Hollywood Florida Walking Food Tour

Steve the guides did a good job with some facts about the city during the tour. Went to 5 restaurants. Nice to try a bunch of different things. Did NOT leave hungry.

Food tours are a great way to see the city, hear about the history and culture and eat at some of the best local restaurants and this one did not disappoint! Steve has been around Hollywood for a while so he was very knowledgable and easy to hang with for a couple hours. It was also a great variety of food and atmosphere.

Wow! This was a great way to try different types of cuisines that I normally wouldn’t be able to try. Every place had delicious food and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite. We even took some food back to the hotel! Talking and eating with Steve is like hanging out with an old friend - he is friendly, funny, personable, and gives you a history of the area. We made the short drive from Fort Lauderdale and so happy that we did!

Steve was a great tour guide and took us to all the right places! Our tour included 6 total stops, and we were not disappointed in any of them! The food is enough to fill you up and keep you full for a few hours. Our group even ended up with leftovers! If you want to taste some local cuisine in Hollywood and learn about some of the city’s history and landscapes, we highly recommend this tour!

Been on a number of food tours and this was one of the best. All the food stops were excellent. Steve did a great job Would definitely try one of the other tours if ever back in the area.

Me and my friend love to do food tours when we travel. This is by far one of the best that we have been on. Steve was wonderful, and brought us to five different restaurants. I would totally recommend this store. And come very hungry.

Steve was a great host for our food tour in downtown Hollywood. He is fun, informative and engaging. Steve has done a great job selecting restaurants and clearly has great relationships with owners and staff. We especially loved Krakatoa and meeting John, one of the co-owners, who spent time telling us the history of their restaurant. It was our favorite stop! Chilelmon was also fantastic. We were so happy to have spent a couple of hours exploring the local restaurants with Steve!

What a great experience! We had 9 people for a class reunion and decided on this Walking Food Tour. Our host, Steve, did a fantastic job educating us on the Hollywood area and introducing us to the local food scene. We stopped at restaurants that many of us would have passed by. The food at all of the stops was superb. I would highly recommend this.

Good way to taste the food at local establishments. It was a lot of food! Took home our desserts. Will definitely go back to some of the restaurants.

Steve did a fantastic job giving us a truly fun and catered food tour! Even though this my 11th food tour, I got more food on this tour than any other tour. A special mention is that Steve was very open to catering to a vegan diet, which I think was great since all of the other food tours in the area specifically said “no”. You won’t regret this tour, do it!

I wanted to give my family an experience (and not materialistic things) as a Christmas gift. So, I booked the Hollywood walking food tour for 6 of us (my hubby, son, daughter-in-law, daughter, daughter's boyfriend, and me) for the day after Christmas. We met our guide, Steve, at "The Greek Joint Kitchen & Bar." We started our eating there with warm bread accompanied by seasoned dipping olive oil, tzatziki on cucumber, and Greek-style pork ribs with lemon roasted potatoes. It was the best of the five places that we visited, and we are definitely going back. I know the eateries may differ, but a variety is offered and special attention is paid to food allergies and such. (We had someone with a peanut allergy and my pregnant daughter-in-law who could not drink alcohol.) During the walk from place to place, Steve regaled us with some history about the city of Hollywood and pointed out a few interesting spots. It was definitely an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Next was "My Favorite Spot," an Asian fusion eatery that sports custom food bowls. We were served a chicken bowl, with a tray of 8 sauces to chose from, a garlic shrimp, and a queso frito. Our third stop was at "ChileLimon" where we had meat tacos on the best corn tortillas. Along with the savory item we sipped margaritas and coconut lemonade (for the non-alcoholic drinkers). Then we headed to "Verocca Sweet & Salty House" where we had (salty) empanadas and alfajors (sweet sandwich cookies). I guess the empanadas are supposed to be salty (hence the name of the eatery), but they were too salty for me. Others in the group liked them. We all loved the (dulce de leche, guava, nut) sandwich cookies. Our final stop was "Chocolada," where we each chose one dessert and a cookie but took them home because we were too full to eat anymore. During the walk from place to place, Steve regaled us with some history about the city of Hollywood and pointed out a few interesting spots. It was definitely an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Plenty of delicious food, come hungry! Steve was a great tour guide with a lot of great tips! Highly recommend you book on your first night so that you have time to go back to enjoy your favorite restaurant.

Steve is so knowledgeable about the area and food locations. My only issue was there wasn’t more places to go. The food was great. The people running their establishments were amazing. One of the best tours in general I’ve been on.

We left well fed after an entertaining evening. If you are vacationing I suggest you book at the beginning of your stay so you have a chance to revisit your favorites. Highly recommend this tour.

6 of us Traveled to Hollywood Florida from Atlanta, to attend food walking tour. We had a great time last year. When we arrived at Greek Joint this year, it was closed for 4th of July

Highly recommend this tour! My husband and I had a wonderful time with Steve and our small group visiting the different local restaurants. The food was amazing and everyone at each stop was extremely friendly. It was the perfect start to our time in Hollywood.

This was a great tour. Lots of great information and our guide/host was so very nice. It was just my wife and I so it was perfect. The food was great - loved the fun cookies at the end!

We are return guests. We brought along some friends who are already planning to bring more of our gang next time. You will definitely be filled, we took home leftovers. And we got to try some things that we probably never would have ordered on our own. It helped to expand our palate.

This is a really fun and easy paced food tour. The walk was very nice and we saw lots of artwork along the way to each restaurant and at some of the restaurants. The food samples we tried were all amazing and we were stuffed by the end of the tour! Thankfully we were able to take our desserts to go! The guide, Steve, is very knowledgeable and really enjoys showing off the area.

Even though we were late due to traffic, we texted and was told not to worry. We had a great time visiting 5 different restaurants. The food was very good at all the locations. It was just my husband and I on the tour so it was a very personalized experience. The amount of walking was very manageable. My favorite siop was the first stop where we had Greek ribs.

Steve was a wonderful guide and pointed out history and art in the Hollywood area. Restaurants were great - both food and the people. Will tell my friends!

This fantastic food tour allowed us to sample delicious dishes from multiple restaurants around historic downtown Hollywood. Steve was very personable, knowledgeable and well connected in the local restaurant community. Going on Steve's tour at the beginning of our vacation inspired return visits to most of the stops for full meals and fun entertainment. Warning: the portions are well above just a tasting so come hungry😋

Fantastic walking food tour with Steve! He was very friendly and knowledgeable, sharing facts about the area as we strolled from restaurant to restaurant. Great way to highlight the local food scene and learn about Downtown Hollywood! Steve was really great, professional, friendly and accommodating. My husband and I enjoyed all the food we got to try: Greek, Argentinian pastry and tea, Peruvian fusion and Romanian dessert! Highly recommended! We’ll try the other food tours that Steve offers for next time!

Our second food tour with Steve and even better than the first. Steve is such a great host and knows everyone and everything there is to know about the food scene in Hollywood. We went back to some favourites from our first tour (ChileLimon and The Greek) and Steve took us to a couple of new places too. This colorful culinary adventure exceeded every expectation. Steve curated a mix of five local gems with a “best of” tasting menu at each. We also met chefs, mixologists and two business owners to hear their stories, inspiration and hopes for the future. The food and drink pairings were all incredible, especially Krakatoa, Vintage, ChileLimon and Gioia. Great experience.

This food tour was literally the highlight of our Florida beach vacation. We are still talking about it. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable. 10/10 recommend!!

Our tour with Steve was excellent. He is very personable and knows the area. We hit 5 different restaurants within a few blocks, each offering unique dishes for us to taste. We received larger portions than we have had on most food tours we have done, so we were very full and had no need for dinner. We can't really say we had a favorite as that is like comparing apples to oranges. We loved the wine bar where we had grilled artichokes and a brie wheel. Excellent! The Greek restaurant where we began served amazing ribs and potatoes, as well as delicious bread with their specialty olive oil, and tatziki on a cucumber slice with mirro greens and a edible flower. Chicken Birria street tacos we so tasty; beware of their picantr sauce (you have to ask for it) as it is very hot (I love heat). Redwood served an Amuse Bouche of a small salmon cake with a very tasty slaw the chef created. I don't recall.the proper name for the 2nd dish, but it was braised pork over a fried plantain topped with that slaw and a sauce of some sort. Last stop was a vegan bakery where we made our cupcake selections and brought them home as we couldn't eat another bite. Do this tour if you are a foodie or are just willing to step out of your comfort zone. Steve said he doesn't know what each restaurant will serve, so it is a surprise to him each time, too. Our adult daughter was with us and she loved it.

My childhood friends spent an amazing day with Steve! Went to great restaurants with amazing food and drinks. Steve is very fun and knowledgeable about the history of Hollywood. Can’t wait to do it again!!!

The tour operator, Steve, is a great people-person and quite knowledgeable about the local history and culinary scene. We made five (5) stops and had outstanding food everywhere. There was so much good food and we were so full there was no need to have dinner. We’ve participated in many, many food tours in the U.S. and overseas. This was one of the best. There were six of us for our tour and it was awesome! The restaurants Steve chose were great and he did an amazing job telling us about each of them and about the history of the surrounding area. We all loved it and highly recommend taking the tour.
