Key West Sail And Snorkel With Hotel Transportation From Miami

This was one of my worst travel experiences in my life. I paid 476$ for my family and me to see and dive on the beautiful coral reef near Key West, boat trip and free refreshments plus transportation from the hotel in Miami Beach and back. During the trip, the bus broke down and we waited for a bus replacement over 2.5 hours on the highway. Due to the breakdown, we didn't get on the boat in time, in fact we didn't even see boat or coral reef or any free drinks. There was no compensation as there was in the case of other passengers who received it from other companies and enjoy beautiful beaches and reefs. Instead of the gray line company apologizing, trying to solve issue and replacing the failed trip, they started haggling over our money and discuss how much a bus transportation to Key West should cost. Honestly, if I just wanted to get to the island tour, I would rent a car for 100 USD, save money as well as time and have a much more comfortable journey. Fully not recommend to use Grey Line. Absolutely unprofessional. Tears on the face of my baby girl when she found there will not be any excursion and snorkling - not capable to describe and I dont wish that to anyone. I do recommend to use other provider or go to exclusive dinning instead as this trip was deffinetly not worthed.

A bus takes you from your hotel to Key West, however the bus is filled to the max (no empty seats) so if you are an odd # of people, you are certainly sitting with someone. It's a 4 hour drive each way. Part of our bus had seats facing backward which I had to sit in and I get car sick, so I had to sit sideways for 4 hours so I wouldn't get sick. I told the tour guide, but she didn't do anything. It was a very hot day and the AC did not work well at all on the lower tier of the bus and everyone was very hot. The seats are first come first serve, which is a pain. When you get to Key West, the bus drops you off and then the tour guide takes you to your area if you sign up for an excursion. If you do the marina trips- it is quite a longer walk there so wear comfortable shoes. The snorkeling boat I had- stated that one of their boats was broken so double the amount of people were on 1 boat. They ran out of room to sit and it was so crowded to snorkel people were on top of each other and a lot of fish swam away because of all the splashing/swimming. There were also some rude snorkelers that did not listen to the charter employee's instructions and affected seeing the fish as well since they were chasing them. Been on a few of Viator's excursions and all were 5 stars except this one. If you don't like long bus rides look into a different way to get to Key West from Miami and then book the excursions.

Team was nice. Time planning was good. Didn’t get to snorkel due to the weather so I advise to buy without snorkel and if weather is nice buy it on the bus.

I did the "Sail and Snorkel Adventure in Key West from Miami", 7am to nearly 10pm. Due to high wind, we were informed the day before that we could not snorkel. However, the drive to Key West went as planned. They really went above and beyond to make it right, offering alternatives and even at the last minute, found a company (Sebago) that took us to snorkeling! I've taken Gray Line in several cities and they have always given me quality tours. They are trusted!

The crew was very warm friendly and highly knowledgeable at sea. Drinks after the snorkel was non stop. I would highly recommend this to my family and friends.

Grat time Lilly wasj amazing, and was on top of everyone's needs. Will definitely book again and stay a little longer

Awful experience, I did not end up going as I was told I was going to be picked up at YVE hotel in Miami and she kept calling to switch the location. Very disappointing and unprofessional!

Swimming with the fishes felt like I am in an aquarium. The guide Maddy was just awesome! She helped me a lot.

We deeply regret the cancellation that was announced to us on the bus after departure, although we would have liked to have been able to cancel our trip as well, as it had become uninteresting...and the weather was known at the outset. In short, we were dissatisfied with the way the service was handled. What's more, the guide offered to buy us a trolley ticket for a tour of the island, whereas in reality he sold us a ticket for a simple tour of the city center.... a day wasted in every way!

Prompt upon pick up, tour guide Tamra passionate and accommodating. However bus was in poor condition water dripping inside the bus, water stains on controls/ button panel above head, cockroach infested

The sail team was excellent! They was friendly, funny, helpful and wonderful energy. The snorkeling in Key West was incredible. The water was beautiful, I felt at one with the sea , I saw different types of pretty fishes, and water was clear. I definitely will be doing the Key west snorkeling again.

The transportation was on-time and provided a lot of helpful information. The tour guide was very friendly and the driver was able to get us to Key West early! We were able to add parasailing to our day with the help of our tour guide. We had a wonderful experience with FURY during our snorkeling and parasailing excursions. Parasailing in Key West is a one-in-a-lifetime experience and I highly recommend it to anyone going on this trip!

The snorkel excursion was amazing however the lady on the bus was very rude passengers. The post is confusing as it reads 3 hour snorkel adventure and 6 hours to wander the keys. We were there a total of 5.5 hours. The lady on the bus told a passenger she had a nice voice but it was too loud and another passenger to take her kid to the back she did t want it near her. However the snorkel with fury was 10 plus stars

Our trip was amazing! Everything about it was amazing! I booked this trip for my boyfriend birthday and when I say he had a blastttttt I LOVED IT! From the Bus operators to the fury employees was so nice and caring! They made sure we had a good time I appreciate everyone of you for helping me make this a very special birthday for my boyfriend THANK YOU ! We will for sure be back soon 🤍

We had a great time with our snorkeling crew. The bus ride down was long and uncomfortable due to the air conditioning not working on over 1/2 the bus. They were trying to get it fixed but the trip home was just as uncomfortable. It was clearly older. The bathroom had not tissue so you could not use it. That was not great either. The snorkeling trip was an amazing add on!!! The crew was great. Super informative and lots of fun. Highly recommend this.

I signed a waiver for my 15 year old kids to snorkel and they weren’t able to snorkel. I want a refund!!!!

Everything went very smooth. Great guide. The only thing that we would have wished was different, is that we thought the breakfast-stop on the way out to Key West was unnecessary.

Saw a nurse shark. And many colorful fish. Boat ride wash choppy. Many got sea sick, but didn’t ruin the fun.

Loved the ocean loves to snorkel loved visiting our favorite B&B on our Key West time. OK this is why I hate filling out these brochures and reviews.

I got snorkelling tour. The only think I do not understand is forcing people for tipping. I tipped small amount (because I got nothing special, Even when I try to talk to captian, she ran away…) then a family saw the money I gave. And that rubbish family start talking about my tipping. In USA, in service sector, dont they have salary? It is not good tradiation at all. (I mean for all service sector including food) If I think I have a good service, I decide the amount.

Great experience!! From the bus all the way to key west and back. Lilo and the 2 chofer were great. As well snorkeling tour people have us a great experience.

it was really good, the snorkeling part was fun too but i wished i saw more fishes but other than that it was fun! would recommend

Bus ride from Miami to Key West. The air vents over individual seats don’t work. Bus was hot. Some seats were broken. No TP in the boat bathrooms.

It was wonderful was scared at first cause I don’t know how to swim but once I was in the water I was swimming like a fish it was wonderful down there will definitely do it again

We had a fabulous time! Everyone was very helpful and looked after all our needs. The water was great! I saw lots of colorful fish! Want to go again.

Loved Key West and the tour guide was great. Inclement weather canceled our snorkeling trip so only 3 stars.

Prior to booking this trip, I called and asked the company a few questions about snorkeling as it was my 1st time. On our way there, I received an alert that the water was choppy. When we checked in, I was adviced we will be out about 10/20 and there was no guarantee anyone would be able to help me. When it was time to board, the captain advised that due to choppy weather it's not safe for 1st timers or people that are not good swimmers and said they will refund us our money. Unfortunately I was disappointed because I asked specific questions to Greyline and the representative wasn't upfront. And I really was looking forward to snorkeling.

This review is for the bus transportation only. The snorkeling was canceled due to rain. So to start our bus had a exhaust leak pouring noxious fumes into the bus. Poor ventilation. Dirty. Plus infested with COCKROACHES. The tour guide "lilly" was more worried about lining her pockets than any concerns we had. She solicited everyone for a "special deal" on trolleys only $55 cash per person. Which you can find cheaper on here btw. But she made it seem like the only transportation around was trolly, it's not. Handing out brouchers and pushing the "deal" don't take this tour if you have asthma because of the fumes Or if you have food allergies because the only stop the bus makes down there is McDonald's. If you have asthma like my wife please bring your emergency inhaler, you will need it because of the fumes. Also pack foods with you it's a long ride. Key west is great. But chose a different tour to get there.

This was a poorly set up tour. The pick up options were only available by predetermined drop down options only. Where we were staying was not available in the drop down options, so we selected no pick up, deciding instead to meet at the departure point. The changed the pick up spot and did not inform us. It was somehow decided that we did not need transportation, even though we paid for a tour that included it???

Its a double edged sword on the bus ride yet the activities made it all worth it..i had a blast i so enjoyed myself me n my bestfriend had a blast on my birthday cien dolphins and all was a beautiful experience most definitely will b back next year.. oh did i mention the unlimited drinks...such a way to celebrate my birthday 💯💯💯😎😎

It was such an amazing tour. I really enjoyed my time; I even lost my phone and they waited for me to go back and look for it on the bus. Not only that, if you contact the tour company directly, they will give you one free tour if it's your birthday. Safe travels to you all.

Bus lost AC and we still had 1 more hour to drive. On the way bs n they got a new bus. Boat ride was fun and snorkeling requires a skillful swimmer

Do Not Take This Trip long bus trip to Keys also knowing weather was bad they still picked up customers and when we get Keys All Activites Where Cancelled by Operator I am sure they knew ahead off time and should have canceled trip to avoid the longest and worst bus ride ever Ruined my Last Day for Vacation

It was an overall good experience. Key West is a great place to visit. However since I did snorkeling it took up most of my day, so I had to go back to explore Key West another day. The transportation & boat was clean and comfortable. However, the toilet in the boat was in a bad condition. The snorkeling experience was good.

Not what I expected. Water was not clear and alcohol drinks were not available until AFTER snorkeling.

I would never use them a gain. They placed 55 humans lives in danger. Our bus broke down on our way to key west. We were stranded in the middle of nowhere for over four hours. I would never ever use them again

First time in Miami and saw this trip come up for things to do. Super glad we went with the snorkeling option. The boat was fun and we so many different fish

We had it cancelled literally 10 minutes from arriving in the keys I’ve been given no update regarding refund and Viator and gray line Miami have been very frustrating to deal with. Total incompetence in regards to customer service and professionalism.

Beware of scam by this company: Gray Line Miami. After booking a snorkling trip for 3 for $370.00, bad weather caused the snorkling portion of the trip to be cancelled, so they did a partial refund as expected. However, this is where the discrepancy comes in: they refunded only $160.00, meaning they are charging us over $200.00 for the ride from Miami Beach to Key West. To put it in perspective, this same company has another listing on Viator for the trip only without snorkling for only $49.00 per person. That means they're over-charging us for our ride by over $50.00. When reached out about this discrepancy, their rep gave us the run around to contact viator and have viator contacting their manager without any actual result. Also, even though they have the option for you to manually type in where you're staying, they don't actually pick you up there. They just use that to determine where you needed to go to get picked up at 6am. We had to catch an uber to another location when there's another pickup point 2 blocks from our rental which their rep didn't tell us about (we found our on our way back to Miami Beach). Driver and host were awesome, nothing against them, but I'd rather spend my money elsewhere instead of this agency. Very shady and not being upfront. Overall, I am very disappointed in the trip as our entire purpose of going to key west was to snorkel. Not only was it cancelled due to unexpected weather, we ran into issue with the refund amount, making it a waste of a trip. Shop elsewhere guys, make sure your tour is not operated by Gray Line Miami. Avoid them at all cost if you don't want to run into the same issue as us. I should have listened to the bad reviews before booking. Lessons learned.

The driver and tour guide were great, most everyone wore masks and we felt safe, but the bus smelled like the toilet in the back. It’s too long of a drive from Miami to have to smell that there and back. Also, this is a big tour group on the bus and the snorkel trip (40-45 people), so if you like something more personal, I would choose a different tour.

The tour guide we had was very nice! It is a 3-4 hr drive there and back, but they make sure we are at key west for the full 6 hrs.They stop at a place for breakfast and a bathroom break on the way there. The tour guide also gives out several facts on our way to Key West about the places we pass on the way there. The drive was very peaceful! At key west- My friends and I did the snorkeling adventure where we were on the boat for 3 hrs of which one is snorkeling. On the way there, we saw a lot of dolphins and the captain stopped the boat for a bit so we could enjoy the view! The snorkeling itself was fine- we saw a couple of fishes. On the way back- there is an open bar and they play some music! Besides that- we had just enough time to enjoy some dinner and get some key lime pie! It's a great way to get a hint of what key west is like!

The snorkeling activity was cancelled by boat operator. I'm not complaining about cancelation, as it's beyond their control but I did not get a refund for that activity. I don't need a refund for the bus ride portion of the charge.

That Captain belongs on Netflix with his own show!!!! Lol 😂 Omg he was truly amazing & funny!! Free drinks , sailing , snorkeling , it was truly amazing.

Bus is very old and we took like 9 hours from key west to Miami It was a bad very experience I do not recommend it for any one

Everything was great. The only issue was it felt rushed doing the snorkeling experience since we stopped for breakfast on the way down. It would have been better to warn people to eat before pick up or bring food. That way people have more time in key west to shop and choose a restaurant and experience the town. We arrived and had to go right to the snorkeling spot and when we got back we had an hour and a half roughly to try to eat and see the city which was not much. If breakfast was not stopped for that would have given more time to see key west. We had to uber to the two spots, the southernmost point and back to the bus station, or we would have missed both. The snorkeling was amazing however and our tour guide was awesome!!!

The expectation was not as expected, a long time under the sun, the boat does not have enough shade for the clients, they took us down to dive in an area where there were no fish and the environment was not fun
