Marco Island Safari Truck Tour

Very interesting seeing the whole Island in a unique way. Particularly liked the knowledgeable guide who was good at explaining everything without being too over the top. Excellent way to see the Island if you are a first time visitor as he gave a taste of the Island which makes you want to explore it more. Well recommended for all ages groups.

It was fun and interesting! The owner/driver was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of fun facts about Marco Island. He showed us the biggest hill in Marco Island, and being from mountainous Pittsburgh, I thought it was hilarious. We took a little 10 minute walk in a shaded area to look at some interesting shells as well. He incorporated music and great audio into his descriptions.

Fun, informative, great way to learn things about the island! The length of the tour and the crowd size was perfect. Glenn made it fun and personal. The atmosphere was great. Best for all ages!

We had a great time learning about the history of Marco Island! It was a fun tour and we got to see some wildlife including owls, turtles, bald eagles, osprey and white ibis. Fun family and friends activity! The host/tour guide was fun and entertaining!

Great way to spend the morning. Glen was a great guide. The trip was fun and interesting. I found out things I hadn’t heard of in all the years I have been coming to the island. The safari is new to the island and I hope will continue to be successful. I would do the safari again.

A very enjoyable tour of Marco. We learned about the history of the island and also some fun facts - saw some interesting sights we probably wouldn’t have went to on our own. Entertaining guide and perfect duration for the tour. All ages can enjoy! Recommend!

Glenn knows Marco Island and its history, from the beginning to what famous people live where now. The best part was seeing examples of the wildlife that aren’t found most places.

My family and I had a wonderful time on the tour. Glenn was very friendly and engaging. He made the experience so enjoyable with the fun tunes that were played while also providing a ton of history and fun facts about Marco Island. His safari bus was very clean and comfortable and we were able to see many beautiful mansions and some of the wildlife that lives on the island. The hour and a half was the perfect amount of time to see everything. If you're looking for a fun and unique excursion with your family and friends, definitely book this tour!

Today’s tour was Excellent, Informative & Fun!! We have been coming to Marco for 15 years & Glen took us to places we have never seen before!! His narration & music to go with it was humorous & interesting!! We Thoroughly enjoyed this tour!!

What a surprising ADVENTURE!!!! My husband and I took a chance, and signed up last minute! Both of us, were unsure what to expect! It was an amazing fun time!!!! It was history, comedy, celebrity homes and animals in one tour! Who could ask for more??? We can’t wait to come back, and bring our adult children!!!

Such a great experience and well worth doing even if it’s the only reason to visit Marco Island everything about it was top notch and Glenn was a fantastic tour guide/driver, we would never have seen so much of the Island if we had tried to do it ourselves and it was a great way to relax and enjoy the scenery and wildlife.

Great fun and informative. Glen our guide was very personable, energetic and very knowledgeable of the island. The truck was extremely comfortable and in superb condition. We saw gopher tortoises, iguanas, burrowing owls, an osprey nest.

We had a wonderful tour with a guide who was clear in his explanations and careful in his driving. Even in mid-July in a heat advisory, the breeze was refreshing. We enjoyed the architectural and historical portion as well as the nature portion of the tour. The children on the tour were entertained and engaged.

Beautiful new Jeep with comfortable seats and a covered top. Easy to get on and off with stairs and a safety rail.

Great guide! Funny and very knowledgeable!

Very easy to find, we were met as we were driving up, parking was very easy. Due to it being off-season, my wife and I were the only two on the tour. We told the operator he could reschedule it for another day when he had more people, but he told us no it would be fine. The tour lasted about an hour and 20 minutes, we covered Marco Island, and he took us through a lot of very impressive things. The operator was very knowledgeable, and he filled it any questions that we had. The vehicle was open, so we had a nice breeze as we were driving on a very hot day. We got to see Marco Island, wildlife, some owls, and turtles. Overall, the experience was excellent, we found out a lot of things, and got to see a lot of things that we had no idea about. Definitely a worth taking!

The apartment is clean and fully stocked. The view is beautiful and relaxing.

We adored this tour. Our 3 year old was engaged the whole time with the scavenger hunt. The tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. We saw owls, iguanas, and tortoises which was a real treat! Highly recommend and we would gladly do this again.

This was a fun and informative excursion during our vacation on Marco Island this month. Our guide was friendly, energetic and very knowledgeable of the island. His truck is very comfy and we felt safe in our seats while he rode us around the island. On our tour we saw gopher tortoise, burrowing owls, royal poinciana tree in full bloom and two huge osprey nests! Don't pass up this fun tour.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and had some great jokes. Must do when you visit. The tour is about 120 to 130 minutes.

Book ahead, we got very lucky booking a slot the night before. It was absolutely brilliant! A unique way to see Marco island, Glen was extremely informative with great humour and certainly had an eye for spotting any wildlife…. And much to my pleasant surprise, we saw a lot! The real bonus for me was just how many Burrowing Owls there were, something I’ve always wanted to see! I can imagine kids loving this too and they are certainly catered for, as are disabled. A great mix of learning some history of the area, having a nose at the beautiful mansions and the wildlife ( binoculars supplied too!) Very impressed, highly recommend

Glen, the owner and tour guide was very personable, knowledgeable, and fun. On our tour around Marco, he showed/took us all the interesting sites while explaining the history of the island and its residents. While on tour we were lucky enough to see a lot of critters, I.e., ospreys, burrowing owls, iguana, gopher tortoises, curly tailed lizards, and even a black racer. Great experience.

Loved the Safari/tour. It was so entertaining and funny at times. The guide has a fantastic speaking voice. I loved hearing the history of the island and his suggestions.

The Marco Island Safari Truck Tour was SO much fun! 🐢🌴🚛 The open-air safari truck made the whole experience feel adventurous and way more fun then we ever expected. We cruised past beautiful waterfront homes, spotted wildlife, learned cool Marco Island history, and laughed the entire time thanks to the hilarious guide 😂 We saw burrowing owls, iguanas, osprey, and even gopher tortoises! The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made the tour entertaining from start to finish. Such a fun way to experience Marco Island — highly recommend!

The Safari truck tour is a must do if you’re visiting Marco Island. Your tour host and guide, Glenn, provides a safe, comfortable, and fun experience. You get to see different sections of the entire island. Glenn is very knowledgable about the history of the Island and its wildlife. Along the tour, the truck stops to point out various wildlife on the island. He recommends places to eat and things to do during your visit. This is one adventure not to be missed on Marco Island.
