Fort Lauderdale To Key West Tour With Optional Add-ons

So, we got to Embassy Suites Hotel, our meet up place. We did not know we were supposed to pay for parking. The young man was VERY kind. He gave us a ticket and told us to park in the back. By the time we walked up front just a minute after pick up, no bus. Let me tell you, we left in plenty of time but give yourself EVEN MORE. That little bus will come, the driver will stop, take a picture in front of the hotel and zip off. I had been trying to call someone from Keywest tours and they called me. Thankfully, he came back. Then we drove an hour to board the tour bus. After that it was a 3 hour ride, one stop for McDonalds...get in get out. We had a wonderful guide named Luis, the driver was fantastic and I was sick. My stomach suffered through that ride. Please take some Tums, just in case. We had the scuba diving excursion but was able to switch it because...I don't know how to swim (Don't ask me why I booked that, I thought I was going to see cute little fishes in an inch of water, Oh no girlie, this is the Atlantic Ocean...can you tread water? No, I cannot. You HAVE to be able to tread water for any soul that may be as dim as I was. LOL!!!). Luis was kind enough to switch it to the glass boat tour where you'll see the coral reef, and schools of fish without being a statistic. I think I would have preferred a guided tour around Keywest. Nevertheless, I've always wanted to go and would like to go back. I need at least 2 days to walk around. The people are so kind, the food is so good and there is so much history. The reason why I gave it a four verses 5 rating is because, like others before me, just getting to the meet up was confusing. But I am so grateful to Viator for letting me visit a place I have always wondered about. My ride back was fabulous because of the Tums (THANK YOU JESUS!!!) but I will need to fly in next time. Please leave for your meet up early. We actually had about 20 minutes to spare when we got to Embassy Suites but we spent so much time with the parking and wondering if it wasn't a hoax that we almost lost out. Have your tour operators phone number with you...and enjoy!

Make sure you ask what pick up spot is near your home. I drove to Ft Lauderdale and there were local spots to me. Lots of fun, excursions, sightseeing, beach and dining of all types. Candy stores and cheap souvenirs

Guide & Driver have done everything possible for great tour. They made sure to keep schedule even when first bus had mechanical trouble.

A very long day but the best and most relaxing way to get to and from the keys. We rented a golf cart while on the bus (an option offered) which is a great way to see all the town however it was challenging to find parking. For us this worked due to mobility issues but because we have been to the Keys before it was a great choice. Not sure I’d recommend the golf cart to anyone going for the first time unless they are ok with paying for parking and walking long distances once one is found.

Once you arrive in Key West, you're on your own to explore. Map reading is not easy because some streets are not marked.

We were picked by a small van then transitioned to a tour bus and picked up several people to go to Key West. The tour bus air didn’t work probably and we felt line the bus was dirty. We also feel they should supply water as well. The bus driver and host on the bus were good..

Excellent driver and organizer. Organizer did an amazing job of keeping track of all customers on the full bus. He also was very knowledgable and spoke in both English and Spanish. He also got us an Uber to get us to Fort Lauderdale—very appreciated

We enjoyed the bus ride and ease of obtaining information concerning our trip to Key West. The tour guide was very informed about the excursions we could participate in. He was very concerned about making sure everyone was informed and safe throughout the day.

Find out firs which hotel the shuttle will pick you up before booking. You have to pay extra for separate travel. Not enough phone chargers.

Trip was very nice. Pick up was on time. Tour leader was excellent. Only thing was being picked up in Ft Lauderdale, then switching to bus and still having to pick up others, we were driving two hours before the bus was underway to the Keys.

If you are traveling from Ft Lauderdale you will have multiple stops before your trip even begins. Out trip spent 2.5 hours picking up prior to getting on the road. If it is winter and unseasonably cold, highly recommend DO NOT take this trip if you are not a fan of being cold. We were told Florida buses do not have heaters. It was 47 when we boarded the bus. Also I guess the don’t have a defroster either, as they had to turn on air conditioner at 8:30 because the window was fogged and the driver could not see. They did provide tape to cover the vents to keep cold air from blowing directly on us. 50 degrees and air conditioner on with no blanket equaled miserable! Finally, several hotel drop off accommodations were made for passengers. We were the last ones to get off the shuttle and our hotel was less than a mile down on the same street as our drop off, so I asked could we be dropped off at our hotel. It was 10:15pm and was once again cold. We were told no that was not possible. We spent 6 hours in Key West but from start to finish 17 hours. Most of the day is spent traveling. Safe yourself the wasted time….. rent a car and drive!

Day trip from Ft.Lauderdale to Key West was great. Shuttle was on time. Tour guide, Luis, was fantastic. He created a great experience. All four of us really enjoyed the day. The tour company set up an Uber afterwards from Miami back to Lauderdale because their shuttle service couldn’t do it. Flawless, seamless switch and Uber worked well. Great day together and they covered all of the details well.

There were too many hotel drop offs in Miami. It would be easier if all Miama passengers went to one location.

The bus was freezing cold could not change temperature. I became ill because, I have fibromylia and the cold cause it to flare up. It was the most unbearable trip. People need to know to bring warm clothing while on the bus. I feel I should get refunded, $169.00

Our driver Manny did a great job driving and our tour guide Luis did a fantastic job. He told about the history of Key West and had a great music selection.

It rained for us so it made the trip not so pleasant, but still somewhat enjoyable. We had a snorkeling booked but had to cancel due to rain. Luis was awesome! He knew a lot about the area and had good tunes. He was also prepared for things like phone chargers. Manny, the driver was a smooth coaster. The combo was great.

Didn’t go. We were sick. We couldn’t wake up and we didn’t go. We were so excited but it didn’t happen. I didn’t get my money back

The glass bottom boat in key west departs at 2 pm. Which doesn’t leave much time before or after to do much exploring and it was kind of boring. It’s ment for the older crowd!

Loved EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE BOTH TIMES I CAME. ITS JUST SO WARM AND COZY AND CLEAN AND FUN. YOU NEED TO COME !! OR I NEED TO COME BACK, AND I WILL!!

Now, I come from the farthest, the amount of stop was not acceptable. That would be the only rest I would not do it again to many stops. And I think that information should I been available when you booking the trip. You may have 10 to 20 stop before leaving for the trip. But everyone was polite and respectful

This was one of our favorite experiences down in Ft. Lauderdale. It's a long day, but so much fun. We were picked up on time at the hotel location. Then drove to the double decker charter bus. Our guide was professional and made sure he had everyone on the bus. It is a long drive, but loved it. Arrived in key west, instructor gives detailed instructions. He walked us to our snorkeling session, got us signed in and he left. We were to meet him back at the bus at 5:20pm. The snorkeling was great and everyone was so kind. We got some food in key west after, which was delicious. Then headed back to the bus, we slept on the way back and they took us back to where we started. Thank you for a great time.

Easily in my top 5 trips and it’s not 5. Great people and activities. I will be back!! Shoutout to the Old Town Trolley drivers/guides!!

This was a day filled with scenery and lessons about the Florida Keys and Key West history. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, communicating well in both English and Spanish, ensuring that everyone was on the same page regarding available activities in Key West and meeting times and places. The experience was smooth and memorable.

It will be a long day, but it is well worth it. We started out at 5:30 a.m. and returned at 10:30 p.m. Key West is a great day trip to take. Shuttle bus and regular bus was excellent. Friendly and helpful employees.

If you get picked up in Fort Lauderdale. You won’t be dropped back off there. You’ll be dropped off in Miami instead.

Great ride from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West. They did the entire trip without problems. The shuttle drivers were polite and safe drivers. Felt safe with the driver’s skills. The guide had helpful tips for a great day in the Keys.

It was a wonderful trip. I would have changed if l had of known l needed to walk as much as l did. I had a stress fracture, l was in a boot, and it was quite a distance. Everything else was perfect.

Great day in Key West! The stop in Key Largo for breakfast was nice. Charging outlets were not working which would have been been helpful as we spent the night in the bus due to the wild fires that shut the road down

The driver that picked us up in the smaller bus was friendly and the bus was clean and comfortable. The large double decker bus was freezing upstairs on the way to Key West, passengers were pulling out towels and clothing from their backpacks to try and get warm. When I asked the assistant if he could adjust the temperature he said he couldn’t for just 1 person so he asked everyone upstairs and the people that had just gotten on the bus said it was fine but those of us that had been on the bus at the beginning of pick ups were FREEZING and didn’t seem to count 🥶and downstairs was sweltering hot on the way back (It was so hot and humid 🥵 my friend was nauseous). The outlets looked like they were added on some time ago and they were not functioning. The seat I sat in was broken and layed back way too far, I asked if there was anyway to adjust it, he pushed the button and said it wasn’t working, there were no other open seats to move to so I had to put my backpack behind my back in order to set up and that was uncomfortable for the long drive to Key West. I didn’t use the bathroom so I can’t comment on that. The driver was AMAZING with the tight turns he had to make. The assistant was difficult to understand and not very helpful.

It was a very long day but well worth it. Luis was a great tour guide. Key west is worth seeing. But prepare for a long day

The whole Key West experience was very good. The company was well organized with scheduling the pick ups from the different hotels and the transfers to the different buses.

Could not understand the narrator his English was bad and only informed us 5 times about the areas on this 4 hour ride down I expected a long day but this was ridiculous we left Key West at 6:15 and it took 7 hrs to return to Hotel it was 1am I would never recommend this trip.

Overall the trip was fantastic! The pricing for the bus down to Key West was reasonable as with the snorkeling tour. Our tour driver, Manny, and Louis, our guide, were professional and informative. Louis made sure everyone was comfortable, and witty. The snorkeling tour was run by Sabego. The Captain and his crew were outstanding! They were friendly, professional and accommodating. The instructions on how to snorkel were informative and useful. The best part of Key West! The only con to the tour was the amount of time it took to get down to the Keys from Ft. Lauderdale. We made well over 10 stops (some within a block of each other). Great food, drinks and fun. Fun Fact: when you stop for breakfast, definitely check out the Cuban restaurant in Key Largo! Delicious food and friendly staff.

We picked up the shuttle in Fort Lauderdale, which took us to the tour bus. Unfortunately we spent the next couple of hours stopping to pick up passengers from various hotels in Miami before actually heading to Key West. The actually trip to Key West and our 6 hours in Key West went well, and was plenty of time. We did the hop on, hop off trolley. On the way back the shuttle picked us up at the southernmost pickup spot in Miami, so we thankfully didn’t have to sit through hours of stops again in Miami. Wish they would have done that on the way down, or we had stayed near the final stop in Miami. The tour guide was good, but his English was hard to understand. Not sure we would do the tour again, but it was a good way to go without having to drive ourselves.

Prepare yourself for very long day if you are travwling from Fort Lauderdale but it really worth it. Shutťe bus took as to main meeti g point and we had great guide who gave us lots of advices and information. We really enjoyed this experience. Only small comment: you cannot rely on wifi on board unfortunatelly it was not working. It is not complain just information.

Absolutely worth booking! Luis and Manny made our trip to Key West very memorable. Very well organised, long day travelling but time passed quickly with Luis giving us a guided tour. Very well looked after! 100% recommend. Coldplay music on the bus was a bonus.

It was really great would totally recommend so much easier then renting a car and so very very beautiful

It was good because we have never been there and didn't have to drive through the congestion but key west in general is a tourist trap and way overrated. The narrator on the bus was making people pay him cash $20 per seat for the front seats on the bus which was very unprofessional and a big scam. Overall we are glad we did it to see it but would never go back.

Good Day out, bit long! 14 hours. Travel is what it is, time slot on the island could be reduced from 6 to 4 hours, would be sufficient.

The tour guide was fantastic! I would have liked to know that your company was shuttling us from Ft Lauderdale to pick up another bus from Miami. If I’d known this I would have just gotten a hotel in Miami.

We start our trip 5:30 am and we went to our way we stopped in the way few pickup and we head to our stop for stretch and pickup and food or drinks item from McDonald’s then we head to key west stop it in our parking area and we booked snorkeling and we head with our tour guide to the destination we took our boat the cure was excellent and they are not short in bevarage they were generous have good time then we head back
