This full-day sailing trip is the perfect way to explore the natural side of Key West—away from crowds and off the beaten path. You’ll board a historic schooner and sail into the Key West National Wildlife Refuge, a protected area only accessible by boat, known for clear water, mangrove islands, and marine life! You’ll snorkel in the wildlife refuge, kayak around mangrove islands, and relax on deck between activities. When conditions allow, we'll also stop at a shallow sandbar. All gear is provided, including sanitized snorkel equipment, flotation devices, and kayaks. The crew shares stories about Key West’s history and gives fun, informative eco talks throughout the day. No experience is needed—they guide and support all skill levels! Group size is limited to 20 guests for a more personal, spacious experience. This trip is family-friendly and great for all ages. Lunch is fresh and locally prepared, with salads from Fausto’s, sandwiches, fruit, chips and salsa, and hummus. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available on request. Restroom facilities are onboard. After the water activities, enjoy craft beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks during the sail back to Key West!

We had a great time. Small group - just 8 of us, when it could have been 20. Anna and Ed were great crew - very personable and professional. The high winds made things a little hard for snorkeling, but the drinks and food were good, the sun was shining and we weren't working! Thanks, Danger Charters!

Incredible!! The sailing was awesome! The kayaking to the mangroves was so much fun and seeing all the little fish and a conch shell was amazing. The snorkeling was so fun. The water is so clear and the sponge garden was so pretty! Our guide showed us a stingray that was swimming by and several s.aller fish.

Anna, Trevor, and James did an excellent job taking care of us from start to finish. Picked the prime spots for us based on weather and water conditions and we saw so much during our day with them! Brilliant day with captain. Brad and 1st mate Kylie. They looked after us from start to finish. Lunch and snacks were delicious! Loved the kayak through the mangroves Kylie held a jellyfish and we saw turtles. Would highly recommend this trip, we both loved our day out

This is a fun excursion. Snorkeling, floating in the water at a sandbar and kayaking around a mangrove island are the things we did. We saw a lot of fish while snorkeling. Now the bad part, the provided lunch is not very good. It was deli meats and cheese along with sorta stale bread. My big complaint is no way to sanitize your hands before handling the utensils, so everyone just grabbed stuff with dirty hands. Maybe a hand sanitizer dispenser would be nice. Also, terrible selection of beer on board.

A wonderful trip! Brian and Carly were excellent guides and hosts. The boat is big and comfortable. I had a great time snorkeling in the clear water, and saw a spotted eagle ray, some large permit, and lots of tropical fish. We anchored by a sandbar and, while standing chest deep in crystal-clear water, three dolphins swam by -- a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Finally, kayaking by the mangroves was really interesting; thank you Carly for all the fascinating information. Can't wait to do it again next trip.
Our crew today was Carley, Conan, and captain Jack. I know I did not spell their name correctly, but they made sure we were taken care of the entire trip. The drinks were continually offered and the lunch was really good for a day on the water. If you chose this excursion I highly suggest you call the office and ask for their tour, you won’t regret it. I booked this excursion as a birthday present for my wife. We both had a wonderful time with Captain Anna and crew members Morgan and Carly. They were all very attentive and went above and beyond in making sure all aboard had a fantastic time. After our first stop snorkeling, there was still a little time available before lunch and kayaking that Captain Anna stopped at a nearby sandbar so that we could enjoy being in the water a little longer. It was a very pleasant addition that we were not expecting to the day. Lunch and drinks were then served while we sailed to the next destination for kayaking. The kayaking part of the day through the water and around the mangrove island was very nice and informative as our group leader, Carly, explained to us about the ecosystem there. Both my wife and I had a memorable day on the water with excellent and fun shipmates, captain and crew!!
Captain Tony and Morgan were amazing!!!! They were very hospitable from the get go. The food was fantastic, we learned so much about Key West, and had an absolute blast!! I’ve been on many excursions, but this experience was very intimate and super friendly!!! An absolute must do!!!!

This was a great trip. The captain, Joseph, was wonderful and the two girls were very friendly and knowledgeable. We saw sea turtles, a nurse shark and a variety of birds while kayaking. Would highly recommend!
We had a great time on our trip. Capt Brad, Anthony and Morgan were an amazing group. They made the day fun and interesting. Anthony told the story of Key West. It was entertaining and educational! We saw quite a few sea turtles while kayaking and so many fish while snorkeling. If you're thinking about doing this, DO IT! You won't be disappointed!

Best experience in Key West! We did several excursions and tours with other guide services during our recent stay in Key West and this one was far superior. Smaller group and laid back atmosphere made for a wonderful and memorable day. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They acted like they loved their job and it shows to their customers. You will not be disappointed!

We went out on a full day with Captain Brian and Conner, they were amazing! So knowledgeable from their kayak tour to pointing out all the animals and coral while we snorkeled. Snacks were on point, n/a drinks were never empty and they provided adult beverages for those who wanted them after snorkeling. 10/10 would recommend

Book the sandbar trip today!! We went out and had such an amazing time! The crew were fantastic, knowledgable, and so friendly. The trip itself was 10/10 we went out to a beautiful remote sandbar and snorkeled in the clear shallow waters which was a perfect place for some of our group who were not confident snorkelers. The crew swam with us and found us lots of starfish, sand dollars, live conchs and sea slugs. When we were finished snorkeling we could simply give our gear to the crew and start truly relaxing. They had floats for us and were constantly checking if we needed anything. Absolutely stunning afternoon I cant recommend it enough!!!!

It was a small personalized experience. Captain Mary and first mate Frankie did everything possible to make the trip one to remember. Great food, drink, and experience. Frankie even gave us a great lesson on the Keys and the history. We snorkeled and took kayaks around and through the mangroves.
Excellent experience! We saw SO much cool stuff! Swam with a loggerhead, Huge family of Rays, saw dolphins and so much more. The captain and deck hand were great! Was an intimate trip with just 9 passengers!
