We did the 2 hour guided tour into the mangroves with Isaac. He was patient with us, kept us safe and challenged us to explore and see nature up close. He narrative along the way and showed us various nature/history of the area. He took us thru various mangrove mazes and we got to see jellyfish, baby fish, baby sharks, red crabs and get fully immersed in the mangroves. You could not hear/see civilization while on the trip until we got close to the airport. An awesome experience with a very good guide. A must do if you come to key west for sure. Get a clear kayake to be able to see the fish below you as well. We got to experience open water kayaking to/from the mangroves area as well. TIPS Bring 2 bottles of water as you will need them to stay hydrated. Paddling is slow going but you will feel the de-hydration if you don't drink along the trip. Get prepared to get wet and dirty. You will be up close with the mangroves. You will need to bend over, limbo backwards, use your hands to move branches as well. The facility has a very clean porter potty which you could change in afterwards if needed. They also have a portable sink to wash your hands afterwards. They will provide the kayake, life jacket and paddle. Advisable to have water shoes, kayaking gloves for comfort.

I’m sure it is wonderful weather permitting ours was cancelled because of windy weather and othered did not show up
We had a great time on this tour. The water was really high so it made kayaking through the mangroves a bit more difficult, but the guide Isaac was very patient with us. We got lucky and he even found some nurse sharks for us to see.
They canceled on me twice with no reason. I got a refund but the objective was to go kayaking. If you want to complete your excursion I would avoid these jerks. They canceled the morning tour because they didn’t have a guide and not sure why they canceled the evening tour
Isaac was great. He made the experience relaxing for beginners.
Guide was very knowledgeable on the area and knew the best spots to see awesome scenery and wildlife.
It was a wonderful experience! Issac was extremely knowledgeable about the ecosystem and the mangroves. He was a great guide!
The overall tour was cool but our guide was twenty minutes late. We didn’t get too many instruction on how to do basic kayak stuff so some of the first timers were a little lost.
Exploring the mangrove forests is definitely a worthwhile experience. The guide was patient and took his time explaining the area and letting us “kayak around” at our leisure. If you like kayaking, this is a fun trip!
Our guide was very friendly and informative. Took us all around the mangroves and to a sand bar. Would recommend.
It was amazing! Would do it again!
What a great experience!! Turns out that it was just me and my guide, Johnathan. He had great patience with me and ensured I had an unforgettable kayak trip! Thank you!!
Amazing tour, Jon was great, informative and so helpful. The area was beautiful and I would gladly go again
It was a good relatively gentle kayaking experience where we saw sharks and upside down jellyfish, parrot fish and an angel fish. We went through mangrove tunnels and enjoyed the ride. Our guide was a very pleasant helpful young man who was often looking at his phone when not talking with us. Ah, youth! Nonetheless, he was attentive to my husband's physical differences (vision and physical limitations).
Great! Our tour guide was amazing and did so great with our kiddos. She taught us a lot about the ecosystem and pointed out some really cool sea life. (You can park your vehicle in front of the light blue fence btw. )
Our guide, Sebastian, is a very pleasant young man. He is knowledgeable and sincere in wanting to provide a good experience for his customers. We had the privilege of a one-on-one experience and it was a pleasure. I am an experienced kayaker and it was just so much fun not to be rushed and get to enjoy a “stroll” through the mangroves.
They wanted us there a hour early. This was not need. There were just the two of us. I can see if there was a lot of people 30 to 40 min. We set around for a very long time.
Provided what was promised. Minimalist guide value add. Nice area for kayaking. Rude communications from the tour company. They need some marketing help.
It was a beautiful day to be on the water. We did not see many fish even though our guide tried very hard to find us places that usually had lots of fish. He did point out coral and jelly fish as well as tell us all about the local fish and plants. We got the clear bottom boats which was ok but you don't need them. Most of what we saw was off the sides. I would recommend this trip even though we saw few fish. It was just nice to be out and have a couple of relaxing hours to explore. One side note, if you have a bad back it may not be for you as the boats can be uncomfortable if you do.
We went on a very hot and sunny day at noon. I would recommend earlier or the nighttime if possible. Sebastian made it worth our while though. Good tour guide. Saw a few sharks, iguanas, and some other tropical fish.
Very serene and calm water. The guide was knowledgeable and patiently explained about the jellyfish in the water. Enjoyed it more than our expectation.
Would give zero if there was an option. Booked the double kayak eco tour for 9am. supposed it was a slow day so my wife and I were the only people who signed up. It’s now 20 mins past 9 and our tour guide is nowhere to be found. The person manning the booth previously left with a different 9am craigcat tour and just told us to wait. I called the main office number at 9:10 and the call center person at around said she couldn’t reach anyone. Unbelievable and incredibly unprofessional.
Peaceful and informative. Learning about the wildlife and seeing the fish under the kayak was very fun.
It was fun paddling through the mangroves. I liked that there was only a small group of us, which made it easier to hear the guide.
We didn’t get training on kayaking. My partners seat was broke. We took on water because the seat was broke and we leaned too much one way. Saw very little wildlife.
Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Key West and the mangroves. Very patient and great at guiding us through the mangroves. Highly recommend this tour!
I’m so glad we went on this tour. Jamie is a fun and knowledgeable guide, and we learned so much about the mangrove ecosystem while we explored. Saw lots of wildlife, too!
Fun, relaxing. Our grandchildren loved the adventure. We saw sea life and wildlife. I would recommend to families.
We ended being the only two people on the trip. Mallory was awesome and asked us what we wanted to see and customized the tour for us. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Saw birds, jellyfish, mangrove tunnels. Very fun trip!
Gianni is awesome! The tour was fabulous, equipment was good, and it is family-friendly. Very educational and fun! This is a great kayak tour!
Did not see a lot of activity in the water. It’s a relaxing, non-strenuous experience and the clear bottom kayaks were cool. The water was clear, saw some nurse sharks and lots of jellyfish. The mangroves are fascinating.
This was canceled due to weather which was understandable and we had to fly out so we were told we would be refunded but that was last week and we have not been refunded yet.
Fun day kayaking through the Mangrove. Our guide was very informative. Saw the many different areas and environments within the Mangrove. It was an easy trip physically.
Need to be in decent shape to get in and out of kayak and to paddle. Very informative tour and beautiful scenery.
We had an amazing experience. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We saw several dolphins and so many brilliant fish. Awesome
There is no signage at the place that tells you that it's clear kayak eco tour. Sebastian was a good tour guide.
This was a great tour. We learned a ton about the mango groves & Jellyfish. It was a great experience.
This tour was good for all ages, however it was probably not enough of a challenge for the more adventurous. It is a rather urban tour, but beautiful just the same. Sebastian was our guide, and he was patient, kind and informative. They could do a better job welcoming you to the site. It was a cold reception by our hostess and the others mulling around. No hospitality until Sebastian took over.
We had a great time. It was very relaxing. We saw a family of nurse sharks towards the end of the tour. It was really cool!
Noah was our guide. His knowledge of marine and bird life is stellar. He took us to all the points where the he typically finds things. We saw nurse sharks, red coral, parrot fish, barracuda, tarpon, snapper, several starfish. Pelicans , osprey and another bird that I cannot remember ! He is also a great conversationalist discussing and answering all of our questions. The turtle was elusive this trip but that happens.
Noah was a great guide. Took us through the mangroves, out into the open areas and searching for wildlife. Since we were the only people in our group, we had a private tour! Beautiful day!
We had a fun and informative couple of hours with our excellent guide Noah. We learned a lot and saw a ton of fish, including a nice size nurse shark. Nice afternoon and respite from the wildlife on Duval St . 😂 Will do it again when we visit.
It was a chilly 58 degrees the day of our tour but we still went out. Our guide was great and we had a very relaxed time on the water. The jelly fish we saw were pretty amazing though the water was a bit murky due to the cold front that came through. Still had a great time in the water!
Great experience - lots of fun. Jamie was great, very knowledgeable and patient with us new kayakers. It is a full 2 hours of rowing and pulling through the mangroves so it takes some strength and a little stamina, but fun! There was an issue with the dock - the steps getting onto the dock weren’t right and a little scary, but with help it was fine. Hopefully fixed now.
Our guide, Jaimie, was great and gave us a memorable tour. She was patient with four middle aged women and was very knowledgeable about the area. I don’t think I’d go for the clear bottom kayak again, just because I couldn’t see much through it, but I would recommend this experience for seeing one of the natural parts of Key West.
My sister and I, both in our 60's and first time kayakers, had a great time. Our guide John was very patient and knowledgeable. Learned a lot about the indigenous sea life, to include gently holding a sea hare; even got to see one "ink"! We glided over sleeping nurse sharks and learned about Cassiopeia jellyfish (they look like snowflakes in water). We glided through open waters to mangrove tunnels, at a nice pace that wasn't overly tiring. This was a learning experience about the waters of Key West and if that is of interest to you, we definitely recommend this tour. (A special thanks to John for saving my sister's license from the water!)
Quiet, easy, beautiful. Sebastian was an excellent guide. He found and pointed out nurse sharks, iguanas, snow flake jelly fish, and local birds. We learned more about mangroves. Very nice!
Noah was a terrific guide. We saw manatees, a nurse shark, sea hares, starfish, corral, and lots of fish and birds. Beautiful tour through the mangrove tunnels. Such a great way to ring in the New Year. Highly recommend.
This was a great experience! Very fun, moderately paced (we had a 13 year old with us who had a blast), great sites to visit, our guide was very knowledgeable. Def recommend to anyone seeking a day in the sun and nature, something slower paced than charter fishing and quieter than jet skiing. Great way to spend the day outside and see the beautiful mangroves. 10/10 experience. Thanks Sebastian!
The staff here is on top of it. Super kind and very knowledgeable about the local sealife. Highly recommend going on an adventure here.
