Booked this trip from Miami to the Sawgrass recreation park. The journey was great and the bus was on time. But the site itself was pretty awful. It’s not located in the Everglades national park and is basically a large attenuation pond. My teenager was bored and tbh, we were bored too. We saw zero alligators and one bird. The zoo/nature reserve was pretty terrible too. Small enclosures and sad looking animals who must have been bored. Cafe is a truck outside, with birds stealing your food. I’d avoid and buy a trip to the real Everglades a little further on.

Airboat ride was OK. We understand chances of seeing wildlife especially alligators is iffy. We saw one bird. The boat driver provided some limited information on the everglades but very minimal. Animal experience was more informative but also limited. One traveler with us went on an airboat ride near Orlando last year and said it was much more informative and saw multiple Alligators and had an extensive wildlife zoo.
To whom it may concern, I recently booked the Florida Everglades Airboat Adventure (Booking #1456844677) for October 15, 2026, with a group of three adults and two children. As we are all Deaf, we found the service lacking in accessibility and engagement for the children. The experience was essentially just a 35-minute boat ride with no wildlife sightings, specifically no alligators. The tour felt unorganized and dull, and I am very disappointed that the children did not have an educational or exciting experience. I would not recommend this tour. I am writing to formally request a full refund of $144.20 for my booking (Booking #145684477) for the Florida Everglades Airboat Adventure on October 15, 2026. Unfortunately, the tour was disappointing and lacked the promised wildlife encounters. As a group of Deaf travelers, we also found the experience to be inaccessible and lacking in engagement for the children in our party. Given that the tour did not meet expectations, I would appreciate a prompt refund. Thank you for your assistance.
Really enjoyed the airboat ride. Would highly recommend!
We were unable to see any wildlife, they did say it is the season. In my opinion maybe this information should be given on the ad so we can then make a decision on if it was worth the risk or not as it wasn't just an off day. Staff in the gift shop were lovely and it was still nice to see the everglades.
We had a wonderful time on the airboat ride. Our guide was fantastic, friendly and informative. At $33 per rider, this is definitely one of the more affordable tourist activities. The reptile area was great too. Enjoyable time from start to finish!
The entire process of purchasing the ticket to getting off the boat was a pleasure. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this tour to anyone who visits.
We had just a wonderful time riding through the Everglades and the breeze felt amazing going about 40 miles per hour. Our tour was only suppose to be for about 40 minutes but our guide didn’t bring us back until he made sure we seen a live Alligator in the water. He was super nice and shared lots of educational information with us as well. When we got back we had a professional picture that was taken of us that we purchased and the 8X10 was o my $25 which was the most expensive print (they have a whole package deal as well). There’s also an exhibit where you can see snakes, turtles and Alligators plus the best part is you can actually hold the baby Alligators. They have a souvenir shop that is very cheap with lots of nice things for you to buy. All in all I would give the experience a 10/10.
Andrew was an amazing guide! We saw an alligator right off the bat. The boat tour was fun and relaxing. The alligator handler who told us about Cannibal and Crystal the alligators they have was so good! He was knowledgeable and gave us so many interesting facts about gators that we did not know! This was a great experience for not a lot of money!
Great experience even though we weren't able to see the alligators on the swamp ride. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Absolutely excellent !!! A must do when visiting the area. Staff is wonderful, courteous and knowledgeable:) Captain Disco did a tremendous job. 5 stars for sure all the way around.
Captain Disco was amazing!!! He was knowledgeable about the wildlife we saw and found a gator right near the end of our tour.
I would highly recommend this tour. The group is professional and very friendly, along with a great facility!
We had fun exploring the area regardless. Come earlier in the day for better chances of seeing wildlife.
Great price, easy to book and find the location and navigate the process to get to the airboat. Awesome gift shop and nature center too! But the ride and our airboat captain (Captain Ron) was the best part. Very fun ride, and exciting at times as well as informative. Would love to go again!
We had an awesome time even though it was raining a bit. Enjoyed the airboat tour (saw 3 alligators), and we got to pet baby alligators in exhibit afterwards.
Great experience! Boat ride was a fun adventure for grandparents down to kids, and the exhibits (especially the gator presentation) were just perfect. Strongly recommend!
Sun protection is recommended...though we had a sudden rain shower! Timing of gator siting are seasonal and variable
Welcoming crew, took much effort to show as much wildlife as possible and keeping safety as top priority. Absolutely enjoyed the experience.
Did not see any aligátor or even close to that, was ride in the boat. Adding to that kid felt unwell so could not come in. They said by the till will refund money but Viator said the opposite no refund by operator. Never again and don’t recommend
Earbuds or ear protection is highly recommended because the boat is really loud when in motion. Tip your captain.
It was fun.. only seen one gator in the wild but the boat ride was an experience.. definitely plan on coming back in the winter months because they said they’re more active than.. definitely must do
It was a good boat ride, captain was very knowledgeable. Prices very reasonable and stuff to do after the ride.
Was great! Easy and quick. Learned a lot, enjoyed the view and now can say I have been in the Everglades.
This was a fun and informative ride through the Everglades! We saw one mama protecting her nest, but it was hot and the alligators don’t come out much in the heat. The reptile encounter was also really neat with a presentation.
Great opportunity to see alligators in their natural environment and the staff are very knowledgeable
We didn’t get to see any gators on the water, so if that’s your only concern, that is a possibility. The ride itself was exhilarating and fun. Something I’d always wanted to do. As a bonus, they have a small habitat with gators (including one that weighs 800 lbs), snakes, other lizards, and nice gift/snack shop. Staff was friendly, ticketing and boarding process was efficient, and the ride was smooth.
Great time!!!! My family and I enjoyed the ride! Staff was super friendly and professional! Will do it again!
Captain Disco was our guide and very informative. We saw one alligator which was good.
The airboat portion was alright. I knew the weather was very hot, so I wasn’t expecting to see many alligators. However, I was hoping to learn more about the Everglades during the ride. Instead, we mostly cruised through the water in silence, with occasional brief stops to look for alligators. We did spot one, but only for about five seconds. The exhibit and presentation after the boat ride were very interesting, engaging, and educational. Overall, I still think it’s a worthwhile experience. That said, I think a short five-minute introduction about the Everglades before the airboat ride would greatly enhance the experience. It would give visitors a better understanding of what they’re seeing and help them appreciate the unique ecosystem, even if wildlife sightings are limited.U
Hard to see alligators in the everglades in the summer. We didn't see any on our ride, but did see a few nice birds. Better in cooler weather.
When it’s really hot, the alligators are not active (only 1 popped his head up and I missed it!). However, it was still very fun and informational.
We had a lot of fun! The ride was smooth and enjoyable but not many alligators in the summer. Maddie, the manager was very helpful with my ticket questions.
I have been on this tour several times and I always take my out of town guests on this tour. And even though we saw no gators on the boat tour; it is not completely unexpected for the summer. However, the gator show after was very different from previous years. The person in the cage did not interact at all with the gators, making the show not exciting. I knew in the previous years that even if my guests and I saw no gators, we were able to see big gators after in the exhibition. Very disappointing to spend the money and see nothing.
There were not alligators at all, the park workers know the alligators will not come out when it is hot, they should not promote that you will see an alligator because that is not going to happen when it is hot, maybe late afternoon or very early you may, may, may see one but you will win the lottery first, the ride on the air boat was OK, but not alligators at all, the captain showed us a couple birds. If you want to see an alligators please don’t waste your time and money.
We have been bringing our Summer Camp here for countless years! The campers love the experience year after year! Thank you!
I did this experience with my in-laws, who were visiting Florida, because I wanted to show them something unique to the area. We had such a great time! The airboat driver was hilarious and made the ride really entertaining, and the staff at the gift shop and throughout the experience were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The entire experience was well done - from learning about the alligators and the Everglades to getting the chance to pet a baby gator. It was such a fun and memorable activity for everyone. As a former Florida resident who has done other Everglades experiences, I can confidently say this was one of my favorites. Definitely a 10/10 experience, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Great view of the Everglades.
Such a great place! The staff was supernice and seemed very knowledgeable, you could tell the genuinely cared about the animals. It felt like a great way to see and learn about wildlife without disturbing it. The airboat was very fun, we were lucky to see several alligators but even if we wouldn’t have we still would have loved the boat trip.
The overall experience was amazing. Our boat captain was very knowledgeable and friendly. He explained quite a bit to us about the gators and wildlife that we saw. It was our first time seeing wild gators other than in movies…haha. I would highly recommend this location for your visit and tour.
Only saw 1 alligator but everyone in my group really enjoyed this adventure
Really interesting trip. Always wanted to do air boat and see Everglades. Family and kids loved it. The grandkids loved the wildlife encounters after the air boat.
Great scenery. Knowledgeable guide. Didn’t see many alligators but there are no guarantees in the wild. Overall a safe and fun experience.
This was so much fun! Our family loved it! Our guide was very informative and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
It's not guaranteed that you will see alligators while on the boat, but, they do have an animal exhibit that you can visit that has more than just alligators. We had to wait a couple hours to go due to the storm, safety first, but it was well worth the wait! We did see a few gators in their natural habitat, which was amazing. Definitely memories my kids will have for life!
We had a great time and saw several alligators while out on the boat. Our initial day for the tour got delayed because of lightening strikes in the area, the team were really great in rebooking for a couple days later. The sanctuary and info sessions were good as well, the food and gift shop were reasonably priced. Highly recommend this for all ages.
We had an amazing tour! HIGHLY recommend! We were there and got the second boat out at 9:30am and it was perfect: saw alligators and birds and learned so much, our guide was fantastic!
So much fun and informative - my 16;18 and 21 year old grandkids enjoyed this- we would love to drive ha!
We went with the Big Bus just because it was convenient with the transportation. If you're close by, do support them directly! Kevin Justin and Shane and the baby croc holder (sorry, didn't catch his name) were all extremely professional and informed. Highly recommend visiting!
It was well organized, fun and inexpensive.
