We were able to see many planets, stars and even saw several shooting stars and a closeup view of the moon with Jason’s high powered telescope. I’ll definitely do this again as the night sky is always changing. Jason even provided hot chocolate, water and Milky Way bars which was a nice touch. Thanks Jason for a truly memorable experience!

Jason and Anna provided a unique experience. It was fun and interesting to learn about the planets, moon and stars. The telescope was amazing to look through. Jason pointed out various constellations and told Greek mythology stories. Very relaxing evening, and now when we look at the sky, we know more about what we are looking at. Giving a stargazing tour “4 stars” is kind of ironic. At times, he turned his back to the audience (11 people) in order to point at objects and we couldn’t quite hear what he said. The cosmic themed snacks were cute! This was a good activity for all ages. It was a little cool (55°) and damp; we were glad we brought blankets. It was a cozy evening! 🌌

I’m a retired Air Force fighter pilot and know about stars. Jason knows way more than I do and was very impressive in all aspects of the evening. If you want an informative presentation on stars, planets, constellations, and the heavens overall, I recommend this without hesitation! Dress appropriately, the website tells all. WOW! Jason was such a good astronomer guide! We saw the rings of Saturn, Jupiter and 4 of its’ moons, and so much more! We’re astronomy enthusiasts and we’re completely happy with our evening! We’re planning on going again in a few months to see different constellations! Thank you Jason!
