Itinerary
Experience Silver Springs State Park on this Clear Kayak Gator Viewing Tour, a unique and safe way to observe Florida’s iconic alligators in one of the state’s most beautiful spring systems. Paddle through crystal-clear turquoise water along the Silver River, where exceptional visibility allows you to spot wildlife beneath and along the shoreline. Gators often sun on the banks, while turtles, fish, and wading birds thrive in this protected ecosystem. Manatees (seasonal) and wild rhesus monkeys are occasionally seen in the surrounding forest. Your knowledgeable guide shares insight into the park’s wildlife, history, and ecology. This historic waterway was featured in early Tarzan films and a James Bond movie, adding a cinematic backdrop to your adventure. Ancient cypress trees and quiet backwaters create an authentic Old Florida atmosphere. Our stable clear kayaks provide unmatched underwater views and a calm, beginner-friendly experience. With instruction and life vests included, guests of all experience levels can paddle confidently. Located about 80 miles from Orlando, this guided eco-adventure blends wildlife, history, and natural beauty into one unforgettable experience.

I enjoyed it for the most part, saw 3 gators a manatee and lots of birds. It's a beautiful place. The only thing I would suggest is that Epic is more upfront about the difficulty in paddling a wide kayak like they use for older and/or out of shape folks. It's pretty strenuous, especially coming back going against the current. I would definitely go again with other friends. This time of year it was perfect, warm, sunny day, not too hot. I wouldn't want to do it in the summer.
Roger was a brilliant guide. Really funny with a good knowledge of the wildlife in the area and the area itself. We had a great day seeing gators, manatees, loads of turtles and incredible bird life. Dover springs itself is gorgeous.
Great experience with a very enthusiastic tour guide (Roger). He showed us the way along the river and pointed out the wildlife. He also gave us a lot of information regarding the history of the side. Although we are experienced kayakers, he was very calm and patient with people who had little to no experience. We loved it and enjoyed this experience
This trip is fantastic! I boarded the kayak with my grandmother and everything went so well. Originally, I thought I can only see one or two mentees in total, but it ended up with seeing thirteen of them! We also saw some alligators and turtles. They are so adorable. Our tour guide is Roger, who is a very dedicated and energetic guy! I appreciated his passion and his guiding style! Overall, it’s such a nice experience!
This was such a fun tour! The guide was very knowledgeable about the location and alligators behavior. It was very safe as the guide explained they are very docile as they are used to seeing tons of people on a daily basis. The tour guide is always closer to the gators than we are so it is great to know the Epic guides are all about knowledge, fun, and safety. Thank you for the amazing experience, highly recommended!
When we first went to go on the tour my girlfriend and I were alil weary of the gator, thinking some monster croc is gonna come up out of nowhere. Put the guides put out minds at easy, assured us we wouldn't be in any harms way, as we went the guides put themselves in between us and any gator of any size but even still these gigantic prehistoric lizards didn't even move, 1 bellowed saying "hello" but that was all, it was a little startling but incredibly cool
This experience was wonderful! Kind and knowledgeable staff! I'm in awe because of all the amazing wildlife to see. Beautiful spring waters. I recommend this instead of busy theme parks :)
This is a great experience. As a paddleboarder, I am partial to that, but the tour itself is fantastic! The guides are all knowledgeable, but they make it fun, not just "info-tour". Yes, if you WANT to see gators, this is a tour that delivers!
My family and I had such a wonderful time! I HIGHLY recommend this tour! The guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. Very beautiful scenery.
It’s beautiful here lots of manatee. Guy was amazing guide. His knowledge of the outdoors was incredible.Thank you Guy
Our family of four had a great time on our kayak tour. Our guides were awesome and very respectful of the natural environment. We were fortunate enough to observe a lot of natural wildlife - manatee, alligator, fish and birds. For us, the weather turned a little chilly, but our guides helped us stay dry all the way from our hats to our sneakers. If you don’t want to get wet, just ask the guides for their pro tips. :)
Rich, our guide, was funny, personable, and informative! His enthusiasm and love for wildlife is contagious. I absolutely appreciate all the pictures he took too! Photos included us with the manatees…pics we could’ve never been able to get for ourselves
We had the best time on this tour, beautiful scenery, lovely group to paddle with and great tour guides. The water was calm, crystal clear and beautifully warm (I know this because I fell in!!) - thanks to Angie for guiding us on two paddle tours while we were in Orlando!
What a great trip we had with our family! The clear kayaks were really exciting to use! Silver Springs Park was so beautiful & our guide was excellent in pointing out all that it has to offer. We did not want our tour to end! It was a great introduction for our kids into kayaking & being able to see through our boat was so cool! Thank you so much!
Definitely a must do! Our teenagers loved it and we saw so many manatee’s. We did the paddle boards and none of us were experienced. Aron was very informative and made the whole experience even better.
Abundant wildlife, stunning scenery, peace and quiet and helpful attendants. A beautiful day spent in God’s amazing nature.
amazing tour guides! both super nice, understanding and helpful. when i first got in i had no idea what i was doing, but with some help from tracy i was the first in the line! Aaron will give you a good laugh too! always made sure they were keeping us safe from the gators too.
Our guide had excellent rescue skills. He was also very knowledgeable. Silver Springs is vey beautiful & full of a lot of cool animals to see.
We rented two sit in kayaks after hearing many refer to tandem kayaks as divorce kayaks. Ha! We did the two hour kayak trip and it was awesome. The first mile was downstream through shaded channels. We saw lots of turtles and birds. Then, you come out into the main area where the glass bottom boats are. Now it is time to paddle upstream and navigate away from the boats. We used to own kayaks and are comfortable with them. The views are spectacular. Fish were coming right up to the edge of our kayaks. We did not see monkeys or manatee. We wanted to return the next day to do the full day paddle to Ray Wayside. That’s all downstream and then they have a shuttle pick you up. There’s a chance to see monkeys further downstream. Unfortunately, there were thunderstorms anticipated, so didn’t go. Next time we will do that kayak tour. The website still says they aren’t offering the full day (4 hours) with shuttle, but they are. You can just show up without a reservation, but noon is the last put in for the long kayak trip. The staff were very helpful getting you in and out of the water and kayaks.
