Miami To Key West Day Trip With Activity Options

We were shocked that the tour came to work ill on a bus tour lasting 9hours on a bus. Yes, he shared he was sick and did try to work with a mask on. I am home 3 days after the trip sick. Praise to the driver he did a great job. Selling tour deals on the bus should be handled better as it seems like a bit “shady” that they are getting the best price for you. Better description in the Viator app would let us be more prepared. Had a good time touring Key West much better than driving ourselves it made the day better.

Issue after issue that the tour company and Viator review to address: * Guide was impossible to understand; he provided little information about the trip other than trying to sell everyone add ons. * Temperature for ride back was unbearable for the first. Hour. I complained to Viator who advised the tour operator of my name who gave it to the guide. The guide proceeded to start yelling my name over and over. He berated one passenger about the temperature so I decided to avoid a confrontation. Bus was supposed to have WIFI…nope or the guide failed to provide the information. Again hard to tell due to the language barrier. Through this whole process, I did not receive any response from the tour company. Absolutely terrible service from start to finish.

Bus was not double decker as described and seats had no pockets or cup holders. Drop off was a long walk from first trolley stop and primary activities area. The bus guide could not speak good English and she was not helpful in providing tips for getting around the island. We wasted a lot of valuable time because she did not make any recommendations that would have been useful.

The trip was a great way to get to Key West and back, if you just want to go to Key West. Manny was our driver and Esse our tour guide and both did an excellent job getting us there with loads of information about the Keys.

Fun way to spend a day not far from Miami. Good guide, confortable travel. The air con in the bus is a.bit too excesive so wear some long sleave. And take something to eat. The stop for breakfast at Mcdonalds was awful.

Comfortable way to whizz down and see the Keys from South Miami Beach. Took instead of hiring a car for the day

They were so sweet and in time!! They gave clear instructions of where and when to meet. They gave details of Key West and how to navigate the area.

Upon boarding, had numerous passengers sitting / sleeping solo in window positions of paired sets of seats, ostensibly to secure a window seat for each. As a couple we were forced to split up. Hostess would not / could not secure adjoining seats for us. She did awaken sleeping beauties and had them remove their feet and belongings from adjacent seats so we could sit in various locations on the bus. We spent the entire southbound trip on the bus in separate seats in separate rows.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us info on the Keys as well as arranged our trolley tickets .

Booked this trip for Thurs 1st Oct. Pick up from South beach was simple and prompt, the bus was clean and comfortable with a stop at McDonald’s for breakfast about 1.5 hrs into the journey. Unfortunately once in Key West the weather wasn’t great. 3.6” of rain, breaking the previous record set in 1943! We were wading through the streets upto our knees in water! Nothing to do with the trip, but totally spoilt the day although hats off to the bus driver for getting us out of there. It was a long way to go for that but nothing the tour operator could have done to prevent or even foresee the issues

Trip was great. Guide was very informative. Would take this trip again from Miami to Key West. AC worked very well.

I booked for a gift, a birthday gift for myself. Unfortunately 😕 I got ill and couldn't go. I would like to re- schedule. I hope 🙏 i can.

Not very well organized. They made me change buses 3 times to end up in a very crowded bus, and there are so many pick up spots that it took me 6 hours to get to Key West. I booked the snorkel activity and up until I got to Key West I had no context... How long? Are we going to take a boat? I had no idea. It ended up being a big group so we were bumping into each other when we were at the reef. Also the time spent exploring Key West are the hottest hours of the day and it was brutal, I think this tour should be later in the day so it's more comfortable.

The experience was very nice. The coach picked us up exactly at the pick point we selected on time. We upgraded our seats by paying additional $20 per person. The view was amazing! I highly recommend this trip to all!

A fantastic day trip!! A long day but very enjoyable. We initially booked the Glass Bottom boat tour as our activity. We did not realize we would have 6 hours in Key West, so we booked the 1.5 hour City Trolley tour as well. Enjoyed a great supper before returning to our bus for the ride back to our hotel.

Orlando was knowledgeable about his history from Miami to Key West, which was great. Personality was great as well. Milton who assured us we arrived back and forth safely was an amazing driver. I would ride along on another w/ them anytime.

Had a great time snorkeling and checking out Key West. Great way to get to Key West.

Im so glad I booked with this company. Easy way to spend the day in Key West without the hassle of renting a car. Pick up from our hotel was seamless and our guide was funny and insightful. I wish I knew before hand I could have left stuff on the bus and would have brought a hoodie. I would use their services again!

Great trip. Beautiful!! We had never been and it was a great first time visit. They were also very helpful with a pick up location

The experience was good however , the tour guide did her best to make the trip enjoyable but she didn’t speak fluent English but she did her best. On the trip back, it rained a lot and the rough of the bus was leaking and wetting up two passengers. Nothing could be done about it but the tour guide did give up her seat to the one client who was getting wet.

First time visiting Key West and was a wonderful experience my husband and I really enjoyed our selves

The trip was good. Good driver and tour guide. Bus was nice and comfortable. But on the way back it was raining and the emergency exit on the roof was by me and it was pouring water down right on me. There were no empty seats for me to move.

It was a great experience. We had a large group that was late getting to the pick up location and he called and was very helpful and patient getting us to the location. The information given on the ride down was wonderful. Definitely helped plan our day. Ride was great, there and back. Highly recommend and will definitely go again!

They were very accommodating to pick and drop us off to our preferred location (which was just down the street from the original destination).

From beginning to end this ride was super safe and comfortable, when they say no man left behind believe them lol. The tour guy was super amazing I can’t remember his name but we rode the yellow bus and he kept us informed of great helpful information needed. He also was great at historical facts as we passed through different parts of the keys which was very interesting. He also kept a smile on each of our faces, created laughter, and made accommodations to help everyone feel safe during this time. I am planning another trip to go again this time with my son and I pray we get the same guy but if we don’t I trust that whoever is doing these tours are the best picked at this adventure.

the snorkeling was awesome! everything was ran smooth and efficiently and i enjoyed my time in key west

It was nice. A suggestion maybe on the way back no music or on a lower volume because people are tired and want to rest. In rest all good.

Overall, a great experience. We were picked up on time, the bus ran to schedule, and got dropped off at our hotel sooner than expected. Absolutely worth it for the price.

Boat ride and snorkeling was great! We really enjoyed our trip and the crew was great. Bus ride is about three hours.

Majority of the trip was wonderful. The price, with TripAdvisor credits, came out to be relatively cheap for all that was offered. The snorkeling is a very worthwhile excursion (free and heavy drinks!) and there was still plenty of time to get the gist of Key West. The bus was rather cramped for my own preference, but at my height it’s hard to find comfortable seating most anywhere, so that’s no knock to the company. The only downside came at the end, when the bus broke down right as drop offs were starting. Luckily, it didn’t break down until we were only 15 minutes outside of Miami, but after a long day away it was rather frustrating to have to either wait the 35-45 minutes for a new bus to come by, or as I did, spend the extra money to get picked up off the side of the road via Uber. All in all, would probably do again, just know that your bus does run the risk of breaking down, and in all likelihood may do so at any time.

While the driver and tour guide were excellent, the Viator seating system needs improvement. Currently, early pickups get the best front seats, which feels unfair; seats on both levels should be available to select and reserve right when purchasing tickets. Additionally, the bus itself needs maintenance, as there was a constant, loud squeezing noise on the first floor throughout the entire trip.

Excellent guide and well organized

Such a fun day at Key West. Had no issue on the bus ride, great tour guide (breakfast stop was at McDonald’s). Went snorkeling and it was great, saw 2 stingrays lots of fish and there was an open bar.

We booked our own activities in Key West, so this is not a review of Key West (which was a lot of fun) but of the bus ride. The bus was late in picking us up. Since there were no assigned seating, we saw a couple get separated in their seating arrangement. Thankfully a kind customer swapped seats to let them sit together. We stopped at a McDonalds on the way. The guide was really adamant about being on time and then scolded some people about being on time when we were leaving the McDonalds. This felt ironic considering the bus was 15 minutes late. I get things out of our control happen, so I don’t blame her for the bus being late. But maybe she shouldn’t threaten customers with being left behind in Key West, and having to pay for a $400 uber ride on the same trip when the actual bus was late. The guide tried to make it better by giving us extra time in Key West. However, on our way back the bus broke down. Thankfully we were already in Miami. Our options were to wait 30-45 minutes for another bus to come get us or get down and find our own way. The majority of the people on the bus chose to get down. At this point, what guarantee did we have of another bus coming? What if that bus was late as well? Anyway, we had already scheduled dinner for our return time, so we paid for the Uber ride back to our hotel. Honestly, the company should reimburse our Uber fare. The Key West experience was great, but the drive there and back were terrible.

Guide Luis was friendly and knowledgeable . Very organized!!! I could not imagine how Luis would and could manage 70 people (peak times) in a coach on his own 🤦🏼‍♀️ Because of the size of the group, a few of us like me booked optional trips - Luis was very good and concise on his instructions, though some still did not follow 🤦🏼‍♀️, maybe English or Spanish were not their native language. Glass bottom boat we seen 2 fish what a waist. The bus ride there was great on the way back it broke down.

It was a really cool experience until the bus broke down on the way back.. Good thing we made it back to miami but i still had to uber back to the beach..

We were too tired to do the drive & the tour bus turned out to be a good option. Luis is great at his job!

Wonderful experience. But one thing felt like the air conditioning was not working properly. Staff was amazing

I was looking forward to this tour, but I was really disappointed. The AC on the bus felt more like a fan, and with all of us in that bus it felt like a sauna. Imagine that for 3+ hours. The Dolphin tour was so hipped up but it was just boring. It was mostly going around the marina, low music, not much interaction from the staff… again, boring is how I would describe it.

Isa and Manny were such great people who guided us on this journey to Key West and back. It was such a great experience of getting to Key West without having to drive yourself there. Isa was very knowledgeable with the area and shared with us facts that were very interesting to know. Would recommend!

The guide was very friendly and informative. The bus had 2nd story which made better view, and I enjoyed it. I just wish the seat had a table or at least a cup holder. It's easy to spill drinks.

Our tour guide Luis was super helpful, funny, answered any questions we had. They made our experience very worth while.

Had Luis and Lazaro as guide and driver, they were phenomenal. Will go again

Great trip , I would do it again

The visit to the island is absolutely worth the four-hour bus ride each way. We didn't do any extra activities, but during the six hours at our disposal, we wandered all over the neighborhoods of Key West and visited Hemingway's house.

The tour guide was nice. The pick up and drop off is right at our hotel. I was not happy with the dolphin watch activity as there was no dolphin showing up. The tour should have note that dolphin watch is depends on your luck so customers can pick another activity at the first place. Not reccomend this activity in key west as it’s just a waste of time and money
