Key West Dolphin Watch And Sunset Sail On Catamaran

Loved our outing! So peaceful, great crew, nice snacks, beautiful sunseet, and yes we saw dolphins.

This was our second time booking with Hinwst Eco on our 2nd trip to Key West and again the experience did not disappoint. If you go to Key West you must book a trip with them. We had an amazing time. First the snorkeling is wonderful and the captain and first mate took excellent care of us. Made sure we were safe and had a pointed out fish and beat parts to look. They even brought fruit out on the sand bar. The dolphins swimming besides us on the way back was surreal. Take any of honest eco trips. You will have a wonderful time!

Highly recommend. I went with my family, three children ages 2-11. We all snorkeled and spotted dolphins and even a shark. The crew were friendly and knowledgeable. The snacks were fresh and delicious. Lots of equipment. We had fun!

It was a fantastic trip! Captains Dan and Charlie were the best. We saw lots of dolphins, learned a lot of animal facts and saw a beautiful sunset. We would go again in a heart beat.

This experience did not disappoint. Captain Alexa and First Mate Jackie were very accommodating. We were able to see lots of dolphins and the sunset was gorgeous. Everyone enjoyed it!

So glad I booked our Dolphin and Sunset Cruise with Honest Eco. This is not a party boat outfit - it is a laid back yet so fun experience. Our Captain Dan and guide Jackie were awesome! It was obvious from the minute we stepped foot on the comfortable spacious catamaran that safety, our comfort, and providing us with a special experience were important to them. We were a small group of only 10 of us which allowed for a personalized experience. The focus of the sailing was the wildlife followed by a gorgeous sunset. This is a company that cares about and loves these beautiful creatures as evidenced by the way Jackie and Dan talked about them. More than just seeing the dolphins (and we saw plenty), sailing with Dan and Jackie was like sailing with friends. Everything was just perfect!

We really enjoyed this tour , but we only saw a few dolphins from quite a distance. This was not at all the fault of Honest Eco, it was a very rough day on the water. We also did not have much of a sunset due to clouds, but there again, not something that could have been helped. We did however, really enjoy cruising along on the catamaran and the fresh veggies with hummus was amazing, along with some delicious fresh fruit later on. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the birds we encountered and educated us about dolphins. We learned some very interesting things. We saw some neat sites and beautiful scenery. My daughter was barefoot and cut her heel on the boat. The tour guides were quick reacting with a first aid kit and even offered to return us to shore. We declined and finished the tour. We were very happy that they cared so much for our daughter’s well being. I wish our trip could have been longer so we could have maybe changed our date to a less windy/cloudy day. But overall, it was a very wonderful experience and we are so happy we chose this tour with these great, knowledgable people.

I had the absolute BEST experience with Honest Eco in Key West! Captain Alexa and her mate Jackie were beyond amazing. They were so knowledgeable about the dolphins and the entire ecosystem. You can truly tell they care about what they do and about protecting the environment. Alexa’s captain skills were top-notch. I felt completely safe and well taken care of the entire time. Jackie was just as incredible. She was friendly, informative, and made the experience even more fun. The snacks were fresh and delicious (such a nice touch!), and the entire trip exceeded my expectations. It was the perfect mix of education, adventure, and relaxation. And Dolphins! I will 100% be back and highly recommend booking with them if you're in Key West!

Victor and Haden were very friendly and showed us the beauty of the local waters. Amazing sunset and we did see a couple sharks and a dolphin.

Amazing time on this dolphin watch & sunset sail!! Captain Libby & Naturalist, Charlie were an incredible team…so fun and knowledgable about the area and local species! They served delicious organic veggies, hummus & fruit, plus had filtered water available. We had a lovely time and saw many dolphins, including a mama & baby. We also watched dolphins jump as a cruise was leaving port. SO very special!! Loved having a smaller, intimate group, not like some of the large, loud boats we saw. I highly recommend booking with Honest Eco!!

This cruise was delightful and informative on a beautiful late afternoon—the captain and crew made sure all our needs were met and let us know what to expect. We enjoyed fresh fruit and veggies while Haddon (our resident scientist) explained what the dolphins were up to and what makes them unique to this area. Gorgeous sunset with a relaxed vibe.

It was an amazing 3 hours on board with Alexa and Jackie! They were so knowledgeable about the waterways and especially the dolphins! I live in Delaware and I go out on tours a few times a year to see dolphins and never half of what I learned today! Courteous, funny and accommodating! 2 very smart women! I highly recommend this sunset tour! And of course we had a perfect cloudless sunset!

It was a wonderful experience. There were only 9 people on the cruise so it was quite cozy. The captain Alexa took us directly to an area where dolphins were plaint and jumping out of the eaters while Heather told us all about them. Heather also cut up fresh fruit and vegetables for us to enjoy as we next raised sails and went to a beautiful spot to enjoy an incredible sunset. Very nice trip!

Unfortunately our experience was not great. The captains really didn’t seem very knowledgeable and didn’t share very much interesting information about, nor did we see, much interesting ocean life. I found them to be somewhat unprofessional and our whole group was somewhat bored and ready to go back after about 30 minutes.

Wanted to have a trip out and to see the sunset away from the crowds by the harbour, we also had an added benefit of seeing some wildlife. We turned up early, no need to turn up before 15 minutes before departure so wandered around the harbour which has some nice shops and bars. The boat departed on time with 8 of us on board. I can’t recall the name of the skipper but his assistant was Heather. (We were on the Weds 12 Nov trip). We did see several dolphins on the trip, it was good that they didn’t chase or harass them so we could get a better view. The skipper took us sailing for a while and throughout the trip we had facts around the animals and key west including the two Air BNB floating rooms out at sea. Food (nice fruit) and water was provided and you could use the coolers to put your own drinks in if you wished. It ended coming back in along the harbour side past everyone looking at the sunset which was quite funny. Well worth the cost paid, excellent staff. Thank you

Great vibe if you don’t want a booze cruise but like a nice sail! Started with tons of dolphin watching with good info about them. Then put up the sails, enjoyed some fresh fruit and veggies they cut up for us, and cruised with light music till sunset. Just water to drink, but you can BYOB and they had ice for that. Seems like it could be nice to drink exactly what you want and cheaper to bring your own. Got to lie out on the netting at the front of the catamaran and they also had good seating for our 80+ year old parents. Definitely enjoyed it and would recommend.

Wonderful experience on the waters of Key West viewing dolphins and taking in the sunset. Captain Andrew and Haddon were great hosts and guides. Both took time to chat personally and enhanced the trip with their humor and knowledge. Worthy of a repeat visit.

My husband and I had an extremely amazing day with Patrick and Sam who were our tour guides! They gave us a tremendous amount of information on the local area and the dolphins and we actually saw multiple parts of dolphins and their offspring! The snorkeling adventure was absolutely amazing and we swam with schools of colorful fish and an abundance of bright coral! I absolutely love the positive energy in the dynamic personalities of both hosts! I would highly recommend this to everyone, young and old!!🐬🐬🐬🐬

The boat was very clean, left on time. We saw dolphins and an amazing sunset. Hadon and Andrew were very knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humour. The food was delicious. Very nice and relaxing tour. Nice to see a company cares about the environment and passing on the knowledge about the wildlife, rather than making a fast buck of the ‘loud party boat sense’. Highly recommend them and give the lads a pay rise, they are a credit to the company.

Andrew/Hadden were excellent host. Fun and informative about the dolphins. The fresh veggies and fruits were delicious. We had a wonderful sunset and were able to take lots of pictures. Would highly recommend the dolphin/sunset cruise.

Cancelled on us about 1.5 before we were due to set sail. Said they sent text much earlier, but was marked at 3:45 for a 5:00. Super disappointing. We completely rearranged day to enjoy the trip which we booked earlier that day. Why did they not tell us then? It's probably a nice trip if they don't cancel on you.

This was a an amazing trip. Captain Wade and marine biologist Brian took pride in every detail down to cutting and displaying the fruit plate just so. Wade found us a ton of dolphin pods and Brian shared his knowledge about resident dolphins and transient dolphins. Then we were lucky enough to have a calm day to make it out to the reef. Brian dove with us and took us to all of the good spots. Then he gave us all of the videos off his go pro. Amazing deal. Do yourself a favor and book a family business like Eco and be treated as part of their family.

This was hands down the best tour we have ever been on. We saw a group of dolphins with a few juveniles and a tiny baby. The captain kept a respectable distance but close enough to see these amazing animals. Then a perfect sunset and full moon. It could not have been any more magical than it was. Thank u captain Tom and Hadden for an amazing trip!

What a fun way to spend the afternoon! We found 3 dolphins that played around the boat and came really close to us, for about 10 min. Bucket list check! The guys on board were really knowledgeable, taught us a lot and took great sunset pics. We had an awesome time. Highly recommend!

Crew members Matt and Heather were great. Very knowledgeable and respectful of the habitat and surroundings. Had a great time even though no sun and windy!!!

Wade and Brian were awesome - so knowledgeable and personable! We had a blast! Sunset was beautiful, we saw dophins and a hammerhead shark and rescued a water logged seagull! We will be back!

Andrew, Hayden and I think Josh(?) were great! They were very attentive to all the passengers. They were very knowledgeable about dolphins, the waters and Key West in general. This was beautiful way to see the sunset on 2024! Highly recommend this adventure!

Excellent! Super FUN - they are super knowledgeable about wildlife, sea life, the Keys, snorkeling was guided and we saw so much - from eels to the 250 yr old sponge! We saw dolphins and amazing sunset - they nailed it! And the boat is extremely clean and they had blankets - which we needed in Dec!

The sunset, the dolphins, being on the water on a beautiful evening. I have as a bit disappointed that we didn’t really sail much because the jib sail was ripped and apparently had been for several weeks. The crew were very chill and worked to make it a pleasurable experience.

I booked for this event via Viator but unfortunately this event only takes place in winter as told by dock peoples when I shown my ticket It was 45 mnt back and forth to one boat to another to see which one is going to take us Booking through this site is not recommended because they don’t check the schedule and events properly and are over priced Finally Rachel the tour guide from caterrman ship was able to accommodate us The date for trip was 6/13.. The event is pure fun and memorable They give snacks everything and share the marine life and eco system .Got to see snorkels.. Amazing sunset .

I 've never had a more magical adventure in my life. My son and I could not stop smiling! Rachel the marine biologist and Kyle the sailor made the moment perfect. Small group tours are so much better than the larger ones. My son was even allowed to raise the sail. The experience that we had was priceless. Beautiful, peaceful cruise. Not the noisy, crowded sunset cruise experience at all. Rachel and Kyle truly enjoy what they do and make every effort so that you have a perfect cruise. We saw bottle nosed dolphins and a gorgeous sunset. It was a great experience. Rachel is very knowledgeable about the ocean and its inhabitants. Kyle is a skilled boat handler. So nice they limit the cruise to 20. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time sailing with Rachael and Kyle. Rachael is a marine biologist and was happy to answer all the questions we asked about fish, sharks, etc. Our dolphin search was canceled and replaced with a local musician, Turner Haris. He sang original songs and it really added to the ambiance of sailing at sunset. We would highly recommend Honest Eco if you're in Key West.

If you’re looking for a relaxing way to enjoy the sunset, this is it. Great crew ( Kyle and Rachel) and chill experience. Didn’t happen to see dolphins but all around lovely early evening.

This was just OK- a sunset cruise where you sail out maybe a mile and then circle around waiting for sunset and heading back in. No real attempt to seek out wildlife which I guess is the mantra of respecting the habitat, but calling it a dolphin search in any way is quite misleading. Crew could interact with the guests more, make it more personable beyond showing us a book of wildlife facts. Boat ride is good and comfortable and if you want a quiet, leisure sunset cruise this might be okay, but don't expect much more than that. In my eyes, sit on the dock and save yourself some $$.

I'm not even sure where to start or what to say that would do this company any justice for how amazing they are. Our tour was rescheduled due to "Squid" being down, we had an afternoon reservation. Which ended being even better for us, since we would get to see the sunset! After all, it was the last night of our honeymoon, so that was the icing on the cake. Captain Jesse was our captain, he was so professional, and very knowledgeable as well! His and Rachel's team dynamic was awesome watching them work together to sail! The guest service was absolutely top notch. Rachel was on our tour and she is an absolute beast at sailing and she is so knowledgeable. She is also funny, and a great teacher! We came into some bad weather after watching the dolphins, and even with the rain, the wind, and some pretty choppy seas, they maintained a great attitude, exercised care, and made sure everyone was good, in the loop, and safe. I was very impressed by this, and if we're being honest, it was pretty epic. I had a blast!!! Lol!!! The amount of care they take when they do these tours, and the amount of happiness you see in them when they speak about these dolphins and the reef is absolutely contagious. Captain Jessie and Rachel were amazing! They were incredibly knowledgeable and informative. Definitely going out with them again! Rachel was a great snorkeling guide and even got pictures for us. We were able to see a black tip shark, multiple species and genders of parrot fish, rasp fish and many more. The reef we ventured to had beautiful fan coral, stag horn coral, golden and star corals. This trip was one of the best I’ve been on. Not to mention the delicious fruit they provided after snorkeling while we watched the sunset! I am so fortunate to have met them and plan to stay in touch considering the vast amount of resource knowledgeable they can provide! Thank you Jessie and Rachel!!!!!

Jesse and Rachel were wonderful and very knowledgeable about all things under the sea. They were so patient and it was apparent they truly enjoy their job and the well being of all sea life. I would purchase this excursion over and over again with these two.

I loved the entire experience. I went with my family, and I was a little nervous at first, but I LOVED it. It was one of the coolest things I've ever done. Everyone was super kind and friendly, and it wasn't a very big group so you could really get a chance to talk to people and get to know them. They were very knowledgeable, and they were always ready to answer any questions you had. The sunset was beautiful and the boat was amazing, and we all had so much fun.

This was one of the, if not THE, most amazing things we did while in Key West!! The crew is outstanding, caring and extremely knowledgeable. You could tell that they are biologists and know what they are talking about. There were not too many people on board, the sunset was incredible and we saw dolphins 3 times. It was perfection!! If you go for a tour, book this one, there is no better one out there.
