Key West's Island Adventure Sandbar Tour With Kayaking

Took the later cruise as this was booked 2 days solid due to cruise ships. Bonus, we got to see the sunset on the way back! Highly recommend. Especially with Capt Matt & Aimee

Must do activity! The white sand and crystal clear water were absolutely beautiful! The captain and Amee were very pleasant and accommodating.

Key West girls trip 2026. If you are heading to Key West and want to have a fun water experience, then Fury is your go to! Two of us started our day parasailing with crew members Dan and Alex. Then our party of 4 took the evening Sandbar excursion with crew members Todd and Casey. The crew members made sure everyone not only had a great time but we're also safe. On our Sandbar excursion (after very clear water safety instructions) an ADULT who could not swim took his paddle board out past the sandbar. The crew was fast to respond when he went in over his head! Thank goodness all were well and everyone on the boat had a great time.

We always try to get out on a sandbar when we are in Key West: this was our first tour with Fury. I liked the high noon option in the beverage package so we booked. The guides were laidback, fun, the tunes were great as we cruised. We had the option to kayak or just stay and hang at the sandbar. They put out two floats while we listened to music, relaxed in the water, and had some cold beverages. They served us some round wraps sandwiches, fruit, veggies and chips. As tide came up we sailed back to the docks. All and all it was an enjoyable cruise. There are others that go out longer but this was also a fun way to hit the sandbar and the crew made it enjoyable.

Captain Matthew and First Mate Henry were great. Very helpful and accommodating. We have done this tour multiple times as a couple and with our kids as they got older. Very nice trip

Nice getaway to wrap up the ending of our trip away from all the saragasm in the oceans. Peaceful. The captain and the crew gal were beyond attentive. Aimee was the most pleasant person I met all week in Key West! Thank you!

Matthew and Aimee were very attentive to our needs. They're very kind and hospitable. They made the excursion awesome! Our daughters loved kayaking through the mangroves. The food and drinks were good.I am so happy that we did this excursion. We even got a chance to see a beautiful sunset and the ocean felt amazing! We would definitely do this again!

We did the island adventure sandbar tour and loved it so much we went again the same day. Captain Todd and Brook made it a great all-day time. We sawed dolphin and a loggerhead turtle. The sandbar was awesome. Clear warm water to relax in. Thank you for a great day for us.

We loved this excursion so much we did it again the next day! The sandbar, the water, the music, the food and drink and Captain Jude and first mate Penny. We will book with them every time. Great value for money, the team were so attentive funny and engaging I wish I could remember their names ! The guy looked like Brody Jenna and was amazing, nothing was too much We’re here for another week and already on planning another trip with these guys

A true Key West Island experience! A must do for any nature and water lover. It was like having a private island all to ourselves. Went kayaking near the mangroves, and went swimming in the warmest most beautiful water. Food, cocktails, and music were an added bonus. Captain Jude and Mate Allie took great care of us. We loved it so much we’re going back tomorrow!

This experience was a really nice boat tour, short kayak tour and sandbar. Our favorite was the boat ride. We saw a sea turtle, dolphins, and fish. The crew was GREAT! We were not impressed with the sandbar time and kayaking. Lunch was good, better than expected and they were giving out cool water and sodas as much as you would like. The alcoholic drinks were ok, not great. If I booked again, I’d look for just a boating experience.

The tour was great. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I became a little seasick at one point and the crew member (Amy) consistently checked in on me.

Loved this trip would definitely do again. Aime and Captain Jude were great. Worth the money and the trip, and I’m a very very picky person.

The relaxing sandbar tour is just what we needed! The captain and crew were top notch taking care of our every need. The boat was sold out but still had plenty of room for everyone. Drinks stayed full and smiles never left our face! Great spread for a light breakfast and lunch! Crystal clear shallow sandbar for you to enjoy with Lilly pad floats and such. Highly recommend!!

This is the second or third time we’ve taken this sandbar trip and it never disappoints. Thanks mainly to Captain Matthew and Ivy. From the outset they were so attentive, knowledgable and nothing was too much. The kayak tour with Ivy was amazing, she really cares for the ecosystem and has a lot of knowledge. We even saw a Nurse shark. Captain Matthew was the perfect host, not only driving the boat but the endless food and drinks available to us. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Matthew cousins and Brooke B. were the Captain and crew for our trip to the sandbar. From the very beginning, Matthew was very clear and precise and explaining things in a laid-back, funny manner that was perfect for a morning. The CAPTAINS briefing was perfect. It wasn’t a cookie cutter corny briefing where they acted better than you . The briefing made everybody feel welcomed and aware of everything about the boat. Matthew was the best Captain I’ve ever experienced in all the years I’ve been coming out with Fury. His trusty sidekick, Brooke could not have been a more, outgoing and engaging person. She made everybody feel on the boat like they were now part of her family the best part about this as she was genuinely nice. It wasn’t an act which is rare these days. You never had to worry about water or food or taking pictures for you I felt like we were being pampered at a spa. The kayak tour was awesome. I learned a lot. I also learned about Ballast key and I did not know the story they’re local knowledge was very impressive. We will be back in a couple months and it’s on our list of adventures to go on first. Book this trip while you can! Our guides were great and Brooke went above and beyond to make sure everyone had everything they needed. The kayaking was optional and you could just hang back at the sandbar if you wanted. My only complaint is the excursion wasn’t longer!

My husband and I are celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary and decided to take a boat adventure. We had a great time with our captain and Alley. We made new friends and were looking forward to our trip tomorrow.

This trip was exceptional value for money and Captain Jude and crew mate Casey were outstanding hosts. First things, Captain Jude made us aware of all the safety points and regulations, he welcomed us and told us everything we needed to know. We had a 1hr sail out to the Sandbar with a small stop to watch the dolphins play right around the boat. We continued to the mangrove and sandbar where we spent around 2hrs.. Half the group went kayaking around the Mangrove with Casey while the other half chilled out and Paddleboarded around the sandbar and then we swapped over. Plenty of good quality food, drinks/soft and alcoholic drinks were being handed out (alcoholic only after the kayaking was finished). We never felt rushed and were comfortable asking both any questions. We then sailed back to the dock watching the sunset as we went. I’d can highly recommend this trip and these guides.

Very cold and windy in March. Not suitable for Fury to take you out to sea on an excursion. Too cold to get in the water. Only 2 out of our group of 7 made the attempt. Big mistake. Seating on boat very uncomfortable and open to all the elements.

We did the Island Adventure Sandbar tour, and it was awesome, Todd and Jackson are the best, very accommodating and knowledgeable 10/10 will recommend. Can't wait for the next trip.

I highly recommend this activity! We booked this last minute and had no expectations and this was the highlight of our trip! Jude and Ivy were absolutely amazing and made the boat ride so much fun! Food, drinks, music, and activities were tons of fun! If you are on the fence about booking, you won’t regret it!

A very nice afternoon: we took a boat out to a sandbar, had a kayak tour around the island a bit and came back to the boat for lunch, drinks, and time to use the kayaks/paddle boards/lilypad. Pros: nice boat, sandbar area, well organized, good food, opportunity to kayak and be on a boat. cons: kayak wasn’t the best (short, tiny bit of mangroves, little education). Heavy push multiple times for tips, suggesting up to 25% always dims the experience for me. totally fine to suggest once but multiple times and such a high percentage is off putting. overall: a fun few hours and great if you want both boat/sandbar and kayak, but if you want more kayak time to see sea creatures and weave around the mangrove, pick another tour.

We had an amazing time !! Cold drinks and food were provided! Sand bar was beautiful and they had padded boards and other water toys to enjoy!! Matthew and Jackson were the best tour guides! Definitely fun for all!!

My husband and I had a fun time on this tour with Matthew and Jackson. They took great care of the group on board. The kayaking was relaxing along the mangroves and the sandbar time was so enjoyable. Along our root we saw a sea turtle swimming along and other sea life around the sandbar including a juvenile bonnethead shark. The food and drinks were cold and fresh. Our trip was early in the day, otherwise we would have upgraded our drink package to the margaritas. We can’t wait to return to Key West and book again with Fury.

Fury’s Island Adventure Eco Tour was one of the absolute highlights of our trip. From booking to boarding, Danielle Marie Pozzi was incredible—professional, responsive, and always spot-on with quality adventures. She made everything seamless and set us up for the perfect day. On the water, the Fury crew was warm, safety-focused, and deeply knowledgeable about the backcountry ecology. We loved the guided kayak tour through the mangroves with Ivy—she was fantastic at reading the tides, spotting wildlife, and sharing the natural history of the area. After kayaking, we had time to paddleboard, swim, or just relax on a quiet sandbar that felt like a locals-only secret. Lunch was fresh and easy, and beer/wine were included, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and celebratory. Keep an eye out for dolphins and sea turtles—the backcountry is alive with surprises. If you’re considering a half-day that blends adventure and serenity, this is it. They were so friendly, attentive, and made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time from start to finish. They checked in often to see if we needed anything, answered all our questions, and created such a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The whole experience was beautiful and well-organized, but it was really their kindness and care that made it unforgettable. Highly recommend this trip and if you’re lucky enough to get Matthew and Charlie, you’re in for a perfect day!

It was pouring and lightning the morning of and we emailed to check to see if it was canceled and they told us no! 10 mins later we arrived soaked to the bone for them to laugh and say it was canceled due to the storm.

Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on this sandbar trip! Captain Matt along with Kelsie and Ben provided a fun afternoon for us as we kayaked by mangroves and then enjoyed relaxing at the sandbar. Plenty of beer, soda, and snacks on this trip. Our crew always made sure we had what we needed to have the best day.

The experience itself was pretty good BUT the time changed and VIATOR did not update time. We wasted money to take an uber there and they would not refund us any money wasted on that and having to find something to do for 3 more hours. Boat trip was great, staff was wonderful. Kayak through mangroves was beau but could have been a bit longer. “Buffet” was veggie tray, mixed fruit tray, rolled sandwich wraps. Had wine, beer, champagne, soda, no seltzers. Drink options were good.

We took this trip a second time to revisit the pristine heavenly clear waters of the keys and this trip doesn’t disappoint! Captain Matthew and his crew go above and beyond to ensure your trip is enjoyable while looking after your safety. We had captain Matthew the first time we took this excursion and continue to be impressed! I highly recommend this trip to see the real beauty the keys has to offer!
