Great experience for all. The tank with the sharks and turtle was pretty cool. The planetarium was a nice surprise .

I was there with 3 kids aged 14, 12 and 9. They enjoyed it very much. The only issue was that many kids from school were there and we could not watch the shaw. All over it was a very nice experience
It's not only a museum but it's also a school to study science. There are a lot of activities for you to explore. I think you should spend about 3-4 hours there. All staffs are very friendly.
This museum is educational and the aquarium is brilliant. Only downside that the planetarium was closed and it's the one attraction our son wanted to do. We are here on holiday and leave soon so no opportunity to go back. Other than this I would recommend a visit.
Parking is weird The 100 character minimum has been met and it is spectacular. Just got to love it- baby
So cool. Fun activity in this insane heat
Out multigenerational family really enjoyed the museum. Great place if you are looking for some activity to escape the Miami heat. Lots of hands on experiences for children. We were able to spend several hours at the place.
Me and the wifey love fish… this place was amazing! One of the best aquariums we’ve been in in the world. Beautiful tank, besides that the science was interesting and we walked out feeling like we learned something new. Families, couples, friends I would recommend it!
The Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is a fantastic place to explore, learn, and spend a few hours discovering the wonders of science. The aquarium, planetarium, and interactive exhibits offer something for visitors of all ages, and the building itself is impressive with beautiful views of Miami. The exhibits are well designed and engaging, especially the planetarium experience and the marine life displays. It’s a great destination for families, science lovers, or anyone looking for an educational and entertaining activity in Miami. The reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that some exhibits felt a little limited for the price of admission, and the museum can get quite crowded, making it harder to take your time at certain displays. Overall, the Frost Museum is still a worthwhile attraction with plenty to see and experience. I enjoyed my visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and educational day in Miami.
This was amazing! We don’t have anything this big in Colorado! We really enjoyed the VR, and Planetarium show! So much to see totally worth it! Glad we made this trip on our vacation to Florida!
My Wife and i had a good time there, it was like i was reliving my childhood, i would say good experience for family with children.
Amazing space with breathtaking installations to die for.
Not worth it. It's a nice building, big enough to have plenty of interesting things, but I was dissapointed. The only thing good is the aquarium with 2 sharks, 2 turtles and a bunch of fishes. The planetarium that they ask you to reserve a time, it's so boring that most of the people get out before the show ends. Who the hell cares about the chemical elements of the earth. It is boring even for little kids. Don't waste your money $38 for adults plus $18 for parking. It even doesn't have a decent restaurant.
Really cool to see the domes & animals swimming above you. Wasn’t as eventful as I expected but still a cool experience to see all of the different aquatic animals. Didn’t find “the dig” that interesting or eventful. The planetarium was part of our reservation but wasn’t allowing us in for some reason. Staff ended up helping us out & getting us in. Planetarium wasn’t all that interesting either & we ended up leaving 10 or so minutes in but they show different things at different times. Staff were amazing but it just wasn’t all of what I was expecting.
The museum was fascinating. We enjoyed the diverse exhibits.
This wasn't a great museum. It's ok for very young children but not entertaining for kids over 8 years old. The additional VR experience was unimpressive. The aquarium was the best part. Wasn't worth going.
Six levels if you include the rooftop, which you definitely should. Each level is relatively small compared to most museums I have been to. Of the six levels, three are dedicated to marine life with an aquarium. The planetarium is comfortable with a large screen and good sound quality. There are some hands on exhibits. The VR experience was not worth the $10/pp or hour long wait.
Tried using these tickets but was turned away from the museum. Strongly advise not to use this platform for this purchase.
Great day at the museum, aquarium, planetarium. We especially loved the DaVinci special exhibit. We were able to squeeze in two different planetarium shows and see all of the aquarium exhibits too. This was an unexpected extra day in Miami with a flight cancellation, and we are very happy with our experience. Next visit we would better plan to be able to navigate the museum more easily. There are multiple floors and different buildings all with various exhibits. It was a bit challenging to figure out the easiest way to see everything and enjoy the pace of exploring the exhibits. The outdoor areas and fresh air spaces are unique to a museum like this in a city, but in Miami it makes perfect sense. Parking is a fee, but lot is well it and open until 12midnight. We were able to leave the car and easily walk to Bayside Marketplace for dinner and evening activities after our museum visit. We would visit again and refer friends and family too.
The museum was awesome! A must see for anyone who loves science and nature, will be returning soon! The aquarium is beautiful and the fossil exhibit was super cool as you see people working on uncovering new ones in real time.
Great place. Loads to see and do. Very intuitive and easy to get around. Would definitely recommend as visit.
Visit every thing and embrace it. We went during the week so it was less crowded and good parking choices
There was no access to the roof today. But the sharks were cool. Spoon bill birds may chase you (lol)
I went at a rainy time off and on the whole week I was there. But I still enjoyed myself rain and all. I’ll definitely be back just not for my birthday again.🥳😊
Very impressive fascinating experience. Our teenage children really enjoyed the museum. Thank you for all the work put into this. We all loved it. Great family visit. Highly recommended.
The exhibit is well done with numerous examples of Leonardo’s range of knowledge in multiple disciplines. The interactive mechanical exhibits will keep children and adults entertained. The art exhibits depict the artistic creativity and mastery of design in paintings, theater, costumes design and architecture. A genius of his time with a vision of the future.
The associates running the planetarium movie were very rude to customers. Yelling and pointing rudely where to go. You can tell they didn’t like their job
Waste of money. Set up poorly and we were wandering around aimlessly. Were done in 40 min. Nothing interesting to look at. Crowded in small spaces and very boring. Waste of time.
Took advantage of a TripAdvisor promotion i received for $30 off by booking through TA, so 3 tickets for my family came to just under $75. As of December 2025, garage parking is $18, regardless of how long you visit. There's a large park nearby too, with a free "outdoor" gym (which I'd never seen before) too. I suggest getting to the Frost museum when it opens at 10, to take your time and look at all the exhibits spread throughout its 6 floors. We were there 3 1/2 hours and still didn't see everything. Great for all ages, from young children to adults. Many hands on activities and aquarium too. The planetarium was impressive and an opportunity for tired parents to get a quick nap in.
This museum is absolutely fantastic. Very interesting and educational exhibits, fun things to see and games to experience. Its a great place for adults and children alike. Also beautiful views and the park outside is stunning!
Getting to see amazingly prepared tanks with gorgeous bodies of water filled with various creatures, from fresh water inhabitants, like alligators and turtles, to displays of creatures from our past. Truly was an educational and very family friendly day. There is a shop with plenty of merchandise and a snack shop. The only improvement I'd suggest is a restaurant or dinning room of some sorts.
Family of 3 from Boston. We had an afternoon free and looking for cultural experience. Visited Perez art museum , which was wonderful, but done under one hour. Since the science museum was just few steps, we came. It was fairly large and well done. The planetarium is large and we saw a good movie there. After, we explored the aquarium tanks and ended up on the top most floor for a view of the city, port and cruise ships. The special exhibit on DaVinci was very interesting and well done. We stayed for 2.5 hours which for us it was a record.
The aquarium was the best part. We have been to many science museums and this appeared to be more difficult to navigate and also not much for activities of major interest for kids. They were bored early on which is unusual for us.
It’s very good for kids, if you’re an adult u would find it interesting too. But kids would love it.
We had a great time at the frost museum that place was amazing and we all had a very great experience, however the site “Viator” that I bought the tickets from, was not so much of a great experience and probably will never buy through them again. When I booked my tickets I did not see a date for the event so my assumption was that the tickets are good for whatever time I was wanting to go, when I realized the tickets were only good for 10 am the next day, I wasn’t able to make it. The site gave me a run around and I finally found the correct person to talk to and they told me the sale is 100% final and they could not issue a refund, but they’d change the date and send me a email confirmation that same day. I never received any email so when I woke up the next day I called them again and they again said they’d change it and send me an email, so I waited and finally got an email saying they’d change could not change it and they could not give me a refund because of it being the same day, and I had to pick up my parents from their cruise at 10:30 and did not have room in my car to fit everyone, however I crammed 6 people in a 5 seat car and arrived there closer to 10:45 and the people there were very polite and all in all we made the best out of the experience and it ended up working out but would of liked the site to work with me a little bit better than they did. With that being said the frost museum was an amazing experience and if you have not gone yet I would definitely recommend it
This museum goes far beyond science and includes a planetarium, aquarium, and dinosaur exhibits. My husband and I enjoyed the exhibits meant for children and saw other couples doing the same. The aquarium is educational. Instead of simply labeling the fish the exhibit teaches about the local environment and ways the museum is working to improve it. The dinosaur exhibit it includes a large window area where you can see the paleontologists working. Highly recommend for all ages.
I have been to this center many times, both solo and with my youngest daughter. We are granted entry through our Heard membership (McKinney, Texas) and I am glad for that - if I had to pay the entry fee, my review would be ONE star. Here is why: The museum is quite large and there is a lot to see, spaced out between five levels. However, the layout is rather confusing. I have been often enough that I mostly know my way around, but it is still awkward. All common areas are outside, so you'll be exposed to oppressive heat between exhibits. The exhibits themselves are very interesting - they have beautiful aquariums, a small but fascinating paleontology lab, larger areas showing dinosaurs and birds, a history of oceanic discovery, and several hands-on exhibits for kids. And the kids are the problem. Each weekday, there are *many* field trips coming through. It is LOUD, chaotic, and downright miserable. Teachers screeching at kids to be quiet (if they're even paying attention - lots of teachers and chaperones with faces in phones or running along with the kids), kids running, yelling, cussing (yes - be prepared for some interesting language), bumping into and cutting in front of patrons, touching/jumping on hands-off exhibits, and from what I've seen, not learning a darned thing. I have met many people visiting from cruises or while on vacation. Most are downright furious at being subjected to mobs of unruly schoolkids and their chaperones who allow them to run feral. I am all for a hands-on experience, but not full-body contact! The worst was yesterday, November 12. The special DaVinci exhibit, which is composed of facsimiles of his codices, wooden reproductions of his mechanical drawings, and a masterfully done immersive music-and-slideshow experience was turned into a veritable jungle gym with kids running around, grabbing, touching, and bumping into exhibits and patrons...and then LOUDLY milling about, making shadow puppets, having loud conversations, and generally displaying no awareness of or courtesy toward patrons quietly watching the show. Even the teachers and chaperones were walking onto the floor screens, talking, and creating a scene. The museum does not warn paying patrons of the mess they'll encounter. If I had paid full price to attend, I would have been *livid*. Schools arrive at opening and most seem to leave by 1pm. If you would like to enjoy exhibits without kids terrorizing the place, come after 1pm. Also, avoid the touch tanks/aquariums, oculus, Me Labs, and open areas (paleo lab and DaVinci are *usually* less crazy). Or, just skip altogether and watch some good documentaties on DaVinci, sea life, and dinosaurs. My suggestion to the Frost: Give guided tours to schools and stop letting them bring kids to run amok. Those kids aren't learning anything and they are ruining experiences for customers paying full price.
The most interesting part I thought was the interactive portion of the museum, the paper airplane was my favorite
Christine is awesomeeee!! I highly recommend this place for families and fun group outings. Thank you to the awesome staff.
Enjoyed the science theme great interaction exhibits for the kids and everyone of all ages. A must see, be sure to do the Planetarium and virtual reality. Great place.
Worst place ever I will never go back again. Most important part for us is closed due to private event and we didn’t receive any notification about that.
The museum is very interactive and hands on. I like how detailed they are about Florida's oceans, coral reefs, and the nature preserves. And the 3 level aquarium gives you the experience of taking a swim with the fishes without getting wet. Definitely worth visiting. Plan to arrive early when they open.
I am glad I came across this activity. It was such a great activity to do while exploring Miami. There is something for everyone to enjoy.
Overall, a great few hours spent! Definitely lots to interest our 9, 13 and 14 year old children, we particularly enjoyed the aquarium and the ME lab. Planetarium talk was detailed and the speaker was very knowledgeable. Ok, it’s definitely enough to pay for a family of 5 plus parking but we enjoyed our time there and would recommend to others!
Not worth the money and don’t go by the description of what it has. I know I will not go again. Will tell family and friends not to waste their time and money
Science museum showing a lot of different areas of the sciences. A little confusing as to layout. Need to start at rooftop and the go down from there.
This place was amazing!!!! I figured we’d spend maybe an hour or so here and move on. We arrived at 1:30pm and stayed well past close hours later. There’s so much to see and do. Would definitely recommend.
I baught tickets via Viator for Monday and we drove to the museum which took us 2 hours and the museum is closed on Mondays. Called customer service for a refund and they told me I needed proof like a picture of the entrance to the museum that it’s closed. I did take a pic but what if I didn’t take a pic… your gonna keep my money? The rep from Viator even called the place and said sorry we can’t get a hold of anyone to verify if it’s closed…. Hmmmmm if no one is answering where could they be??????? On the museum website they also say they are closed mondays but you can still buy tickets for Mondays. HORRIBLE!!!
What a great experience! Husband and I split up and enjoyed the Frost Science Museum solo and joyfully found each other with the biggest smiles on our faces! Shared our favorites and he showed me the Gulf Stream Oculus where we laid down watching schools of fish, stingrays, sharks and turtles swim by - it was pure magic! Thank you Frost Family for a wonderful Sunday afternoon in Miami. Cheers and Aloha!
I began with a show at the Planetarium with a truly spectacular show. Then I moved on the the various aquarium exhibits. A GREAT experience whether your’e 8 or 80
