I booked this trip as thought it would be the best way to see miami being a solo traveller and it didnt disappoint. My guide abril was wonderful messaging to say my pickup would be slightly delayed . I ended up being the only one on the city tour which only made the experience better. Abril was very cheerful and friendly she recommend places to eat when we stopped for lunch and the best places for pictures and offered to take photos of me and was never in a rush to get the tour finished as she gave me plenty of time at the last stop bayside marketplace. Haagen was a great host, this was a jam packed tour which starts early and lasts all day. The everglades trip was especially enjoyable. Haagen is very knowledgeable about Miami and shared some great tips.

I signed up for the airboat and city tour. The online calendar showed that the tour was available. I completed the registration and was emailed that we were confirmed. I attempted to reach out to the tour department and I keep getting the same response that is not an answer to my question. I asked when time we should be at the pick up location and how much would be refunded due to the city tour portion not being available. The same scripted responses keeps being sent that does not answer my question about refund amount or meet time.

Our tour guide Hagen was absolutely perfect. We were picked up exactly in time and Hagen provided us a lot of detailed information about the everglades, Miami and Florida. Hagen is a very professional tour guide who lives in Florida for about 20 years. Hence he can provide al lot of additional insigts. We would gladly recommend a tour with him again anytime.

April was the best tour guide. She was thoughtful, brought us drinks (water/pop), gave clear instructions and was accommodating, taking us places we had not been. Great lunch/dinner recommendations.

We had an outstanding experience with Banana Joe Tours and can highly recommend them. We were a group of 14 people from Norway, ranging from children to adults, and everything was handled professionally from start to finish. The highlight of the tour was our driver and guide, Haagen. He was exceptional. During the drive to and from the Everglades, he shared fascinating stories about Miami, its history, neighborhoods, culture, and development. It felt like we got a bonus Miami city tour in addition to the Everglades experience. Haagen was also incredibly knowledgeable about the Everglades ecosystem and its wildlife. He explained the unique environment, the animals living there, conservation efforts, and answered all our questions with enthusiasm and expertise. The airboat tour itself was fantastic, and we were able to see plenty of wildlife, including alligators in their natural habitat. The entire day was well organized, informative, and enjoyable for both adults and children. A special thank you to Haagen for his professionalism, knowledge, and passion. He played a big part in making this one of the highlights of our trip to Florida. We would definitely book with Banana Joe Tours again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting Miami. These are scammers! They take your money and then stop answering the phone numbers and messages they provide. In the morning, nobody showed up at the pickup point—they only kept sending messages! On top of that, they’re even using my mother to threaten me. This is completely unacceptable.

Great one day trip to the Everglades and city tour. Driver Hagen very well informed and goodvrunning commentary. Great food stops in Little Havanna and Wynwood.. Highly tecommended.

Terrible experience! Started with bad communication of pickup No A/C in shuttle when 90 degrees & 75% humidity.. only did Everglades, no city tour Christian, our driver wanted to end this short. I have been an Viator fan, I can’t recommend it anymore.. we deserve a refund, were told Banana Joes management would be in touch - that never happened

I am on vacation with family in Miami and this was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had. We received three different emails with differing pick up locations and times. You try to call to get claificqtion and no one answers. Our tour guide Christian gets there and is so unfriendly and we felt very rushed the entire time. He hardly spoke the entire drive to the Everglades. He was a very unsafe driver going 20+ over the speed limit, swearing in and out of lanes , he was riding on people tails, running lights and honking at people. You could tell he had road rage and he was incredibly unprofessional. Just seemed as if he was rushing or had somewhere to be.On top of all of this the air conditioning in the van was not working. All he kept saying was that he was trying to get another truck but never got an answer. Honestly with his rudeness and unsafe driving we all said we didn’t want to continue on with the second half of our tour. Absolutely disappointed. Do not waste your time.

Really enjoyable experience. Communication and pickup were fine no issues. Everglades experience was nice though perhaps a bit touristy but on a short stay ticks the boxes. It ended up being myself and my husband only for the Miami tour. Our guide made a point of asking what we had already seen, so just saw unexplored areas. Went around Star Island which I hadn’t experienced before and didn’t know you were able to access it. Had a great experience in Little Havana and felt over that we came away with a lovely sample of the highlights of Miami during our short stay. We were glad to use BananaJoe and would use them again.

My tour never got off the ground. Even after I talked to someone from Banana Joe tours and agreed to the new pick up location. When I arrived at the pickup location the parking lot was closed. I waited by the street from 8:00 until 8:45 for an 8:14 pickup time. The ride never showed up. It cost me $50 for ubers to go nowhere! I will not be using Viator again!

I recently went on a combined Everglades and Miami City tour, and I can’t recommend it enough—largely thanks to our incredible guide, Ruslan. If you’re looking for a deep dive into the area, Ruslan is your guy. He is a wealth of knowledge; I walked away feeling like I truly understood the ecosystem of the Everglades and the vibrant history of Miami. He shared some fascinating fun facts about local Miami life that you definitely won’t find in a standard guidebook. Ruslan kept the energy high and the information flowing without it ever feeling like a boring lecture. His music choices and extra entertainment throughout the day was also spot on! What really blew me away was his kindness at the end of the day. Despite my hotel being outside the standard pick-up/drop-off zone, Ruslan went out of his way to drive me all the way back. It saved me a lot of hassle and showed how much he genuinely cares about his guests. From the airboat thrills to the city’s iconic landmarks, the pacing was perfect. It was a fantastic day from start to finish. If you get the chance to book a tour with Ruslan, do it—you’re in great hands!

Horrible customer service from Viator. My husband confirmed the time and location for my reservation, but at the last minute they changed the time and then changed the pickup location, claiming my requested location was “out of the vicinity.” This was never mentioned when I first made the reservation. It feels like they tell you what you want to hear just to secure the payment, and once the payment goes through, they change the details. Even worse, they refused to cancel the reservation even though the issue was clearly their mistake. Very frustrating experience! After talking to Viator, I called BananaJoes at first they were responsive and then it stopped. UNACCEPTABLE!!! My husband booked this tour for our entire family, and the experience was horrendous from beginning to end. We waited for over 30 minutes at the designated pickup location, but no one ever arrived to pick us up. At one point, someone from Banana Joe’s came by, but he informed us that he was not our driver and advised us to wait for a green van that never showed up. This situation was extremely frustrating and disappointing, especially since we planned this activity for our family. We wasted a significant amount of time waiting with no communication or updates from your company. Clearly they read my messages because of the double blue checks.

This is a good tour company, our guide Christian was informative and interesting for our tour of the Everglades. Unfortunately we had a situation, and he did everything to help us and to make it easier for us. We can highly recommend Banana Joe Tours Miami.

We are 2 couples spending just 2 days in Miami before going off on a cruise. We decided a tour was the best way to pack as much into a day as we could and we were right! Everything was great from making the booking to all communication via email letting us know our pick-up time. This morning before being picked up our guide Ruslán sent a WhatsApp confirming pick up time and how we were going to have a great day. We were collected promptly and we were a group of 12 altogether going to the Everglades. We absolutely loved our time at the Everglades and saw a couple of Alligators! After the Everglades we dropped everyone else off and we were just the 4 of us for our city tour, it exceeded all expectations! This was mostly down to Ruslán and his knowledge and packing so much into the afternoon! Thank you Banana Joes and Ruslán! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you!

Had a great day with Christian. Picked up right on time, with a smile, despite the early hour. Spent the morning with 3 other couples, doing the Everglades tour, which was really enjoyable. So beautiful, with a chance to see some alligators in a natural habitat. Well organised at the Everglades Holiday Park, with Christian offering to take photos, unprompted to record the occasion. On the way there, Christian had told us all about the Everglades, and what we could expect to see. He was really friendly and easy to chat to. In the afternoon, we ended up having him all to ourselves for the Miami city tour. What a great experience, so worth the money. Learnt so much more than we would have done, had we tried to do it ourselves. Got to see the sights, spend some time walking around different neighbourhoods, with Christian taking photos to preserve our memories. Highly recommended 😊

My friend and I who are living in New Zealand booked our Airboat Everglades and Miami City Tour months ago with Banajoe and from the beginning i found them very friendly and helpful. Christian was our driver today and he was brilliant he was very friendly, helpful and informative. Christian kept an eye out for all 7 of us that from start to finish. Christian was a fantastic guide and very knowledgeable. The Everglades tour was an experience to remember and we were lucky enough to see two alligators. Sadly I didn’t feel too well so had to cut city tour short (too much sun, nothing to do with tour) but would highly recommend

We only had a short time in Miami so did the Everglades and city tour combo in one day. It was a long day but it was fantastic. Our guide Christian was awesome! He gave us so much information. Lots of laughs and we feel like we really got to see a lot of Miami. The Everglade trip was wonderful as well. A really good way to fit in both in the one day. Very comfortable & clean transportation!

Ruslan was informative and a very friendly host . The trip to the Everglades is highly recommended and the city tour is a must to see all the sights of Miami as it’s a very large city and would have been difficult to navigate alone.

We did the miami Everglades then city tour , it was the highlight of our 16 days on vacation, The driver and tour guide Christian was Brilliant , he took us places we would have never found . Our family of 4 adults loved the trip and Christian was so knowledgeable and helpful . Great value for money . Everglades was amazing and the city tour was great long day but went quickly . We went to the Everglades in the morning which was OK- we went on the airboat ride and saw a few alligators, then went to the show. We then headed back to miami where everyone else on the trip alighted and we stayed on for the afternoon city tour. We were fairly limited for time in Miami and didn't want to rent a car so this trip was perfect. Our guide, Christian, was great, very knowledgeable and friendly- even being a photographer for us at various stops. We visited south beach and learnt about art deco, then went to star island, little Havana, Wynwood walls and the financial district. If you want to see all the top places in miami and learn about the background of them then I would 100% recommend this trip, it was worth every penny.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Booked months in advance and so excited only for a no show/no contact by the tour. Tried calling and VM full, and emailed with no response. Truly truly disappointing when this was our first time to Miami and really looking forward to the experience and flew here with an extra day before our cruise to sightsee. We received an email confirmation the day before of an 8am pickup time, then another hour later of an 8:23 pickup time. Just to be careful, we were waiting before 8am and waited until 9:35 and still no show, no contact. Completely unprofessional of Banana Joe Tours and a wasted day spent trying to contact. Not a good start to a trip spent months planning. :(

Dominick was amazing. He was so kind and knew a lot about Miami. We did the Evaglades and Miami tour. We saw so much and had lots of fun. Couldn’t recommend anyone better.

After reading endless trip reviews for months we were put off by the negatives. We woke up early on our first day in Miami and decided to take a gamble by booking Banana Joe’s. Wow, Did that pay off! The pick up was on time, comfortable and Christian gave us lots of information. Being a Sunday the wait time was about an hour for the boat so we were asked to go to the gator show first (not for me, I’ll leave it there). The airboat was fun but it’s a shame most are covered so you really need to be on a side. There are 2 bursts of going fast. An hour flies by. We were lucky to see 3 gators including a 10 footer openly swimming. We booked the Miami city tour as well to get our bearings which ended up just us and one other couple. We were dropped off for lunch and then given the best tour of Miami seeing so many areas we’d never be able to see in one day if we’d tried independently. Once again, Christian gave us a lot of information. It was a perfect mix of free time along with a trip in an air conditioned van.star island, Bricknell, downtown, little Havana, ocean drive….. he never rushed us at the end of the tour I was actually really emotional as we’d really bonded with our Irish friends and Christian made us feel like VIP’s. If you are thinking about booking with Banana Joe’s, stop and just do it! Professional, accommodating, friendly and excellent value for money (rare in Miami). I couldn’t ask for anything more.

The tour of Miami was excellent and very informative with really great personal attention from our guide. This is a really good tour to get a grasp of what Miami is about. The only disappointing part was hanging around at the Everglades Park for couple of hours. Be aware that they prioritise Cruise Ship tours.
