I would highly recommend finding another vendor for your jet ski excursions in Key Largo. We booked an hour-long tour for my husband and son to celebrate my son’s birthday, but the experience was a massive disappointment from the start. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Kevin, who was incredibly unpleasant. He had a major attitude regarding the boaters license requirement. While we completely understand that safety regulations and licenses are necessary, his hostility was totally uncalled for—especially for first-timers just trying to have a nice family outing. Major issues we encountered: • Time Cut Short: Because of the time it took to handle the licensing (which was never clearly communicated beforehand), they cut our 60-minute ride down to only 30 minutes. • No "Tour" Provided: Despite booking a tour, Kevin gave no guidance or sightseeing. He simply told my husband where not to go and barked at him to be back in 30 minutes. • Poor Customer Service: Starting an excursion with someone so rude and dismissive is a huge turn-off and ruined the mood of the birthday celebration. The only saving grace was the Gilbert’s Resort itself, which is beautiful with fantastic servers. However, avoid Sunshine Jet Ski. There are plenty of other vendors in the area that actually value their customers and provide the service you pay for.

Huge area for riding and plenty of room to run the jet skis full speed. My wife and I had a great time.

Huge area to ride jet skis. Close to 3 miles with open seas and coves. The jet skis go up to 45mph which is plenty of speed of its calm waters.

Never been on a jet ski before was showed the basics and how to stay safe and then was able to have a blast one of the greatest experiences I've had would definitely recommend and will definitely have to do it again

Its a blast. Only takes about 15 minutes to get a good feel for the jet ski. Then top speeds of 45 mile per hour while gliding over the ocean. Fun time!

It was reserved on my wife's birthday, and the guy who met us there, started talking to us so rude and disrespectful. My wife's birthday was ruined and the whole day was horrible. We asked the guy why he was so rude, he said he just talks like this. My wife started crying and we left without getting a service. I would give 0 star or negative but 1 star is the lowest. I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you wanna get in the fight or wanna have a bad day. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 16 year old nephew rated this as his most favorite part of our Key Largo Vacation!! (He went on the back of a Jet Ski with his Uncle). Easy to book and Kevin was great at explaining everything before they set off. Had a great lunch after At Gilbert’s Resort.

We had something come up and couldn't make the scheduled date so called and called and called and left message after message to try to reschedule or cancel but no one ever answered or returned my calls. So we paid for 2 jet ski rentals but never got to do it. So wasted hundreds of dollars.

Overall, this was a good experience. However, I believe the booking details could be communicated more clearly. When we booked, it said “jet ski x2,” which led us to believe we were getting two jet skis, but it turned out we only received one. Additionally, we were unaware that Florida requires a boating license for anyone under 37, as this information wasn’t mentioned during the booking process. That said, the owner was very kind and helped us get everything sorted out. I just think the booking process could be improved for better clarity.

They have a very large riding area and it gives you plenty of room to cut loose. The owner was very accommodating and even helped us with photographs

I would highly recommend Sunshine Watersports. I reserved the jet skis online. Arrived at the site about 10 minutes early to complete the paperwork. The person working the jet skis was great and very helpful. This was my second time on a jet ski, so I didn't open it up too much (only got up to 41 mph), but my partner knew what she was doing. She said she was able to get to 70 mph. Only thing I would caution you on is on parking. The rental area is next to Gilbert's Resort. There is a small beach and a couple of great bars, one with live music. The beach and party folks park along the road leading up to the area. That can be over 1/2 mile away. There is a small parking lot near the jet ski rental. A couple of guys help with the traffic by the bar, so if you go, ask where to park and they will fit you in.

Had an absolutely amazing experience on our jet ski tour today with Sunshine Water Sports at Gilbert's Resort! The ride was thrilling, and the views were incredible. Our guide was the best, she said she was good at spotting marine life and SHE WAS! We got to practically play with Dolphins.—and she was super knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone was safe and had a great time. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an unforgettable adventure in Key Largo FL!

We had a blast riding the jet skis! But we advise you not to take them into shallow water because they will suck up plants and clog the engine. This happened to us, but we called the rental place and they gave us instructions on how to get the plants out. We had a really good time!

Truly an outstanding hour on the water! My wife and I have rented jet skis many times over the years and all over the Keys. This rental has to be rated at the top. The two jet skis were top notch. Kevin was on his game from start to finish, being appropriately safety oriented. The riding area is huge and we were the only two jet skis out there at noon on a Sunday. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful experience. The next time we are in Key Largo we want to do a jet skis tour with Sunshine Watersports after learning they tour individual parties and not mixed groups. Hooray for that!

The first time we booked a jet ski with this company my daughter was 7 years old. She loved it and now 6 years later we tried again and we didn’t get disappointed. Great experience and super easy process to book a jet ski

Sunshine was very responsive to my request to add to the party size. Well maintained jet skis with directions on where to explore. They’re located at Gilbert’s Marina so you have time to explore the marina, lounge on the beach, or dinner and drinks at the outdoor tiki bar and restaurant. Would definitely recommend!
