Matt was awesome!! Super fun guide and the tour itself was a side of Florida you don’t normally see. Couldn’t recommend the tour enough. The pedal kayaks were in excellent shape and super easy to operate. The guide Matt was the owner and incredibly nice. Let us set the pace and made sure we still had time to see everything. Mangrove trails were so fun to navigate. This is a must do if you are looking for a way to get out in nature for an affordable price!

Sky was awesome and accommodating, he knew the area very well and would periodically stop and dive out of his kayak to have a hands on experience with while we learned about the mangroves.
Wonderful, thank you Sky for a great time. You went above and beyond to guide us through the Grove . I would be happy to do the tour again.
One of the best kayak tours we have been on. The guide was very nice and very knowledgeable. We were fortunate enough to watch a family of dolphins gather up their lunch!
Sky was an excellent guide! He was organized, knowledgeable and patient. His instructions were easy to understand and he made sure we knew what to do. He had a great sense of humor!! Although we did not see any manatee or dolphins, Sky did his best to look for them for us. I highly recommend this tour! We had a great time and will be back again! Thank you Sky!
My husband and I had a wonderful time on this trip. Very informative and the kayaks were easy to pedal. Skye was very nice and obviously enjoys his work.
This is the first time I wrote a review on a trip we did not take. When my daughter and I got there Sky told us that he did not have a tandem kayak. I was content just to leave it at that and check it up to life. Sky would have no part of that. He was able to call up one of his buddies who had a tour going out in 30 minutes and we were able to get on that tour with a tandem kayak. The experience was so cool. Even though we did not take the tour we signed up for, Sky did what needed to be done to make our experience wonderful. Loved his attitude and he really took care of us. That speaks volumes of his character and passion for his job. Next time we are in the area (Mom lives here so we are here at least twice a year) we will make sure we book this tour. Thanks, Sky!!! I really do appreciate what you did for Madison and I.
Our Senior Guide Kelly was amazing! We so enjoyed our time today. He was very knowledgable and friendly. We would highly recommend it!
Did the eco tour. Our guide, Kelly, was outstanding. He was very patient and informative. Can tell he has a real passion for what he does and as a result gives a tremendous tour. The mangrove tunnels were incredible. Very relaxing and peaceful trip for us. Highly recommend this tour and Liquid Blue!
If I could give a six star review I would! Our tour guide was Kelly he was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. The trip itself was amazing and the scenery was spectacular. There was even cute birds that would dive under the kayak to catch fish! I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone.
Our guide Mitch was great! In addition to the tour he gave us a little history about the tunnels, the waterways and the wildlife. It was a great way to spend our morning.
Kelly was absolutely awesome! He was very knowledgeable and patient with us. We would definitely recommend Liquid Blue for a kayak tour. We will most definitely do this again and request Kelly.
Overall this tour was phenomenal! Kelly made the entire experience from start to finish exceed our expectations. We were able to see several manatee up close and personal and the tunnels were a very unique and peaceful experience. Do not miss this on your trip to Sarasota!!
We got a private tour from Kelly for our group of 6 (ages 49 to 6) and everyone in the group had an amazing time! Kelly managed to guide us to 3 different manatee sightings, which was a special experience. Kelly shared some great stories, had an amazing sense of humor and everyone learned a great deal (even us older folks!) If you go out with Kelly, be on the lookout for "Schizo", a special bird, who seems to have a special bond with Kelly and anyone on his tours. Schizo made us all laugh throughout the trip and was a joy to watch as he would swim next to and under our kayaks to catch his fish! Thanks Kelly for a great day!
We had a wonderful trip, informative, instructional, magical mangrove tunnels. We had a lot of wind, but our guide, Kelly, instructed us how to approach the wind and didn't want us to miss a thing. Thank you Kelly and God Bless you and your family.
I was visiting friends in FL and we decided to go kayaking. This was my friend's first time kayaking. Our guide, Kelly, was the best! He taught us the proper paddling techniques before we started, which helped a lot. The area is beautiful to look at, but Kelly also was very informative and educated us on everything we saw as we paddled along. We learned so much and had an incredible time. It was the highlight of my trip. I would definitely go again, and again, and again...
Kelly was awesome. He was knowledgeable and super funny. We were supposed to be on the 945am tour and when we got there he told us the tide was to low to go into the tunnels but we could go out or come back in the afternoon when the tide was higher. We went back same that afternoon and had a great time and a wonderful experience.
I have used 3 different kayak tour companies over the last year. I have to say, the experience I had with Liquid Blue Outfitters was the best one! I went on a morning tour and saw 8-9 manatees and 4 dolphins. I will for sure go on another dolphin/manatee tour this winter. If you want to have a good time, check them out. As a bonus, the crew were very personable and professional... I think my guides names were Mitch and Kelly. 10/10 recommend!
Great day on the water. Bill was very knowledgable. It was nice to see the manatees and fish. I will definitely be back!
Very good company and very interesting adventure with my wife (on single kayak) and with my daughter (tandem kayak). Captain Bill was awesome. ))) It was windy in the bay and the kayak was constantly blowing, but this only added enthusiasm and perseverance. Easy paddling was only in the mangrove tunnels.
Kelly was an excellent guide! Patient and kept us entertained. We were able to see manatee and Kelly was very knowledgeable! Highly recommended...ask for Kelly The #Appalachian American. #1%er. Thank you!
This trip is a must if you want to get up close to manatee and dolphins. Kelly’s great personality and quick wit made the trip that much more fun. He’s also very knowable about both kayaking and the area. I highly recommend doing this tour even is you’ve never kayaked before. Thank Michael and Kelly for a great time.
I spoke with Mike on the phone to ask about this excursion. He was able to answer everything promptly and accurately. Some of the outfitters were charging more. I asked why and the response was basically fair is fair. They offer a great price! while still providing great service and equipment. Liquid Blue has all the same equipment as the more expensive vendors. I think there are about 10-20 vendors. We met Kelly, a really super friendly guy, around 1p.m. He took us to the kayaks, gave us some great advice for seeing manatees and dolphins and off we went. We had a great time. When we arrived back I was very relieved to learn that Kelly was going to haul all of our kayaks back to the Liquid Blue trailer. I am not sure we could have carried them. We were a little worn out at that point. We also unknowingly left a GoPro camera in one of the Kayaks. The owner called me. I rudely bounced the number I did not recognize. Mike left both and text and a VM to let me know. We have made arrangements to pick it up from Kelly in the morning. Basically, I will only rent from Liquid Blue in the future. Excellent organization. A+++++++++++++
My college friends and I had gathered in Sarasota for our annual reunion and decided to do this trip. I had never even been in a kayak, and was a bit PETRIFIED!. Our guide was Kelly and he was amazing. He was so patient with me and guided me patiently through every part of the journey. He helped me develop confidence and I was very comfortable by the end of our trip. I am so thankful that he helped me not give up. Would give him 10 stars!
Kelly, our experienced guide, led our group of 4 kayakers on an excellent two and one half hour tour. We were lucky to encounter two manatees at this time of year. Kelly knew how to handles this rare situation and put us in the best position to see the animals. We also saw dolphins in the distance, but unfortunately they continued in a different direction. From here, we took three different routes through the mangroves. Kelly let a different person lead the way each time. We were ready to lead after Kelly prepared us in the beginning on how to control and steer our kayaks. My friend and I can recommend Liquid Blue Outfitters to anyone!
Our tour guide Kelly was so passionate and knew so much about the environment. Great teacher too! I would recommend this to anyone near Sarasota! I will not forget this experience.
My girlfriend and I went on the mangrove and manatee tour. Our guide was Kelly and the whole experience was awesome. Kelly was incredibly knowledgable about the local wildlife and the area in general, as well as an awesome teacher for people that have never kayaked before. Although the wind was too rough to be able to go to where the manatees hang out which was a bit of a bummer, Kelly more than made up for it with other wildlife spotting. All around awesome tour and an even more awesome guide. 5 stars just doesnt quite do it justice. Just be sure to follow their suggestion of wearing sunscreen. 1,000% would reccomend and will be returning for another tour when we come back to Lido Key.
Kelly was an awesome your guide. We got to see dolphins. The mangrove tunnels were amazing. He had so much knowledge of everything on our tour and answered all questions. He was amazing with my nephew kept him entertained and engaged the whole time. His personality matched awesome with all of ours. I could not ask for a better experience.
Went on kayak tour today. Wow!!! As far as I know. Kelly is the only one too find a manatee today. Supercool. Great guy great sense of humor with a lot of information about the environment. Well done!!!!
We did the morning eco tour through the mangrove tunnels & it was great! Our guide Bear was the best! We saw as many as six manatee & multiple dolphins of a fishing frenzy. We were told that it is unusual to see that much wildlife so I guess we picked the perfect day to go. We love to kayak & would definitely go back to Liquid Blue Outfitters again!
Three of us took the two-hour kayaking trip through the mangrove tunnels of Lido Key. The kayaks were clean and very nice. We went through two long mangrove tunnels which were awesome - an experience I had never had before and would definitely recommend. We also saw at least one manatee - another great experience if you haven't seen one in the wild before. The scene is mostly tourists from out of town and gets pretty busy at the boat launch area. Our guide was Kelly and he was funny, knowledgeable, and helpful. He's been doing this a long time, and knows a lot about the area and the wildlife. Also he's respectful of nature - something important in an eco-tour guide. Overall I would recommend a tour from Liquid Blue, even if you're a local the mangrove tunnels were worth it.
Oldest group member was age 63 - youngest was18. Everyone gave this tour a big thumbs up! Our guide, Kelly, had an extensive knowledge of the area and the wildlife, and was very eco-conscious. Also had a great sense of humor. Saw a few manatees, but it was the one we didn't see that created the best memory. My son unknowingly floated over a manatee suspended just a few feet beneath him, and it just blew up the water under his kayak when it took off. What a sight! Kelly called it a manatee rodeo! The mangrove tunnels were very cool. Saw all types of water birds and fish. This tour is reasonably priced and we highly recommended it.
Awesome 3 hour kayak tour on Sarasota Bay, Sarasota FL. Our tour began at Lido Key, Sarasota, Fl, with tour guide Kelly leading our group of 7 kayaks (all ages and kayak skills represented) around parts of Byrd Key and Lido Key in this beautiful city's gorgeous bay. Kelly was great -- he essentially is a naturalist -- he knows the bird and marine inhabitants of the area. And he has a great sense of humor. We sighted dolphins on two occasions! We concluded the eco trip by winding our way through tunnels cut through mangrove trees. Incredible experience.
