Kings Bay Manatee Watching Cruise

My husband and I decided to take a sightseeing boat tour of King’s Bay. Justin was our captain, and he was excellent and very knowledgeable of the area. We saw lots of wildlife, but no manatees. Possibly due to the rainy weather and high tide. But he didn’t disappoint, and we would highly recommend this excursion.

Was nice to get out on the water today. Captain Glen was entertaining and informative. Trip was an extra half hour which was nice.

Fantastic boat tour. Captain Glenn clearly knew the area and where to look for Manatees. We saw several including a mum and baby. Would highly recommend this.

Absolutely brilliant experience with Captain Glenn. We saw several manatees but Glenn's narration was the highlight of the unhurried and relaxing trip.

Captain Phil was amazing and very knowledgeable of the area. The tour was long enough to see the bay and the amazing architecture.

Fantastic, beautiful cruise with tons of stories of the bay and history. It allowed me to see a different part of the bay that you won’t see on the Swimming with the Manatees tour (also highly recommend 🥰). Captain Phil has a great gift for story telling and made the trip fun.

Fun and informative bay tour. Easy boat trip and reasonably priced. Capt. Philip made sure we saw all the wildlife, not just Manatees. Really enjoyed ourselves.

We had Phil as our tour guide and he told us fun stories throughout the tour. We saw a TON of wildlife. We saw manatees (including a breeding pod) native birds, an alligator, turtles, and a dolphin! It was the perfect amount of time on the boat.

Know you are part of a group and sit on bench seats…….not very comfortable but good for seeing all the sights

We had a great afternoon tour of the bay. Captian Glenn put us on several Manatees, Osprey, Cormorants and a large Turtle! He had great stories about the area. I highly recommend booking a tour!

Capt Glen was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He enjoyed the experience as much as we did. The stories were half the fun. We saw several manatees, turtles and ospreys (dad’s and babies).

There are always manatees to see, if your guide knows where to look. Very knowledgeable, personable guide. We learned a lot, even though we’ve done this before. We were at another manatee tour the day before and saw zero manatees.

We saw dozens of manatees! Captain was so knowledgeable. Comfortable number of passengers. Safe fun!

Captain Phillip is an excellent Master Captain explaining everything well with dedication and excitement. Me and my family saw about 20 manatees! I am honestly shocked with the amount of fun me and my family had!

In fairness very windy only saw two manatees. The captain was very knowledgeable. My main concern was starting late and coming back on time.i felt that the last 15 min. he kind of just made a big circle to waste time I feel it was not what i expected. I realize that with the wind conditions we were lucky even too see two manatees and a gator. Maybe on a different day I would recommend but my experience was not the greatest a bit disay

Capt. Phil kept us engaged with an ongoing narrative. He asked us where we were from and was concerned about our welfare. The weather wasn’t ideal but he made the best of it.

We had a few days before we needed to head back up north. Someone told us about this place for seeing manatees. The cruise was a great way to see some of them. The captain was very informative and lived in the area. He also gave us great recommendations for some great local restaurants.

Our guide was great! I did expect this to have more nature and be less touristy. We never left the bay and there were hundreds of kayakers and swimmers also in the same area. Making it very distracting for looking for the manatees. I also expected the the water to be clearer and the boat to be more comfortable for viewing. It wasn’t my best manatee tour, but the guide and vibes were great.

My mother, sister and I had Mark for our tour guy. AWESOME! He knew exactly where to take us, had answers for all our questions, pointed out interesting facts about the bay, and who lived in various houses, etc. It was really the best part of our mini little trip. Tip him well.

Had a great time, skipper was informative and full of local knowledge. We got to see manatees, turtles and lots of different birds.

Very nice boat tour around the bay. Had to search a bit to find the Manatees, but we finally found whole families in the cove the guide said he would. Learned a lot about the area in the process.

Captain Glenn was great. He was very informative. He told us the area's history as we passed by landmarks. We saw many manatees in several areas.

try to book early to get onto the a.m. tour, seems to be more manatees. Captain Phil was very knowledgeable about the local history of the bay area.

Captain Mark was entertaining and also took time to point out every manatee. We really enjoyed it!! We also saw a school of dolphins Chasing mullet.

It was a great time. Informational and relaxing. Saw lots of manatees. You can bring drinks and snacks.

My family and friends had a great time with captain Philip!! He is a very knowledgeable about manatees and the King's bay history. He also gave good tips on great restaurants and other things to do in the area. We were very fortune to see >200 manatees. we absolutely love the tour and can't wait to come back for swim tour with Manatees next time.

It was a very fun boat ride. Glenn our boat driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot about the manatees and the area.

First of all hats off to Captain Phillip! He was a polite,entertaining,professional. We so enjoyed our Manatee watching experience. He had some great stories and definitely knew where to find the manatee. I also want to give a thank you to the person who rescheduled our tour due to one person's illness. We were unable to do it the through viator, but when called the tour directly, they took care of it. Thank you for being so kind and so helpful.

Fantastic tour. Captain was very knowledgeable and provided an excellent tour. We will highly recommend this tour to friends. Planning on revising Crystal River over the winter months and will take this cruise again!

We had a good time. Our Captain was very knowledgeable about the Manatees, the Springs and the bay. We didn't see any manatees because of the high tide but we still felt like we got our money worth because he was entertaining and we could tell he was interested in their safety.

We had Captain Glenn, who was very knowledgeable about the local wildlife, especially the manatees and gators. We appreciated his diligence in finding a few manatee sightings for us during the off season. We got a nice tour of the bay and were highly entertained by Captain Glenn's stories of his adventurous life.

Even though we didn’t see any manatees, Mark our captain, made the trip fun and informative! He did an amazing effort to find the manatees.

We were lucky enough to get Captain Glenn, who is very knowledgeable of the manatees and history around the area. We actually got to see a manatee mother and child. We had an awesome time and really enjoyed his company. He did not get annoyed with our many questions. We had so much fun.

Able to find manatees even in off season (6/12). Captain grew up here and was a wealth of info. A snorkeling boat joined our water area and made it even better. Captains apparently work together! Great tour and not as expensive. New equipment very clean
