Key West Deep Sea Fishing: Big Fish

We had an excellent time! Jeff and Stan were awesome!

They were professional, on time, and made sure we caught some fish.

A must do is seeing the Sharks feeding live, really cool! Take a ride on the Craigcat from Key West Boat and Jet Ski Adventures. Three great restaurants: Little Pearl (Awesome) Lola’s (Incredible) Square Grouper (Fun and delicious)

Amazing day fishing. The boat is a bit dated but I say that gave the cool vibes. You can feel this one has been fishing for a long time. It is overall very convenient. Jeff and Christian also great! Very skilled. We caught 4 barracuda and 4 king mackerel. The best experience was we caught a monster Tiger Shark. 15 feet. Fight of a lifetime. We had to reel it in in shifts. Everyone was in exhausted. All catch and release except 1 mackerel which we let Boat house restaurant cook up for us. Overall incredible day!

We (I) wanted to love them. BUT, while Jeff was personable and interactive, Russ was your typical salty captain. I would call our lack of fish bad luck, but looking at 360 upon returning to shore showed us that we went in a straight line out, and a straight line back after a couple circles. I, like the other reviewer, emphasized that we were hoping by booking a 6 hour trip that we would find big fish. I mean, aren’t we all hoping for that? Basically there was no looking for fish, just driving the boat with his foot. Haha. Literally. I read a review saying the boat is older, yes…it is older 44 years old to be exact. It shows it. It also shows lack of maintenance and well, cleaning. Don’t expect toilet paper, windows that you can see through, or couches with cushions that aren’t sunk in and duct taped. :) It was comical. AC was kind of there, kind of not. Overall, it was meh. Not the worst, not the best. Wish I would have just spent the extra money on a better charter. (If it weren’t for Jeff, my review would probably have been lower.) You get what you pay for, but we still payer over a grand and are eating Cuban sandwiches right now.

This was a great experience with Captain Jeff and Christian. They were both very personable and genuinely nice people. They both worked very hard to give us the opportunity to catch some fish and I ended up catching a large Mahi (it was large to me!!) We caught several fish and had a great time!

This was my first-time deep-sea fishing with my son, and it was fantastic! Captain Jeff was pretty responsive and helpful throughout the excursion and communication was excellent. The waves were a bit rough and choppy on the day we rode out on the boat, and my son got a bit sea sick. However, the experience was very memorable, and we caught quite a number of fish (1 barracuda and 4 mahi). Highly recommended!

Had an awesome time fishing with Captain Russ and First Mate Russia! We did a 1/2 day trip in the morning, and these guys really know their stuff. They made the whole experience a blast, and we came back with a mahi, a wahoo, and a tuna—couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water. Everything ran smoothly, and they made sure we had fun the entire time. Highly recommend these guys.

We were on the fish thanks to Captain Jeff and Christian. Five Black Fin Tuna and two Barracudas - one was 47” which will be mounted on the wall. Great experience - highly recommend!

Great time and great way to start the day. Half day fishing in the morning with three couples. Captain Russ and Jeff were very accommodating and professional. They did all the work and we had all the fun. Fish were few but the experience was something that we will do again. Nevertheless, we caught enough for us to enjoy lunch at nearby Hogfish

We parked where they say, for free. Made an easy walk to the boat. The inside of the boat is air conditioned and very comfortable. We brought our own snacks, they had plenty of water. We launched and were in the fishing grounds after a pleasant ride. Little bit of rock-paper-scissors and we picked who went first. We took turns fishing and brought home great memories of Mahi Mahi, a Massive 44 inch long Wahoo, and Barracuda! Captain Jeff and First Mate Christian were great!!

We had a great time with Captain Jeff and Christian! They were so accommodating and the trip was five stars! Don’t bring any bananas! Had no idea that was a thing! We caught many fish in the first couple of hours and hooked four basically at the same time! Enjoyed the trip and the boat so very much! Thank you for a great experience we will never forget it!

If you are looking for a deep sea charter in Key West, look no further. We had a blast with Captain Russ and Christian. They put us on a lot of fish including several mahi mahi and a couple of nice barracuda on our 4-hour morning trip. Highly recommend Corsair2!

My husband and I had a wonderful day fishing on Corsair ll! Captain Jeff and first mate Christian made sure that we had a fun and successful day of fishing! They are great and knowledgeable fishermen! We caught tuna and mahi-mahi that they fileted beautifully. The boat was comfortable and the inside had lots of space and AC. I highly recommend Corsair ll for all levels of fishing experience.

This was the best guided trip I've ever been on. Tons of fish. Fantastic crew of real fisherman that were even better people. I would've spent a week with these guys if I had the chance. As an avid fisherman having fished tournaments for 14 years all over the country I can say that these guys can absolutely put you on the fish no matter your skill level. Everything was extremely organized, they took great care of me and my uncle and it will be an everlasting memory 15/5 ⭐️

Corsair II fishing charter with Captian Jeff and first mate Christain was amazing. If I could give them 10 stars I c ould. We cought and large assortment of fish. We hooked up with 17 fish and got 16 on the deck can't do much better than that. We will definitely come back and use them again. First rate

Our first charter out of Key West was amazing. Captain Jeff was professional and social. The first mate Christian kept the lines in the water and made us laugh throughout the day. We gave them a wish list and they delivered on everything we asked for. Our group could not have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely recommend the crew of the Corsair II to anyone looking for an exceptional fishing experience. The full day charter was an all day catch. We will definitely be back for multiple trips.

We went out on a 6 hour trip with Capt. Russ and Jeff, both guys were great. We ended up catching 9 fish (King Mackerel, Barracuda, Bonita and 6 Mahi-Mahi) so it was a very successful trip. We even decided to have the 35" Mahi mounted, which they offered on the boat. One thing that I REALLY appreciated on the boat was the AC as it got hot out there! Not sure what else to say, it was a great experience and if we're ever in Key West again, we'll absolutely go out on the Corsair 2 again.

Crew was skilled and friendly for our 3/4 day outing on a choppy day. Our catch was fileted at the end of the day to take home for cooking. Only wish there was some more comfortable seating for those not actively engaged in the fishing.

Caught lots of fish and Christian did a great job filleting our fish to take home for dinner. We caught 5 fish on our trip. Everyone was happy

The crew was great! The Captain put us on the fish and the Mate worked hard. Both here nice guys who made sure we had a fun day.

The crew seamed nice enough. The boat was over 40 years old and did not look like there was any upkeep in the last 20 years. I could not find one square foot of the boat that was not damaged in one form or another. I picked up the pole to reel a fish in as I have done for over 50 years only to be told don't take it out of the holder just sit on the gunnel and crank the reel. Not real fishing to me. But maybe they have lost gear from people that don't know how to fish. Only caught some mackerel and a couple of small barracuda. One hour of your 4 hour trip will be a boat ride and they watch the clock closer than watching for fish.

Amazing morning of fishing! We did the 8-12 fishing trip. The staff was very helpful and professional. They did all they could to make sure we caught some fish. Amazing trip!

Captain and crew were very helpful and knew their stuff. Made several stops to ensure we would catch several fish. You could tell they love fishing, and their enthusiasm showed it.

Our family had an amazing trip. Capt and first mate were terrific. We came, we caught fish, we were about to relax in an AC cabin and still go on deck to fish. We had 6 people with plenty of room. I truly loved our experience, we will do it again when we return. I do highly recommend the 6 hr trip. 4 never feels like enough and 8 would feel long. Highlight of our trip. When you come to the Keys, you have to get on the water. Best boat.

Had a wonderful day out fishing with captain Russ, his crew Christian and Jeff. Although this is a slow time of year for fishing we were still able to get a few mahi and a barracuda. We have been on a number of fishing trips and this was one of the better experiences. Would highly recommend the Corsair 2 to anyone interested in a great day of fishing.

Just a fantastic day on the water. Captain and first mate were clearly great at their job and knew what they were doing. Caught a bunch of fish, and the guys were very accommodating when our group wanted to switch it up. Had an amazing time, highly recommend.

When we arrived at the marina we sat down with the captain who talked to us about safety and the pricing, then after taking the money he left to get the boat moving. Before getting the boat fully untied, the captain came into the boat and told us that our trip was cancelled since his wife had covid and he was leaving. He gave us our money back then left without helping us to find another captain or help fix the issue. While we were understanding of his need to leave and be with her, the fact that he waited until we were on the boat with him on the morning of the trip when he cancelled really impacted our opinion of the service. We should have been informed much sooner. Furthermore, if he had been recently exposed to covid why would he risk getting my family sick during our one week of vacation. While we understand the circumstances, the experience felt irresponsible and that should be worrisome when these people are taking you out for hours. There are other better charter options in the marina.

Had a great fishing trip with them! Caught quiet a few fish and they will filet the fish you can keep for you to take home with you. Best mahi we’ve had!!

Had a 5 star deep sea fishing experience with Corsair 2 and Captains Russ and Craig. Brought in a Triple Tail and 11 Mahi Mahi including a 56 inch, 33lb one on our 6 hr trip. Definitely recommend them and will book them again. They made sure we had a great time and were extremely easy to book.

What a wonderful day fishing with Captain Russ and Justin. They worked so hard trying to find the fish and making sure we caught what we wanted. They got me the sailfish I have always wanted and we also caught a beautiful shark. If you are looking for a hard working crew, please use Corsair II

This was our 2nd charter, once again we had a fabulous trip. The service was impeccable, the boat gear was well equipped and most of all plenty of fish. The captain and crew are awesome they sure knows how to make a trip to Key West memorable.

Do not use this company if you went threw Groupon! I purchased a Groupon and called to book with this company 4 months out. He was excited to book until he found out I had a Groupon special, which covered two people for $215.00. He started saying he hand no availability every week that I gave him. He was out on the boat with no schedule handy and I was booking out 3 1/2 months early. He kept saying he had full charters every week that I gave him. When I went on trip advisor to book my trip for $850, every day I gave him was available. He wanted me to play it by ear when I arrive and he would see if he could fit us in with another group. He said he only honors the Groupon for scheduling if he can find a paying group to squeeze people in. False advertising, Liar, you name it!!! I would never go with him, I will pay a professional company that stands by their offers 1st! Thankfully, when I contacted Groupon, they refunded me because they said they are getting a lot of complaints from this vendor. Hopefully he's dropped his Groupon side hustle. It was a total waist of time!

Dec 2021 We had an amazing day out on the Corsair2. Captian Russ and first mate Justin were very proffesional and friendly. We were lucky enough to catch several large fish (Snappers, Mackerels & Barracudas). My family of 5 all participated in the catch & had a blast. We brought our fresh cut filets to the restaurant at the docks and had them prepared three different ways. Sea to table in under an hour for an incredible meal that can’t be beat! Thank you Corsair2 & crew for making fun memories that my family and I will never forget. i highly recommend you treat your family to this awesome experience aboard the Corsair2 during your vacation to the Florida Keys. Took the 8 hour option and it was so fun! Time flew by super fast. Perfect for all levels and our ages ranged 16 to 77. We all had success in catching fish. We ended the day with a family style dinner with one the the fish we caught at a local restaurant. The captain told us all about how to prepare different types of fish. Great on many levels.

If your looking for a great fishing trip with great staff look no further! Captain Craig and First mate Justin put us on some killer fish! We had a cooler full!
