Quick museum trip, but some very neat items to see. Really liked some of the optical illusions and elaborate etched clothing design.

It was their Latin and Flamenco Night. For $15 per person we got to enjoy the Museum then listen and dance to flamenco music. The exhibits were fascinating.
Amazing! Best museum in the area! Highly recommend! We all loved it and the gift shop!
This was the perfect museum for me because I love glass and art. Every item was beautiful. The descriptions of each piece were readable and educational. The Museum layout was easy to follow. There was a scavenger hunt on the second floor, which made looking at the pieces more fun. The employees were very helpful and knowledgable.
Took advantage of the $5 Thursday after 5pm admission. Totally worth the $5 and the exhibit was really cool and there was even a scavenger hunt on the second floor throughout the exhibit when we were there. Besides the gift shop, check out the bakery goodies by the entrance (towards the back) had some veryyyyy delicious dessert and pastries (and free samples too).
It’s a unique and beautiful museum of modern glass art! They had a cute scavenger hunt for kids with tiny glass sculptures that was enjoyed by my 6 year old very much!
Imagine Museum, like the other principal museums of St Pete, is truly wonderful. It is well thought out, has beautiful exhibits that change periodically. I also very much enjoyed learning more about the history of glass. However, I was shocked, dismayed, and displeased that Imagine has a whole room on the second floor dedicated to a politcal figure with quotes in gold and images of him as well. It kind of ruined the experience for me and I wondered how they could even do this? I want to warn anyone going to Imagine Museum so that they are not taken by surpirse having to walk through a shrine to a very controversial political figure. It kind of ruined the whole thing! Is this a museum of the history and beauty of glass or is this a tribute to a politician?
Beautiful glass and inspirational displays. Stopped by on a day with a discounted entry due to parts being closed but there was plenty to see.
We were referred to this museum by friends who had previously visited, so we decided to check it out on our short trip to St. Pete. The works of art on the first floor were truly spectacular. We love glass art and some of the pieces displayed here were unlike anything we have seen before. The second floor was an entirely different story. Thee was an exhibit of aliens that was just weird and not anywhere near the level of artistry displayed on the first floor. But it got worse…an entire gallery supported by the supposedly “non-partisan” Freedom 250 organization was an embarrassingly tacky shrine to Donald Trump. Why this museum felt the need to dedicate space to a person who has done everything possible to destroy the arts in this country is beyond my imagination. Such an incredible disappointment.
This museum delves into the imagination. The works are fantastic. Everything from fine glass to imagination of outer space with glass works. So much talent in these pieces. We thoroughly enjoyed this museum and would recommend seeing it.
The museum is both beautiful and interesting. We couldn't resist buying a beautiful blown glass piece and some hand crafted earrings.
The glass art was spectacular, breathtaking. For many pieces, it was impossible to imagine how they were made and how long it took to make them. However, a room of Trump worship desecrated the enjoyment of the art. A person who is destroying the Smithsonian museum and has destroyed the Kennedy center seems antithetical to the free expression of art in a museum. I have visited art museums around the world and have never seen one corrupted by politics as this one was. Very disappointing.
Initially we were enthralled and inspired at the Imagine Museum in St Pete, FL. The history of glass from pre biblical times to the present was captivating. But then suddenly a disturbing and inappropriate insertion of a political figure was inserted into an otherwise delightful experience. Bringing a political figure into an otherwise inspirational and uplifting day was suddenly ruined. I would not recommend Imagine Museum and I will never go there again. Disrupting an art experience is not welcome. The other visitors, none of whom I knew, had a similar experience, and I heard many negative comments. To pay entry into this lovely museum, and then have your lovely day ruined by the sudden unexpected room dedicated to a political figure made the whole afternoon into an unpleasant day
The glass art is amazingly beautiful . There was a glass formal gown that was so realistic looking you just wanted to touch it but you knew you couldn’t .
The museum was extremely aesthetic and uplifting. The art and the artists are incredible. I left feeling great and more alive. Totally suggest it for everyone.
This museum in St. Petersburg is a delightful surprise, and we are glad to have chosen it over the Chihuly Collection based on TripAdvisor reviews. Prior our visits to the Seattle Chihuly Garden & Glass and a special exhibition in Arizona years ago, we decided to opt out the Chihuly. Despite its small size, the museum boasts an internationally diverse collection with a broad spectrum of themes and ambiance. We appreciated the opportunity to spend an afternoon exploring the museum. Unfortunately, the outdoor garden's renovation prevented us from seeing large art installations, and there is no on-site cafe, but numerous eateries are nearby. Photos attached showcase our experience. DO NOT skip anything, visit every room.
Unfortunately, we will never return. The museum’s focus is the creative use of glass which is well done until the they placed Donald Trump in four exhibits, including a plaque placed between Teddy Roosevelt and George Washington. This political statement was inappropriate to the museum’s purpose and was highly upsetting.
I have visited the museum several times and was in awe of the glass work. This time I was shocked by an exhibit which included Donald Trump as a person who respects our countries values and laws. The museum did not name the artist and explain the rationale for this being part of the exhibition This is the last time I will visit this museum In the lobby I met several other visitors who felt the same way
To really enjoy and read everything, plan for two hours. If you are short on time you could buzz through quickly in one hour but would miss some of the thoughtful quotes and information found throughout the exhibits.
Great experience. Took kids aged 12 and 9 and even they enjoyed it. They do have a scavenger hunt that kids can work on while looking at the glass. Great deal they were running is that all tickets are $5 if you go between 10-12 on Sundays. Plenty of free parking on the street out front or behind the museum. There are two floors of galleries. The first floor galleries have the best pieces and are just beautiful to look at. Hard to describe some of the pieces, so I would just say go and see for yourself. Takes about an hour to an hour and a half to see everything. Nice museum shop too.
I liked the museum, but I liked the more realistic pieces more than the modern. I expected this, though. If you enjoy contemporary art, you will like it. It's inexpensive and worth a visit. The gift shop had lots of nice things!
Such a wonderful place. We were not sure what to expect but every room took us to a different dimension of art. It was hard to believe these sculptures/artwork were made by humans. Please go and see this. It is worth the time and effort to spend a couple of hours in here.
This museum actually impressed me. It is a small museum, but with tons of stuff in it. And they have someone greeting as well. The glass exhibit and the aliens exhibit are all very interesting and fantastic! It is a great place for children and teenagers to visit!
Great museum . Was surprised because spent there more time then expected . Recommend to visit and enjoy. Unusual experience and place
Mesmerizing and spellbinding. I still find myself awestruck several hours later after visiting the Imagine Museum on whim as we passed through the area. I'm sure there are plenty more words in the local vernacular that can describe the incredibly gorgeous the works of art displayed at the Imagine Museum. There is a bit of a mystique to the museum upon approach - the subtle blue facade of the building gives it a bit of a playful aura, while appealing to the eye as it contrasts with the surrounding structures and roads. The venue has its own dedicated parking lot, with street parking available off Central Ave; you can enter the lot from 20th and 19th Streets, with one way entry from 1st Avenue. There are two entrances on either side of the building on the first floor and leads you into the admissions kiosk and gift shop respectively before you begin to see any of the galleries. Imagine Museum is incredibly community friendly and extremely price conscious. There are plenty of deals and opportunities that you can jump on when visiting the venue. There are also a calendar that sheds insights to events hosted by the museum. Entering the gallery area, we were greeted by a curator who did a great job at welcoming us as first-timers to the museum. It made the visit feel a bit more personal and inviting. Additionally, we were treated to a scavenger hunt game which made our visit with our kids even more fun; any bit of hesitation or doubts that our young children would be instantly bored was alleviated. Almost immediately, we were captivated by the various pieces and displays as we walked the different galleries. My descriptions simply will not do any justice in terms of the stunning art that you can see here. The variety and the flow of the various themes is so expertly detailed and organized with precision. The last time I felt so amazed by glass and crystal was at the Swarovski Museum in Innsbruck, Austria. Needless to say, Imagine Museum is a great showcase of art in general, and an inspiration across generations and dimensions. The venue is a great steward of art. The Imagine Museum is simply a must visit - it is truly a rose in a concrete jungle. Do yourself, your friends, and family a favor - take them to Imagine Museum to explore art in a way that it's meant to be enjoyed!
Extraordinary glasswork. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our time spent there.
Exceptional , the exhibits are amazing and informative . Downloading the audio tour is a must . !!!!!!!!!!!
Lovely way to spend a few hours. Museum was well laid out. We enjoyed the first floor more than the second but it was all interesting. Friendly and helpful staff and a small gift shop. Would have liked to have had a few more affordable options in the gift shop and a few more Chihuly exhibits in the Museum, but still very enjoyable.
