Easy to set up! The guides were so awesome!!! The boat was great!! There were only 6 of us on the trip! It was so great to not be in one of those overcrowded catamarans!!! It was like we had the boat to ourselves and it was relaxing! They provided plenty of drinks and went out of their way to show and tell us all about the wildlife and plants in the area!! The sailing was great but the wind didn’t want to cooperate. I’ve been on at least 10 snorkeling trips and this was by far the BEST!!! A shoutout to the crew! Sorry I forgot the 2 guys names! They were WONDERFUL!! They even suggested a place that had the BEST burgers on the island!!

Itinerary
Snorkel the beautiful Florida Keys reefs from a 54’ sailing yacht. Small groups only - no crowds! Enjoy the reef like the locals do. Imagine the sun on your face, wind in your hair and a cool drink in your hand as you sit under the billowing sails of the Floridays. You’ll jump into the beautiful blues and greens of the ocean to explore the reef. Expect to see marine life up close and personal. Common sightings include tropical fish, eels, turtles, dolphins, anemones or urchins and who knows what else. As an added benefit, you’ll get to see what Key West looks like from the water side - always eclectic, always beautiful. Come sail with us, we’d love to share our love of the Keys with you!

Great crew, comfortable vessel, beautiful reef! We had a great snorkeling trip. Learned a lot about the wildlife and town from the crew, too.
We had such a lovely time and got to see more fish than I expected. The staff were very friendly and so nice! If you get sea sick/ motion sickness I would definitely recommend taking medicine before going as the sea was a little rough and it's about an hour commute from the dock to the reef.
This was a great experience! Awesome captain (Liz) and crew (Jared). Very informative if you’re a first time snorkeler like me. The boat was beautiful and clean and I felt comfortable and at ease. The spot where they took us to snorkel was absolutely beautiful and we saw all sorts of fish! We even saw dolphins on the ride out. Would definitely book with this excursion again!
Great time, captain Liz and dive instructor Cortney were amazing. From the moment you reach the pier behind the Hyatt you just know it’s going to be a great time. The ship is beautiful and the water was clear. It took about 45 minutes to get to the snorkeling area and once there the fish were easy to find, swimming all around. Unfortunately the coral is struggling and is not the bright colors you expect to see so go for the fish. They supply the flippers, mask and snorkel. But you can bring your own if you want. Which we did. After the snorkeling on the way back cocktails were supplied if you wanted a beer or wine. Sodas and water were also provided. Liz and Cortney were fun and knowledgeable of the area and made the trip an overall fantastic experience. I would charter with them again.
Liz and Courtney were a lot of fun and made the afternoon a great experience! The whole family enjoyed the day!
Had the benefit of a beautiful breezy day, so we were able to have a very enjoyable sail. Capt. Eric and Ransom were friendly and professional and shared stories about the area. Equipment worked well and they had a nice variety of complementary drinks. Had one hour to snorkel, which was about the right amount of time. Only slight disappointment was health of the reef and limited variety of fish, but that’s is probably the result of climate change so I can’t hold it against the operator.
This was a fantastic trip. Smaller boat, not as crowded as the bigger catamarans. Doug and Ransom were excellent guides. We jumped in the water and were on top of the reef. So many fish. Would definitely do this again.
Excellent experience, my 8 year old daughter and I went on this little excursion. The crew went out of their way to make sure my daughter felt comfortable. Beautiful reef, plenty of time to snorkel, highly recommend!
It was a perfect day! The sail there and back was so peaceful! Doug and crew were so professional and knowledgeable. Snorkeling - wow! We saw so many different fish, a ray and spiny lobsters! I know our guides can’t control the weather or nature, but they certainly called in a favor to provide an excellent experience!
My wife and I had a fun time sailing and snorkeling with Courtney and Doug. They were very helpful in giving us tips and instructions for snorkeling, they pointed out a hammerhead shark and a few turtles on the way back and they were very nice to all of us. The sailboat was very comfortable. We saw a lot of fish snorkeling and we had plenty of time in the water. Highly recommend
They canceled the night before so just check with them even if you’ve booked and paid. Luckily we were able to book another tour with Small Group Snorkel Adventure, which was fantastic.
Great experience with the friendly staff. Liz and Emily are amazing with knowledge and communication. I would recommend this tour to everyone for the Key West snorkeling.
We had an amazing time today! Our captain and crew were amazing and gracious hosts. They were so knowledgeable and accommodating. They made sure our trip was perfect!
It was awesome . We had a great experience the staff was friendly and helpful . The fish were colorful and the ride was perfect seven miles to the reef saw many types of fish . Bring sunscreen it gets hot . I recommend using the noodle it keeps u a float . We went early first group out at 10 a.m I think we made a wise choice . Loved seeing all the differ ent types of fish great experience can’t wait to book with them next visit.
Snorkeling was very good. Crew was nice. Captain seemed a little cranky, but ok. Not much sailing, even though there was plenty of wind. It was really just a boat ride.
We had a great experience snorkeling! Our kids 21, 16 and 10 absolutely loved this experience. We saw so many fish. The boat was clean and the crew was awesome. A chill morning on th water.
Overall, not the best. As first time snorkeling, instructor didn’t really explained how to properly use the equipment so we expended about 45 minutes trying to properly learn to use it. We had to figured out by ourselves. No margaritas or any other than water or pop was offered to the adults in my group. The spot they took us. Barely had some fish and “coral”were really deep so barely visible. I wouldn’t book with this company again.
Wonderful sail out to the reef. Snorkeled among amazing tropical fish, manta rays, barracuda and the best was a sported eagle ray! Fun music and drinks. The crew was super kind to my friend that had anxiety about open waters. My daughter and I had a blast- we’ve snorkeled all over the Caribbean and this was one of the best excursions!
Had a great time. Very pleasant, snorkeling was fun and crew was great. I believe his name was Ransom worked incredibly hard. Wife did not go in the water and said captain was very safety conscious.
The captain and first mate were personable . The sailboat pristine. We had a great day on the water . Thank you
We had an absolutely amazing tour! Weather was beautiful, crew was fantastic, and we had great conditions for snorkeling. I highly recommend this to anyone thinking about it!
I would recommend Key West Sailing and Snorkeling to anyone visiting the Keys. We had an amazing time. Crew was fantastic! We will definitely do this again when we return.
Good snorkeling experiences. Guideswere great. DISAPPOINTED that the trip wasn't a sailing as well as snorkeling as advertised. We moored to reef. Could have sailed but guides appeared to just get us to the snorkeling.
Great staff who were knowledgeable and accommodating. Boat was well kept and perfect for snorkeling. As usual, beautiful clear water with good visibility. Everything was as described in Viator. Really had a fun time. Would definitely go again.
Captain Eric and Ranson were both very nice, professional and down to earth and had conversations with all aboard. The water was very clear and we had a great snorkeling experience. Would definitely recommend Floridays.
The snorkeling experience was the best I’ve ever had. Super clear waters and tons of fish! The time to snorkel was a bit limited and many on the ship got seasick. Honestly, after I saw the first person vomit I felt a bit nauseous myself! Crew were very accommodating. Would recommend for experienced sailors since the boat is quite small and the ride it about an hour to the reef.
.The crew is friendly, they know the reef. They put you on a good site. Wonderful boat for the trip, clean and comfortable. Great for a sail out to the reef and back. All good.
Fantastic experience! My husband, 18 year old daughter, and I had the most amazing time! The water was extremely clear and the fish were everywhere!
Had a great time! Weather was less than cooperative and the crew still made it fun. Excellent, clear directions and safety instructions. A++
We had a wonderful snorkel experience with Floridays! The weather was good, boat crew knowledgeable and very friendly! We highly recommend this outfit!
Great captain and first mate! Nice sailboat and a fun trip home with cold beverages! Snorkeling was super fun too!
The captain and crew were excellent- they were very accommodating and friendly. The reason I rated the trip a 4 instead of a 5 is because the coral reef they took us to was dead and we saw very few fish.
We sailed on the Floridays, a sleek sailboat with a canopy for shade, which turned out was much needed and much appreciated. Captain Doug and First Mate Courtney welcomed us on the dock and settled required paperwork. We were then fitted with snorkeling gear. Once on board we covered safety protocols and best practices for snorkeling. Captain Doug was friendly and accessible, especially when it came to wind and seas, water visibility and what to expect during our afternoon sail, The trip out takes an hour to reach the Eastern Dry Rocks Reef, which I have never visited so I was excited to see something new. The sail out was pleasant as the seas were relatively calm. After mooring the boat, First Mate Courtney was super helpful with getting everyone in the water and headed to the reef. Eastern Dry Rocks Reef is a great spot to see a myriad of tropical fish 🐠 from yellowtails, blue gregories, angelfish and sargent majors to a host of parrotfish all doing their thing in and around the sea fans and corals. The reef is an easy swim from the sailboat with the gentle currents. We spent nearly an hour in the water exploring the reef. It was amazing and beautiful. The trip back was a relaxing sail with a refreshing glass or two of white wine. The Floridays offers a more intimate experience and being it’s less crowded, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon of sailing and snorkeling. My wife and I truly enjoyed our trip for all its qualities. We will come back again soon. Thank you Captain Doug and First Mate Courtney for making our trip a wonderful experience with great memories. Best Wishes, Kev & Stephanie Devine Homestead, Florida 🙏
We had an amazing time! My adult children got to snorkel and see a shark and other wildlife! We also saw dolphins playing and jumping on our way back! An awesome experience for us all!
The captain and first mate were friendly, courteous, informative. Prior to sailing, thorough safety education /instructions were provided. The captain selected an optimal area with consideration to weather/wind conditions. He was knowledgeable of region for optimizing viewing of the varied marine-life. The boat and snorkeling gear were clean, well maintained. We selected “Fish Monster,” due to advertised as having longer actual snorkeling time than the majority of other snorkeling trips we were considering. This is a well organized excursion. The captain, first mate and details previously mentioned provided our group an overall great experience. Highly recommend!!
We were the only ones on this trip, which turned out to be an awesome time. When we were informed of this we expected to be told it was canceled. Glad it wasn't, as being the only two on board we were instantaneously treated like VIP's! The snorkeling was the best I've ever done, and I've done dozens of trips all over the Caribbean, and Hawaii. The reef itself was magnificent with rallies, caves, and hiding holes. Saw more fish than any other location. 100's of fish a few juvenile baracudas, and even a small Caribbean reef shark. In summation this trip was well woth the time, and money, the crew 2nd to none!
This was my first time snorkeling and it did not disappoint! The crew was friendly, helpful and made for a great trip. We saw lots of cool fish and you really can’t beat snorkeling in a coral reef. This snorkeling trip definitely set the bar high!
Great Trip! Snorkeling was Great saw ton’ s of sea life. Captain was great at pointing out Sea Turtles and Dolphins on our way out to the reef. Great crew to be out on the water with!
Our sailors were a great atmosphere to hang around with. Both of them were so fun and professional with safety in mind. It was a little choppy but the sights underwater were great! The reef is right there and shallow. Not terribly deep. You're given a pool noodle to float with.
I can’t note the experience. Unfortunately due to the weather conditions, the activity has been cancelled. We were driving to Key West when we received the cancellation call. Waiting for the refund.
Snorkeling from this boat was great. Even though we had 2 foot waves, the Captain did an amazing job steering the boat so we wouldn't feel it much. The only thing I wish was better is that we would be able to spend more time in the water. The Captain and first mate were very friendly and we enjoyed our first ever Snorkeling excursion. We would love to do it again.
Friendly, professional crew and Captain who provided a great outing despite strong winds that made the water choppy and snorkeling visibility less than ideal. I appreciated the attention to safety and willingness to orient us to where we were and what we were seeing. Despite the wind, we snorkeled and swam and enjoyed a really nice afternoon on the water.
The crew were fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and very outgoing. The spot they chose for snorkeling was phenomenal! Well worth the money!
Great crew, great snorkeling.
This was our family's first time snorkeling. Captain Liz and Crew Member Leanne were so kind and patient with us, especially with our son who experienced sensory challenges. While I wish we had more time to explore the reef, we feel fortunate to have had a first snorkel experience with an empathetic and understanding crew and this experience has given us the knowledge and courage to try again!
The captain and crew were genuinely kind and upfront, which is the only reason this isn’t a one-star review. Before heading out, the captain clearly mentioned that snorkeling wouldn’t be the best due to conditions, but reassured us that we would still get to see dolphins and enjoy the sunset. They also changed locations to calmer water, explaining that while reefs wouldn’t be visible, we would still experience everything else. Unfortunately, none of that really happened. The water was extremely shallow and there was no marine life at all, not a single fish, big or small. The dolphins were only visible from a distance, no closer than what you’d see standing on shore. And the sunset ended up being completely covered by clouds. I understand that weather is unpredictable, and I do appreciate the effort to adjust plans for safety. But when the key parts of the experience are already known to be limited, and the alternatives also don’t deliver, it ends up feeling like the trip shouldn’t have gone out in the first place—or expectations should have been managed even more clearly. On top of that, cancellations have been an ongoing issue. We’ve experienced last-minute cancellations after paying for parking and checking in early, and I’m still waiting on a refund from a previous trip. Communication and follow-through on refunds have been extremely frustrating. Kind crew, but overall, the experience and reliability just aren’t there.
Liz and Courtney were fabulous. Very knowledgeable which made for an excellent adventure. Highly recommend! Next time we visit Key West we would absolutely book with them again. Thanks for making our vacation memorable!!!
Weather was pleasant and the sailboat ride was very nice. Captain and his crew (sorry, it's been a month and I have already forgotten their names) were top-notch in every way. However, snorkeling was disappointing in the amount of fish to see. Not sure if this is typical of the area and in our current state of global environmental collapse, but after more than an hour I saw maybe twenty fish. Other reviewers have different experiences, so there's that.
We all enjoyed the staff, boat ride and awesome coral reef!.
