A fantastic day, from start to finish. We were very lucky in that we were a party of 4 which is the minimum for this excursion. So we basically had a private tour, which was amazing. Morning started early we had to meet up at 7.15. The location was our only gripe. Not because it was unsuitable, far from it, it was because we do not know Fort Lauderdale. Clicking on the link to find the Tesla Superchargers took you to the front of the shopping galleria, the chargers are to the rear. Perhaps use what 3 words for a precise location? We did a reccy the day before to find them so there were no issues that morning. 2 hr ride to the airboat ride, which went quickly due to the running commentary of Rexi, our guide for the day. Airboat ride was the best we have done in 17 years of coming to Florida. At one point the capt did a 360 degree spin in the airboat and stopped. Telling this was the sign for a gator to come and see us. In the distance (about 200 metres) sure enough this dude came to see us. Brilliant. Everglades city for lunch after a few stop offs for a wonder around and have some details given to us by our guide for what we could see. Next stop a gosh speed boat ride through mangroves to the Gulf of Mexico. Unfortunately on the way back a squall came in and we got soaked. The capt did his best to get through it quickly but he couldn’t control the weather. But we laughed and added it to our memories. A 90 minute drive back to the pick up point and I can honestly say, well worth every penny and a fabulous day out

It was very interesting to learn more about the Everglades being here. It was an adventure to say the least. Would definitely do it again. Make sure you have drinks and snacks just in case.
Enjoyable day in nature, saw lots of birds and reptiles.
Great tour! My husband and I really enjoyed this. Rachel was a wonderful guide. Good variety of activities. Weather was perfect until a bit of rain at the end of the day on the way back. Airboat ride was a huge highlight! Lots of neat birds and alligators! Plenty of opportunities to take restroom breaks. We learned a lot!
We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the tour. Pete is an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and attentive to details that we would not have noticed on our own. His insights made the experience truly memorable. We highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an informative and enjoyable experience.
It was a full day tour. It starts with a walk on a trail where you will, see birds and flowers The next stop is an air boat ride. It is an hour long in the Everglades. You will see alligators, birds and natural habitat. Jacob then shows you different snakes that you can hold and a baby alligator. The lunch wad very good at Everglades city. The last boat ride is through the mangroves and Gulf. We saw 1 dolphin, lots of birds . Wrong season for manatees. Jacob our guide and driver was very knowledgeable and pleasant guide. The day was filled with fun experiences and learned a lot from boat captains and Jacob. If you want to see mangroves, cypress, everglades with animals in nature then you will enjoy this tour. Also appreciated that the air conditioned van picked up people in Fort Myers. A five star adventure !
Tour guide/captains were awesome & very knowledgeable Boat tours were awesome & fun Lunch was good Held snakes 😳☺️ Great for all ages
A phenomenal experience from start to finish - our guide Jacob was knowledgeable and fun leading our small group, pointing out birds, critters and flowers along the Nature Walk. The Airboat Ride brought alligators galore and more birds than I can count. Lunch was good, too! And the Boat Ride around the Ten Thousand Islands area in the Everglades topped it all off with dolphins following our boat several times. If you have a day - spend it with this tour!
This company operates like human beings rather than just "reading a script." This is a compliment! It is rare and appreciated. An issue came up, and the owner Pete took care of us quickly and we were still able to go on the tour because of his flexibility. Mo was our tour guide, and she is fantastic. She is full of knowledge, clearly cares for the ecosystems of the Everglades, and pointed out a variety of birds and lizards to us. We had a great time, and as a photographer, I was able to capture some great shots.
Really great trip! All guides were extremely knowledgeable. The food was mediocre but the activities were great. On the boat ride we saw dolphins and different types of birds. Saw several gators on the airboat ride. We did do a little bit of a hike so make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
Great experience. Highly recommend for family of all ages!
It was a great trip and An amazing day
It was absolutely amazing! The guide was beyond words amazing! He pulled over when he saw an animal and let us take pictures and gave details about it life and habitat.
The guide and the tour were great! We got to see many birds, alligators, dolphins, a manatee. I like the small group size and all the history of the area that we learned during the tour.
We had a wonderful time from start to finish! Our guide Rachel was very knowledgeable and friendly. The trip is well organized and a very reasonable price for all that is offered (pickup from hotel, lunch, park walk, two boat rides, and transport back). 10/10 recommend!
What an amazing experience. Our guide Julio was lovely, hugely knowledgeable and enthusiastic and could not have made the trip more interesting. Sadly we went just before start of rainy season so access via the airboat was limited, but the mangrove boat trip was one of best experiences I’ve ever had with our wonderful captain Gary who had lived his whole life By the mangrove forest and it showed. Amazing dolphin experience chasing the surf behind the boat will never be forgotten and Roseate Spoonbills were beautiful. Thank you so much Julio and Gary for an unforgettable experience. Book it now if you’re reading this and in 2 minds!
Both the boat ride and the airboat tours were good, although a little pricey. I’ve been to Florida many times. I’ve NEVER seen so many wild alligators in one area. They were everywhere! Tons of birds. Our tour guide Mo was very knowledgeable. We’ve been on many day long tours all across the world. Almost all bring water for their guests. I’d suggest that. All in all, this tour was a 4 out of 5 and worthwhile.
What an incredible day. Our guide Rachel was full of information. We got a great flavor of the Everglades and would do this trip again.
This excursion was the best we have ever been on. Mo was anazing! The boat drivers Will & Fred were great too! Thank you for such an amazing day!
Very fun. Great tour guides. Very knowledgeable about the birds and animals. Saw lots of alligators and a huge variety of birds.
Very educational, our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Best if you plan on bringing snacks and water to make it through the day especially if you have children. Would definitely do it again.
Wonderful tour. It was a long day but broken into parts making it very enjoyable. I enjoyed every part of the trip learning about Florida landscape, birds and animals, both land and sea. The lunch had a very good selection of food of which I could have chosen a couple of different options. Really enjoyed and would recommend for all ages.
Extemely fun. Beautiful walk thru Crew Preserve seeing a lot of birds. Our guide Jacob was so knowledgeable. Airboat ride fun and boat ride thru mangroves drew lots of dolphins around us. Very enjoyable trip.
Our day long Everglades adventure tour with Day Safari couldn't have been better. There were only 5 in our group so we had our individual questions answered by our knowledgeable naturalist guide, Julio. We learned so much about the animals and plants in the Everglades that we felt we were on a Road Scholar trip. We saw more than 50 alligators, 19 species of birds, 16 manatees and even 2 dolphins. Our trip included lunch at a local restaurant which was delicious (I had the blackened grouper sandwich basket, but there were many choices). Our tour was a very good way to experience the Everglades.
What an amazing tour. Full day. You see and learn so much. 2 excellent boat rides and nature walk. Lovely lunch. Our guide was Mo and she was outstanding and so knowledgeable of all animals. We saw so many birds alligators and dolphins. Can't wait to do it again next year
We enjoyed the entire day with Rachel. She was very knowledgeable on the birds, reptiles and the area. Started with a loverly walk/hike where there were many different birds and some alligators. The boat ride around the mangroves was interesting. Lunch was very good, with a wide selection. Finishing with the airboat ride, where the alligators were numerous.
What a great experience! Emily, our guide for the day was awesome!
Awesome tour! The tour is worth the cost as the tour group is small which is nice. The length of the tour is a full day, but again worth the time!
Our guide and the other guests were great birders and that made the trip more interesting. We saw so many birds, including some rare ones. And I never expected to see so many alligators! It was a very well-organized and nicely-paced trip. Recommend it!
Awesome guide and well organized! Rachel (our guide) was fantastic! For someone with no familiarity with the Everglades it was a fantastic interduction
We had a terrific time on our tour. Emily, our guide, was extremely nice, and very knowledgeable about all the wildlife we saw. The tour allowed us to see multiple different ecosystems including the gulf where we had some dolphins swim along side the boat, an airboat ride where we saw an enormous number of gators, and a walk through a nature preserve where we saw a huge number of different bird species as well as manatees.
Well worth it! Great way to get where we wanted to go, and see what we wanted.Rachel was our guide and kept everything on schedule without making anyone feel rushed, answered all questions and many we did not know we had!
Unbelievable tour , excellent tour guide very passionate & knowledgeable! Got to see all the amazing animals and really got to see the Everglades. Had our own personal tour due to low tourists. Highly recommend paying the extra money for a full day !
It was a great day!!!! So many birds, it honestly felt unreal. Rachel was fun and knowledgeable, and you won’t be disappointed.
What an awesome day with Rachel and Everglades Eco Safari! We’ve lived here almost 25 years and learned so much about SWFL! Saw Alligators, dolphins and so many BIRDS! Rachel was so knowledgeable and fun. If you haven’t done this— it’s time!!
From the pickup to the return it was fabulous. Rhett, our pickup driver was so knowledgeable reptiles and Florida and he was a great guy. Fred, our airboat driver found so many crocodile and birds! Super fun morning!
Well done from start to finish. We did a private tour for our 9 person family. It was extremely fun and educational. Facilities were nice (van, stops, lunch, etc.) and we had a great time. Mo was the guide and was excellent. She knew history as well as environmental details. She was pleasant and not overloading. Mo was a perfect 10. Would certainly not hesitate to use them again. Ask for MO if you go. She was the best.
This trip is outstanding! Our guide Mo was very knowledgeable. Both boat captains Fred and Dave were outstanding.
Just fantastic! It is exactly what you would hope for on a proper everglades trip. Felt like we really got to see some different areas and learned a lot about it s development. Also we could see a lot of wildlife ranging from alligators over fantastic birds all the way to dolphins, safari is definitely the right word to describe it. Thanks!
This full day adventure is worth every penny. Pete, who is the owner, was amazing. Every activity was well timed and executed. The nature walk was very informative, the air boat ride was incredible. We saw hundreds of birds and dozens of alligators. Lunch was delicious and Pete called in the order ahead of time. The boat ride through the ten thousand islands was so enjoyable. We had dolphins jumping out of the water and following the wake of the small boat for a long time. We also saw an island with hundreds of white pelicans. We truly can't say enough about how professional and knowledgeable Pete was. We also want to thank Emily. Emily was being trained by Pete this particular day. Thanks for a great time.
If you are short on time, don't want to drive, or would like to be able to ask questions and have a knowledgeable person respond, book this tour. The airboat ride was amazing, alligators swam right by us and we even saw babies. The walk was interesting and the saltwater excursion showed us pelicans and dolphins among other things. It is a long day for the younger ones so pack a book or two to keep them entertained on the drive. Bring cash for tips.
My wife found Everglades Day Safari with an online search, she hit the jackpot! Rachel was our guide, she was outstanding. There were two gentlemen that operated and were the guides on the boats, they were also wonderful. All three were knowledgeable of the area and showed a true interest in us having a good experience. I should not leave out Pete, the owner, we spoke to him when we booked our tour, again a great experience. I have nothing but kudos for Everglades Day Safari!!
Our experience was unbelievable and greatly exceeded our expectations. Pete was an excellent guide; he was very knowledgeable and worked hard to make our day perfect.
All parts of the safari were great. Loved seeing the baby alligators on the airboat ride. Our host, Mark Hamilton Quinn, was great. He had great stories and was very knowledgeable. I’d recommend this trip to anyone.
A trip in the Everglades is something we all looked forward to doing. It was a great day and we got soaked towards the end due to the weather but a superb day. Mark Quinn our host and guide was so knowledgeable and easy going it was like having a family member on a day trip. The other hosts for the various boat trips were also very accommodating. The parrots at the airboat centre were really vocal and singing along to various tunes. Recommend this 100%. Pete thank you for making all this happen. Mark huge thanks to you too.
The day was filled with hiking, air boating, bird watching and finally a boat ride out to the 10000 islands. Lunch was at a quaint restaurant.
Outstanding day... Our tour guide Heidi picked us up at the designated pick up point right on time. We were a small group, my wife and I, and a mother and son, and her parents.. Heidi started us off on a short nature hike (about a mile and a half) she was very knowledgeable and explained the eco system thoroughly. Then we traveled a short distance and boarded an air boat for an hour ride. We saw lots of birds and alligators. Next drove to the island had lunch and then boarded another boat to see many more birds, dolphins, and even a loggerhead turtle... Then back to the pick up point... Great day.
The Everglades safari excursion turned out to be the highlight of our vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed all the activities and sights that were delivered as promised. We learned a lot thanks to our guides narration. We saw a lot of birds and alligators, and we had fun. When making our plans for this, our communication with Pete, the owner, was great. He helped us a lot and was always easy to work with when we booked through him by phone. We recommend doing that for a personal touch. The only problem we had was that our guide, Marc, was so good that he spoiled us — so much so that none of the guides we had on excursions on our cruise came close to measuring up to him. He was knowledgeable and kind, and he went out of his way to help us. All in all, we were very pleased with this tour and thankful that we went on it. We highly recommend it.
Awesome experience! I love that it was a small group (6 people). Our guide Pete was just fantastic. So friendly and knowledgeable about everything. We saw tons of wildlife- birds, gators, dolphins, butterflies - and cool trees and flowers. Both boat rides were really fun and lunch was delicious. It really was a great adventure and I highly recommend it.
Heidi is so fun and so knowledgeable and passionate about the parks and the animals. Such an amazing experience!
