Excellent 2 hr tour. I think we saw every bird in the area. We even encountered a manatee in one inlet. Guide was a total pro.

Don was our captain. He was friendly and provided a lot of info on the local flora and fauna of the area as well as the Colusa Indians and early settlers. It was a chilly day and unfortunately we didn’t see any dolphins or manatees but learned a lot and enjoyed our trip. One suggestion, add a cushion to the bench seat. There are 4 cushioned captain chairs and one hard bench seat for two. Thanks Don!
We were having trouble finding an outing that was enjoyable for my entire family, ranging in age from 16 to 88. This did the trick. Everyone loved it. The price was reasonable and our guides were friendly and knowledgeable. The length of the tour was perfect for my older parents. And it was absolutely beautiful and peaceful being on the water. Plus we saw lots of dophins.
We took this tour with Captain Don this afternoon. It was me and my girlfriend and we are both 71. Turned out it was just the 2 of us and the experience was amazing. First, the boat is small but there were very comfortable cushioned seats. We stayed dry the entire time. Captain Don was a great guide. He was so knowledgeable about the wildlife and made short stops along he way to educate us about the birds we saw giving us great details about each one. We mentioned that we went on a shelling tour where our guide, although nice, knew nothing about shells. So Don brought out a special box of shells and told us in detail about each shell and how they were formed. I would highly recommend this tour and hope you get Captain Don as your guide.
We had a fantastic tour with Dale as guide. He has great knowledge of the area, it's history and all the animlas. Can highly recommend it.
It was a very chilly day ; dressed in layers and was fine. Enjoyed seeing the dolphins and shelling was a special treat. Captain Kevin and 1st mate were great.
We had a great time. Captain Matt was very knowledgeable and a very nice guy. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.
Matt was very knowledgeable and friendly. He showed us many things and it was a really good tour. Very enjoyable and worth the money.
Great guide and information, beautiful tour, experience was first rate. My family thoroughly enjoyed it.
Guide very knowledgeable and personable. Great experience. Captain Dan answered all our questions. Very informative.
The perfect boat trip for us (it was just the two of us, our two year old daughter and the captain). The captain showed us a lot of the nature of the thousand islands and the wildlife including many different birds such as pelican and osprey kn their natural habitat and he told us a lot of very interesting information about the nature and the wildlife. He also set my husband up perfectly for great photo shots! We very much recommend this tour!
We had such amazing time exploring and learning about Everglades and dolphins, thank you to our Captain! 8am was the best time to start this interesting day). Highly recommend this company. You won't be disappointed
Wonderful experience with our guide Matt. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the mangroves and aquatic life. Recommended for any level of kayak experience. Had a great time and wished we could have stayed out all day!
Guide very helpful in looking for dolphins And nesting egrets and osprey and spoonbills Boat very confortable We even had a tripod set up
This boat ride had been paused since Ian, however it recently re-opened in a temporary location as the park headquarters and harbor is being rebuilt. The boat tour was very good. We saw a lot of wildlife, including osprey, bald eagles, and dolphins.
Very knowledgeable guide. He told good stories and was very accommodating. Such an awesome and relaxing ride.
We 've choose to visit Ten Thousand Islands with this company. The boat starts from Chocoloskee island, we was a small group of 5 people on the boat ( this is the best, not a large amount of people screaming) so you can appreciate better the natural sound. We saw some birds and dolphins.
Very enjoyable two hours seeing the wild life around the Everglades. Only four of us on the trip on a very comfortable boat with Dan our experienced guide. Highlight were the dolphins playing alongside the wake of the boat - so so close - fantastic. Also some some nice birdlife - giant heron, ospreys and a hornbill. Met as arranged outside a (closed) cafe but meeting point was just round the corner from Havannas cafe - great place for a snack, coffee and lunch. Really good trip :)
Enjoyable but invest a bit more in comfort on boat - at this price, should have more comfort and shade. Other comparable boat tours have this. That said, good experience.
Excellent time on the water! Boated close to dolphins for most of time which was excellent. Great details on the birds and ecosystem of the Everglades! Nice to just have a small group of 6 on boat! Highly recommend.
Booked last minute, but we enjoyed a marvelous trip. Only the 2 of us, with Joe as our private guide. We can only confirm what others have been mentioning: Joe is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. He gives this trip an extra value
Danny took us out and showed us the wonderful mangrove delta. He took his time explaining us about the wonders of nature. Thanks Danny!
I completely understand you can't control wildlife so may or may seen wildlife on a tour such as this. We saw a few birds and a brief sighting of a couple of dolphins. I feel when a tour is this much of a failure for the price you pay, some type of consolation should be offered, at least offer a little bit discount on a return visit. Very Disappointed after reading all the great reviews!
A very nice tour of the mangrove swamp. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. We saw some ospreys nesting and other interesting birds. We looked for dolphins, but it was a little cold and they weren't around. Stop at the Hangout for lunch beforehand - great subs.
We had such a great time on our boat tour with Dan today. We saw several egrets nesting, a parent and one year-old bald eagle, a roseate spoonbill, pelicans, lots of other birds, and dolphins who played around the boat for a long time. Dan was very knowledgeable about all the wildlife and ecosystem. We had four adults and a 1 year-old and this was a great trip for a little one. The boat is quiet and a smooth ride. Well worth the price for a private tour.
We had a great tour, seeing a nested Osprey couple, an Eagle building a nest, sunbathing Pelicans, lots of playful Dolphins including a mum and her pup, and a couple of endangered Saw Fish. Our guide had a ton of knowledge about the critters, the Everglades, the surroundings, and answered all of the questions we peppered him with! We especially appreciated that he texted the day prior to see if we wanted to change our tour so that we could enjoy the high tide, thus more wildlife. The boat is quiet and they only take 6 people max, so it is a great choice for full enjoyment without the touristy feel of other options. It was spendy, but no regrets.
We saw 5 dolphins and a couple even played in the wake of our boat. The scenery was beautiful, the guide was knowledgeable. Everyone had a wonderful time!
Amazing ride! Saw horseshoe crabs mating & endangered fish. Guide (Dan?) was personable, knowledgeable, & passionate about the area. Also don’t miss the giant sub sandwiches at the meeting location.
Phenomenal tour in the Everglades National Park! Loved that the boat wasn't a fan boat with the loud motor. Our guide Dan was more than knowledgeable and showed us dolphins, manatees, fish, mangrove forests, oyster beds, and several birds. Since alligators don't live in saltwater, he even recommended a place we could go and see them inland. Be sure to get lunch at the Hangout restaurant next door. The subs are East Coast level with amazing bread. Can't wait to do this tour again next year!
This place has horrible customer service skills. We got lost on the way to our tour so we missed our whole tour.I know not there fault. Tried to call and reschedule for the next day or later in the week but nobody ever would answer the phone. Then I tried to aleast get a refund because I didn't get to do the tour and was just gave the run around. SAVE UR MONEY GO SOMEWHERE ELSE
Absolutely spectacular. Captain Dan was a wealth of knowledge and showed us dolphins, spoonbills, and baby pelicans.
Captain Kevin was amazing and knowledgeable and my son, who is 13 and doesn’t like boat rides, was very comfortable and enjoyed it (inasmuch as a 13 yo can). Highly recommend. The shelling was really great and we got to see some bonnethead sharks, along with a dolphin. I would recommend doing the morning tour instead of the afternoon one, as I think you will see more wildlife in the morning - and the tide might be higher so you will get more dolphin sightings.
Thank you Daniel for the wonderful trip, we really enjoyed our time and learning about the wildlife! The dolphins playing in the wake was awesome! Highly recommend!
Thank you, Dan for a great time! My boyfriend and I went out for a two hour excursion and were not disappointed. Dan told us everything about the salt water ecosystem and the coastline. We saw some beautiful wildlife and the views were gorgeous. We drove 2 hours to take this tour and we’re glad we did!
Dan had this group of dolphins chasing right behind our boat and leaping out of the water . I think they had as much fun as we did . Thanks Dan for a great trip , see you again soon
What an amazing trip. We were picked up promptly from our given rendezvous by our driver / guide and immediately put at our ease. The boat was sturdy and comfortable with just our party of four on board. We set off for an absorbing adventure that got us close to some amazing wildlife. Our guide’s knowledge and experience of the 10,000 islands allowed us to get see a extensive range of beautiful birds and even a number of playful dolphins whilst learning so much about the biodiversity of the Everglades and surrounding area. If you want to get to know the real Everglades – I can’t recommend this trip highly enough.
The Boat tour was a highlight of our Miami trip! We chose this option instead of an airboat and were so glad we did - the airboats are very loud (need earplugs) and you cannot take them into certain areas of the Everglades because of that noise pollution. This was a small, quiet boat that allowed us to get close to the wildlife and enjoy them without scaring them. We got to observe many different birds nesting including a bald eagle, see mangrove forests, get off the boat to take a walk along a quiet strip of sand, and have the amazing experience of seeing 3 dolphins play along with us by chasing the boat! The tour guide was a great captain, very knowledgeable about the wildlife and Everglades, and cared about taking care of the natural habitat! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience the Everglades!
Don was extremely knowledgeable about that entire area which made it a very fun and interesting tour. We learned a great deal and enjoyed his company!
The most enjoyable parts were being out in a boat in great weather, meeting my first “live” horse shoe crab, and learning a bit more about the origins of the park/islands etc from the guide. Some of the info was already familiar to me and I’d seen other parks like the Robinson Preserve. I greatly enjoy cultural anthropology and archeology so wouldn’t mind more of that focus. Also maybe just a kayaking excursion. Thanks again!
Small quiet tour, our boat was only the 4 of us and our guide. Very private. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and friendly. We saw amazing wildlife, and beautiful sites!
Excellent wildlife tour filled with tons of interesting information. Glenn was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed hearing the stories and learning more about the area and it's history. I would definitely recommend this for all age levels (we had a 12 and 15 year old on board).
Don was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable about the Everglades area. It was a beautiful, warm day with a nice breeze, so the trip was very enjoyable. We saw several dolphins and lots of birds (herons (even a white one), pelicans, cormorants, and ospreys). The shell wall made by the Indians was a sight to behold. It was amazing what they were able to do so many years ago. Overall, it was a great trip and highly recommended for all.
We took our son, daughter in law, and two small grandchildren on the two hour tour. We saw lots of egrets, herons, other wading birds, ducks, ospreys, and even a bald eagle. Captain Dan was very helpful with his extensive knowledge of the area, its wildlife, and the mangroves. He also did a great job keeping an eye on how the little ones were acting, and put in to a beach mid-way through the trip so they could run off a little energy. Really a pleasant experience.
Perfect day on the water, with a fabulous Captain Glenn... informative, learned quite a bit, he was knowledgable and personable. Didnt dissapoint, many dolphins following the boat and an amazing array of beautiful birds. I would recommend this excursion and do it again!
Dolphins and shelling were good. The Captain and his lady crew member were helpful and knowledgeable throughout. We hope to return again next year! Thank you
The birds were amazing and seeing dolphins was a delight. The guide was knowledgeable but you had to work a little to get him talking.
Great tour guide! Very personable and full of information. Wonderful views and a great time! Loved the size of the tour!
A superb trip Don is incredibly knowledgeable and an excellent and pleasant host. We really enjoyed the trip and learnt a lot.
We left right on time and had a perfect day to learn about the Everglades, the water, and the wildlife. We got to see many different birds, crabs, and dolphin on the tour. It is clear that the guides are experts in navigating the water. They patiently answer questions about the area, the history, and the animals. While their social media covers the kayaking tours almost exclusively, the boat tours are outstanding in their own right.
We had a terrific time on this tour with Captain Glen. We saw plenty of dolphins and a lot of different birds throughout the trip. Stopped on one island that had all the seashells you would ever want! Glen was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. He was a terrific guide for us. Highly recommended trip. Probably our most memorable experience this year in the Naples area!
