Key Largo 2-tank Boat Dive For Certified Divers

We had a great stay at Amoray Dive Resort and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed, friendly place to stay and dive in the Keys. The entire crew made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had the pleasure of meeting Captain G, Captain Gabriel, Captain Jeff, Kelly, Ricky, Abby, and Anna. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. A great crew can make a dive trip, and these folks definitely did! The office staff were also incredibly helpful and friendly, making everything easy from check-in to getting ready for our dives. Our room was nice and comfortable, and the entire property was clean and well maintained. Overall, Amoray gave us exactly the kind of experience we were hoping for — good diving, a comfortable place to stay, and a crew that made us feel like guests rather than just customers. We really enjoyed our time there and look forward to coming back!

Had an amazing time on my dives with Amoray. All interactions with staff were great. The boat captain and first mate always made sure we were taken care of and safe. My guides while diving were amazing. January, Tes and Rique made sure my dives exciting and safe. This was my second visit to Amoray Dive Resort and will visit again next year.

Amoray and their team made a bad weather day into a terrific dive day. Capt. G at the helm got us to Molasses reef and back smoothly despite the seas. Murph was a wonderful guide. Anna, our Divemaster was always there to help. January and Tom were guiding others but we’re there for everyone. Highly recommend Amoray for your diving fun. 🤿🤙👏

I got my open water certification at Amoray Diving last week and had the best experience. Gabe, Ricki, Kevin and the whole crew were so helpful and kind, and the dive spots were beautiful! I had the best time and highly recommend if you’re looking to get SCUBA certified. I also stayed at the resort for two nights while getting certified and the room was clean and really convenient.

We had the best experience at this Dive Center. We stayed at the resort for 5 days getting open water certified. The atmosphere was perfect. The crew was absolutely the best and so friendly and fun. The guides on the boat were so helpful and willing to help you with any obstacle to feel safe. Perfect for any age to get certifed. All guides were very patient

Team was great you dive on your own unless you pay for a guide but was an easy dive finding your way around. Team was fun and professional. Would go with them again!

We are over here from the UK and my wife and I plus 2 teenage kids had a wonderful 2 tank dive with Amoray. Saw lots of fish, turtles and also had a lovely wreck dive. Capt. Kevin and Kent are experienced and safe operators. Would highly recommend.

Fun in a safe environment, surrounded by friendly, helpful staff. Cristal clear waters, lots of sea life. If you want a great diving experience, this is it. Just an hour and a half from Miami Beach, worth the drive. We will be back!!

Amoray is an amazing dive outfit. Very professional and accommodating. We stayed at the Amoray Resort and loved the fact that we could just walk to the dive boat. Captain Kevin, Captain Aaron and Captain G. were awesome. First mates Erica and Anna were very helpful with equipment needs or any other dive questions. Cate was an awesome guide and very friendly. If you are looking for an outfit to book for your diving trip I would highly recommend them. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

When the service, location, convenience, AND the diving are all top notch, it is no surprise Amoray Dive Resort easily earns a 5 star review from us. We stayed here for the week and did 6 two-tank guided dives with Nitrox on all dives. We are on the the senior side and appreciate the care and service without ever feeling like we were being pushed...just genuine interest to help if we needed. Something really special about walking out our clean room, grab our gear from the gear locker and board the boat...walking about 100 feet total! The boat is great, the Captains and crew outstanding, and the diving is excellent. You know this place is special when we, as adults, found ourselves not wanting to leave and are already planning our return. Thank you Amoray Dive Resort!

We cannot say enough amazing things about Amoray Dive Center and the entire team who helped our 11-year-old son earn his Open Water PADI certification. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Ricki was absolutely incredible — patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and so wonderful with kids. As parents, trusting someone with your child in the water is a huge deal, and the professionalism and calm confidence of the entire team immediately put us at ease. They made learning feel exciting, safe, and empowering every step of the way. Our son walked away not only officially certified, but with a huge sense of accomplishment and a lifelong love for diving. The instruction was thorough, the atmosphere was welcoming and fun, and you could truly feel how passionate everyone is about what they do. This was such a special milestone experience for our family, and we are beyond grateful to Ricki and the Amoray team for making it unforgettable. Highly, highly recommend for anyone considering PADI certification — especially for young divers!

We had a great experience diving with Amoray Divers. It was my son’s first time to dive in the Ocean after getting certified and it was mine and my husband’s first time in 15 years. They took excellent care of us especially our guide Steph and Kent on the boat. The waves were a bit strong but they made sure we were all safe and comfortable. We also stayed at the resort which was very comfortable, I would highly recommend staying and diving with Amoray Divers.

Even with bad viz & angry water you can have a great dive experience with these guys!! Thanks to Nick & Gabe made the dive experience go smooth, like butter today. All of the captains & crew over our dives were excellent. We love each time we come to dive & stay with Amoray. Aaron & January made our 1st dives this trip great, along with all the staff (that I cannot remember names of, sorry guys, we love y’all, too!!) The boat stays full because it’s the place to be!! That being said, there’s A Lot of room on the boat because it’s more of a pontoon style boat. Best thing by this place is that each time we come to the keys to dive we are greeted by dive pros we know. There’s a lot to be said about keeping great staff year, after year. You will not be disappointed by all the welcoming smiles!!

Two 1/2 day two tank dives. Great experience. Good communication. We had a couple of little things that they took care of as they promised. Nice to have a company that lives up to their word. Would recommend this dive center and will look to dive with them in the future.

Great people on land and on the boat. They know the reefs and get us on good sites. The boat is comfortable even when pretty full.

Gabe went above and before to ensure I was safe and had a memorable dive. Gabe has dived all over the world and is a great ambassador for scuba.

Absolutely amazing experience diving with Amoray Dive Center! My friend and I spent a week with them, and the staff truly made it unforgettable. Everyone was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and welcoming — they made every dive fun and stress-free. The boat crew and dive guides were top-notch, and their positive energy made the whole trip even better. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My husband, daughter and I went on three half-day two -tank trips with the Amoray Dive Center. Gear rental and trip prices were reasonable. The dive shop rapidly assessed and provided our gear needs. On day one we went with Christina as a guide - helping my husband and I re-establish comfort level as we reactivated our diving after a couple of decades away from scuba. Captain Kevin put us on two sites that benefitted from the fantastic visibility day one, and accomodating a strengthening current with a beautiful drift dive for our second dive. Christina was a great guide - she oriented us on the Key Largo reefs generally, familiarized us with Amoray's vessel practices, and buddy checked our setups. We felt pretty comfortable going without a guide on day 2, and Captain Kevin put us on two sites, including an authentic wreck (the Hannah M. Bell, aka Mike's wreck), that accomodated the conditions (3 ft. seas, lower visibility). Day 3 we went out with Captain Aaron, lower seas but also lower visibility on the shallow dive sites but some of our best sightings including a nurse shark. The boat was only full on day 3, but more crew on board to accommodate and, even full, the dive sites were not crowded. The crew was professional, serious about safety, but delivered with Keys laid back humor and energy, and the other divers were all friendly, enthusiastic, varied skills and ages - nice vibe overall. We stayed at the "Resort" so could not beat the convenience afforded by the dive shop and boat on site.

Woohoo!! We were the only dive boat that went out today. Come rain or shine, Captain Aaron took us out for 2 great (& safe) dives. We’ve been out every day for 4 days with Amoray & we HIGHLY recommend the dive trips & the dive resort. Y’all~ we have a clean, spacious apt size unit. Everything about this trip has been wonderful. You can tell the people working the resort & dive trips love their job. We have 5 more days of staying & diving while in Key Largo. You’ll love walking from your room to the dive boat just 50 yards away where your gear is set up & waiting for you. That’s Amorẽ!!

It was a short notice trip for Labor Day weekend and luckily I when I contacted the resort for the dive and stay package Captain Caitlin was answering the phones and helped guide me through the process. She gave me all the information I needed and helped get me in contact with the resort side to get the best room possible. She even offered to get me on another dive boat for one of the days they were booked up. Capt Caitlin was working on the dive boat I went on and was great at presenting information on the dive site, Captain G was great too. I have dove with Amoray in the past and the dive sites and people have been great. The sites are shallow and good for those just wanting a relaxing dive in beautiful water or just getting their sea legs back. I highly recommend Amoray as the people are great and getting on the boat is easier than most dive centers.

We had an amazing experience with Amoray Dive Resort! The crew had high energy and really knew what they were doing/talking about, we felt very safe and in good hands the entire time. It seemed a lot of the people on our boat were staying at the hotel/were returning. The boat was of good size and organized, it also had a bathroom which was appreciated. Getting into the water was a bit chaotic, some dive groups getting split up once they jumped in, people descending right under the jump site and holding people up. But once we were in the water it was wonderful. They gave clear instructions on the sites. There was a good amount of current that day which was a tad nerve wracking for a beginner but the crew instructed is well. We dove with another company the day before and without a doubt we will choose to dive with Amoray when we return!

My husband and I stayed for a week for our anniversary and everything was fantastic Huge thanks to the the crew on the Amoray Diver: Kevin, Aaron, Kalen, Nick, January, Christina, Tom, and all the rest of the crew were attentive, funny, helpful, and knowledgeable! It was a delight to be on the boat with them. I know we just so happened to get *perfect* weather and conditions but everything really did seem extraordinary. The dive sites weren’t too crowded, the water was warm and clear, and we saw tons of wildlife including dolphins (off the boat), sea turtles, sharks, crabs, lobsters, eels, rays, jellies, and of course tons of fish and coral! It will be hard to beat such an incredible trip, but I’m sure Jordan and I will be back to try! THANKS, AMORAY!! ☮️❤️🤿

We booked this trip last minute.It was on a very large boat. The staff on the boat was wonderful , very knowledgeable and made sure that everyone was taking care of. We hired a dive guide which was well worth our money. Her name was Kelen. She was awesome. She made sure our tanks were set up and made sure everyone in our group of 6 were okay at all times. She knew the reef very well. We saw some amazing creatures. Our top ones were a huge spotted eagle ray and a green Morey eel that was over 5' long. The captains and other dive masters were amazing as well ! We enjoyed the guy that was super funny. There was a pretty good chopon the water and they were so all helpful getting everyone out safely. There were a lot of divers aboard as well as some snorklers which surprised us. I was kinda concerned at first ,but let me tell you ,this trip was well staffed and they all worked together as a team to make sure everyone aboard was taken care of. We highly recommend Amoray Divers.

Great staff! Friendly, fun, professional, knowledgeable, attentive, safe, awesome! We went with three different captains a couple of different safety mates. And while we didn’t use a dive guide, all staff was great. We will definitely dive with Amoray again in the future!

Loved my time with Amoray Dive Resort I spent 3 days / 3 nights with the incredibly hospitable and skillful Amoray team. Completed 5 dives during this period, including a night dive. While the day dives have a full boat of about 25, they bring a lot of guides and boat crew. Rest assured this is not a cattle-car experience. The team provides individualized attention and instruction. They accommodate both novice and advanced divers, making all feel welcome. The rooms are newly renovated and comfortable. A slight issue with my bathroom and facilities arrived within an hour to correct the matter. Believe me they care, and it shows in their customer service. Highly recommended!

I have been on quite a few boats and there are a few that standout. Amoray Diver is at the top of the list. We wanted to give special shouts out to Gabi, Bree, Tim, Katlyn, Cap G, January and everyone else I’m forgetting are great.

This was my fourth dive vacation with Amoray in just over a year and it was another great time. I've had the opportunity to dive the Key Largo reefs many times over the years and they never disappoint. The same is true with the entire Amoray crew in the shop and on board. With Capt. G at the helm, you'll get to the best spots and enjoy the boat ride. On board mates (shout out to Gabe) are also excellent (many are also USCG-certified captains). I always hire a guide since they know where the cool stuff is. Tom, Aaron, Nick, and Kevin put me on good spots for REEF fish counts and photography. They also kept an eye on a balky BCD. The entire group is very safety oriented, and they didn't hesitate to call some afternoon trips due to high seas. I also appreciate how they manage a diverse group of divers and snorkelers with varying experience levels and gear configurations. They made the trip fun. I look forward to diving with them again.

My boyfriend and I visited/stayed at Amoray and they did a fantastic job when it came to the scuba diving and snorkeling. Murph was an excellent dive guide and Captain G was great as well! January was very helpful and sweet. Everyone was so attentive and friendly and even gave out good local seafood recommendations. Great conversations and will definitely be back again!

We had a really great experience! The dive master with who we dive (Brie and Kent) were really professionals and fun. Safety were never an issue! The boat and the crew were nice to. We had snack and hot apple cider in between dives.

Kevin is an epic Captain. Wanted to go to Benwood and he took us. So friendly and kind!!!! Also Grace is such an amazing wealth of knowledge and so helpful. Amoray is so lucky to have both of these guys on staff!!!! EPIC HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

Excellent 2 tank dive. Crew was helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend staying at the hotel especially if you plan on making multiple dives.

Pros: -Nice and helpful staff -Nice and organised dive vessel -Good Rental equipment ( but for the fins) -Nice variety of fish ( rays, a big grouper, a big swarm of barracuda for example) Cons: -Surface Intervall of 5-10 minutes max, so there was no time to warm up, eat, drink more than a sip of water, change tanks, relax between dives -both of the the dives were max 8m (27 feet) and we went in the morning so I would assume as per PADI guidelines to start deep and go shallower every following dive the afternoon was also very shallow. -just snorkel fins for naked feet without boots which was just to cold for the temperature of the water All in all I would not recommend as it was to rushed to be really enjoyable

We absolutely loved diving with Amoray Dive Center. The crew Capt G and Ken took excellent care of us. Our guides Kevin and Aaron were very patient and attentive as we were new divers. I felt completely safe with the team and they all made sure we had a great experience. I would absolutely dive with them again and would stay at Amoray Dive Resort.

We dove with two different operators on this trip. Amoray was the best hands down! Crew was very helpful and safety conscious. Fun to be around. Good rental equipment and nice pontoon, covered dive boat.

We stayed at Amoray resort for 4 nights. I was traveling with some family members and young kids. We felt very comfortable at the resort and there always seemed to be staff around helping with the property and the dive boats. Captain G was our captain for 2 of the 3 days and was awesome. Rob was first mate on the boat and was wonderful helping our two junior divers that were in process of getting their open water certification. He was extremely helpful getting them into the water and helping encourage them and stay positive about the new experience. We stayed in one of the townhomes and had plenty of refrigerator space and the rooms and bathrooms were all newly renovated. The only downside of the rooms is they need more hooks in the bathrooms to hang wet stuff to dry.

The dive team was great and the captain was professional. The dive boat had all the amenities. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, and I felt welcomed. The dive center participates in coral restoration projects which is why I chose them. They care about their guests and our coral reefs. I’ll go again!

A wonderful experience again the professionalism of the boat staff including the office staff is top notch. Bre, Canadian and Kelly kept my dives straight which can be a task. Aaron and Travis ran the boat amazing with great staff, Grace, Gabe as first mates and the wonderful guides Gabby, Art and again Grace and Gabe. This our third year in a row and see no reason to go anywhere else, great job Cate!!!

Lauren, Tess, Gabe and Captain G made my first dives after certification a great success!! I learned to dive in Alaska in dry suit and was really worried about doing my first “solo” dives in warm water. Lauren and Tess were great guides who helped boost my confidence and anchor all my learnings from certification. Capt G and first mate Gabe were also wonderful getting us through some rough waters and rain and also helping us up the ladders in bumpy swells. I will definitely dive Amoray again!

We had an excellent refresher scuba dive session with Bre and then she was our guide for successful dives in the afternoon. We would return to Amoray Dive Center.

A huge thank you to Amoray for a terrific diving experience. It was our first family diving holiday and it could not have been better. The customer service and care from all the staff was first class. Everything was of the highest standard:: the dive boat, equipment, dive briefings and dive sites. And everyone at Amoray was cheerful and determined to make sure you enjoyed every moment of your time diving with them. And it was the little things too that matter like the pretzels on the boat after diving and the staff in the store being there to wave the dive boat back in on our return. I cannot recommend Amoray Dive Resort highly enough. Everyone connected with this dive resort cares, makes you feel welcome, and goes out of their way to accomodate your particular needs. The dive boat crew and guides are exceptionally skilled, careful, and helpful, yet also fun (and funny!). Aaron, Kevin, Max, Kaylen, Gabe, and Bree are amazing, as are, I am sure, others with whom I did not interact. The sense that I got was that it was not just the people at Amoray, but also the culture at Amoray. It is also a lovely, relaxing location. Old Florida on the outside and clean, updated, and stream-lined interiors, in a minimalist fashion with touches that suggest a 4-star hotel! I am grateful to have had a chance to stay there and assess my diving ability after a long hiatus!
