Fishing Charters In Key West Florida

Private trip for my family. Forest was great- very attentive and helpful. Found some good reef sites enabling each of my family members the opportunity to catch a fish. Mostly reef still fishing with some trolling at the end. One barracuda and the rest smaller yellowtail. Got a couple legal size but we were catch and release.

Ben was a great captain and had us hauling in fish left and right. He cleaned and fillet our catch so we could take it to a restaurant to eat that night. Boat was easy to find at the dock and comfortably fit our group of 6.

We just went tarpon fishing with Captain Chad of Tarpon Diem and had an incredible experience. He put us on 5 huge tarpon and worked hard all day to keep us on the fish. He’s extremely knowledgeable, professional, and has a great sense of humor, which made the trip even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a tarpon guide in Key West, I highly recommend Captain Chad. A 100% great experience!”

We booked a private deep sea fishing charter with Captain Forest. He was awesome! Very knowledgeable; engaging and made the trip something we will never forget. His play list was great and we caught 8 yellow tail snapper which he cleaned for us and then gave us a great restaurant recommendation to have our catch prepared ( shout out to Kaya Restaurant!) couldn’t have asked for a better day in Key west! Highly recommend Forest as our captain!

Forest was fantastic. Made sure we had an enjoyable trip and caught a lot of fish. Took care of everything from baiting the fish to cleaning them.

We took our five family members on this tour with Forrest as our Captain and we really had low expectations as we've done these types of excursions before. We thought, at worst it will be a nice day in the sun our on the boat. Forest took us out to the reef and yes, fishing is a hit or miss, but but once he set us up we were hauling in 23"-26" Grouper and Snapper like it was a walk in the park. Even if you are not a fishing regular, Forest baited the hook for us, instructed beginners who had never fished before who were also pulling in fish. Now the dilemma is what to do with all the fish we caught. Gave them some and he was able to give us a strategy to get it back through the plane home. Best experience we had in Key West!

Amazing 1/2 day fishing! We have fished a lot of places- and one thing never changes. Capt and Crew can make or break your day… whether you catch fish or not. Forest ( Capt) and Ben ( 1st mate) were the BEST! We had a great day in general- but the fishing was amazing! They found a hot spot and we just kept reeling them in! I would def do this again- and request these 2 guys! Lots of fish and fun!!!

On our trip we didnt catch many fish thats the way it goes the ride and the view were amazing the part that kinda ruined the whole expierence was after the trip the guy that took us out unprofessionaly made it clear to leave a tip so we left a 50 dollar tip and within 10 min of leaving he was sending me text messages attacking me calling my wife names because the tip he thought was to small but my wife and I work very hard for our money and we saved up for a while to be able to even come to key west and for this guy to insult us for not giving him a bigger tip was unfortunate.I think if we had a different guide the expierence might of produced more fish and a better time

We had the best time out on the water with Forest! This was our 2nd experience deep sea fishing and it was definitely our favorite! My husband caught a beautiful sailfish and few other fish - but the sailfish was the BEST! Forest is a great captain and he is so knowledgeable and full of energy. You can tell he LOVES what he does! We can't wait to meet up with him again when we return next year!

Captain Forest was an amazing guide. He was respectful, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and extremely hard working - moving us appropriately to get on as many fish as possible. Amazing trip! Would recommend this company and Forest in particular. We got our limit on snapper pretty quickly and then went for bigger fish. Forest was very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed it so much we did another trip with Forest the next day. Ready to go back!

This fishing charter was recommended to us through our hotel concierge as being family friendly and a good off shore option to hopefully have a chance at mahi mahi. Our instructions were to meet at 7:45am for an 8am departure. The morning of the trip we were looking for parking and we were a few minutes behind check in and arrived no later than 7:50am. When we walked up, Ricky the captain, immediately asked who we were and said "I called you". I hadn't seen his call from 7:39am because we were finding parking. Then he right away said we'd go bottom fishing. We specifically booked off shore fishing at almost $1k so of course we asked about what we booked. Ricky told us that he wasn't sure if our kids can handle it. We expressed that we thought the waves were a little much the day before but if its safe we'd like to try what we paid for. Upon boarding the boat we were not shown seats. Any other charter I've been on we are shown seating spots and where we can place our things. There was a bench up front that seats 3 and we were a group of 4. Exiting the harbor was a smooth ride so my husband and 7 year old son were standing and enjoying the ride. Ricky did not give any warning that we were about to go faster and would hit large waves. My husband and son fell. My husband's knee was bleeding and my 7 year old was crying out of fear. Did Ricky take the drive a little smoother, slow down, ask if they were ok? Absolutely not. It was clear we were an inconvenience to him for wanting to try the off shore fishing. We told him that we trust his judgement on the water since we are unfamiliar but rather than taking a moment to explain or hear us, he had to prove a point apparently. After this we head to go inshore fishing. The ride out was smoother. We arrive and begin to set up, well Ricky finds that he doesn't have a knife for his bait and wants to go back to get one. Us not having a choice and understanding that mistakes happen agreed it was ok. We start to head in and the ride is rough and he's hitting waves making us bounce around up front again. Then he stops and says, oh I have this other bait we can use. We turn around and set up using his other bait that he cuts with a card. We fished maybe 30-40minutes and do catch a few snapper. On the way back he stopped at a little swim area and we come back in. As soon as we are tied up at the dock and my husband reluctantly gives him a tip, Ricky is gone. The only save out of this whole experience was Gavin who cleaned the fish and engaged in conversation with us at the dock. This experience was not worth half the money we spent, was not worth our time, and was a terrible recommendation from a highly rated hotel concierge. We understand weather elements and things out of anyone's control. But all of our complaints are within control and could have been prevented. This is not the charter for you if you're looking for a good time with family.

My wife and I took a 4 hour trip with Captain Forest. He was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and friendly. When we were not catching fish one way he changed up his strategy and I caught a monsta (Boston accent) barracuda. Thanks Forest

First off shore fishing with adult children in Key West exceeded our expectations with Forest as our guide! We caught lots of beautiful mahi mahi!!

Fantastic day of fishing with Captain Forest on the Coolwater 1! First 30 minutes were rainy and many boats turned around but Forest persevered, got us out to the reefs and the skies cleared. We caught immediately and consistently, never had to move spots. We caught a variety of snapper and a huge mutton! Would absolutely fish with Forest on our next trip to Key West!

Great day fishing! First 30 minutes was raining but cleared up soon. Captain Forest powered through it when a few boats turned back and we had a great day! Caught many snapper - Yellowtail, Lane and Mangrove and a giant Mutton snapper. Captain Forest was motivated and enthusiastic! So helpful and enthusiastic!

Had a great experience on a 4 hour charter despite windy conditions. Captain Ricky was great at helping me (a beginner) and allowing my husband to do more. He really focused on us catching fish. Would recommend and would go back again.

We fished in 30kn. winds and Forrest not only kept us safe but put us on fish!!! We fish all the time on vacation and this was an awesome trip!

Captain Forrest took us to a reef about 6- 8 miles out. My Wife and I caught the limit (20) of yellow tail Snapper on our haft day fishing trip. Forrest was very knowledgeable and had us try to catch other fish and we did, it was a 24-inch black grouper. We released it because it was out of season. Back at our hotel dock, Forrest filleted our fish, and the hotel cooked them for us. Such an amazing experience we had for the 1/2-day fishing excursion.

Had a good time even though Conditions were tough. Forrest made it happen with the right tackle and boat. He has the skills!

Our trip with Captain Forest was amazing. The waters were a little choppy but it was a beautiful day. Captain Forest moved us around a few times to make sure we were making the best of our time. He was also educating us on the type of fish, the bait, the islands, and was just a terrific experience overall. Would definitely book again with Captain Forest and would highly recommend him to anyone who was looking for a great fishing trip!

We took a half day charter from Sunset Key in Key West with my wife and three kids (ages 8, 10 & 13). Our guide, Forrest, was great with the kids and we fished both on an offshore reef catching lots of smaller fish such as yellow snapper then finished the day further offshore and caught three blackfin tuna! All in all great day and couldn’t say enough good things about Forrest as a guide for both families and experienced fishermen.

We went fishing with Captain Ricky on Coolcast 36. Captain Ricky is an excellent guide and very passionate about providing a great customer experience. We caught more fish than we could eat and really enjoyed Captain Ricky's knowledge and stories of his 40 years experience fishing the Key's. I highly recommend Captain Ricky and certainly will go out again the next time in Key West.

We went fishing with Forest & had so much fun! The boat ride was great and the fish we caught were big! He taught us a lot of different things about fish & the area.

Sam was a great host and captain on the Cool Water. Wife and I went together. We loved it. Sam gave good instruction and explained everything he was doing. The water was beautiful and we caught some varying kinds and sizes of fish using different techniques. He was super helpful, played great music. Would do it again and recommend him for anyone.

AMAZING experience. Captqin Ricky took us out to waters 600' deep or so, and we followed a line of debris for a while, catching Mahi after Mahi after Mahi. He was great, took care of everything we could have needed, was great and entertaining company. He was determined to get a Wahoo but that one evaded us. We had the BEST time, thanks Ricky, we'll be sending folks your way for sure!

Captain Ricky was wonderful! Although a part of our group was a little under the weather he still made it enjoyable. My family and I have lasting memories!

Captain Sam is awesome. He was patent with the newbies while also making sure the more experienced folks had a great time. We caught sharks, some throw way fish and good bit for eating. We had them cooked for that evening, Sam will tell you where to go. I am already trying to figure out when I will go out again.

Sam was the man! Absolute best! Knowledgeable and fun!! We do not fish a lot but he was able to teach us along with helping us catch a lot!!

First reef and deep sea fishing with Sam as our guide at the Hyatt in Key West with my 16 year old son. Had a great time, caught alot of fish and thoroughly enjoyed our day followed by the catch and cook dinner at the Hyatt for the rest of our family. Will do again.

My wife had never been deep sea fishing before, so we decided to do a 4-hour morning trip with just the 2 of us. Ben, our skipper was on, the boat was clean, and the ice cooler was full. We struggled to find the fish for the first part of the trip but thanks to a great skipper, we finally found some fish. My wife caught a few dorado, and we had a fantastic time. I would recommend using these guys any time.

We did not get to go. The captain fell ill and had to cancel. Very unfortunate all the way around as this was a birthday gift to my husband. They said they called other charters but everyone was booked.

Best fishing trip ever! Caught 20-plus fish and two several hundred pound sharks! Captain Noah and his first mate were top notch!

We went out with Noah at 8 am today and had such an amazing experience. Not only was he super informative with how to cast the lines but also the kinds of fish we were catching. He made sure we found fish to bring back to have for lunch which we are so excited to have. His boat was so beautiful, clean and had a great playlist going the whole time. He brought us to all the right spots and there were constantly fish on our lines. I highly recommend booking with Noah and we will be sure to again when we’re back!!

We booked a half day charter a few months ahead of our trip, and communication was clear and quick. We met Captain Noah at the slip that morning, and the three of us were very comfortable on the Coolcast. Noah was a great guide and very informative, and we loved getting to eat our catch later that night. Would fish with this crew again any day!

Highly recommend Noah! My husband & I did a half day trip with two other people & almost limited out on Snapper plus caught our first Mahi Mahi!! One of the best fishing charter days I’ve had.
