Half-day Trip From Key West With Kayaking, Snorkeling & Sunset

Joe and Conner did a wonderful job with our trip. They were very knowledgeable, respectful, and helpful in all aspects of the trip. The destination was incredible as was the experience. For the price, it is a tremendous value in my opinion. I would definitely do another trip with Danger Charters and highly recommended them!

The half day snorkel, kayaking and sailing excursion was AWESOME! Our 2 guides were friendly, knowledgeable and provided great service. There was so much packed into this half day experience. We learned a ton about Key West's history and saw amazing wildlife in both the snorkeling and kayaking portions of the trip. And we capped it off watching an incredible sunset as we sailed back. We highly recommend this company and experience!!

Booked this as a surprise for our anniversary and although it had to be pushed back another day- it was a super easy process and they offered other options if the excursions I wanted weren’t available or to provide a full refund. The actual excursion as amazing and wonderfully captained by Marie and guided by Lauren/ Kaylee. They were excellent hosts, kept us engaged throughout the trip, and made us feel safe. The boat was clean and they provided clear and direct expectations/ rules from the guests. The guided kayak tour from Kaylee proved to be educational & fun all wrapped in one! It was such a beautiful and relaxing moment of the trip. I would highly recommend booking with Danger Charters and getting to meet these lovely ladies!

Last minute booking that exceeded expectations. Our boat only had six customers, captain Travis and family rdt mate Trevor were attentive and made it a fine evening. For what you pay for and time on the boat, well worth the money for the experience. Snorkel time and kayaking were great and finalized by a sunset cruise.

The crew was great thumbs up for Daniel Travis, and Ed. We snorkel road kayaks and had a sunset cruise back home. We were chasing the storm, but we beat it.

The crew was phenomenal and very attentive. We saw a lot of the local wildlife and learned a lot about the ecosystem too!

What a great time ! The kayaks were great. I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the seat were as other times I have used a kayak the sets were terribly uncomfortable. Lexie was an awesome guide and first mate. She worked her butt off to help Captain Joe give an awesome afternoon. The snorkeling was really cool. The friend we were with had been snorting several other times & places and agree this was one of the best they had experienced, Overall wonderful day !!!

We had a blast with Joe and Trevor. They were very helpful and funny. The group we had were all strangers at first but we had the best time. The sunset was awesome!

Joe and Trevor were the best! Trevor waited on us hand and foot. Always making sure we had food and drinks . Sunset was beautiful. Snorkeling was an adventure and kayaking was peaceful. If you like fun then book this adventure.

What an outstanding experience with Captain Joe and Connor. We had originally booked the sunset and kayaking trip and we were called in the morning and asked if we could bring it forward by an hour, not an issue. Check in was easy, we arrived 30 mins early as directed and had to wait for the captain, no issue. Captain Joe and Connor couldn’t do enough for us on the boat, both were knowledgable and pointed out items of interest on the way. Snorkelling was great, they had loads of equipment including noodles for those who weren’t strong swimmers… first thing I did was drop my flipper in the water 🤷‍♀️ Connor to the rescue, flipper retrieved and off we went to do some amazing snorkelling. Connor was in the water too and pointing out where all the fish were, seen some gorgeous fish! Later on we stopped at a sandbank, and could kayak if we wished, we went with Connor round the island and stopped on a sandbank in the middle of nowhere, again Connor was talking us all about the mangroves, and the wildlife. Then we were able to float around the sandbank for a while, before the trip back which we had the most stunning sunset, then just before we docked, the dolphins came up to say hello… almost as if they were paid to pop up at that exact time… stunning! Nobles were served on board and there was plenty of drinks to go round, no alcoholic drinks until after snorkelling which seems very sensible to me. I honestly couldn’t recommend it enough.. it was an absolute highlight of our trip to key west.

OMG!! What an amazing experience! It started out on a beautiful sailboat. Enjoyed some local fruit on our way to the reef! My family loved the snorkel at the beautiful Lighthouse Reef! Our crew member, Lexi, guided us out to see lots of colorful fish. Safety was a priority throughout the entire day, above and beyond. Great for beginners or any experience level. Capt. Joe made sure everyone enjoyed the day! Enjoyed a lunch with a variety of offerings and drinks! Next was the Kayaking at the mangroves! Absolutely beautiful! We kayaked with Lexi over the calm clear beautiful waters into the mangroves on an island. Learned a little history, saw beautiful birds, and the very best......found some live conch! It was incredible! The adventure continued on a beautiful sail back to the dock! A fun filled family day that we will NEVER forget! Priceless experience! The crew was top notch! Safety was always a priority! The crew made it a fun experience and although we spent hours with them, we didn't want it to end! DO NOT MISS OUT!! AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! Had a great time. Staff was professional, insightful, always making sure we were safe and having fun. Being on a sail boat was a nice change than a motorized boat. Though it was a smaller group than other tours, I enjoyed the personal attention. Perfect for a large family. Perfect amount of time was given for snorkeling, kayaking and the sunset cruise. Cloud coverage blocked the full sunset but it was still a great view out on the water. Would highly recommend this company!

This was a great because it is on a smaller sailboat and has a twenty limit on passengers. We only had nine so a very personal experience. Good combo of snorkeling and kayaking! Snacks and drinks were plentiful!

The adventure was incredibly fun. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable; learned many things about the area and the history. It couldn't have been better!

The boat goes very slowly and you spend the bulk of the tour getting to the destinations instead of at the destinations enjoying them. A regular boat would have taken 10 minutes to get to the sand bar and this one took an hour and a half. We only spent 30 minutes snorkeling and 30 at the sand bar. There is also no music playing so it was a very boring boat ride and uncomfortable as you are sitting on a bench. We were told there was a “medical emergency” so we had to leave the sand bar and go all the way back to the port to drop off a drunk dehydrated lady. Tours should not be changed to accommodate drunk people. There was definitely no medical emergency. At this point we decided to cut our losses and get off too as we didn’t want to be stuck on the slow boat any longer. Unless you like wasting your precious vacation time on a slow moving boat that just sails and don’t care about enjoying time in the water, skip this tour.

Great experience!! A squared (Anna and Anthony) did an amazing job keeping it fun, hype, yet relaxing to enjoy some snorkeling and kayaking in Key West. My husband and other friends really enjoyed it.

We chose the sunset sail that included snorkeling and kayaking, and it exceeded every expectation we had. Captain Anna and First Mate Anthony were absolutely outstanding. The food and drinks were excellent, the boat was comfortable, and Captain Anna and Anthony made the entire trip feel like an adventure with friends rather than a typical tourist excursion. We are a particularly active and hungry group, so next time we will bring additional snacks. When we think back on our time in Key West, this experience will always be one of our favorite memories. We can't thank Captain Anna and First Mate Anthony enough for making our day so special. This was a fantastic experience! The captain and crew were friendly and thoughtful and made the trip effortless. It wasn’t an inexpensive trip, but it was worth the splurge! Snacks and drinks and equipment are all included. And the small number of guests aboard makes it easy to get to know the others—we made some friends on the trip! Captain Joe, Laura, and Trevor made this my daughter’s and my favorite vacation experience yet!

100% recommend using this company! They were beyond amazing! You get a smaller, personal experience with a boat that has a maximum of 20 people unlike other companies that have massive boats crammed with a ton of people on them. We booked a private charter for our family and friends to renew our wedding vows. This day was perfect! Captain Joe, Morgan and Dani were top notch. They made sure everyone was taken care of from drinks to food to snorkeling and time at the sand bar. Our family and friends raved about the food bust especially the customer service! Snorkeling was great we had ages from 4 to 71. Some of our friends stayed on the boat and were treated to by seeing a sea turtle swim by. We could not have asked for a more perfect day!

Very professional operation. Everything was clearly explained and then everything happened just as it was explained. There was plenty of water and drinks available. There is some shade on the boat for those of us not wanting too much sun. The crew did very well taking care of us.

The crew was WONDERFUL - knowledgeable, fun, quick to make sure we were having a great time. Kayaked around the mangroves and saw lots of birds, horseshoe crab, and sea turtles. Snorkeled for a bit and saw several small fish, lobster, and sponges. Snacks and COLD drinks were great!

We saw a hammerhead shark, rays, barracuda, and tons of vibrant reef fish. They provided all the gear we needed, including fins, masks, and even the anti-fog solution.     •    Outstanding History Lesson: The historical learning section of the tour was simply outstanding and deeply informative.     •    Impeccable Service: They kept us perfectly hydrated the entire time, and the fresh fruit service arrived right on cue.     •    Rain or Shine Fun: Even when it rained heavily and other boats packed up and left, Captain Joe kept the fun going! The water stayed warm at our second stop, a warm water sandbank. It was 4th of July, so we listened to/sang patriotic songs while  the ladies made it even more magical by getting the drinks to us.❤️ Chips and sauce followed on our way back to the shore. When I booked, I didn’t realize how gorgeous the boat was going to be; we were on Sara and she’s not a generic, plastic boat like you see all around ~ the complete opposite actually, a handsome, unique sailboat like straight out of a movies (or Pinterest board, if Pinterest did boats). The captain and crew (Joe, Katie and Rocky) were incredibly knowledgeable, fast to assist, and paid attention to every little detail. (Katie even made and played her most epic playlist, giving our day impeccable vibes) We made fast friends with everyone on the boat, one of the best days of my life, ending with dolphins surrounding us! This was my 25th anniversary and my wife was so happy. We also kayaked and snorkeled in the ocean. The sunset was beautiful. I would highly recommend adding this cruise to your itinerary.

Snorkeling in deeper water which can be very difficult everyone should be in relatively good shape before they take on this experience.

I took this excursion with my teenager. We both had a great time. I hadn’t snorkeled in a long time and appreciated the instructions to refresh my memory. The crew showed us a good time, kept us hydrated, brought out snacks, and pointed out interesting bits of information. This was one of the highlights of our trip overall. I would do it again in a heartbeat if we’re ever back this way!

Our group of seven booked the afternoon Sunset Cruise during our girls trip to Key West, and we all agreed it was a highlight of our trip! I loved how much time we got to spend snorkeling, and we saw some fantastic fish. Kayaking through the mangroves and spotting turtles was a lot of fun. The crew even stayed out a little later than promised to ensure we got to see the full, gorgeous sunset from the water. The crew was thoughtful, attentive and a lot of fun.
