We had the most amazing experience with Captain Kerrick! We called in the morning with a long shot of booking a tour as it was the last day of our trio and we were accommodated for a private tour of shelling and the dolphins that afternoon at 3:00. Capt. Kerrick was so nice and knowledgeable. The day couldn't have been more perfect to wind down the last day of our trip. I highly recommend the tour and ask for Captain Kerrick.

We went on the early morning shelling and dolphin tour. We were in Florida to celebrate our daughter's/granddaughter's 7th birthday, It was lovely. We had dolphins jumping in the wake of the boat and we found beatiful shells. It was a pleasure to have Captain Kerrick. We really thought about going back the following day - but we had a sand castle to build and decorate with all the beautiful shells.

First attempt was rained out. Company recommended replacement day which worked out great.

This was an amazing day. Paul S was our guide. We felt comfortable right from the start. He was really knowledgeable about the boat, the waterways and the wildlife that we saw along the way. We were also able to see some dolphins playing… Paul was able to get us very close. He knew his stuff. It was a great three hour tour. Best I think I’ve been on. I would definitely book again when I return to Naples for another visit.

We had such a great time on our 3-hour private shelling tour with Captain Jamie! She took us to a couple of islands that aren’t easily accessible, which made the shelling experience even more fun and unique. We found some great shells and really enjoyed getting to explore areas we wouldn’t have been able to visit on our own. One of the absolute highlights was watching the dolphins jump and play in the wake behind the boat — such an amazing experience! Captain Jamie was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared lots of information about the local area, wildlife, and shelling throughout our trip. We really enjoyed our afternoon and would definitely recommend Captain Jamie and Sand Dollar Shelling to anyone looking for a fun, private shelling excursion!

Wonderful experience! Directions to the pickup location were easy and clear. Our Captain was Paul S and he was a wealth of knowledge, patient with our boys and let them drive the boat. We found dolphins which was a pleasure to see but despite his best efforts they were not in the mood to play behind the boat, but it was definitely not for a lack of trying. Thank you Paul for a great time and fun family memories made!

If you’re looking for the best shelling tour in Southwest Florida, this is it! Donna and I did the 3-hour shelling and sand dollar tour with Captain Paul out of Goodland, and it exceeded every expectation. Captain Paul took us to an incredible shelling spot that was absolutely loaded with beautiful shells and sand dollars. You could tell he knows exactly where to go, and he made sure everyone had plenty of time to explore. The highlight was the dolphins! Captain Paul was amazing at getting them to come over and play alongside the boat. Watching them interact with us was an unforgettable experience. Captain Paul is friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly loves what he does. If you’re visiting the Naples, Marco Island, or Goodland area, I can’t recommend this tour enough. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful morning shelling! We found so many beautiful shells! Our captain Jamie gave us so much information on the eco system of the area, and had a great shell guide (showing and naming actual shells) before we started our adventure. And the dolphins were the icing on the cake. Our morning tour had the island to ourselves 3 hours was the perfect amount of time for us. Highly recommend, families couples groups visiting the area- great value-we are adult locals and it was a great “staycation” trip!

We took a 3 hour tour to Keeywadin Island and had the island all to ourselves at low tide! Captain Kerrick did a great job with our tour… we had the beach to ourselves, saw dolphins and found some beautiful seashells!

This is our 3rd shelling adventure with Sand Dollar shelling. Kerrick and Veronica were amazing. They were very knowledgeable and helped us identify birds, animals, and shells. Every time we come to Marco we do this adventure.

Our guide was absolutely amazing and allowed us to spend time with the dolphins and explained the natural settings. She had tons of experience and would recommend!

Captain Paul S. was amazing! He was interactive with our kids and super knowledgeable. He took time to explain everything and no question was too simple. He was able to find a pod of dolphins and really allowed our group time to connect with them. He also walked the shores with us when we were shelling and explained each shell we found and would encourage our kids to find the unique ones. He didn’t rush us at all and even though it was not a sunset tour, he offered to stay to watch the sunset and really made us feel comfortable the entire time. Thank you Capt Paul!

This trip was awesome! Paul S was our captain. Safety was his top priority and made the trip very fun. He helped find and identify the shells. The best shells we have are the ones he found. Highly recommend!

We had Captain Paul S and can I just say he was fabulous, the best!!!! I think that is one of my favorite days EVER. We saw lots of dolphins and had some fun with them. We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Paul S. from Sand Dollar Shelling! From the very beginning, Paul went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our group was comfortable—especially my mom. He thoughtfully recognized that she might have difficulty getting on and off the boat, so he kindly offered to take us out on his boat, which had steps that made it much easier for her. That small gesture made a huge difference. The boat itself was well-equipped, with a dry cooler for our belongings and a separate cooler stocked with ice and water. We even brought along a small lunch, which fit perfectly. On the way to the island, we were lucky enough to spot dolphins, and Paul happily paused so we could watch them as they hunted—such a memorable moment! Once we arrived, Paul guided us to a spot overflowing with beautiful shells. It truly felt like a hidden treasure. He also made sure my mom was comfortable by allowing her to bring a folding chair, so she could rest whenever needed. Knowing the boat was always accessible gave us all peace of mind to explore at our own pace. Everything about the day was just perfect—the weather, the boat, the shells—but most of all, Paul himself. He was an incredible host who made our experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

We had a gorgeous boat ride out to a great shelling spot. Found lots of cool shells....some living (very educational) but put back and some to keep for treasure. On the ride home we learned about various sea birds and had some dolphins swim along with our boat. It was an amazing day

Over the past 20 years I've been on 15 trips like this. This is the first time our captain, Doug, interacted with the dolphins. It was fantastic. They played with us and our pictures are speculation. Highly recommend Sand Dollar Shelling.

Excellent experience with Sand Dollar and Capt Paul S! I took my 7 yr old daughter and 72 yr old mother and it was perfect for everyone. We saw many dolphins and collected more shells than we can count. Paul was amazing with my daughter, helping her to find things on the beach and even offering his own windbreaker when she got cold on the ride home. Beautiful scenery, a comfy boat and a great, memorable activity. If you’re looking for a fun experience that doesn’t take a full day, I’d highly recommend San Dollar.

We left each session with bags of high quality shells, happy faces, and incredible memories. Good trip for a family. Saw dolphins a soon as we left the dock. Had other dolphins follow us soon after. And the shelling was fun.

Did not enjoy at all. I have been on other tours and this is the bottom of the barrel. Had to sit on coolers the entire ride. Captain headed straight to shell on the island. Would not have even seen the dolphins if someone did not point it out. Seriuosly way better tours out there.

We were engaged in Marco Island last February on a shelling/sunset tour and returned to get married on the same tour. Captain Paul and First Mate Veronica could not have made our experience any better! They took us to our exact location of the proposal and saw to our every need! It was simply beautiful. We had a beautiful day on the water with Captain Jayme and First Mate Veronica. We got to see lots of dolphins and watch them play in the wake of our boat. We also spent a couple of hours shelling at low tide and had amazing success finding Lighting Welch’s, Banded Tulips, lots of Fl Fighting Conchs and many many small varieties. They shared lots of knowledge with us and made the whole day one to remember.

What a glorious day out on the water! The hosts were absolutely fantastic and we really enjoyed our tour, seeing many dolphins right up close and finding SO many lovely shells! The company were so friendly and accommodating and despite our scheduled captain being unwell they went above and beyond to find a replacement and make sure we got our full experience which we were so appreciative of. We had the best shelling experience. We found so many good shells and we saw more than 10 dolphins. We had some follow the boat and jump up multiple times. Our guide Paul S. knew so much about the shells and birds and dolphins. He also went out of his way to bring an item we left on the boat back to our hotel. He was so thoughtful and nice. I would recommend this shelling experience to anyone. It is worth every penny.

Dolphins were meant to be a bonus - but we had such a good time getting them to play in our boat wakes and Paul was skilled at getting us near them. It was truly the best. He also took us to a few decent (not crowded) beaches to search for shells. He was knowledgeable and we really enjoyed our afternoon.
