This is a GREAT way to get a good feeling for all that Naples has to offer. Gave us a good launch point for what to do the next couple of days. For THAT reason, I would recommend this tour. BUT - there are some executional issues that should be addressed: 1) Don’t have the driver and the speaker narrator on at the same time. You can’t hear/understand either one and therefore get nothing! 2) What’s with the blasting music? I mean BLASTING?!? Don’t mind some background music, but really- don’t need to have music blasting - will say that the one guy who sings along is pretty entertaining… 3) Maybe have a narrator/driver that can clearly speak English? Couldn’t understand what the female driver was saying- especially as she was talking over the recorded narrator 4) we waited 20 minutes for a pick up at one of the stops. That’s a lot of time sitting out in the Florida sun/heat

They should book their tickets through the actual tour company not through viator.com… tickets were $36 apiece at the place and I paid $45 apiece… And then you could’ve paid half of that with a Groupon. I really felt cheated did not know there was a 20% handling fee
This was not really a tour of Naples but rather a trolley around town with drop off spots at local shopping centers. The driver was very pleasant as he recited the many random facts about shopping in Naples.
1 - tour never happened. So disappointed
Our 4th trolley tour/ hop on hop off experience on a trip from NJ to Bonita Springs and it was the only one that was a total waste of time and money. Charleston SC, Savannah, GA, and St. Augustine FL are superb, informative, and fun. We expected to learn about the history of the city of Naples and southwest FL but instead heard about hotel and business landmarks by a pre-recorded audio and multi-million dollar home areas and places to eat or shop the driver recommended. Views of the beach and Gulf were limited to a glimpse between hotels and highrises. The trip is 30 miles in 90 minutes so the driver had to go very fast and 2 in our party of 4 felt sick. The time between trolleys at any stop is 1 hr and 45 minutes so if you don't arrive at a stop on time you are stuck waiting another 1 hr and 45 minutes. Guests had to ask what stop we were at. Our party exited at stop 9, Naples Grand Beach Resort. After exiting the trolley we were told by the property guard, not the driver, that the hotel is closed for renovation and that we had to walk down a hill & through a parking lot to get on a golf cart for 3/4 mile trip to the beach. When we returned we had to call the company to make sure the Trolley would stop at #9 to pick us up. We learned there was going to be a 45 minute wait. It was hot, there was no place to sit, and limited shade. According to the guard the trolley company was notified the hotel was closed and suggested they remove the stop from the tour. Obviously the Trolley company ignored the notice. At that point we were so hot, uncomfortable, and disgusted with the quality of the tour we took an Uber back to the starting point. The Trolley tour is a total disappointment in a beautiful city.
My wife, our friend, and I were lucky enough to ride the trolley tour today, and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. Our driver, Mark, filled in a lot of detail after the recorded sections played, pointed out someother hidden details of the city and even made some food/restaurant recommendations to us. The tour lasted a little over two hours, but was informative and pointed out sections of the city we will go back and visit. Well worth the time and money for this.
We never had the tour because when we got there in the morning they had taken one trolley off and they were only running every two hours. We had an afternoon boat tour so we were not able to take the trolley With them going every two hours. We were told this happens often. I don’t know how the tour is but I certainly know that this company is not reliable. Would not recommend They did give us a full refund but it didn’t compensate for ruining our plans
Some history of the area. Get a good layout of the city and where all the restaurants and shopping is.
Very nice experience great Natur we have fun and enjoy the day The on the place are very helpful and friendly The only little negative No badroom
Excellent preview for things to do while in the Naples area! Very informative with a delightful tour guide who shared interesting information.
I went w/ my husband & kids to meet up w/ family in Naples for the NYE Holiday. Early in the morning, I went w/ my immediate family on the Trolley Tour. It was lovely. Our Tour Guide was so lively, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable-- so full of energy: a true delight! Thank You, James for a memorable tour. Naples is just beautiful/ & to top it off, such a beautiful day. I highly recommend this tour!
We did the whole loop and it was so fun to learn the history of Naples. The driver was welcoming and accommodating.
The tour was nice. We saw a lot of new things…. BUT, the tour guide talked non-stop from the moment we got on the tour until we departed. He did not stop talking. And yes, he’s a tour guide , but we heard stories about his shopping trip to Macys, about him telling his wife if he goes bald he would wear a “rug” (I am bald with no “rug), to stories about the different types of palm trees, to jokes the red head female passenger, and his many different assignments and fancy clients he transported, his kids, and his opinion on allowing dogs in restaurants, blah blah blah The focus was clearly not to educate us on Naples…he was focused solely on himself. He did not recommend a single place to eat and ever so briefly discussed shopping… he was actually horrible. We left the trip knowing more about the driver than Naples. As the title says, talk talk talk… but in the end, we knew more about the driver.
Expected so much more Not really a tour tranquil ride through there doesn’t seem much to see for a tour other than a quick pass millionaire homes
James the driver had the best personality for the job. He made it very light-hearted and fun. Would recommend this trip for everyone
Our Guide was great! It was very hot and he kept the bus nice and cool and the music was jamming. Some stops were not accessible due to construction but otherwise it was great!
We took this bus tour recently and offer the following pros and cons. Pros: easy to make online reservations; helpful representative at the trolley station; ran on time; nice bus-not too cramped, good a/c and sound system; driver was friendly, drove safely and stayed on time; covered a lot of stunningly beautiful areas in a relatively short time; most of the tour was recorded commentary and not narrated by driver, which made it easier to understand; very comprehensive route covered a lot of the city and surroundings. Cons: way too much of the tour was geared towards what must be paid advertisers-I really wanted to hear more about history, nature, and significant local sites. but mixed in were what sounded like tv commercials for random local places ; too much "forced fun"-I do not like to have to listen to loud rock music, participate in sing-alongs, or do YMCA moves, which there was too much of. Overall, I thought it was ok, but given how interesting the area is, seems like it could be much better with a revamped approach to the sites.
It was a great tour around Naples, highlighting various attractions to visit and see. Our driver also pointed out items not mentioned in the tour narration. The trolley was comfortable, and it was easy to see the various sights throughout the city.
Our driver Keith I think. He was 82 years ago and drove excellent. Eight thirty bus, just me and my friend. He was very informative
This is one of the best ways to see Naples! You get to see things you likely would not have found on your own. The ability to hop off and explore is a plus. You will learn quite a few historical facts. Definitely recommend. Check Groupon for discount options.
Me and my wife took the Trolley Tour with Trolley Rick, and we had an amazing time! Rick was very friendly, informative and helpful explaining the areas of Naples with both a personal and professional approach that really helped us understand the history and culture of the city. Definitely recommend!
Just got off the Trolley it was a great way to see Naples and all of the areas surrounding the city. We had a great time on our trolley tour of Naples today we stayed on the trolley from start to finish the driver was very informative And great entertaining us for over two hrs. What fun it was to see so much in a couple of hrs.
It was a lovely tour and Rick provided some interesting and informative information which was in addition to the well-done audio recording. I actually recommended it to a few people I met when on other Naples tours!
The tour is not long, about an hour and a half, but worth the price. Good information from the tour guide. Pick up and drop off locations are not clearly delineated.
I had an amazing experience on the Naples Trolley Tour, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area! My guide, Charlie Rick, was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and full of interesting facts about the history and culture of Naples. Throughout the tour, Charlie shared stories about the city’s landmarks, local traditions, and even some fun trivia I didn’t expect. It was a great way to learn more about this beautiful city while relaxing and enjoying the sights. The trolley was comfortable, and the pace was just right, making it easy to take everything in. I left the tour feeling like I had a deeper understanding of Naples and its charm. A must-do activity!
The tour was good, our bus driver made the trip fun by singing and putting out little comments now and then. I would like to know where all these people get their millions to buy multi million dollar houses. It was nice to see all the beaches, shopping areas for the rich, multi million dollar houses, billion dollar condominiums, and historical sites. I would recommend them tour. However, it’s not really a hop on hop off tour unless you push the button and ask the driver to stop, otherwise it’s a continuous two hour tour.
Where the hell do all these people get their mult-millions from? It was a good tour I thought to see Naples rich areas and historical places, beaches, water canals and shopping districts .Our driver was funny, making the two hour tour fun.
Surprised at the high reviews. Driver and person helping with tickets were super friendly, but this is a tour with a tour guide. Someone drives the trolley (our driver wasn't even from Naples), while a recording plays along the route. It went really fast and goes to a bunch of hotels, etc. Made me wonder if the places on the tour pay a fee? Would not recommend if looking to learn about Naples history, etc.
We usually enjoy taking hop-on hop-off tours in most cities we visit, and we had similar expectations for this one, even though it was run by a different company. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The recordings over the speaker were clear, which was a positive. However, despite being advertised as a hop-on hop-off tour, the bus didn’t actually make stops. If you wanted to get off, you had to flag down the driver, which was inconvenient. I was also hopping the driver would highlight places to eat or places that were of interest that were worthwhile at stops. Naples may not have been as engaging as other cities, but overall, I found the tour rather dull. It didn’t feel like a worthwhile use of our vacation day.
Great tour of Naples. Learned a lot on the history of the town and Steve also added additional information to the audio recording. The temperature on the bus was comfortable and you could hear the audio clearly. Steve kept us on schedule.
It was a lovely and convenient experience, made better by our trolley driver and tour guide Steve. He was quite knowledgeable and help us plan our 'hop-on and hop-off' to maximize our day. I recommend fully.
This was a great guided tour to get an overview of Naples. Our guide was Steve and he was very informative and gave a lot of good tips on the area. He knew a great deal of history about the area and that was very interesting to me. I would highly recommend.
We bought tickets to the hop and go. We did have some issues redeeming our voucher for the actual trolley tickets so just an fyi if you’re purchasing them online. If you’re visiting Naples or the surrounding area for the first time, this is an excellent way to get acclimated with the shopping district, places to eat, enjoy the beautiful scenery and homes, as well as the general history of Naples while making your way around in the trolley. 14 stops overall in various locations to get off or on to shop, eat or explore. Our driver was very friendly and we definitely learned a lot of fascinating tidbits of Naples as well as well as where some well known individuals reside or used reside in the area.
16 friends from our development in Naples decided to take a trolley ride. Steve was our driver and he did a great job telling us the history and interesting stories about Naples. We would recommend grabbing a group of friends and taking the hop on hop off trolley for a nice day out.
My friends and I were very happy and pleased with how pretty and beautiful Naples Florida . Our tour guide Steve was very nice , helpful and knowledgeable about the history of Naples. We enjoyed the trip and we’re planning to take the trip again with our families.
We visit Naples annually and stay near downtown. We pass by Naples Trolley Tours when walking toTin City from our hotel. We decided to take the trolley tour and it was a nice activity for a rainy day. Purchasing our tickets with Chris was efficient and pleasant. He even offered us some great, available discounts which we very much appreciated! Our guide Steve was great. Energetic, informative, and a lot of fun! We saw places we didn’t know existed and the history of the area was very interesting. We opted to stay on the trolly for the entire time even though you can hop on/hop off. It was very clean and air-conditioned and Steve was a very attentive and great driver. We will definitely do it again and hopefully have better weather so we can get out and spend some time at a few of the shopping and dining locations.
Steve and Rick were great. Lots of good history. Sometimes Steve was a little over-the-top with their tour material, but overall it was good and worth the trip
As all the other reviews have said, Steve was awesome. Had lots of information to share and was always checking that everyone on the bus was good. Would definitely recommend!
I read reviews and decided to take the trolley tour as suggested before driving all over Naples. So glad we did and thank you for the advice! We had Steve who was great. We did not purchase tickets in advance and the owner was out on another tour. Instead of telling us to wait, Steve welcomed us aboard the air conditioning and said pay at the end. Great customer service!
Had a really informative tour with our guide Steve. It felt like a private tour, as there was only 4 of us on the trolley. Steve really knew his stuff, & made it very easy to interact with him. Would highly recommend ( Steve, we were the couple from England, who were doing a road trip if Florida)
Steve gave us a great tour! He was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We would definitely do it again! Thank you Steve!
Steve, our guide was a kick! This is our 5th tour in 7 years with friends and family, and Steve always does a great job. We’ve had a condo in Naples in our family since 1968, and I always learn something new on the trolley tour.
Steve was just a wonderful very knowledgeable tour guide! Enjoyed all the information and scenery. He was so friendly and helpful. The five of us just loved him! The trolley was comfortable. Even though open air with temperatures in the high 80’s and higher humidity, the air flow as we drove kept us pretty comfortable! Thank you Steve!❤️
This was so much fun and very informative!! Steve (driver) is amazing and so great at his job! Obvious he loves it!! You need to do this if visiting Naples!
Steve was the best tour guide! Very informative and funny! I would highly recommend this tour!! Especially because of him!
Steve is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable. We live here full time and always wanted to do the tour to see what we didn’t know about Naples. We learned a lot. From the history of Baron Collier, the Pelican Bay development, Parc Shore, historical Naples and the story of the Rosemary Cemetery. Great job Steve. Never got off, just stayed with Steve for the whole route and am more knowledgeable today than yesterday.
Trolley Steve was a wonderful guide and really brought Naples to life for first time visitors! We enjoyed learning the lay of the land and its history.
Steve the driver was great. Very knowledgeable about the area. He was one of the best guides I've had for this type of tour, as he was very clear in his speaking. Would recommend this tour for anyone traveling to this area.
Seemed to be more about million dollar homes and commercial restaurants and shops than the history of Naples. Steve did a great job adding historical information while trolley was driving around the built up areas. Would suggest driving around historic Naples more.
