Key West Mini Catamaran Eco Tour

It was an awesome excursion, super fun and relaxing, cruising around the island. Jojo our guide was super knowledgeable, and it was just us and him. No groups of 20 here. Would highly recommend and will probably do it again the next time we are in Key West.

Our guide Captain Jo Jo was amazing he explained so many historical facts and was very attentive. And driving the catamaran was so easy. I will definitely refer this event to all my friends. Just being out there on the water was so relaxing.

Never actually got to experience this due to poor weather. However, were kept well informed and in plenty of time to make alternate arrangements.

If you are looking for an unforgettable experience on the water, this is it. The views were breathtaking, the weather was perfect, and the entire atmosphere on the boat was so relaxing and fun. A huge shoutout to our guide, John, who was simply excellent! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the local waters and wildlife, super friendly, and made sure everyone on board felt safe and well taken care of. Can't recommend this tour—and John—enough. We will definitely be booking again next time we're in Key West!

Went out on mini catamaran-led by Capt JoJo and had a great time! This activity is SUPER fun! Capt was very knowledgeable about the area and history. I trailed behind in the mangroves and then we were able to go a bit faster which was awesome. These boats are easy to learn and tons of fun. Highly recommend. Thanks Capt!😁

Excellent guide and fun little boats. Didn’t see much wildlife but a fun jaunt around a WW2 sub base.

Our guide was Jo Jo and he was great. We had a great time would definitely recommend doing it. We got to see a manatee.

We did the craig cat tour. Great time. The guide John was a blast. You can sea doo anywhere you can't do a craig cat everywhere.

We, my 14 year old daughter and I, had a great time. There wasn't a lot of marine life to be be seen on our trip, but there were so many other sites. It was my daughter's first time operating a water craft. The guide was great and took care to make certain all the new drivers new what they were doing. Just an overall fun experience for a father to enjoy. My daughter had a blast.

It was a blast!! the boats are so cute and I loved that they had a little canopy to protect you from the sun. They go faster than expected, but easier to control and way more fun than a jet ski! Itinerary mentioned that we would stop at a sandbar and we did not do that so if that’s something you’re looking forward to this might not be for you, but I’ll say this was the best thing I did on our trip… learned a lot of history about the islands (Jon was AMAZING) and got a lot of drive time! You will get wet so I would make sure you wear your swimsuit and bring water!

Our guide Daniel was an amazing tour guide that made sure we got to enjoy exploring the Key West area while keeping a watchful eye so that we never felt lost. It was our first time on a mini catamaran and it was so fun. We learned so much about all the places we passed through. We were impressed with how much interesting trivia Daniel knew. We would absolutely recommend this experience.

We were on a last hurrah family vacation before our oldest goes off to college and wanted to stack our days full of adventures...and this one paid off! Our teenaged sons shared one catamaran, where they both had a chance to drive, while my husband and I had another. We were with two other couples on our trip. While we couldn't really talk amongst ourselves, we did have to keep a distance, we could see each other and point out cool things we were seeing, we saw a school of dolphins jumping nothing other than that for wildlife. Didn't get to do the sandbar due to all the sargassum in the water, but I would go back once it's cleared up. It was also just nice to enjoy the peace and quite of a 'boat' ride on the water. Our guide John was funny, helpful and full of Key West knowledge. Definitely worth the money!

Had a blast!! Captain JoJo was great. Very friendly, intelligent and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for a change of pace from the wave runner tour, give the Craigcat catamaran a try, you’ll love it!!! Will definitely be back.

Jojo was a great guide! Seaweed caused some problems with the boats and didn’t allow us to go to the sandbar, but overall was a fun time.

We booked 3 Mini-Catamarans while visiting Key West on the Margaritaville at Sea, Islander. We took a Lyft from the ship to the excursion, and back to the ship. It was a very fun way to see a different part of Key West, and stay cool in the heat. The tour felt safe, and the tour guide provided good information about the area.

My wife and I were booked on a tour with Capt. JoJo. He contacted us just prior to the tour to let us know that conditions were poor. Unfortunately we could not reschedule. I very much appreciated the update from him as he could just as easily said nothing and the trip would not have been enjoyable. Honesty from a business man is why people return for your business. Of we come back again I would definitely rebook with him.

We had an amazing time on the Mini Catamaran Eco Tour! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and it was such a fun way to experience the waters and mangroves around Key West. Wow, what a cool way to cruise on the ocean and tributaries. The “cat-boat” was fun to drive, had a little pep for a small craft, and Captain JoJo was awesome. We didn’t see any marine life cruising the mangroves, but the 2 hour tour was amazing and a MUST DO!

1st, note if in a cruise ship, you'll need to Uber or find other means to get to stock island for the tour, it's worth every cent, we didn't inquire at first had a 9am booking that the Company was able to change to 11:45. Our 2hr tour turned into almost 3hrs, Captain JoJo, a wonderful instructor and guide, made everyone in our 4ppl party feel comfortable, boats are a blast. Sun was intense, do not forget the SPF. We definitely recommend.

We had an amazing experience on the mini catamarans. The guide was awesome and ensured we had a great time. Even learned a bit of history which was really cool. Anyone can drive these as it is super easy to learn. I highly recommend this excursion.

John was an amazing guide! Incredibly smart, knowledgeable and easy to learn from. Luckily we booked at 9am and were the only boat riders for the scheduled tour so we got to do and see so much (island, sandbar, open water, channels, etc)!! I highly recommend this experience for leisure boating with a little adventure! The sights were beautiful and something you cant get from on shore. Details: 35 year old couple celebrating 10 year anniversary and looking for a fun/different activity.

Capt JoJo was great and we enjoyed crushing the ocean and mangroves. Cat Boats were a blast to drive!

Fun time! Prepare to get a bit wet. Guide was knowledgeable with water crafts and the area. He was also very attentive to safety of all participants.

Very fun, easy to operate and interesting tour. Tour will take you through the mangroves to the Navel base and around some of the celebrity homes along the coast.

A fun 2 hour boat trip out on the water.

For those who do not like the jet ski this is a great alternative. Comfortable stable platform. The tour guide was great and explained everything we needed to know to have a safe excellent experience.

Fun way to see the island from the water.

Not what we expected, but lots of fun. Based on the description, we thought we would be doing leisurely boating through shady mangrove channels. This tour had time to experience/play on the boats in the open sea and also in smaller inlets with mangroves. So even though it wasn't what we expected, we had just a ton of fun with the mini-catamarans. It was a 30 or 40 hp engine, so plenty of power to get it going. The guide was great with instructions on operations and boating safey and good knowledge of the eco area. I would recommend sunscreen!!!

The guide was nice and gave informed instructions on the proper way to drive the boats. We were guided to a secluded place surrounded by mangroves in which we were set free to explore and have fun with the boats. Weather permitted us to go out into the ocean as it was a calm day. The scenery was spectacular with the light blue on dark blue water. It did make me wish we could stop for a quick swim though. Overall a great adventure.

Captain Jo Jo better do some research. His submarine fingers are an abandoned military housing project! The submarine base was located in Key West. Turtles surface for a breath of air and a quick look around.

This was not what I expected! I thought we would see wildlife in mangrove swamps….alas, just 2 birds. It was mainly traveling in the open water. The boats were fun though.

Captain JoJo was an amazing guide. We had fun seeing the boats and harbors of Key Weat. He was patient and attentive to our experience.

So much fun! Easy to control and a laid back way to explore the waters of Key West!! We saw green sea turtles, the crystal clear waters and Captain JoJo made it even more fun. He gave history of the island and the tour! We have done the jet ski tour before and enjoyed this way more!!!

If you’re into trying new things, this is definitely different. It was so much fun!!! Our guide was excellent and informed us on a lot of different topics about Key West. The catamarans aren’t difficult to drive, and we had two different areas where we were allowed to roam a bit on our own. 10/10

We had a really great time on the CraigCat. Captain JoJo provided instructions on how to operate the mini catamaran and off we went on a 2 hr drive. It wasn’t quite what I expected since we didn’t stop at 4 different areas and get some typical tour guide details. Rode past mangrove area but not in them like the kayaks. Saw a sea turtle. You don’t get off the boat and into the water. There is limited storage for your stuff so no backpacks or tote bags!. The Bimini cover was a nice bonus to keep us partially out of the sun.

This was absolutely an amazing experience. We went on "off timing" so we were the only ones on the tour. John was our guide and I can't say enough good things about him. He was friendly, professional, patient and just overall very wonderful. I highly recommend this activity to anyone who is down in Key West!

Jojo was a great guide! He took time to take pictures of each couple on boats and at pretty stops. He also sent us a 3D video of our trip and it was so neat. The tour was beautiful. Very relaxing & fun. Highly recommend booking this!! Will do it again every year!

Fun 2 hour tour of Keys area! Boat was fun and guide informative. You can go off on your own several times as well

We had a great tour out into the keys with our tour guide, Capt Jo Jo. He was very informative on the area, seas, natural sea life etc. it was very fun. I highly recommend.

We had an awesome tour ,it took the full hours scheduled and we saw more than we expected. Up close and personal experience!
