The tour was very well organized. Two guides accompanied us and ensured that the restaurants were ready for us at each stop. Both guides were super friendly and knowledgable. Plenty of food was included in the tour. Only suggestion I'd have is to include a dessert stop at the end of the tour.

What a wonderful way to experience Winter Park! Although I’ve visited Winter Park many times over the years, our guide, Michael, shared so much interesting information that I now feel like I see the area through a completely different lens. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and so attentive to everyone’s needs and comfort throughout the entire tour. All of the tastings were delicious, but there were a few highlights that really stood out. The olive oil store did an amazing job of not only educating us, but feeding us, too! At BoVine, we had such a great time chatting with Joanne, the owner, while sampling their wonderful sangria. Later in the tour, we visited her Vintage Vault store and had another opportunity to spend some time with her. What an absolute delight! Everything about the tour was enjoyable, and Michael made the experience even more special. I’m already looking forward to returning to BoVine for dinner—and I would happily take another tour with Michael. Highly recommend!
Olive oil & wine stores were excellent. Restaurants' samplings were fun. We had 14 people in our group with 2 tour guides with kind hearts. It's hard to find parking spots on Saturdays. Arrive early and wear good walking shoes.
This walking tour was so fun and definitely worth doing! We got to try lots of tasty things at several local gems, and the walking wasn’t too much at all. We went on a cloudy day, but even then you aren’t outside for too long. I would gladly do another one of their tours!
I had a great time exploring the Winter Park food scene with some of my friends on this tour. As locals, we’ve been to Winter Park quite often, but this was a way to see the city from a new perspective. Lots of great eats and drinks mixed with a bit of town history. We definitely are interested in booking more tours now!
My family and I went on the Foodie Walking Tour in Winter Park, and we had an amazing time. The tour guides Rich and Michael were accommodating, knowledgeable, and entertaining. The food we sampled was delicious and the portions were generous. The guides share lots of fun Winter Park history along with some celebrity stories. We made lasting memories and it ended up being a great family experience. If you're looking for something fun, unique, and educational to do, then you got to give this a try. You will not be disappointed.
I thought this tour was a very great activity for those who like exploring new places. I enjoyed all the history that I learned about this town as well as being able to see the popular spots. The food was very good and each came with a great explanation on the food culture. The tour guides were exceptional and made sure to answer any questions. Overall, I thought it was a wonderful tour.
Michael and Sara were super guides. They were full of knowledge about the area as well as super friendly and helpful. Extra kudos to the two of them for helping search for and find our lost gift. The tour didn't miss a beat. The food was excellent and the locations were beautiful. I would recommend the tour to anyone.
I would definitely not classify this as a food tour . It’s a few stops with a tiny morsel at each stop . We have done several food tours in the past where you go into local establishments and sample something signature to the business . This tour consisted of a sample of a cookie and eclair , an olive and olive oil , a piece of bruschetta ( no fork , which made you lap it up with your fingers , soda and a sip of wine which the establishment advised had little alcohol ( I’m not a drinker so I didn’t mind but those who like wine were disappointed). One of the owners at the Steak restaurant was extremely rude ( this was the place you received bruschetta?) I don’t expect them to feed you steak but bruschetta certainly wouldn’t cause me to drive to Winter Park in the future . The tour guides were nice but again I truly wouldn’t classify this as a food tour.
I was expecting tastings at a few selected high end Park Ave. restaurants. We had a nice tasting at Blu and Choulala bakery. The rest was disappointing. For example, we sampled 3 soda flavors at the candy store and were asked to guess the flavors. We went to a ‘wine sampling’ and received about an ounce of a $14 bottle of wine. Popcorn sprinkled with spices, anyone? The tour guides were pretty knowledgeable and gave us the history of Winter Park and pointed out some popular landmarks. Overall, I do not recommend. We were left hungry and went to eat afterwards.
The two tour guides were terrific! The bits of history were appreciated! However, the restaurants were sub-par. With all the wonderful restaurants on and off Park Avenue I didn't care for the candy shop (we are adults for the most part), Fresh & Co. (which is a chain) and the seafood restaurant (cannot recall the name) that served us bruschetta???
Dan and Sarah were GREAT Guides!! We loved all our stops. We definitely recommend going on this tour!! They did a wonderful job of telling us the History of Winter Park...
Excellent tour guides, interesting history and food stops. Great way to learn about Winter Park with friends
Great variety of stops! Lots of local history! Nice being able to meet in the Visitor Center! Wine tasting at the end was a nice touch!
This was such a fun tour. Lots of food and good drinks! Great conversations also! Book now! Great way to find awesome eats.
The host was really good and the spots were great but it was a larger group than anticipated and some of the people were a little rude.
This tour was very well run. Guides are friendly, helpful and share great history and stories about the city and its people including some well known celebrities. Tastings were delicious and the staff in charge of the tastings were also fantastic. The walking around was not bad at all because you stop at short intervals to visit the restaurants. Even wine was included at the end of the tour with a very kind and cordial gentleman named Lucky. Sorry I can’t recall our two tour guides I’m bad with names.
We had Rick as our tour guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The intro to 5 eating establishments in Winter Park was very informative. The walk was pleasant and Rick added to our knowledge of Winter Park history. We now have more information which will make our future visits more fun and more interesting. The only reason this is rated as a 4 star is that we compared it to our Mr. Rogers Tour with Rick which was a 5+ star performance, the best professional tour we have ever had.
We had never been there before, so that was lovely. We enjoyed the wine tasting as well as the host. Our guides were awesome. Looking forward to returning.
These folks really know how to treat their guests. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. Venue choices were wonderful, the hosts treat us very well and food was fabulous. (Remember - this is a "tasting" and you will get full if you indulge in all the food and drinks. ) Take money with you , 'cause they arrange for discounts at the venue too on the day of tour and you will want to take some of these great items home with you. I WILL be going back and taking all my friends.
I did the Flavors of Winter Park Foodie Tour this past weekend and it was really wonderful! We made about 6 stops and learned about the history of the area. The tour was well organized, and the guides were fantastic. The food itself was amazing - enjoyed getting to know some local businesses in the area! This activity is perfect for all ages! Highly recommend and looking forward to my next tour with them!
The Flavors of the Winter Park Foodie Tour was a nice morning out. We started out at an easy-to-find location with a lot of complimentary, nearby parking. We stopped at a variety of locations and tasted bite size samples of sweets, candies, and Jamaican patties. We liked that the manager of Blu on the Avenue restaurant personally came and talked with us about the restaurant and other nearby ones. Likewise, we liked the food samples at Ancient Olive and Hamilton’s Kitchen. But keep in mind these are just samples, so don’t go hungry. Rich had great tidbits about the history of Winter Park but we wanted more of this. He seemed like he had a wealth of local information, but we only got a little taste of it on this tour. I imagine his ghost tour and Mr. Rogers tour would be interesting.
Michael was a charismatic host! It was so much fun to explore the City. They chose great restaurants and they were so accommodating.
My friends and I do foodie tours quite often. Felt the guides could have talked about their city’s busy while walking. Food: not overly impressed. Since chix filet sponsors it we were given a sandwich then chicken and waffles at first stop. Not well thought out.
Sarah, Mike and Rob are a great team. They kept the tour moving allowing just enough time to enjoy each stop, learn about the restaurant and their offerings. The offerings were very tasty. Each stop offered something different and tasty. Overall a great tour and would definitely try their other tours. Most try...
The tour leaders were great. One of the stops was horrible. Two seemed liked the people working there didn’t want us there. One was even rude!!!!
Our Tour guides did a great job and we’re very informative. They worked well together. The food samples were very good but the portions as most places were quite small. We were given wrist bands that we could go back to the places we visited and would receive a 10% discount. Nice perk except the restaurant we went back to, The Bridge, would not honor that offer. Despite that, the food was delicious! We learned a lot about Winter Park, had a nice time and ate some yummy food.
First off, I want to say the poor rating is in no way a reflection of the tour guides, they were excellent! But… I have been on many food tours, from Maine to Arizona to California and I have never left one hungry as I did on this tour. There were more sweet stops than typical, but a 1/4 of one macaron is not going to fill me up anyway. The few savory bites were tasty but one bite is all they were. My husband and I were both quite hungry after and usually, We both get more than enough food on these tours. The other note I want to make is that nothing really felt unique to the area, it was pretty standard stuff. All in all we still enjoyed ourselves but for the price, I can’t really say that it satisfied.
The tour guides were knowledgeable. The walk was interesting and very doable. They were very organized and the next place was always ready for us. You did not get alot of food. We were still hungry at the end. ( We came hungry)
We really enjoyed our tour. The guides were well informed, and we discovered new hidden gems. I would recommend and look forward to other tours with this company. My only suggestion is to add more savory stops. We had plenty of sweets and it would have been nicer to have some other foods. Overall highly enjoyable.
The Flavors of the Winter Park Foodie Tour was a good time. The starting location was easy to find and even had complimentary electric vehicle parking. We were originally skeptical about a food walk in the July Central Florida heat, but the guides were fantastic about finding shade when they stopped to give us some local history. We really enjoyed the history of the Winter Park peacocks and why the town is called “Winter Park”. We wanted more of this. We visited seven different locations and all the sweets, beverages, and samples were tasty and of high quality. The tasting room was the highlight of the tour because the staff member not only provided a history of his products, but he provided versatile ways of using them. We tasted a salad, chips and dip, and ice cream there. The other highlight was a restaurant that provided a special mimosa and salmon chip. We also visited the Winter Park food market and sampled a Jamaican chicken patty. Four of the visits offered sweets. While this was a great tour for adults, families, and kids, I wish there were more filling, food items and less sweets. Would I go back for one of their other tours like the Mister Rogers tour, absolutely!
Learning the history of winter park and eating some good food!! We had a great time. The tour leaders very knowledgeable!
I was initially super skeptical about booking a food tour but I’m so glad I did & that I pick this one to do it! The food and restaurant to which the company picked were amazing! The tour guides Richard & Sarah were so kind and knew so much material. Both were also super approachable when it came time to ask questions which is always a plus. I would definitely both another tour with this company well worth the money!
We enjoyed all the different businesses we were introduced to and the history provided during the tour. Some of the businesses were hidden gems.
The food and drinks. We had Bloody Marys at one place and Sake at another. We had food at seven restaurants and it was plentiful. And who knew about how much Peacocks mean to Winter Park. The history of Winter Park was very interesting. Liked the tour alot.
Had a really enjoyable tour on Winter Park, the tour guides were very knowledgeable and the food stops were excellent.
Great food, of course, but Rich threw in tidbits of history and celebrity sightings to make this 2.5-hour tour fly by. Do it!!!
We have participated in many food tours in many cities, and were very disappointed in this one. The guides worked hard and were informative, but the food choices were repetitive and meager. We were both hungry when we finished, which was a first on our food tours. Too many sweets locations, we thought.
Great time. Learned about places where I live. Wife’s birthday and tour group took special care of her at every stop. Thank you guys.
This tour is great for someone who loves to experience new places and try new things. As an Orlando area native who frequents Winter Park for the cuisine, I'd only been to one of the stops on the tour prior. Each place provided something unique. The historical information was just an added bonus that brought additional value to the tour. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a unique way to spend a day in Winter Park.
We do the food tours pretty much everywhere we if there’s time and a tour available, and this was by far my favorite right here in our own backyard. The samples were filling and delicious, but we also talked afterwards how much we learned about the food and Winter Park, and the fun we had along the way. Kudos to our guides and Original Orlando. We have a new-go to when guests come to town too.
I am a local who has lived in the Orlando area for more than 20 years. I've never been to some of these venues prior to the tour but they are hidden gems! Loved the tour guide, the info, and all the yummy food!! A+++++
I can't say enough about how cool this tour was for me and my friends. I wanted to book in advance but my plans weren't finalized. I was worried the tour would sell out but luckily we secured our spots. Booking was easy and fast. The tour guide is a local and they were so knowledgeable about the area. We learned a lot of interesting facts and stories about Winter Park, but the real highlight was trying all the delicious food!! OMG. Seriously great food. Like mouth watering food. And a great variety. My friend is gluten-free and the other has a nut allergy and both were accommodated by the venues, just tell the tour guide in advance. After the tour we decided to revisit one of the restaurants because our wristbands gave us a discount. This tour was a real gem and 10/10 would recommend.
We began our tour at the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce. Our tour guide gave us great insight into the history of the town from how the peacock became the honorary symbol of the city to how the area became the playground to the affluent snow birds. The restaurants we sampled were very welcoming and the portions were decent size to get you excited to return!
My friends and I were looking for something unique to do in Winter Park. The foodie tour was super fun and we actually learned a lot. The tour guide was knowledgeable and I got to visit spots in Winter Park that I’ve been missing out on for all these years. Getting 10% off at each shop was great!! I’m bringing my family next month.
We absolutely loved this tour. The food and drink stops were varied and all delicious. Each place did a quick talk about something about the food while we ate that was very interesting. Also the guide gave us brief overviews on Winter Park in between stops that was also interesting. Right amount of food, time and information. We’ll be back!!!
This tour was great! I absolutely love food and this tour provided a great variety of authentic options. It also included a good amount of history of Winter Park that kept me engaged as we were walking from place to place. I’m from the central Florida area but learned quite a bit about this city. My tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I would gladly take the tour again.
