Heather was very knowledgeable, friendly and informed! We had a great time seeing all the marine wildlife. Definitely recommend this tour.

Rachel was an amazing guide. I had never kayaked before in my life and I survived this tour! She tailored our route to ensure we had the best time. We saw a few sharks and birds and this handsome iguana dude. Loved it!
We had a great time on this two hour tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. We saw a variety of wildlife including a manatee and her baby calf.
This is a fantastic kayak tour through the Florida Mangroves. Heather was the best tour guide; educating us as we went.
we did three different tours while visiting key west and this by far was the best tour. A nice gentle, relaxing kayak ride where we saw six manatees, including a baby. The guide was informative, friendly, easy-going, and even took pictures from the paddleboard and sent them to us. The mangrove tunnels were fun, easy to navigate and adventurous. Also got to view some of the canals where people live. Next-door was a great eatery and bar. We could watch the fish and boats come and go a delightful experience!!
Had such a wonderful time kayaking through the mangroves. We were very lucky to spot some young manatees. Tall Rachel ( more than one working there) was great. She is very knowledgeable about the ecosystem and worked hard to include everyone in the group. This is my first time kayaking and was able to keep up everyone else. They offer both double and single kayaks. We were able to see a lot within the 2 hours. Truly a great value compared to other operators! Thanks Lazy Dog for a wonderful adventure.
This was wonderful! We saw a family of six manatees (a baby included) right as we started. This was our second time and we would go again.
Tall Rachel gave us a heightened awareness of the importance of these short mangrove forests to the overall ecoystemin this area. It was great fun to maneuver through live mangrove tunnels and see all sorts of marine creatures
It is an eco tour, so you learn a lot about the environment you’re kayaking through as well as the animals you see. The paddling is not strenuous except a couple of short bursts to cross the channel. You feel very safe the entire time.
We had an incredible time on our eco kayak tour with Tall Rachel. The group was a perfect size and we learned so much! You can tell that Rachel is extremely passionate about the animals and the trees. Everything she said was literally said with a smile. We would absolutely go again. Thanks Tall Rachel for a super fun & knowledgeable adventure! For new guests- hats & sunglasses are a must.
Heather was our tour guide and she was the best very friendly and knowledgeable about the ecosystem. Made the excursion feel very calm and friendly.
Had a fantastic time on the Mangrove Kayak Tour. Single or Double kayaks were available. Wife and I went in a double and it was easy even for a beginner with no experience. Length was a bit over an hour. Guide was amazing and showed us all the plants and animals along the way. Finished up by seeing manatees on the way back. Amazing time and cannot recommend this highly enough. Do not miss!
The pace was very slow and the guide kept handling the Sealife, and encouraging the tour group to do so as well. Then at the end it was a hard sell for tips.
My husband and I came down to celebrate our birthdays and did the mangrove kayak tour. Heather was our tour guide and she was phenomenal! Very knowledgeable and made the experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something active to do.
Tall Racheal was awesome guide. She made it fun and was so knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour. Loved this tour
Little Rachel are tour guide was awesome. Just a great experience.
My guide Rachel was dynamic, effervescent and very knowledgeable. I think her standing position on her paddleboard allowed her to see things that I had a hard time viewing but immersing myself in the mangroves through the channels was an awesome experience. Her presentation of the history of Key West was given in a very fun manner and Rachel made sure to engage everyone in the group. Our tour ended two minutes too late as we were hit with driving rain. Or could it be that we ended at exactly the right time to experience the true Key West experience. It was money well spent and definitely something I would do again for a relaxing experience.
We had a beautiful kayak tour of the mangroves with Tall Rachel today. She shared her knowledge and respect for this beautiful area and habitat. She had a great eye and spotted a manatee, ray, cormorants and heron and green sea turtle for us. It was a perfect two hour trip!
We had a wonderful time on this excursion! We learned so many fun facts about the local mangroves, sea grass, and the wildlife that inhabit them. The mangroves are beautiful and certainly a unique ecosystem to explore. Nothing else like this in the US! Our guide, Cece, was knowledgeable and experienced, and made our time on the water fun. The staff on site were all very friendly and helpful. One thing to make sure of: If you’re booking through any travel service, not directly through the company’s website, make sure you receive a confirmation email with the excursion details directly from the company itself. For whatever reason, that did not get sent to us ahead of time. This led us to be technically half an hour late to our excursion, because there were no details stating an earlier arrival time except in that email alone. I received a call as we were on our way asking where we were. The business personnel acted confused and frustrated as to why we were arriving late, but realized in the end that the email with the details had not reached me (inadvertently). Once they realized that, the tone changed and they commented that this happens fairly often. Something to do with the booking programs not talking to each other. To the business owner: I would recommend updating your listings on travel excursion booking sites to state the earlier arrival time by a half hour. There’s no harm in doing so, and it would surely save a lot of people the trouble if this issue persists.
Leesa and I loved the early 2-hour Lazy Dog kayak tour! Racheal G. was extremely knowledgeable, and her enthusiasm for the mangroves and ecosystem made the experience even better. We saw three manatees, nurse sharks, iguanas, and even got an up-close look at a starfish she netted for us. She also pointed out the home where Jimmy Buffett raised his daughter and took great photos and videos to share afterward. Highly recommend this outing while in beautiful Key West!
Great experience, exceptional guide Tall Rachel. Do it again, in a heart beat.
The trip went thru the mangroves and across the channel. The guide "short Melissa" did an outstanding job. Was extremely knowledgeable, interactive, and humorous. Despite the wildlife not cooperating, she did everything she could to highlight the natural surroundings of the keys. Would definitely do again.
Rachel is knowledgeable and very engaging! Had a great time learning about the mangrove inhabits and the ecology of the Keys!
Heather was wonderful! So knowledgeable about the area and eco system. She was also sure to include everyone and took time to make all of us feel included. She answered all our questions with enthusiasm! It was a beautiful trip.
Did this kayak tour with my son-in-law and enjoyed it very much. I am not a practiced kayaker by any means, but it was an easy, interesting trip with lots of plant and animal life. Highly recommended.
Super fun experience, really interactive and knowledgable guide, highly recommend.
We had a lovely mangrove tour and enjoyed the knowledge that our guide shared with us. It was a very hot day but we were well shaded under the canopy of the mangroves. Worth the visit!
Nice tour through amazing mangroves. Our guide was great! All skill levels can do it! Highly recommend. Nice to get away from downtown
Fun experience. Rachel is a great guide! Very knowledgeable and exciting.
Tall Rachel was amazing! We had such a great time!!!! Beautiful tour through the mangroves with frequent stops for learning. 10 out of 10!
We had the best time learning about the red mangroves and the ecosystem they provide. Our guide Rachel (tall) was so knowledgeable and had so many interesting facts to share! She was able to point out many different species that otherwise I would have missed. It was such an enjoyable tour!
Kayak for 2 are longer than single kayak and may be more difficult to maneuver through mangrove tunnels
What a great adventure! It was so informative, and the scenery was amazing. Rachael was an outstanding guide, and fit so much fun and info into the two hours possible. We will definitely be back next trip!
Heather was great. Super informative and patient. Learned a lot about the ecosystem. Staff super helpful with Kayaks and the tour went with good pacing.
Wow, kayaking through those mangroves was just amazing! It was so cool seeing all the unique wildlife and soaking in the beautiful water. Our guide was awesome, seriously showing us everything and explaining it all so well!
Heather was a lot of fun and helpful. We got to see jellyfish, sea cucumbers, and manatees! She also told us lots of interesting things about the mangrove trees.
Excellent tour. Our guide Heather was great. It was an educational, interesting and beautiful tour. We are novice kayakers and it was fine. Our ages ran from 17 to 58.
Thank you (tall) Rachel for the incredible tour! It was super engaging and it was great to feel connected to the local eco system! Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about the local wildlife.
Great Experience Great Employees Wonderful Company to do an Excursion With CC our tour guide was wonderful
This is a must do if your in key west. This is one of the best trips me and the wife took. Brett the gudie was awesome. He kept the energy the whole time and even would explain things. We saw manatees on this trip along with being able to hold a jellyfish. This is a must do trip
The trip was as excellent - made more so by the guide ‘Rachel’ (short one). From arrival to departure the entire team made you feel welcome and safe. You don’t go too far out but you see lots. We had the opportunity to see a few Manatee which was incredible. The kayaking is not difficult but needs a little bit of effort depending on the tide. You can also double up if needed. A fantastic experience and one I would recommend.
We loved this excursion! Rachel G was an excellent guide and very educated on the mangrove eco system. We were hesitant since it wasn’t an excursion offered through the cruise ship, but turned out fine. We Ubered to Lazy Dog from the port for $20 for 4 people and then again to our lunch spot. Great experience.
Heather was an excellent guide! She gave great instructions, and very knowledgeable! Take it from someone who never kayaked before, it was an awesome, “must do” experience!
Our mangrove tour was amazing! Rachel (tall) was super friendly and was so knowledgeable about the ecosystem and wildlife! I would recommend being in a double kayak vs a single as by the end it is nice to have 2 people paddling. We will definitely come back if we are ever back in Key West!
Tall Rachel was awesome guide we had so much fun
Trip was great. Excellent guide services. Would highly recommend.
Heather our guide did a wonderful job of guiding us around the mangroves. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable.
Highly recommend if you love nature and want to see marine life up close like manatees, nurse sharks, jelly fish and cool birds like osprey. Heather our guide was just pure sunshine, motivation and positivity. Good vibes!
This is a GREAT tour! It was such a beautiful way to see the mangroves, paddling silently along through mangrove tunnels with no one else around. Rachel was very very knowledgeable and she had so much interesting and science-based information to give us about the local mangrove ecosystem and wildlife. LOVED it!! We would’ve been happy with an even longer tour. Highly recommend.
Our kayak eco tour was AMAZING. It rained, but the incredible group we were with continued on. My husband and I had a blast, and Brett was a stellar guide! He was definitely up for the adventure, and he holds immense knowledge of the area and the wildlife. He also made us feel safe and comfortable through the rainy weather. Highly recommend this tour, for anyone visiting Key West!
