Key West Dolphin Tour & Snorkeling- Small Group

Able to do our family of 6 together and was such a special trip. Our guide Cam was wonderful. We found dolphins to watch and took us to a private island for some snorkeling. What an amazing family experience

This experience was underwhelming at best. The captain seemed to be buying his time on the water "looking" for dolphins. We did see a small pod, that mostly hid from us. Not his fault. I guess. We found him to be sarcastic and borderline rude at times. The snorkeling was about 20 mins. A very small coral reef with some fish swimming around. No snacks offered a cooler with some drinks was available. We definitely expected more for the money we paid.

Excellent experience and our guide Melissa was brilliant, super kind to our young children, and very knowledgeable.

Had a wonderful time on the water. Unfortunately, we did not see any dolphins but we did see a shark.

This excursion was fantastic! Our guide was lovely. We were able to see quite a few dolphins up close. We also snorkeled near a shipwreck and saw many fish. The third part included stopping on a sandbar. We were able to swim and enjoy the crystal clear water and the luxurious soft sand below. The boat ride was super enjoyable and I would highly recommend this excursion.

We had a great time on our Key West snorkeling tour. The trip was organized, the crew was professional, and everything ran smoothly. Cam was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout the excursion, making sure guests were comfortable and had what they needed. His positive attitude and excellent customer service were much appreciated. Overall, it was a fun experience with beautiful and memorable views - we would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Key West. We look forward to doing it again in the future! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Eddie guides us on a very nice boat ride to see some dolphins and snorkel around some of the local coral reefs. It was a very nice experience and worth every penny. Spring for a private excursion if you can.

Tim, our boat captain, was great. Told us about what was on the shoreline. We saw about 8 or 9 dolphins. It was raining so the water was cold. But a great time!

We had a fantastic morning snorkeling adventure with Captain Cam. It was windy and there was chop, things that only Mother Nature controls, but he navigated us expertly to a reef which we had all to ourselves to enjoy spotting parrotfish, a *really big* grouper, and much much more. As a guide, he shared his knowledge of regional history, geography, and ecology and, most importantly, communicated openly so that he understood what kind of experience our family was hoping to have, ensuring we had a wonderful time, with the wind instead of despite of it. Highly recommend him as a Captain and Dolphin Safaris for tours!

Madison was AMAZING!!! Full of info about Key West and dolphins! We got to see dolphins and had an amazing time! Boat was clean and well maintained. What an awesome day!

Tim was an outstanding captain! He made sure my family was well taken care of. We saw dolphins, a manatee and a selection of beautiful birds. We all had a great time!

The company immediately rebooked us the night before when they knew the weather was not going to cooperate. Because of that we had an incredible trip seeing dolphins that swam right by our boat. Our captain was Tim and he was friendly and very knowledgeable. A beautiful sunset on the way back was a great bonus.

Had a lovely time with Melanie and Dolphin Safari. We had 9 and 11 year old kids with us and Melanie was super engaging with them the whole time. Snorkeled on a wreck and then went to a sand bar to ‘walk in the middle of the ocean’ for a while. Will definitely do it again on our next trip south.

An incredible adventure! We saw so many dolphins, and some even came to play under our boat, which was amazing to watch. Our captain, Tim, was fantastic and answered all of our questions. We also had time to do some snorkeling above a shipwreck. I highly recommend this excursion!

Giving the second star strictly for our captain Cam. Cam was great. The tour was not good. Supposed to be snorkeling and dolphins. The snorkeling was advertised falsely. It was awful. Nothing to see. If you want to snorkel and look at grass, a few pieces of coral and pinfish then this is for you. Seriously disappointing. Unfortunately no dolphins but that happens. Advertisement says 95% success rate for dolphins, this is not my understanding of the truth based upon what I was told. To top it off we ended the tour an hour early, which doesn't make sense because we had not found any dolphins - yet.

Fun afternoon experience with plenty of dolphin sitings! Our captain, Madison, was great and her knowledge of dolphins along with her boating expertise added to this excursion. If you are looking for a fun, safe and personal outing with limited people on board you will want to consider this one!

It was a great tour and loved the dolphin encounter! Because of the of year the water was extremely cold with low visibility and we didn’t get to see any fish during snorkeling but I don’t know how much of that was due to the tour or just because we went in February. The water wasn’t totally unbearable. My husband swam for like 20mins, I could only do 5. But the water was very cloudy. I definitely would have preferred to stand on a sand bar due to this. Might have given me a little more time in the water to explore and possible could have seen some fish. Other than that I had a great time! It would have been a 5 had the snorkeling been better 🥶

Because of our change in travel schedule, we were unable to make the experience work. However, this company was extremely accommodating and trying to get us out on the tour with the best weather at the best time. They were extremely nice on the phone and much more accommodating than other companies we have worked with in Key West. I am hoping the next time we are visiting Key West we will be able to schedule again and take the tour. Would highly recommend!

We went today and we had the best time! Tim was great at answering our questions and teaching us about key west. We found dolphins quickly and kept finding them throughout our trip. We snorkeled too. So much fun and well worth the money.

The best tour of our holidays in Florida ! Melanie took us in a small and comfy boat to watch the Dolphins and snorkeling in a great spot. Boat trip was beautiful and both adults and kids (adolescents) enjoyed it a lot. Warmly recommended!

My family and I just went on the dolphin & snorkeling tour on October 13th with Captain Eddie. We loved the small boat size and personalized tour. Captain Eddie knows so much about Key West after living here for 19 years. We got to see 10 or more dolphins playing and snorkel. Complete success!

That was awesome — swimming with dolphins, snorkeling, and just cruising with the breeze. Huge thanks to the captain! We were out for about 3–4 hours, and it was totally worth it! Highly recommended!

We had such a great time on our dolphin watching and snorkeling boat ride. Madison was so friendly and helpful. We spotted a bunch of dolphins before and after an amazing snorkel. The reef was clear and we were able to see lots of fish, coral, and shells. Highly recommend!

Our captain was awesome, patient, and her little dog was cute and amazing. She took us to see a lot of dolphins, we practiced snorkeling, and then went to see the colorful fish and sting ray while snorkeling in deeper water!

My family and I were looking for an adventure and a snorkel trip. The main goal was to see sea turtles and dolphins. Our boat captain, Tim, delivered, finding the right spot to see a beautiful sea turtle and two pods of dolphins at different locations. We also saw sting rays and nurse sharks along the way to various locations. We snorkeled with a Goliath Grouper and multiple other type of fish and pretty coral. We highly recommend the five-hour tour with Tim.

Melanie was a great captain! It was easy to meet up with her at the boat at the address in Viator. 6 of us booked the boat for 3 hours. There was room for all of us to sit comfortably (I'm 6'4" and not skinny). The cooler had ice cold bottles of water and soda as advertised. Nature was kind and we were able to see an eagle ray, dolphins and a hammerhead. We got to relax on a sand bar and we were able able to snorkel near an old shipwreck. Our captain had snorkels for all of us and flippers. She also helped us gearing up! This was the best part of our weekend getaway. Highly recommend and would definitely book again. Thank you for making my wife's 40th birthday vacation a memorable one.

Excellent adventure! Lost of dolphins and a great snorkeling time in warm waters! Captain Nikki was superb! It was a family event (from 20 y-old to 88 y-old) and we ALL had fun!

Great smaller capacity trip. We saw dolphins and had a great time snorkeling. Tim was very informative and helpful. Easily located on Stock Island. Very prompt and went above and beyond to help me in and out of the water. Highly recommend!

Captain Ed was the best! We had a thrilling boat ride, going fast at all the right times and relaxing in perfect ambiance! I actually wrote down many Ed-icisms full of wit and humor! What an adventurous soul! Definitely recommend this for all ages! We were on a 4-personal boat and it was personal and memorable! Very affordable considering it was like a private charter but 1/4 the price!

Our captain was very helpful and knowledgeable. We took the snorkeling and dolphin watching trip. We could snorkel in peace and saw a school of dolphins! Wonderful.

The whole experience was fantastic, from seeing the dolphins to snorkling in a beautiful spot on the ocean. Our skipper, Eddie was very knowledgeable on the the local area and boating in general. Our safety was his top priority.

We loved the dolphins snorkel trip. Our Captain Madison was so sweet and flexible. We searched for dolphins and did not see them. She gave us the option to keep trying and we did. We found dolphins who were amazing. They bobbed up and down, did flips and at one point swam close to the boat. We could not have asked for a better dolphins experience. Because the water was murky we did not snorkle in deep water. She went to shallow water and my daughter walked and snorkled with a mask. The water was so clear. We saw a sting ray and my daughter picked up a shell that had a hermit crab in it. The boat provided drinks, snacks and even blankets when it was cold. Loved this very personalized experience much more than I would have enjoyed a trip on a bigger boat. Definitely recommend!

Thanks to previous reviews, I booked this tour company for The dolphin watch and we also booked the sandbar tour. I called with a few questions and Alexandra answered all my questions.....she was so friendly and helpful! We had Captain Melanie for this tour and she was awesome. We saw plenty of dolphins and she took us to a great place to snorkel. I was so happy to also have booked the sandbar tour...both such great experiences. This company is top notch! Thank you for making our trip to Key West so enjoyable!

Really horrible management and they will cancel your tour when you arrive by their boat ... Big risk to your trip and not reliable!

Loved the Dolphin Safari. Had some very close interaction with a group of dolphins and great snorkeling. We enjoyed the boat ride too. A great experience all around!

So glad we did this, despite the foggy day… Captain Tim was very accommodating & took us to several sights we enjoyed. Sadly did not see any dolphins, but we saw nurse sharks, iguanas, & upside-down jellyfish. Also, Tim’s music playlist was perfect for our group and he had great recommendations for other places to visit during our trip! Truly a unique experience & would highly recommend!

It has always been a dream of mine to see dolphins swimming free and wild in their home the ocean and I had to booked this boat trip whilst I was in Key West hoping to see them and I did 🥹💙🐬… I was nervous getting on a boat but as soon as I meet Melanie our captain I felt so at ease, she’s so warm and great person and incredibly at what she does I instantly felt so calm, safe and excited and she knew so much 🫶🏼🩷. Thank you Melanie for giving me this experience that I will never forget, it was incredible and you were amazing 🫶🏼💙. Loved every moment x

Small group tour. Captain Tim was amazing. Took us to a snorkeling spot away from the crowds. He explained snorkeling so that everyone even a a beginner enjoyed the experience.

We had a fantastic time with our Captain Niki. We went Dolphin hunting and were not disappointed! Many sightings including a youngster who playfully flipped upside down for us. Snorkeling was nice too although it was too windy to go to the best spot. Nikki was great all the way through and made us feel welcomed and patiently worked with us on the snorkeling part. She was very knowledgeable and she communicated with other captains to find the best dolphin sightings. We will be black!

Captain Eddie ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Awesome waterways knowledge Natural history buff, world traveler and great storyteller Kind and funny All around great guide and captain Adult daughter and I took a 415 pm “dolphin watch.” Frankly, we just wanted to be out on the water. No expectations. (We’re lucky to have seen lots of wild dolphins bf). If you love nature, and want a more nuanced, detailed narrative about the waters around Key West, you MUST do Dolphin Safari and request Capt. Eddie. If you want a fun, low-key, small group snorkeling, boating, dolphin and sea-life spotting experience, try a Dolphin Safari trip with Capt. Eddie. We were incredibly lucky: saw sea turtles, plenty of fish, a shark, cormorants, etc , learned cool things about sea grass and sponges, AND as sun was about to set, Eddie zipped us over to a spot he knows where a dolphin pod appeared as if on cue👏👏. We watched from a resptful distance. AND, the photo opps are stunning. Towards the end of our trip we were straddled by a glorious sunset in the west and a fantastic brewing rainstorm cloud towards the east. What a great ride:) Best water-ways eco tour we have ever had!
