Itinerary
Join us for a guided eco tour at Big Hickory Island in Bonita Springs. Choose a standard or CLEAR kayak or paddleboard. We'll paddle at a relaxed pace in search of dolphins, birds, and manatees while sharing local eco-system info. We are open 7 days a week and promise to provide you with exceptional service so come on out and let us show you how easy it is to get out and have some fun on the water! Our paddling routes are some of the best in Southwest Florida and allow you to experience the mangroves trails and tunnels, the Gulf of Mexico, and the beautiful Island beach! You will have the chance to be up close with marine life and it’s quite common to see dolphins, and sometimes manatees (summer). We suggest you bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bottled water, and water shoes. CLEAR kayaks have a limit of 400 pounds per boat and a max of 225 pounds per seat. Our Standard kayaks have higher limits and track better. Clear kayaks are for 2 people so please book even numbers. We have HOBIE pedal kayaks if needed. Contact us if questions! Minimum age is 3 years old. We have youth sized PFDs but suggest that parents provide a quality, fitted PFD for children under 50 pounds.

What an incredible way to spend a few hours exploring nature! Sunny was the best guide, so much fun to hang with on our tour, and super knowledgeable. Ten out of ten.
Our guide was very personable and knowledge! Made everyone feel very comfortable and had a very upbeat personality .
An awesome guided tour. A must stop if you love nature .
Nick was a fantastic tour guide. Very informative and entertaining.
This kayaking experience was exceptional. Not only did the weather cooperate, but the knowledgeable tour guide Mike guided us through mangroves, larger waters while explaining local flora and various beach finds. It was worth the price.
Awesome tour-peaceful and informative. Luke was our guide and was awesome!
Great experience. For the life of me, I cannot remember our guides name. She was knowledgeable about the area. Her love of nature was evident in everything she said and did. She even stopped, got off her paddleboard, pulled an upside down jellyfish out of the water so we could see it upclose ( it was beautiful!).
Mike was our tour guide and he was absolutely amazing. He's very knowledgeable on the wild life and patient. He is definitely a must have on future tour guides. Fyi Mike was able to have my family experience a few sharks and dolphins!
It was a great time of year to go. It was just us. It felt like we had a private tour. We interacted with Captain Steve and had an awesome time. We spent 15 minutes with a pod of dolphins which was so rare. They were coming up to the boat and swimming around the bow checking us out. We learned about Port Royal and then we experienced the magnificent sunset views. It was an incredible day.
We booked this guided kayak tour somewhat last minute and were not disappointed. The cost was very reasonable and clear instructions for pickup etc were provided. Our guide, Nick, was great! Very friendly and helpful. His local knowledge of the area history, wildlife, and plant life made for a great tour! Unfortunately we did not see any dolphins or manatees but plenty of birds, marine life, and collected some great shells. Nick even gave some great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. Highly recommend this tour and Nick!
We had a great time on our SUP tour today with our guide Mike. He pointed out local wildlife and answered all our questions. We spotted lots of birds including pelicans but unfortunately did not see any manatees or dolphins today. Equipment was all in great condition. We did not feel like we were rushed at all Would highly recommend this tour.
Had a great time, so fun! My first time paddle boarding and Luke was a great guide! I’ll definitely be back for rentals!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent eco-adventure excursion through the mangroves and out into the Gulf, with plenty of wildlife along the way. We didn’t get to see dolphins or manatees, but that didn’t take away from the experience—it was still so much fun! Nick was a fantastic and very knowledgeable tour guide, making the trip even more enjoyable. We also had some relaxing downtime to swim on a beautiful island that’s only accessible by water. Highly recommend this adventure for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and educational experience out on the water! 🌴🛶🌊
It was a great tour! 2 hours, and that was Plenty! Since I got a solo tour, because no one else signed up for my time slot, my guide, Nick, took me on one of the more strenuous routes. He saw that I was a strong paddler, so offered me the option of a more challenging route. That, along with no beach breaks ( I came to Paddle!), made for quite a workout! Nick was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, and the wildlife. He was great. This was definitely worth the money!
Nick was an awesome guide, we all learned so much from him. I highly recommend this excursion. Take this trip.
Bring a swimsuit, beach clothes, sunscreen, and don’t forget your sunglasses. You’ll probably get wet, but it’s absolutely worth it! It’s an unforgettable experience. Part of the excursion includes stopping to explore a small hidden island, so make sure to bring sandals or shoes that can get wet. You can look for seashells and then get into the water at a sandbar, where you’ll find crystal-clear water and what feels like an endless ocean horizon. Besides being a lot of fun, the tour is also educational. Along the way, they share interesting facts about the local flora and fauna, as well as fascinating details about the different species in the area. If you want to bring your own camera, I definitely recommend it. If not, don’t worry, the guide will take plenty of photos so you’ll have lots of memories from your trip. Definitely an experience I would do again!
First try we had a pop up rain shower so rescheduled for next morning without any issues at all. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our time kayaking and walking the sandbar. Would definitely recommend!
Nick was a very knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot about the wildlife, shells and the area. Would definitely recommend. We had a rain delay and were able to reschedule for the next day. Great service
Nick was an excellent guide! He was very knowledgeable of the wildlife: birds, aquatic mammals, mollusks and their shells, vegetation and the costal ecosystem as a whole. He was very patient with those on the tour who had limited experience kayaking.
Fun experience, kayaking was not too difficult for the two 12 year old girls and tour guide Luke was very good.
Nick was great !!! We had a great time ! He was very informative and taught us all things about the wildlife and histories of the area !
Absolutely worth the money! Our tour guide Luke was very knowledgeable and personable. Very encouraging for beginners! 100% would go back
It was a nice time but I do not see any real dolphin or other sea life really as a factor you should consider a priority for the event. We saw no sea life. I understand that is not in the control of the tour but I believe that is pretty rare.
Great tour luke!! This tour was awesome
Victoria did a great job guiding us! Her passion for wildlife shown through!!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful! He was quick to point out any wildlife and was able to answer all our questions. He also allowed us to take the trip at our own pace. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon!
We had a great time on our kayak tour. Nick was super informative and we even got to see a dolphin. The complimentary photos were a great value!
Victoria was our guide and she was absolutely adorable, knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. She kept our party well informed at every step so the group stayed together and she made sure everyone had a great time. I would highly recommend this tour if you have visiting guests and want a little adventure.
It was an amazing experience, we had so much fun. Our guide Nick took us to a small island great for shelling. We saw a lot of marine life, manatees and dolphins especially. Would 100% recommend and will definitely do again.
It ain't for sissies. It's mostly slow and relaxing, but 2 1/2 hours of anything physical will take it out of you if you are not used to it (which I definitely am not). But don't let that deter you, my wife and I did this as part of our 24th anniversary celebration, and we lived through it :-) and we would definitely like to do it again. Luke was our guide. He was very informative and patient with us slower, less experienced folk. The area is beautiful, and you will get some comic relief going through the mangrove tunnels. I have no qualms about recommending this activity.
Mike our tour guide was awesome! Took his time and made it fun!
Informative and a fun experience. We went at 1pm & it was too hot then. Nick was informative. I would definitely recommend watershoes as the long walk mid kayaking along the secluded beach was very uncomfortable. Nick describes we could call ahead and ask best time (such as weather and tides) but I could never get in touch with anyone when I did try to reach out before booking (if you figure it out it will be helpful as too low tide kept us beached on the kayak a bit and less marine life to see. But shelling was great. Next time I would go early to avoid the heat in June. Nick was super informative about the ocean, wildlife, shells and eco system and also how the hurricane changed the landscape. He took fun pictures he shared right away. I definitely recommend Nick as the tour guide
We had a great time! Highly recommend the morning before the heat sets in. For my science teacher husband, this was a perfect, family friendly experience that blended a tour of the mangroves and local wildlife with a beach session at the island towards the end. We were lucky enough to get a dolphin sighting at the beginning! We will most definitely be doing this again with our daughters and other friends and family who come to visit. Luke was a great, knowledgeable, laid back and kind tour guide!
We had such a great time Michael was the best, super knowledgeable and made the experience better than expected!
We had such a great time! Our tour guide Victoria was so knowledgeable. We loved hearing about the different types of shells, mangrove trees, and birds in the area. It was also really cool to go to little hickory island, where we swam for 20ish minutes. We didn’t see any manatees or dolphins but of course that’s common. Hopefully next time we get to see them!
We enjoyed our tour guide, Mike. He was informative about our surroundings, kept us together, and showed us some living sea creatures.
Our tour guide, Hannah, gave us the best experience! She made it super fun and lighthearted, while giving us a lot of super cool info. You can tell she really likes what she does, 10/10 experience!! This was good for me and my husband who love to kayak.
Very fun. Enjoyed island. Great guide. Very positive and informative.
We had an amazing time on our kayak experience. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made it so fun. Unfortunately we didnt see any manatees, but did see dolphins.
Great tour, fun experience! Took our kids aged 11 and 14 and they loved it. Hannah was a great tour guide!
We had an amazing day on the kayak tour with Paddle Naples. What a memorable experience as we enjoyed the quiet time paddling through the mangroves and the stop/walk on the beautiful beach. Our guide Nick was wonderful. He took his time and was very informative about the native wildlife and the area. We would love to do it again. A must do tour and ask for Nick.
Definitely recommend this excursion if you want to learn about the mangroves, islands, hurricanes, shells, birds, wildlife, etc! Our tour guide Nick was very knowledgeable about the area. He did a great job getting to know us all, sharing recommendations, and info personalized to us! We paddled, and also had time to walk the island and search for shells! Loved how he took pictures along the way as well, helped to document the memory!
Very relaxed trip. Not hard paddling with some beach time. Perfect way to spend a morning!
The guide was awesome! She was funny and very knowledgeable about the animals, shells and ecosystem! Definitely will book again if we bring our kids back next time.
Luke was amazing and did such a great job!! Found a bunch of pretty shells for us to keep, pointed out wildlife and was very charismatic. Mom and I had a blast 10/10 recommend their eco tours!!!
Nick was an amazing tour guide. He was very informative about local plants and wildlife and showed us a great time. 10/10 would recommend 🤙🏾
Mike was great, if you aren't right next to him you can't hear a thing. Was able to have a conversation when we stopped so that made up for it. Good value for your money. Clear tandem kayak sits low so if you have a bad back I would recommend the single ones.
Seth was great! He was knowledgeable and funny. Very informative and friendly. Would recommend
Our tour guide Seth was not only knowledgeable but also had a great sense of humor. He took his time to talk to everyone and make sure we were all safe
