The greatest space adventure on Earth begins at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Be sure to check out the 5-story IMAX theaters for breathtaking images captured by the Hubble Space Telescope, plus an astronaut’s view of space in Science on a Sphere. For the kids, stop by the Children’s Play Dome, a one-of-a-kind space-themed playground where youngsters can take off in a spacecraft, climb a moon rock wall, crawl through rocket tunnels and slide to the surface of the Moon.
In the Apollo/Saturn V Center, relive the wonder and excitement of the Apollo era in this one-of-a-kind exhibit that celebrates the unprecedented achievement of putting a man on the moon and the joy that was realized in that moment around the world. Also, take a bus tour past some of the most iconic NASA landmarks. Meet a veteran NASA astronaut at the Astronaut Encounter Show. Visit the impressive Rocket Garden, featuring the first rocket to break free from gravity, and honor NASA’s fallen heroes at the 'Heroes and Legends' exhibit featuring the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame®. Then learn more about what it takes to explore Mars at Journey to Mars: Explorers Wanted.
The journey starts in the Atlantis theater with a close-up view of Space Shuttle Atlantis and more than 60 interactive exhibits. It's a moving celebration of humankind’s greatest achievements. Then in the Shuttle Launch Experience, discover the sights, sounds and feelings of a real Space Shuttle launch. Buckle up and get ready for launch in a one-of-a-kind, custom-designed crew cabin.
Explore the worlds largest space themed shop. From out of this world t-shirts, freeze dried space food to one of a kind lithographs. This shop has everything you could possibly want and more. Most afternoons you can usually find an Astronaut autographing items on the second level.
Ride the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour through restricted NASA property to the Apollo/Saturn V Center. We got a general admission ticket which included amongst other things the tour. This was hosted by Richard and Jessica who was just learning the ropes. The weather was appalling but the tour was still terrific. I would recommend you sit on the right hand side of the bus. You “miss” seeing the assembly building from the bus, but you are going to stop at it anyway. Richard was an excellent guide. There is so much to see. The tour takes about 105 minutes. The Gantry at LC 39 was interesting and gives good views of the landing sites. We went to the 4th floor first, as directed, and a very rude man said you are not allowed here, several times very loudly, very rude.
Amazing experience! Loved the space shuttle simulator. Worth the admission fee. Taking the bus from one area to the next was well organized l.
The experience was awesome and we plan to go back. Our visit was for 6 hours; you really need the whole day or two to take in everything in detail. The TripAdvisor app did have a glitch and our visit was delayed by 30 minutes while their guest services verified our information.
So much to see and do. We spent 7 hours there and wished we had a second day! The staff were great and the bus drivers we very knowledgeable.
Wish we had more time. Plenty to see and do! Wonderful experience for kids, plenty of opportunities to rest and snack. And perfect time to visit (less heat and fewer people than summer). Staff was great!
An absolute MUST, for space enthusiasts. The whole area is completely immersive for families and solo travellers and is as high-tech as you’d expect with NASA. Plenty to see and do and easily fills a full day with food and beverages available at multiple areas on site. Also a very good “soft-play” area for the kids.
TAKE A JACKET THE BUILDINGS ARE FREEZING!!!! I read reviews that stated this, and I’m so glad I did. Many folks trying were miserable. KSC is incredible. Take on/off bus, and all the activities are A+!
A great day out in Orlando. Going in September meant that it was much quieter meaning that we were able to get around everything. Doing the space VR is a must do. So much fun!
Fun for the entire family—especially if you’re space geeks like us!
Cruise Disembarkation day, we planned to rent a car from Budget, and head on over to KSC. I didnt anticipate a 2.5 hour ordeal from port to Budget! Everybody was getting a rental car that day. By the time we got the car it was already 1pm, and ksc closes at 5pm. So we had to pivot, and change our visit to the next day. Luckily, the tix have a 15 day flexible buffer so we didnt stress about losing the use of the ticket! We had a fantastic time at KSC, very awe inspiring and amazing what humans can achieve. P.s. I had already messed up my tix reservations the first time with a wrong date, and Gray Lines was able to make an adjustment for me easily. I really appreciate the customer service and flexibility.
Excellent time to spend with kids and explore all the wonders of space, technology and history. A lot of different activities to do with kids of all ages
Our visit to Kennedy Space Center was a lot of fun and very entertaining! My kids absolutely loved the experience, and it was a great family outing. The only downsides were that the gift shop prices were pretty high, and the lines for the buses were very long. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to ride the bus during our visit because it was simply too hot to wait in such a long line with kids and a baby. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend Kennedy Space Center to other parents looking for a fun and educational place to take their children. 🚀❤️
Very crowded we had to queue for about 1 and a half hours for the bus tour, when you get off at each stop you have to wait and queue again to get back on the buses for another half hour, lots of queueing! Some interesting facts and amazing to see Atlantis and the rockets . Shuttle launch experience was over very quickly too. Food limited
It is what it says it is and for young kids you are definitely going to the play area as they won’t have too much fun elsewhere other than Fraggle rock . As for adults, plan for the day, by the time you have done the tour and a few other things 6pm will fast approach. We had a wheelchair adult in our group and the buses are few and far between to get one for the tour so add another hour on what would have been 15 minute wait for a tour bus … that is what it is so not a complaint just guidance. Here’s what it needs: some 3/4D experiences a few rollercoasters all space themed and it’s a home run. For educational purposes and awe of seeing the shuttles it is a to do item in Florida.
We had an absolutely wonderful day at Kennedy Space Center! Our family group included grandparents, parents, and grandchildren, and it truly was an experience that had something for every generation. There is so much to see and do, and it’s incredible to be standing in a place where so much history has been made. Seeing the Space Shuttle Atlantis up close was breathtaking, and the Saturn V and Apollo exhibits really brought the history of the space program to life. For the grandchildren, there were plenty of exciting, interactive experiences that kept them interested and entertained throughout the day. What made the visit especially memorable was being able to experience it together as a family. The grandparents remembered many of these historic moments as they actually happened, the parents appreciated the history and technology, and the grandchildren got to discover the excitement of space exploration for themselves. The entire complex was well organized, educational without ever feeling boring, and easily filled our whole day. We left tired but very happy, with lots of photographs, great memories, and plenty to talk about on the way home. Kennedy Space Center is so much more than just an attraction — it’s an experience. We would absolutely recommend it for families of all ages, and especially for a multi-generational family day
Absolutely amazing to see the technology, meet an astronaut and talk with him about his life experiences. The simulators were great. Space history wonderful and future plans so exciting!
An excellent experience regarding the evolution of putting humans on the Moon—with its many challenges—as well as what lies ahead with Artemis and the prospect of living on the Moon and Mars. STEM applied in its maximum details
When you get there, make sure you book a tour the bus tour if you can afford it, we suggest the extended one. Make it a priority to go to the Atlantis exhibit. They also have a ride there, that’s pretty cool not too scary at all. Learn all about America’s trips to the moon and beyond!
Was the best experience of our lives, so amazing to see rockets and shuttles up close and personal, I loved the reinactment of the landing on the moon. was magical. The kids loved it as well. Loved that it was educational and connected history to the current excitement of the moon and space travel and science. Showed our kids that anything is possible. Dream big, Dream hard and love the journey.
You have to walk a lot and you will be outdoors much of the time. Go when the weather is cool. The exhibits and shows are excellent.
My husband and I enjoyed it. It was very educational. We loved the virtual reality stuff. It was really great and funny so good that we didn’t even eat anything until we left.
I learned a lot about space. Very informative and the simulator was a great experience. Made me think futuristically.
Excellent. We paid for the 2 hour Explore tour. Worth it to skip the regular bus lines. Really interesting for the adults, slightly too boring for a 6 yr old unless they are space obsessed. But the whole place is just so well done, especially the shows and videos. Highly recommend.
Enjoy the tour and the museums
Great Day. If space is of interest you’ll love it. Only advice is that there’s a lot to see - get there early and assume a full day of exploration
Very interesting about the initial Moon program, however lacking the last 55 years of missions. Space Shuttle should have had more and so should the Attimus II mission. Bus tour…2+ hours of waiting and driving between 2 sites and main area.
There was so much to do we didn’t get it all accomplished! I highly recommend taking the family there and enjoying the experience of the and VR! Will go back
I was an unforgettable experience for my husband and me.
Great for a hot day because mostly you are indoors. Except for the bus tour line you are out of the sun and seeing cool things.
We loved visiting Kennedy. The whole experience was wonderful. The history of NASA was fascinating and arranged in a fantastic way.
this gives a voucher (not the actual ticket) which needs to be converted into scannable tickets at the ticket counter. Doesn't seem like there is any cost benefit compared to buying at the counter.
I grew up in SW Florida, so I visited KSC several times growing up, but I didn't remember it super well. Last year I went for the first time as an adult and loved it so much I had to upgrade to an annual pass! As everyone else says you CAN'T miss the bus tour. It brings you to Launch complex 39 and the Saturn V/ Apollo centers, but it's also a GREAT way to experience the wildlife on Merritt Island (we saw a giant alligator crossing the pathway for the rocket crawlers!!). There are a few viewfinders on top of the gantry that give you great views of other launchpads and some pretty cool birds in the area. My absolute FAVORITE exhibit to visit is the Shuttle Atlantis building- it starts off with a very cheesy, yet effective, video of past shuttles and ends with a stunning view of the Atlantis herself. There IS a slide that is meant to "simulate" what it's like to be a shuttle landing from outer space and I'm telling you now that the static shocks are worth it to race your friends down the slide. My friend and I went back up several times. If you're a fan of Disney parks style goofy preshow videos you will LOVE the Shuttle Launch Experience narrated by astronaut Charlie Bowden. It's silly, informative, and gets you really invested. I'm warning you now- you may think there's no way that simulator will tip you back as far as it says it will, but it does. It's still worth experiencing at least once! Inside of the Atlantis building, there is a tribute to the final Challenger and Columbia crews that perished in the pursuit of science. I recommend researching the accidents before you go through this exhibit because there is no information on them anywhere at KSC. The exhibit includes personal items from each crew member and in a room off to the side there are pieces of both shuttles. To my knowledge, this is the only place you can publicly view pieces of either shuttle. It's a humbling experience to see Columbia's cockpit windows and the side panel of Challenger, but one that I believe everyone should have. Lastly, I recommend sitting down for the astronaut presentations! They are free and happen twice a day. The KSC website has a calendar of who is visiting each day and after their presentations they do a meet and greet and will sign your items for free. I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Fred Gregory on a past trip and he signed my copy of "The New Guys" that I purchased in the Space Shop. They'll still sign items/ answer questions if you're not buying anything though!
Amazing tour and so much good information and fun things. We had no idea it was that awesome! Space is cool!
Our 13 year old Grandson was not sure what to expect when we surprised him with this on a trip together. He was all in and totally engaged as soon as we saw roe get garden on approach. We spent several hours there and all of us came away with awe of the program
Had a great experience at the Kennedy Space Center. Recommend going early to get a good parking spot. And getting in line for the bus tour as soon as you arrive.
Great experience! Very cinematic and educational. A must do while in Orlando in Florida. Highly recommend
Went all out on my first trip... Got the "Fly with an Astronaut" ticket. Got to tour with Commander Ken Cameron with a small group of people. It was amazing and I can't wait to go back! 🤩 🚀
Awesome. We liked it so much, we are going again.
This is our 5th time visiting orlando and we've always left the space center trip out to do the other parks, can't believe we done that as this park is stunning, it's clean so interesting and so much to see and do, we done the bus trip as soon as we got there in the morning as it take just over 2 hours, all the bus drivers were very helpful and had some funny jokes, loved the rocket and memorial garden, had lunch which was part of the ticket and was ok, but the best thing I think I've ever seen in my life was when they lifted the screen and atlantis was hanging from the roof, it's huge and we all loved seen it, definitely will come back to Kennedy space center in the future
My husband is so interested in Space and travel, I, not so much. But I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the exhibits, the videos and experience. Would highly recommend.
A wonderful tour. So much to see and to learn and a full day may not be enough. Get there at 8:30 when parking opens and wear your walking shoes!! Be prepared to wait for some exhibits. For me it was an excellent day!!
Many great attractions but would suggest to arrive early and do the bus tour first. Would not stay any longer than half an hour at the first bus stop
It was an all day sharing experience! Memories and history all together. My partner was like a kid in a sweet shop taking over 50 photos too! It was awesome thank you
Fantastic to see a working space station and had the added bonus to view a live rocket launch the evening before our visit
Must go and see. So much is happening between NASA, Space X, and Blue origin. Great partnership with private sector!
Just amazing, well worth doing. Need full day to get through park. We use uber to and from Orlando..
Never ever had such bad customer service right at the entrance gates. Some grumpy lady ruined my day by snapping at me and acting all “told you so” when I didn’t initially go through the correct gate. As a tourist, how am I supposed to know where to go if nobody gives proper directions. I can’t recommend this place to anyone — it completely ruined my day.
Great Experience, it's so friendly to physically disabled also, they have scooters and whealchairs, it's really amazing Experience.
Great excursion there’s a lot to see and do so keep everyone moving along or you’ll miss seeing things.
