We participated in the all day adventure and had the absolute best time! Ryan was our guide and let me tell you, he was so friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to spend the day with! It was equal parts interesting tidbits, history, and nature! Everything was so smooth and organized. We got to explore several didn't ecosystems of the Everglades and encountered so much wild life! So glad we booked with Wild Lime and would definitely go again!

It was a great trip, combining a walking tour with an airboat ride. Our guide, Debbie, did an excellent job of pointing out wildlife and significant Everglades facts. The airboat ride featured two stops. We were treated to observing and holding baby alligators, as well as getting close to a live adult alligator and a Native American who had befriended her.
Lots of driving time in van because Everglades are so massive geographically. Left tour with a great understanding of park history and the power of Mother Nature
Much more ecologically sustainable and connected to preserving the land than likely any of the other tours out there. Armando was our tour guide who is so knowledgeable and sweet. I really appreciated his insight into the indigenous practices & customs as well as his depth of knowledge around the medicinal and herbal uses of the flora. Yes ofcourse the alligators were a treat but we were so lucky to also see the babies during hatching season, the crocodile, Frederick, and have the river dolphins jump around and play with us (the manatees were hiding). The museum of the everglades was a lucky detour because we had time. So, yes August might be hot (but manageable with protection) and worth it! Also as everyone said the food (Mahi mahi sandwich) is so delicious too!
We had a fabulous day with a variety of activities…air boating, boating, nature walk and excellent lunch! Most of all, Armondo instilled in us an appreciation of nature and the Everglades. We would do this again!
We had a wonderful time on the Everglades National Park Biologist Led Adventure. Adie was an excellent tour guide — friendly, knowledgeable, and a very safe driver. She made the experience both fun and informative, and we learned a lot along the way. Overall, it was a memorable experience and a great way to explore the Everglades. Highly recommend!
Worth the drive from Fort Lauderdale, knowledgeable staff, they all made it a fun day
We had an awesome day touring the Everglades! This tour was an immersive experience! We visted all the various ecosystems and saw a very diverse range of wildlife including alligators, dolphins, and birds. Our tour guide, Ryan, was very knowledgeable in both local nature and history. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, ponchos, and just about anything you might need. (Trust me when I tell you that you will need the bug spray and sunscreen!) We also appreciated that the tour included local businesses in providing boat rides and lunch. Lunch at Jo'anie's was delicious. This was an experience we will always remember and one of the highlights of our trip!
This was the highlight of my recent trip to southern FL! Ryan was a wonderful tour guide with lots of history to back up the natural world we saw around us, and our excursions were so memorable and fun - we were lucky enough to get to see dolphins in the Everglades on the boat cruise! I'd recommend the full day trip for anyone looking to get away from the busyness of the more typical Floridian vacation, and to any lover of nature looking to see wildlife in their natural habitats. Transportation, food, and itinerary are all handled for you and that leaves you just to enjoy and learn!
My aunt and I had a ton of fun on our trip. Our guide, Armando, is extremely knowledgeable about the Everglades and it’s history, as well as nature as a whole. He is very charismatic and made sure everyone had a wonderful time. I strongly recommend Wild Lime Adventures to anyone of any age. Thanks Armondo and thanks Wild Lime Adventures.
My niece and I had a wonderful full-day tour of the less well-known southern Everglades with Wild Lime Adventures. Professionally and passionately led by a knowledgeable, experienced zoologist, Armando, the tour gave us a renewed respect and appreciation for nature, and the wonder that is the Everglades National Park. A beautiful and unique experience that we will keep with us always.
Armando did a spectacular job of showing us the Everglades, Big Cypress National Preserve and several other sights. His knowledge of the land, animals, and plants is amazing and he gave a great perspective on the Native American history and their relationship with the land. The air boat ride and afternoon boat rides were both really fun and educational. Overall great tour. Highly recommend it.
Ryan's passion and knowledge of the Everglades is second to none. It was great to be able to experience the Everglades in so many different ways on this 1 day excursion.
Excellent experience, and a perfect way to see a variety of environments within the Everglades - from the river airboat, to the thousand islands, and a short hike through the grasslands. Addy was an AMAZING and knowledgeable naturalist guide. I would highly recommend this trip!
Great day with Armando who provided great information and context. Kept my teens engaged. The airboat and boat tour were fantastic and the hike was very informative if a little mosquito heavy.
We had the most incredible day with our tour guide Ryan. My daughter has mobility issues (& we had our wheelchair with us) Wild Lime were incredibly accommodating and this private tour was everything we hoped it would be and more. Ryan was so knowledgeable about the history of Florida as well as about the flora and fauna, we learnt so much! We saw so many alligators, turtles, amazing birds and the highlight of the trip for all of us was the dolphins swimming by our boat round the 10000 islands. Even the lunch stop was an experience! (& yummy!) very different to anywhere we’d eat in the UK. It was an incredible day and will be one we’ll never forget! Thank you!
We spent a fantastic day with our guide, Ryan, and learned more than we anticipated about the ecosystems and history of the Everglades and south Florida. We did the full day tour, and recommend it highly as a way to both experience the area and gain a deeper understanding of the flora and fauna in the region. Ryan was highly knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and offered excellent local recommendations for things to do while in town.
One million stars to Biologist Addy and all those involved! This day was the highlight of our trip! This tour was immersive, informative, organized and delightful. Every place we stopped was ready for us and provided a wonderful experience. We were there for the animals and a 'non-zoo' experience of the Everglades, we were not disappointed.
Great experience. Friendly tour guides.
This trip gave us a good sampling of what is available in the Everglades Region, wildlife viewing on a manmade canal with an airboat, more wildlife viewing from a boat at sea and a short walk with explanations of fauna and flora.
Had a fun and educational day! The airboat ride took us through waterways teeming with wildlife, estuary tour showed us dolphins (they jumped in the boat wake), a ray, and myriad birds. The nature walk took us to a cypress dome where we met Carly the alligator and got lots of information about the ecosystem and plant life. An all around great experience.
Our experience with Wild Lime Adventures was nothing short of exceptional. The day was perfectly curated, combining insightful guidance with a deep immersion into nature. The forest walk was particularly revitalizing — the purity of the air and the serenity of the surroundings created a truly refreshing and almost therapeutic moment. We encountered a remarkable variety of wildlife, making the experience feel both authentic and exclusive. The absolute highlight was the cruise, where we had the privilege of observing numerous dolphins in their natural habitat — an unforgettable and magical moment. A beautifully orchestrated experience that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking something truly special.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Lime Adventures. The entire day was incredibly well organized, and we received so much interesting and valuable information throughout the tour. The walk through the forest was truly refreshing — breathing in the pure, healthy air felt amazing. After coughing a few times, I genuinely had the impression that my lungs were completely cleared, and I could breathe deeply and freely again. It was such a revitalizing feeling. We saw a wide variety of animals, which made the experience even more special. Every moment felt authentic and close to nature. The highlight for me was definitely the boat cruise — seeing so many dolphins in their natural habitat was simply unforgettable. A truly wonderful day that we will remember for a long time. I highly recommend this experience!
We did the full day Dry Hike / Everglades adventure which included an air boat / gulf wildlife boat / 1 hour state park hike. Our guide Enoch was well-versed in the animal and plant life throughout Cypress Preserve, Everglades NP and the state park boardwalk hike. Also, he may have saved our lives once or twice by stabbing the brakes so idiot FL drivers in a big hurry on Hwy 41 passing our tour van (Enoch was doing the speed limit) could gain an extra car length on the traffic without involving us in a devastating head-on collision. The lunch spot in Everglade City was delicious, the air boat ride underwhelming due to the epic drought in FL and very limited areas we could reach, the boat ride to the Gulf through the mangroves led to a couple pods of bottlenose dolphins coming up to our boat for photo ops. We would highly recommend this tour and our guide Enoch.
Adz was a great guide. Very knowledgeable. We had a great day and learned a lot about the Everglades
I had an excellent experience with Wild Lime Adventures! Did an all day tour with tour guide Addie. She was a phenomenal guide! She was so funny and personable and had a lot of passion and knowledge about nature. She told us the history of the area, how different ecosystems work and thrive in the park, and many interesting facts about the birds, plants, gators, and other wildlife. She also included funny anecdotes about her own experiences camping/hiking in the parks. We saw many incredible creatures including alligators, dolphins, birds (roseate spoonbill, osprey, anhinga, swallowtail kites, pelicans), and even a cottonmouth snake (from a safe distance)! Both of our boat tour guides were excellent as well. I absolutely would tour with them again. If you have questions about your reservation or other logistics, I found it was best to call the company and ask (as opposed to messaging through TripAdvisor)! They also reach out the day before your tour to confirm pickups/meetups.
We loved our day with Armando, who is an enthusiastic and engaged storyteller and guide with an incredible amount of info on the animals, plants, and local area and culture. It was a ton of activities and a full day in the Everglades - great value for the cost. Highlight was the boat ride with Gary, the dolphins, and the visit to the historic Smallwood Store. We also appreciated the old Florida stop at Joanie’s for a good lunch (they had a handmade veggie burger and tacos for vegetarian options). Really cool company with a great mission to do immersive eco-friendly nature tours - glad to support them and so should you!
This was an excellent way to see the Everglades up close and personal. I have been here before, but never experienced the Everglades in this way. Of course the air boat ride and the boat cruise to Turtle Island was great…. But the nature walk thru the forest was really amazing. Our guide Armando was a wealth of knowledge… from plants and trees to wildlife of all kinds. It’s amazing to have these diverse habitats so close to Ft Lauderdale! I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to get beyond the highway to experience the true Everglades!
This tour was just as advertised! Our guide was very knowledgeable & gave lots of info as we traveled on the history of the area and current events & had extensive knowledge of the plants & animals that we encountered! I would highly recommend this your!
Taking this all-day Everglades tour in March 2026 with my son was the highlight of our trip. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience, and so much of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Armando. Armando was knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the Everglades. He made the entire day feel personal and exciting, sharing personal insights about the ecosystem, wildlife, and history in a way that kept us both interested the whole time. One of my favorite parts of the day was exploring the Cypress Forest—it felt peaceful and almost otherworldly, like stepping into a hidden side of Florida you don’t usually see. The airboat ride was another major highlight—fast, fun, and thrilling, while still giving us the chance to spot wildlife and take in the beauty of the wetlands. The trip out to the Ten Thousand Islands was absolutely stunning. Getting to visit a remote island made the experience feel even more special and unique—like we had discovered something off the beaten path. To top it all off, ending the day with Armando taking us for Cuban coffee and snacks was the perfect touch. It gave us a chance to relax, reflect, and soak in everything we had experienced. This tour was the perfect mix of adventure, nature, and culture. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Armando as your guide!
The whole tour was excellent. Our guide was Addy and she was very approachable, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout our tour. We got to see tons of birds and alligators. Lunch at Joanie's was great. We also saw some dolphins on our second boat ride to the Thousand Islands. The entire tour is a good full day. Would definitely recommend this tour to people I know who are planning to visit the Everglades. The package was decently priced and worth the money.
I had an amazing time on this tour. Not only educational but lots of fun. There were many gator sightings as well as a nest of eggs on one part of the tour. Another part of the tour took us on a hike to a body of water with a resident gator that we got to view close-up. My most memorable experiences on this tour were stepping onto one of the 10,000 mile islands and following a pod of dolphins. I highly recommend this tour.
Super time wih Adie. She gave a perfect explanation. And the weather was also fine
Very informative and interesting. History and ecology! Our Guide, Mitch, was outstanding. Very comfortable ride to location
Super full-day tour. We saw more alligators on the airboat ride than we could count and the ride was great. The boat ride in the 10,000 islands was really interesting. We didn't see much wildlife, but the bottlenose dolphins were entertaining. And the trip was tied together by our driver/expedition leader Addy that led us on a short trek to see an alligator on her nest. Fun day!!!
Most authentic way to experience the Everglades, didn't feel commercialized. My boys (age 5 and 8) loved it! Saw so many alligators and other wildlife!
Addy was our excellent guide, fun, very knowledgeable. Would recommend this full day tour.
Glad we did the full day to experience nature on land and water. Ask for Addy! She made the day fun and had a lot of knowledge to share. Wild lime Adventures had Great communication with us prior and during trip. Transportation well planned and comfortable. We loved it and hope to be back!
Each part of the trip was fun. We saw a lot of birds, gators, and encountered dolphin quite a few times. Addy is a fantastic, very knowledgeable tour guide.
Addy was an amazing guide. She was very informative and fun to spend the day with. Definitely worth the day trip to the Everglades.
This experience was super fun! BIG shout out to Addy for being super knowledgeable about Florida’s ecosystems, history, geography, and the many birds I got to see and photographed! I especially loved the short hike at the 10,000 Islands. We got to see so many bird species up close.
Through no fault of the operator, my experience was disappointing. The drought and flood control measures mean that water levels are 70% down as could also be seen by the height of platforms above the water on the airboat ride, which was restricted to the man-made canal. So if your main reason for coming across the world to Miami to see wetlands and its wildlife like in the documentaries, do your due diligence regarding the state of the water levels. The owner advised a few days prior there'd be no wet hike for this reason and has kindly promised a price reduction but the drought isn't new and my plans were already made. The colourful character who operates the boat was entertaining but left a sad but feasible take on the future of the manatees. You expect a guide to be friendly and knowledgeable which Lindsay is, and she did the best she could in the circumstances, but I think it would have been appropriate for the extra passenger to forfeit the front seat for keen photographers who've spent hard earned cash and a precious day looking for an opportunistic photo through the window. I try to support local businesses and under better conditions this would be a 5 star tour for me.
Great tour with Armando— super knowledgeable and spent extra time with us. Boat rides were outstanding— bring tips for those excursions.
Armando did a great job. He was very well informed about plants and animals. Fun and personable, accommodating.
What a wonderful day I've had today that I'll never forget. We visited The Everglades, Everglades City, Big Cypress Reserve and The 10.000 Islands. Big shout out to Addy who really looked after us and was so knowledgeable and fun. Thank you Addy! Thanks also to Mitch, who started our tour and to Ben and Victoria for the planning and organisation. A company that runs like a well oiled machine! Would definitely recommend both the company and this particular tour!
Tho was great. Mindi was awesome
I am writing to share my feedback regarding our guide, Mondo. He was truly exceptional—not only was he incredibly knowledgeable, but he was also very funny and made the experience enjoyable. It was clear how much he genuinely cares about the environment and the native people of the region. Thank you for providing such a fantastic guide.
Ryan was a wonderful, knowledgeable tour guide. He was always open to questions & never stopped talking, even the bus rides were full of information about FL history & about the areas & wildlife we were passing by. He was also kind & had snacks & water at the ready. Not only did we see Alligators, but we also saw dolphins, a bald eagle, tons of wild birds, turtles, fossils, & native flowers. Unfortunately there was a wild fire going on, but Ryan pulled over so we could watch a helicopter dump water to put it out. The whole day was full of information & beautiful sites, we 20/10 recommend!
The travel in the van was a bit longer than expected, but it was a great experience. The day was just as advertised. Make sure you have sunscreen! Our guide Ryan was very pleasant and informative!
Ryan has a deep passion and a wealth of knowledge of not only the Everglades, but other Ecosystems, too. His explanations were clear, in depth and thorough. He is a clear and accurate storyteller. Excellent job Ryan! That said, the title is a bit deceptive, as there was no Park Biologist involved at the National Park. In fact, while the boat trip was beautiful, Ryan did not accompany us on the boat, and the boat operator did not provide much information. Fortunately, I think that Ryan’s explanations while traveling to the Park were good enough that I came away with a good understanding of the Park. But some better information while actually on the water would have made the trip even better.
