Lauderdale By The Sea Replicated Shipwreck & Reef Snorkel Trails

We didn't get to snorkel due to no fault of the company. The ocean was red flagged and not safe both days we tried. Our guide was very communicative and friendly. If we come back to the area we would definitely try again. Waiting to see if we will get a refund.

The snorkeling guide was friendly and knowledgeable. However, the area we covered was relatively small, and there was no shipwreck of any kind, just some debris. However, we saw nurse sharks and a wide variety of fish and a bit of underwater plant life. It was a worthwhile trip. And I plan to buy my own equipment and go snorkeling when I next visit the ocean. So thanks for the introduction to snorkeling.

We had an amazing experience snorkeling today thanks to our guide James! He was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. He shared so much educational information throughout the tour and made sure everyone felt safe, comfortable, and confident in the water at all times. On the way out to the water, we unfortunately had an encounter with someone from another company who was very rude to our group, and our guide, James, handled the situation with total professionalism and calmness. We really appreciated how attentive and respectful he was throughout the entire experience. You can tell he genuinely cares about the people on his tours. Highly recommend!

James was an awesome guide, very patient and helpful. Took the time to go over the equipment and what to expect while out by the reef. Kept his cool even after having to deal with a very rude and belligerent woman who appeared to be intoxicated at the beginning of the trip. Would do a tour with James again any day. Definitely recommend.

James was a great guide. Very thorough explaining the gear and what to expect on the excursion. Pointed out what to look for that we might have not known on our own. He even found us a nurse shark hiding in the coral reef.

My family booked a snorkeling tour over our spring break, and it was canceled without our knowledge. Not knowing this we still showed up and waited for about 30 minutes, we were then greeted by a very rude employee who treated us like we were idiots for thinking we could go snorkeling. Apparently the waves were too high and they called us to cancel but we checked our call history and they completely forgot to call us. This completely ruined our plan for the day and left us horribly dissatisfied and disappointed. Overall it was a terrible experience that I would not recommend.

We had an absolute blast! The guide were helpful, kind and attentive. Highly recommend, but book the package with the paddle board- it was a lot to swim for an hour straight. The view was worth it and I would do it again though!

We had an incredible snorkel experience, especially as a parent sharing this with my daughter. The highlight was our guide, James, who was knowledgeable, patient, and fantastic with kids. He took the time to explain what we were seeing, made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, and genuinely cared that we all had a great time. This was such a memorable experience for us, and a big part of that was thanks to James. Highly recommend this tour to anyone — especially families!

The electric bikes were in great condition and made the ride effortless and enjoyable. Troy’s passion for the city really showed—he explained the history, neighborhoods, and gave us plenty of recommendations for after the tour. We learned so much while having a great time. Would absolutely do this again.

This was a fun experience! Stosh was an awesome tour guide! The reef was amazing. I saw a Ray, a nurse shark, lots on angel and other species of fish!

Originally booked snorkeling but water was to rough so they stayed in constant contact with me giving me other options of a refund. We went paddle boarding instead and our guide was awesome definitely recommend.

This review is not about any one particular establishment but rather the entire area of Lauderdale By The Sea. It was our second trip to this area in as many years. Everything was within walking distance of our accommodation. On the strip there are plenty of restaurants with their own fare and music. How can you go wrong. People were all in good humour and happy. One of the waitress even gave my wife and hug and thanked us for coming down when she found out we were CANADIANS. This was only a short 3 day layover prior to a cruise. Due to all the political unrest in the USA we were very hesitant on going but everything turned out well. GOOD LUCK!!!!!

We had booked for a Tuesday , I had my week all planned he called Monday night to reschedule due to cloudyness , we go the next day , met on the beach to swim out to see nothing. No coral no shipwreck of any sort. Complete waste of time and money

We had a fun first time snorkeling experience! Kent was great, shared history about the reef/area and pointed out cool fish. Great communication about meet up and he took pictures and shared them with us. We will definitely be back for more tours in the future!

We were unable to do the snorkel since the company said conditions would not be good for it. They were very helpful in finding us another tour option that we could do.

The guide was supposed to call the day before to give final instructions. We never received a call. We showed up. No one was there. We called and found out trip had been cancelled. We were given a kayak trip to replace it. It was okay - guide was nice but it wasn’t worth the money. Very disappointed

It was a last minute booking for me but I am so glad I did. Kent was a great guide as he took me (and others) out to the reef. He was so generous with the descriptions of what I was to do, and what I was looking at. I would definitely go again and highly recommend this to everyone.

Kent and cassidy were amazing they were very informative and in general fun to go out and snorkel with would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area looking to snorkel

Didn't actually get to go. Our guide contacted us as we were walking downstairs to our Uber to head to the meeting point, and he let us know that the water conditions were rough and we would not enjoy the trip of we tried to snorkel. I was so disappointed! This was our last day and I really looked forward to snorkeling here. We couldn't cancel our Uber because he was there already, so we just took the ride to the beach where we were supposed to meet anyway. There were tons of snorkel groups there with children. Elderly, and others who appeared to be less physically able than us, so we felt like we could've done the activity without an issue. I texted the guide a few times to find out what we could do in the area and he had suggestions for restaurants, etc. I asked about a refund of our money and he told me to contact Viator. Then he let me know he was off work and that I would be able to correspond with his associates, if I needed to. That seemed weird.

Really helpful and considerate guide, willing and able to adapt to varied skill levels. Much appreciated.

We were not able to go snorkeling but we did get to go kayaking down the river by the shop and that was a lot of fun

Kent had everything ready to go and provided good information and instruction. He is excited about snorkeling, seeing the ocean life, and definitely cares about you having the best experience possible…and I did! I highly recommend this snorkeling trip!!! We saw a turtle too!!!
