Key West Shore Excursion: Hop-on Hop-off Trolley Tour

Easiest way to travel around the island. Good for the entire day. See a place you want to get off at, jump off, then get back on later. Just keep your receipt or sticker. Just needs to keep going much later into the night. Good guided tour.

The tour bus was great. Manny was an excellent guide and driver. My wife and I really enjoyed the tour and the hop on hop off feature. It was a warm and humid day, dress accordingly, bring a cool drink and if you have one, a portable fan, it is an open air bus. My issue was with direct booking via the website. I tried to book for two people once, and after pressing purchase button, the web site spun for 30 seconds then said something went wrong. So I tried a 2nd time and it went through. Then I looked at my credit card and there were two charges. I disputed the 2nd charge as a duplicate. and then went on the cruise and arrived at Key West Aug 4th. When we showed up neither booking worked and I had to purchase a third tour. So I was charged 3x for one tour. The Citi Visa is looking into the duplicate charges now.

The hop on and off trolley is a must do! The tour guides were very knowledgeable in the history of Key West! We enjoyed our tour of Key West! They do need to be able to print off more than one receipt when you have a large group that would like to split up!

The service was great, the bus was comfortable. However the company had some difficulties in the early morning, it was clearly communicated and always updated with the new situation. The trip went well, Key West is amazing!!! I liked when getting back to Miami everyone was droppwd off at the same place where picked up one by one/groups/fams. I highly recommend this service.

We rode the loop once to get the lay of the land. Second time we got off at places we decided to visit. We are in our 70s and it was a great non-stess way to see key West. It could have run later.

Have money for tips. No long waits for trollies. Driver's are knowledgeable, some better than others for cleverness (Mr Ed!) It's a great way to get around Key West and preview possible destinations.

Tour Guide was informative & really made an excellent trip. We did get off after the total trip around the circuit. We learned where many interesting things were and visited some of them afterwards.

Old Town Trolley was an excellent way to see the city. The drivers were knowledge and highly entertaining and the stops were well located. We used it several times while we’re there.

Adam the best tour guide. His personality speaks volumes. He was very knowledgeable and funny. He made everyone feel comfortable in the rain. He narrating was wonderful. It was fantastic. . I would recommend.

There are several different of these in town. Drivers was great, informative, and we enjoyed the history of the island. When we booked, didn’t realize they stopped running at 4:30, so lost out on some use. The unlimited on-off was very useful. Little pricey, but everything in key west was.

It was ok. You can walk it as easy. One guide was informative the others not so much. Key West has serious service staffing issues! It shows!

Ride was worth it. Ride around to see what is on the tour then ride again getting off where there of things that interest you.

Instructions on getting voucher/ticket was vague. First Trolley operator let us on by only showing voucher. Next time we hopped back on we had someone who knew how to get voucher and give us stickers to ride. Overall a good experience on the Trolley.

Doug was our driver. It seemed that he was a little racist and sarcastic. The speaker voice was low so could not hear everything. Hop on hop off is great experience but the drivers should be the same to all race and color.

Hi we booked excursion out of Margaritaville Islander key West trolley. We had a great time getting off the trolley and back on drivers were very professional and with great humor, Driver Ian is a great asset to the trolley company. Well explained tour and very professional at their duties. Thanks for a great tour.

We got a discount through our bus tour group but the trolley ticket was still WAY overpriced for what it is, a ride around a small island. We spent more on the trolley ride than getting to the island from Miami. It makes sense if you can't get around on foot but it's such a small island that we thought it would have been worth our money to just walk around ourselves!

The Hop on Hop off Trolley was a great way to see where everything was on the island. We road it for the full tour at first and then again to get off at certain stops. The narrated part was informative and sometimes entertaining (depends on the driver). The only downside I saw was that they do not wait at the stops really at all. If you aren’t there when it pulls up it will leave you and you’re waiting another 30 minutes or so.

Experience was well worth it. Crew was fantastic, knowledgeable, and kept us safe. Would recommend this excursion.

Guides were very informative and the ride itself wasn’t bad at all. However, we only ended up getting on twice for a couple stops because the wait seems very long between trolleys, especially on a hot, humid day.

I recommend the tour but not in the hot summer months. The tour guides were funny and informative, very nice! The busses at the very least need fans.

Great way to see Key West. The tour was nice but our driver was dry and boring and although he was friendly, he took the fun out of the tour.

We only did 2 hop ons. Robert, our 1st trolley driver and tour guide, was very mindful and, at the same time, funny. He made sure that we are safe by repeatedly reminding us of the trolley safety rules. He also ensured that people could hear and enjoy his narration by letting us know when we're getting loud. I had great fun during this activity & learned a lot as well

Tour taken 5/23/24 Worst company ever. Dont waste your money. Paid 55 per person times 3- We were able to get on at first stop. Got off at 2nd stop and never were able to get back on again. Drivers would wave us off. Biggest scam ever. Do not purchase this. We ended up walking over 4 miles trying to get picked up at other stops. Ended up walking back to start. Dont waste your money. We bought through our tour guide on a Viator booked trip from miami on our bus. The Miami tour guide on the bus took our cash and did not give us a receipt. Called Viator was in the phone with them for 2 hours. Nothing solved just excuses. Don’t book with Viator the will blow you off. It is all a SCAM

Grace was an excellent tour guide. She had lots of information along the way about the area. Many places you could explore.

Loved our tour guide, Grace. Where there were detours, she didn’t miss a beat. She took a different way and kept on. She knew the history very well. She is witty and funny and knowledgeable.

What a great way to see Keywest! Had a wonderful time w/my daughter riding along & listening to all the different trolly drivers share a bit of history & fun facts about the island. Like any other hop on/off tours it is the best way to get a visual of the town & then choose the stops you want to get off. Definitely worth doing, highly recommend!

We really enjoyed seeing all the sights and hearing some history. We really enjoyed getting to go to the original Margaritaville as well as the Butterfly conservatory.

Tim was our guide and he is amazing! He made the whole ride entertaining, even thru a traffic jam! Great tidbits of information and the jokes are top shelf!

We had a great time in key west and the trolley was a plus. It was great to see all the sights and hear their history !!

I would definitely use the trolley again - much easier than trying to navigate a city on your own. We enjoyed the driver and his city information mixed with clean humor! It was STILL hot as ever (humid in August!) but we would have melted without this tour! We used the trolley to take us to the Southern most point, so it was a distance from where our cruise ship was docked. Also used the coupon our 2nd driver gave us for a free Pina Colada and/or Key Lime Pie! Thanks - both were tasty!

Truly the best way to get an overview of the island with the opportunity to get off the bus when you like and continue with the tour at your convenience. If you’re stopping at Key West on a cruise and time is limited, this is the tour for you. We had a fantastic guide, Gabe. He knew the history and facts of the significant island spots and was quick with the jokes. We didn’t want to stop the tour, afraid we’d miss some important facts and/or silly jokes. 😂 Highly recommended! Look for Gabe!

I paid over $150 for a tour online at no time did it give me a tour time for the trolley. When I attempted to use the trolley I found out the trolley stops running at 5pm. It has been impossible to contact the company to get a refund.
