Manatee And Dolphin Kayak Tour - Wildlife Refuge (Titusville)

It was a wonderful experience to see and be with the manatees and so many birds and aquatic creatures. My guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable! What an amazing place and a magical experience.

We went on the manatee and dolphin kayak tour at the wildlife refuge. It was an amazing day. Our guide, Zoey was very knowledgeable and shared many things with us about the animals and was able to answer any questions we had. We saw the manatees in multiple locations and we did get to see dolphins playing and eating. There were many other wildlife animals that we saw as well as enjoyed the scenery. It was such a wonderful experience and we would definitely do it again!

EVERYONE WHO VISITS TITUSVILLE needs to go kayaking with Jorge! This is a "not to be missed" experience for your family. Even little children love to kayak! Our grandkids pick kayaking over Disney anyday. Experience seeing manatee and dolphin in the wild, sea turtles and many different types of birds. The guide will provide you with pictures of your trip, you can paddle along and not worry about a thing. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND JORGE AND A DAY AWAY KAYAK!!

Save $ by booking with the company directly on their website. Saw a flamboyance of flamingos fly by us which was very unique. I had a manatee's face like 2 feet away from the kayak. Be prepared to paddle that kayak if it's windy you'll need to power through it. Jorge and Hope were both very friendly guides.

Jorge and Hope led us on the best kayaking tour! We saw flamingos, egrets, roseate spoonbills (my fav), pelicans and so many more! We also got to experience a manatee coming right up to our kayak to say hello. Such a beautiful experience. Thank you! Can’t wait to try the bioluminescence tour!

This was a super cool experience, definitely recommend taking this tour if you’ve got the time. It is very beginner friendly, and our guide even offered to tow us if we got tired! We learned quite a bit about the geography and wildlife in the surrounding area. The manatees were definitely the highlight of the tour, but there were also quite a few birds to be seen as well. Our group (DiscoveryBound) has been kayaking with A Day Away Kayak Tours for the past 20+ years. We usually have around 40-50 kayakers each year in March or April and have really enjoyed working with the company. They divide our group in 1/2 and we are able to go out around the same time and the guides are so knowledgeable, fun, supportive for stragglers and very professional. They are safety conscious and spend time in the beginning explaining everything and even on the water. We always see manatees and birds and yes at times, jellies, dolphins, and those gators! They share their knowledge of the mangroves, manatees, birds, etc. A big shout out to our guides: Jorge, Drew, Zoey, Matt & Clay! Our Guide was Brandi and she was incredibly knowledgeable about where we were and what we were seeing. My sister and I are in our 70's and not really the best of shape, Brandi gave a good lesson on what muscles to use and how to get the most out of the paddle. I have only been kayaking one time before so this is good to know. Would 100 out of 100 book a bioluminescence tour if I had more time in Florida.

We went on our journey with David and he was a great guide! We got to see all sorts of creatures, even a surprise seahorse was floating around. David was super knowledgeable on all of the creatures we saw, and the views were just stunning!

It was a great day on the water. We kayaked among about 20 manatees at the boat launch lagoon and then went out to the bird island sanctuary where we saw a flock of flamingos and spoonbill and egret rookeries in the trees. Our 9 year old granddaughter was happy we did not run into any alligators as we had seen a bunch of them the day before at Midway Airboat and that was close enough. We didn't see dolphins but did see some at the tidal pool at Sebastian Inlet State Park the next day The length of the tour and level of exertion were just right. Double kayak for 9 year old was a good call. Our guide Matthew was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful-- the trifecta.

I did this tour several time while living in Orlando. The crew is amazing. We always saw dolphins and manatees. On our last tour we also saw a turtle and a gator.

We had an amazing time on our tour. Caleb was friendly, informative and really chill. He was very in tune with the group and knew when people were getting tired and what the group was capable of. We seen plenty of awesome wild life such as manatees, dolphins, flamingos and pelicans. Overall I highly suggest going on any of their tours you will have a blast!

We paddled through mangrove canals, some open water. Saw dolphins and manatees, an osprey nest, many other native birds; an alligator on the shore. The weather (mid-March) was warm and sunny, a slight breeze, not much current. Matthew, our guide was personable & knowledgeable and a great deal of fun!

We had an excellent kayak trip with Zoe! She was so friendly and pleasant to paddle with as well as being professional and informative. There was only 1 other couple on our tour and since we both wanted to see the flamingos out by Bird Island, the dolphins and manatees took a back seat. I was so appreciative that Zoe was flexible and geared the tour to what we all really wanted to see. She was very safety conscious and respectful of the birds, making sure we kept a safe distance. I would definitely book with A Day Away Kayak Tours again!

Went with a group of friends visiting from Colombia. Matthew our host waited patiently for us as we arrived later than the expected time. He was very gracious and patient. He coached us up on safety and took us on a tour where we encountered dolphins, manatees and a very large alligator along the shoreline. Matthew was very knowledgable and spoke clearly and slowly for our friends who aren't native English speakers.

Knowledgeable and friendly guide who tried his best to find us a manatee but it was too cold for them to be out. We did see a huge crocodile, fish, jellyfish and lots of birds. Enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours in a beautiful and peaceful setting.

Our guide, Drew, was very fun and was able to share some of his knowledge on the area and wildlife. My wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon and Drew made sure to cater to what we wanted to get out of the experience. A cold front came in the night prior to our trip so the weather ended up being very unfavorable with the cold wind. Drew kept us out of the stronger currents as best he could and protected from the wind. We did the excursion in hopes of spotting a wild manatee which is a dream of my wife’s. Drew may have spotted a manatee nose but we weren’t able to see it resurface. We did see bio-luminescent jelly fish, many species of birds, and our favorite was the dolphins. One down side was the amount of boat traffic and fisherman in the area on the bank and in water. I would recommend planning your trip around less active times of the week. Ours was Saturday at noon and the weather was unfavorable so I can only imagine how busy it gets on a better weather day.

Our guides were right on time with all equipment needed and reviewed the tips and rules quickly. They were knowledgeable about where we could find wildlife and answering all our questions. They were fun and kind and engaged us in fun facts and let us take our time watching the animals. Zoe and David were great!

My wife and I saw manatees and dolphins up close and when two of the 4 grandchildren with us were ready to go back to the shore due to some light rain, one of the guides escorted them and me back to the shore. The knowledge about what you are seeing that these guides have is amazing.

Our kayaking trip to see the manatees was the absolute highlight of our honeymoon. The serene waters and close encounters with these gentle giants were magical. A special shout out to Zoey, who made the experience even more wonderful. Her knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious, and she was such great company throughout the trip. We did a daytime tour and it was great! Our guide was Zoey, who was amazing and very fun to spend 2 hours with. It was a gorgeous day. We saw lots of manatees, fish, birds and a few rays. It was an amazing experience.

We had the best time!! I went with my 2 young adult kids and 2 16 yr old. Our guide was Matthew. Matthew was kind and patient, he answered any questions we had and really seemed to enjoy his job. We seem manatees, dolphins and some sting rays. Very cool. Recommend 10/10!!

My original booking was on a Tuesday but the weather was not ideal. They were able to reschedule me for Wednesday. I guess the original tour guide had cancelled so they were able to get a different tour guide named Aidan. Aidan was very nice and an excellent tour guide. He had to tug our kayak behind him seeing that my son and I sucked at kayaking. The whole experience was wonderful and I definitely would recommend this company.

Zoey was a amazing guide 100/10 experience. Zoey was informative, sweet, and bubbly. We got to see a lot of manatees, dolphins, and other wild life. Would absolutely some back with more friends and family!

Had a great time doing the manatee encounter kayak tour. We showed up early and our guide Drew was friendly and got us on the water quickly. He was very knowledgeable about the area and kept an easy paddling pace for beginner kayakers to keep up with. We went to a few spots to view the manatees, and were able to get very close to them. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to see some manatees, Drew was a great guide!

We totally loved our guide Zoe ! We saw manatees, birds, and dolphins! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is because we tandem kayaked which is not for us! But I would do it again , just single kayak instead!

Trip was great! Chaz gave us a quick lesson on kayaking and then spent the rest of the time paddling a couple of areas. We saw 15+ manatees that came right up to the kayaks - amazing experience. We found 1 decent size gator and chased a pod of dolphins. Highly recommend!!!

We did this tour with Chaz as our guide - he was great - very knowledgeable, fun, flexible. Kayaking was great and we saw many different animals - alligators, many manatees, dolphins, turtles, birds (large blue herons and flamingos plus others). Our scheduled tour with another company was cancelled and Chaz worked it out so we could still do a tour - he even extended his planned day. Thanks very much Chaz! We had a terrific day!

Our trip with Chaz was fantastic. He’s very knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and the area and can also talk about almost anything! He’s also a great guide, helpful, skillful with the kayaks, serious about safety and just a really nice guy. Get him for your guide! The tour was wonderful. We saw manatee, dolphins and lots of mangroves. The two-hour timeframe is just right but know that you will get wet! We had towels for our car seats and it really helped.
