Our private boat tour with this company in Key West was absolutely incredible. The scenery was breathtaking—endless turquoise waters, dolphins swimming right beside us, and even rays gliding through the waves. But the highlight was the sandbar: a slice of paradise with powdery white sand, crystal-clear water, and tiny crabs scuttling around. It felt like stepping into a dream. A huge thank you to the entire team, the captains, and especially the owners, Eric and Alexandra. Their professionalism, kindness, and dedication made the experience even more special. It’s rare to meet people so passionate about what they do. Thanks to them, this day has become one of the most cherished memories of our lives. it’s a unique adventure you absolutely must try !

This boat tour exceeded all my expectations. The scenery was breathtaking, with turquoise waters and endless horizons. What a joy it was to see dolphins so close to the boat, swimming freely around us! Their presence made the experience even more special. One thing I truly loved was having this private moment — it really added so much quality to the whole tour. It made the experience feel even more intimate, peaceful, and special. And then there was the sandbar… A paradise of white sand, crystal-clear water, fish, and little crabs. I had to pinch myself to believe it was real. It was so beautiful that I had a hard time leaving that place. A huge thank you to the whole team for their professionalism and kindness. Thanks to you, this day has become one of the most beautiful memories of my life. I highly recommend everyone to experience this unique adventure!

I watched dolphins and stingrays up close, snorkeled with sharks, hung out on the sandbar and had the best boat tour of Key West all in a 3 hour time span! THIS IS THE BEST DECISION YOU WILL EVER MAKE ON YOUR VACATION! It will change the way you see Key West once they take you on this charter! Alexandra and Eric were amazing. The tour was exactly and described, nice day on the water, stopping in a couple of spots to snorkel and chill. We are a group of 6 with 4 teenagers girls enjoying last days together before heading to College. The captain Melany was fantastic and made our day special. Strong recommend the company and the Captain is a must!

We had the time of our lives with Captain Tim. He’s very knowledgeable about the ocean and the ecosystem along with the history of Key West. He took us to an area where our teens could snorkel comfortably and feel very safe since they were beginners. They had so much fun on the sandbar, snorkeling and observing the starfish and crabs. I would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone! Captain Tim is so kind and friendly and funny and helpful! He will do everything make sure that you have a great time.

We had a great private charter. We were a party of 4 and saw a great variety of areas. Bit of a shame we don’t see dolphins but we still appreciated the scenery and hospitality

We had a fantastic time exploring the Key West area and seeing the Dolphins. Was so nice to be able to tailor the day to what our family enjoyed. The operator was extremely responsive and even helped get us back to our cruise boat with plenty of time to spare. Highly recommend!

This experience is absolutely worth it! The boat ride was excellent, and the crew was very knowledgeable about the history and the area. We saw some amazing sandbars and plenty of sea life while visiting numerous snorkeling spots. The places we explored were very private, and we rarely saw larger tour boats around us, making it even more special! Captain Eddie and Cam were fantastic guides, and we highly recommend this company and this experience in particular!

This trip was the best part of our vacation!! Exceeded everything we dreamed of! Captain Eddie and his wife were our boat captains, and they are just amazing. Gave us all the local story, told us about old reefs and shipwrecks! The waves were a little choppy… but they worked so hard to find us a sand bar so we could walk around on it… miles from shore and find conchs ( look don’t touch) , found a safe place for snorkeling , and found us dolphins! We loved the whole experience! 10 out of 10 recommend these two captains and this experience to anyone. It was our highlight… and I love how they treated us like family! We even had an infant and three year old with us!

HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP! We have a 2 and 6 y/o and they cannot stop talking about it. The captain started by asking what our goals were for the outing. We wanted to 1) see dolphins, 2) snorkel, 3) spend time at a remote sandbar, 4) anything else he recommended. We were able to accomplish all 4, and then some! We had a pod of dolphins swimming around and under our boat, which was amazing. We found a very shallow sandbar and decided to snorkel there, with our kids being young. We saw fish and found a large conch shell that our 6 y/o still talks about days later. We saw the remnants of a lighthouse in the middle of nowhere. And then ended the day watching the sun go down. Just breathtaking. Cannot recommend it enough. There were also a variety of sodas, waters, and snacks available which came in handy with little ones. A nice touch that we were glad to take advantage of while in the middle of the ocean. In summary... yes, it costs more to charter a boat, but the intimate atmosphere with just your family and friends around make it absolutely priceless. I'd pay triple the price to make these memories with my family, and not have 25 strangers in the background of each picture. Splurge once and you will know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.

Captain Tim was amazing. He will go anywhere you are in the mood for! We spent mosst of the afternoon at a sand bar, which was amazing! Then did a little snorkeling on the way home. Highly Recommend this place!! Would do again in a heartbeat!!

Great, laid back experience! There were small storms in the area but the boat captain maneuvered around them and managed to still show us a great time!

Dolphin Safari delivered once again. We have used this company multiple times over the years, and Captain Nikki provided a great experience to keep us coming back. While weather wasn’t perfect, we were able to snorkel as well as enjoy local wildlife and yes, dolphins too.

Captain Madison was amazing. It was a little chilly so we didn’t snorkel but we traveled a lot here and there and she was super solicitous of our comfort and safety. Also she knew a lot of facts and details about the different places in around the coastal areas we saw. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time on our tour. Our captain was TIm and he was the coolest! He asked what we were interested in and was very accommodating. We saw dolphins, jumped in at a sandbar and he even snorkeled with our kids to show them all the cool fish and coral on the reef. It was our favorite activity on our trip to Key West this year and will definitely do it again next year. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience with just 1 other couple. Our captain, Eddy, made sure we had the perfect afternoon! The sand and ocean was beautiful. I will not hesitate to book again if we return to key west!!

Captain Melanie was probably the best captain and tour guide I’ve had anywhere (… and not just in Key West!) We are a multigenerational family of 5, ages 3-68 years old. The tour was exactly as we’d hoped and Melanie found us SO MANY DOLPHINS! The memories and videos of our charter will last a lifetime. Thanks for the snacks, beverages and fun music, too. A truly magical experience. We asked our tour to include seeing dolphins and going to the sand bank. Both delivered and the experience didn’t disappoint, was amazing. Our tour Jeff, was amazing, so knowledgable, attentive and a pleasure to be around. We experienced the most spectacular dolphin show we could have ever wished for. We were so lucky, about 15 dolphins performed naturally, the only way they should in the ocean. The sand bank was fantastic, standing and swimming in the middle of the ocean. Such a life experience, loved every moment. Thank you!

In one word the experience was spectacular. The sand bar was from a dream, boat was pristine, Capt Jim was top notch. Love!

Okay, I'm not gonna write a novel, but this day was really too good. Tim the captain is cool, super interesting and he knows every corner of these waters. Dolphins, we've seen them three times! Every time, it was different, closer, more impressive. Snorkelling I'd done before but there the level was something else. Fish, dolphins, turtles... my brother Noah was shooting everything with his GoPro and the videos are crazy. Well I also spent a lot of time on a kind of floating mattress trying not to fall 😂. The sunset on the way back was really impressive and I’m not normally the type to get ecstatic about a sunset. In short, if you hesitate, hesitate more.

Well, I'm the one who booked so I'm relieved it's as well! 😄 Seriously, Captain Tim is a pro. Discreet when necessary, present when necessary. Three groups of dolphins at different times — not just a quick pass, we really watched them. The snorkeling spot was perfect, shallow, ideal for beginners but with enough marine life to amaze everyone — manta ray, turtles, lobster, wreck, messy fish. The sandbar with the swing suspended by two ropes from a tree feet in the water, I didn't expect it at all, really nice little bonus. The boys were busy all day between the lily pad, the duck and the ball. Sunny day, almost zero wind, it was perfect. The return with that pink sky over Key West... hard to do better. Second charter with them, we know what we do when we book already for next year.

Captain Tim was attentive with everyone, he felt when the children got impatient and always found something to keep them busy — the inflatable duck, the lily pad, the soccer ball... me meanwhile I enjoyed the sun quietly, it's rare on family trips! The dolphins we saw three different groups, I cried the first time so beautiful. Snorkelling in this shallow and transparent water, even I who am a beginner felt confident. Colorful fish, a manta ray, turtles... and a wreck! We ended up on a sandbar with a swing hooked by two ropes to a tree feet in the water, I even jumped on it, my sons couldn't believe it. The pink sunset on the way back... I just put my phone away and watched it with Luke. Second time with Dolphin Safari Charters. We'll be back next year, it's already booked.”
