Everything was great, we had a wonderful time. When we went to check in for the tour we were told we needed to pay an additional $2 cash for the park entry. Which is fine as it’s not much however we didn’t have any cash or physical credit card with us. And the experience is listed that it includes the park entry, so that was quite annoying to start with. But once we were on the bus everything was great. It does seem they over book the tours so definitely arrive early and stand near the vans as some people in our tour got left behind. We got to see an alligator and its babies in the river 🥰

Reviews
Brilliant airboat tour of The Everglades. Guide Dan, a veteran of 30 years in the park was funny, knowledgeable and welcoming. He obviously knew the alligators well calling their names to bring them out where we could see a mother and 2 babies. After the airboat ride there was a fantastic talk about the wildlife in the park with a knowledgeable and personable keeper in a pen with 4 alligators and a baby. Great price for such an interesting tour. Would recommend.
Don’t waste your time nor money and DEFINITELY do not use this company! Not great! They overbooked the tour by four people even after checking most participants in. One group booked through Viator, one through hotel and one at counter. They didn’t realize it until the van was being loaded. The driver didn’t speak English & Customer service rep wasn’t much better. A heated discussion took place at the curb as she tried to sort it out. WHAT A MESS! Family of four left behind. Tour was not worth the time and effort. It’s an hour drive, if traffic is not heavy, to the Everglades. Airboat ride is short as is the informational session the follows. Restrooms at that location were filthy. No food available other than very expensive drinks and snacks. The van was clean and newer and driver was pleasant. That’s the best thing to be said. Very disappointing.
Tour operator gets a 1, experience at the park gets a 5 so overall gets a 3. If you have your own transportation, drive out there yourself and save a lot of time and money is the short version. We showed up at the meeting spot at 8:30 for a 9:00 departure. Operator showed up at 8:50, bus left at 10:30. Parking cost us $85.00. Park entrance was supposed to be included but was not so had to pay that. Took pity on the poor guy trying to check in 25 people for various tours (despite arriving late for work which was his own fault) so did not take it up with him but will with Viator. Airboat ride and wildlife show were great so no complaints there but could have done that on our own for a lot less waiting around.
Was so fun and our guide was entertaining We got to see a few of the momma gators And enjoyed a show with the ones in captivity
Had a great time on the airboat, the bus was overbooked and. Some people chose to make there own way to the boat. I wish we had too!
The actual tour was very good and would highly recommend. The 1* review is against Miami Tours. They arrived 20 minutes late for departure after advising us to be there half hour before departure time. They then overbooked the tour by 2 people so they put a park bench unsecured with no seatbelts in the boot of the minibus for them to travel in. On the way back the driver refused to ask the 2 overbooked passengers return to the boot which they had agreed to travel on so my husband and I were left without our seats that we had pre booked 2 months prior to our trip. The driver said we had 2 choices to get in and travel back in the boot or get left at the national park and find our own way back. Miami tours could not of been more dismissive they do not care about safety of passengers they just want your money. Also expect to pay an additional fee which is the park entrance which isn’t included in the price of the tour. I would not recommend Miami Tours in Lincoln Road. Use one of the surf style stores that also sell tours.
The boat ride was fun, wish it was a little longer. Wish we saw more alligators in the water but over all a good time
We booked , payed a hefty amount but They didn’t show up on the day of the booking and we waited for 3 hours , still waiting for our refund
It was an amazing experience my family really enjoyed it. I think the show was the best part. It was great
We arrived early and the staff was very kind, but the building was in rough shape and not clean. Ceiling was caving in and spider webs were all over the ceiling. We were made to think it was a double decker bus, but loaded up in vans. We get to the tour and were told we would have less than an hour to explore (all of us were under the impression we would have between 2-3 hours since they advertised 5 hours and it took almost an hour to get there and get back). The Everglades tour faculty was again nice, but that’s where it stopped. We were loaded on the boat and were told of areas to look for the gators, but it was lack luster. You run along the same path has all the other boats, so all animals disappeared. We knew that there was no guarantee to see animals and were ok with it, but the tour and commentary from the Guide was lackluster. We were out for maybe 30 minutes (instead of what we thought was 40-60 minutes) came back and saw the reptile show. The Guide was nice and showed a few things, but was done in about 15 minutes. The speakers in the reptile show did not work and was hard to hear some. Bathrooms were in need of repair and we had zero time to look around before being put back on the vans. The driver of our van definitely was speeding and prepare for whiplash. Tips were mentioned NUMEROUS times, which we normally give, but not this time. Overall it felt very much like false advertisement. I would strongly recommend spending the money on a private tour or trying out Holiday Tours instead! It stinks that we were only in town for the day and this was for my husbands birthday. Better luck next time ! Everyone in our van felt the same way.
Came here at the end of July 26 with my wife and 4 children...WOW!!! What an experience! The air boat ride was exhilarating and so fulfilling. We got to see 4 gators along with various other wildlife (birds, turtles and fish). This was a bucket list trip for me and when the boat got speeding and drifting I could not believe I was experiencing it. Our captain, John, was very friendly, funny and informative. The wildlife show after was fantastic, delivered by Tom. He made it such an interactive and humourous presentation. Our kids were so fascinated by the huge predators on show on such close proximity and how Tom interacted with them. The transport to and from was great. A large transit van with air con taking 50 mins either side. We would definitely recommend this and is great value. We have been in Florida for 2 weeks now and this has by far been a big highlight!
Great value trip. Price ($47) included bus transport from Tourist office in South Beach 50 minutes there and back & entry to the Gator park. Airboat through everglades lasted 30 mins (scheduled 20 mins). We saw 3 gators close up with opportunity to take photos. Skipper Dan was amazing calling them out to see us. Finished with 30 minutes in outdoor seated lecture area where John explained their behaviour & history in the area and there were 3 more captive gators & a baby salt water crocodile! Gift Shop at the end with nice souvenirs & some coffee, snacks & ice creams. Well done everyone there on a great visit.
Great trip! Travel to and from on an air-conditioned bus, great tour guide on the airboat and great informational show Got to see plenty of wildlife.
The airboat ride was so much fun. When it speeds through the marshes it's unforgettable. The alligator show was also good and funny.
Unfortunately it was the time if year were Allagators are in their mating season, so not much sign of them when we were out in the boat, the show was fun and light hearted but very informative, I'd recommended, id have given a 5 if seen an Alligator in the wild
Book a tour to Everglades on April 28, however when I reached the checkin they mentioned the park was on fire and rescheduled to next day. On April 29 I went again there and the park still on fire, so I requested the refund, they refused and said that it was not available, only a ticket that does not expire. I feel I got robbed and there’s nothing that I can do.
Great fun if a little loud. Don't go in wet season you won't see anything. It's just an air boat ride.
The time in the park was great! Guides there are awesome. Super friendly and knowledgeable. The place is worth the visit as you'll encounter many wild animals and the show is quite fun. The only thing I didn't like is that the tours office was dirty and it didn't have a toilet or internet. We arrived earlier and they were not flexible enough to keep our bags for a moment and check us in, so we had to carry them for one hour more. But the Indian coworker she was friendly and kept an eye on our staff while we looked for a toilet. The bus driver was nice but I didn't like I felt he pushed us to give a tip, something that is not a common practice in our country.
The driver had us wait for like 20 min in the van before we left and then he turned around and came back because people arrived late that was a little annoying the airbout tour was awesome tho
It was confusion from the time we met at the meeting place. No one knew what was going on and the people checking you in, were very rude. We were given no directions, just, next. The bus driver was also very rude. Our guide on the airboat was amazing though. Everyone wanted a tip to include the man that did a ten minutes show about alligators. There was even a sign in the bus that said, everyone needed to tip, 5 bucks minimum per person. Very off putting and I always tip people.
It was the worst experience. The tour bus was a piss dump. It was so hard to sit in that bus for an hour both ways. Everyone in the bus was struggling to breath with piss smell all over the bus. On top of that the driver decided to stop for a fuel stop in the middle of the tour! The boat ride was good. But the whole experience was very bad. Would never go back again.
We boarded the bus for the trip to the Everglades air boat ride. The smell on the bus was horrible because of an overflowing toilet. The bus ride was a hour long . At the wildlife farm the Air boat ride supposed to be 45 minutes long but we ended up with 30 minutes including boarding and exciting the air boat. The wild life presentation after the ride was a joke The parking in a nearby park house was $80 for 4 hrs. It was a waste of time for this tour.
Very good value for an outstanding trip. Swamp tour and alligator show. The airboat was really a cool experience.
This was a low cost, low budget tour. The charter bus bathroom was emanating an intense smell. With every sharp turn or hard brake of the bus, a strong sewer smell overwhelmed the entire bus. The airboat ride was fun and informative, but very short in duration. Only about 30 minutes from boarding to disembarking. The animal show was lack luster. A few gators in pens which were fed small pieces of meat and a few other animals were shown. The most entertaining part was the large bird that would collect the tips from everyone. This was a case of you get what you pay for.
The airboat ride was great, but the transportation was absolutely horrible. The bus had a broken porta potty in it. It stinks so bad. The driver had a pull over and opened up the emergency windows, wet air in. We’re supposed to get a new bus at the Everglades boat tour, but we did not we had to ride on the same bus going back to Miami.
Ignore the bad reviews. Well organised trip and it’s the same one as the one you can buy on the high street, just cheaper.
Fun but too short of a ride. Not good if you don’t like loud engines. Ear plugs were provided thst did help.
Great experience!! We got to see alligators, birds and turtles. Our tour guide Anthony was awesome and had a great sense of humor. The alligator show was fantastic and the presenter was very knowledgeable!! Thank you for a great trip!
It was a lot of fun. I would recommend it. The only thing was having to find parking and then taking a bus to the location. I would’ve preferred to meet at the location vs in Miami at the agency then taking a bus back and fourth. All in all it was a positive experience.
The entire time spent at the park was probably only 1:30 hrs. Our bus driver / tour guide was extremely unprepared. First, we left the tour late at 9:20. Then when we arrived, he didn't realize where the safari park was and drove us past the entrance. Then we proceeded to spend 30 minutes backing up the road to the entrance of the wrong park before he realized the entrance was actually In front. We arrived at 11am and was immediately ushered in being told that we needed to be back at the car at 12:30,12:20,12:15. My family and I were extremely worried he would leave without us so we asked for his number since he also didn't seem to have a headcount of the tour bus. The actual airboat ride and alligator show was good, but for the time we spent getting there and back and the obvious lack of coordination to plan this bus tour, it was not worth the price of $40 pp.
The tour was very disappointing. First, the tour operator didn't have/lost our reservation even though we had a confirmation. Second, there were long bus rides on each end with only 40 minutes for the boat ride. Third, the boat ride was not actually even in the national park, and for some reason there were few animals to see. Lastly, they had some exhibits to view which were pretty lame.
The company that takes you to and from was not very good. We were to leave at 1:00, but they lied and said no, you actually check in by 1:00, not true We Tripple checked. Then said we’d leave by 1:30, didn’t get in transport till 2:00 and it’s 1 hour drive each way. Lots of time lost in our day sitting for this. 4 hours actually. The gator park is filthy, bathroom worst than outhouse. The boat tour was actually decent. But didn’t go very far into the Everglades as expected. Was told the water was not deep enough. I think since we were late in arriving we were cut short. Did see gators and birds which was nice. Would not do this again. Too much time lost in the day and worn out with all the waiting.
The boat ride and alligator spotting was excellent, the staff at the Everglades were really engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. However, the coach journey was not good and departed from the meeting point more than an hour later than scheduled.
The Everglades themselves was nice the company that drives you to and from was horrible the driver broke so many laws almost got in three accidents drove the bus on the shoulder of the freeway made us leave before the tour was completed recommend going to the Everglades yourself not going through the tour company
Throughly our day were fortunate enough to see a number of alligators and enjoyed the airboat experience.
It was good experience to going with vistor, very good service. Very helping. Nice trip we enjoying very much there.
Overall, it was definitely worth the money. The beginning of the trip is quite chaotic but once you are on the correct bus, it flows smoother. The Airboat excusion is great. There was not not enough time to explore the animal sanctuary, get food, and see the gift shop. It seemed you could do one of those. The traffic coming back was a nightmare so our return was significantly delayed. Don't plan on getting back at a certain time.
Waste of time, 1hr 30 minutes drive each way for about half hour in the everglades. Saw a dummy croc. And tge for tge exhibition, a 20 minutes talk but no interaction with and crocs.
I had a very disappointing experience with this tour. The bus took us to the northern part of the Everglades, which was much less beautiful than the national park, and not at all what we had imagined. The boat tour lasted 40 minutes, which was fine, but after that, we were given an hour of free time to visit the “exhibition,” as they call it on their website. However, it turned out to be just animals in captivity. The cages were tiny, and the animals were either isolated or crammed together, spending years in those conditions. At the end of the visit, we were allowed to touch a baby alligator. The guide even told us that it wasn’t pleasant for the alligator, but that they “need to get used to it.” I found this place awful, and none of this was mentioned on the website.
first ... the tour began 45 minutes later ... second ... we were shiping 40 minutes ... and saw only one cocodrile ... increible ...
It was very fun, the bus on the way to the airboat was clean and had great AC! The airboat was a blast driver was excellent
Fun airboat ride and interesting information about the alligators Good guides and learned something worth learning
Info on leaving from Miami ctr. We were not able to get to the parking spot and didn't get to air boat ride. Hopefully i can get reimbursed for the $70. Tried contacting but no one responded and left numerous messages for a call back.
The trip we booked was for 1pm. Said to be there 1/2 hour early. We got there and we're told bus would not arrive till 130. We did not even leave the mtg place till 2pm or so. We had figured by what site said that we would be back by 430 or so. We did not get back till after 6pm. Glad we did not make other plans too. The airboat tour was good. No real complaints there. Just the Miami tours companies lack of time management is the real issue.
Important Tip: You do NOT actually go to the Everglades National Park. You go to Sawgrass Recreation Park and airboat through their area. I’m not sure if they are part of the actual National Park - but the actual NP is about an hour and a half south (2.5 hours with traffic). We thought that the double decker would take us to the actual NP down south and we airboat down there but we were confused when it started heading North. The staff were all very friendly, if you have little ones like I do (3 and 2 year old) you can request headphones as the plugs don’t fit their ears. Everything at the park was great, we had only about 20 minutes to order food and we had to eat on the bus because by the time the food was done, it was pick up time. It was a great experience but if you want to visit the NP like we thought we were going to - do not book it. We ended up driving south to visit the actual park and get a magnet and everything AFTER so it kind of used up our whole half day for not being where we thought we were actually going to go.
Air boat was good, we did one earlier in the year in boggy creek which was much better but this was still good. However the bus was very poor. Oversold so not enough seats, some people got off and drove themselves. Some children had to sit on adults knees and the window where I was sat was all delaminated so you could see out of it. There was a sign at the front saying VIP seats $5 each for the front 4 seats. 2 people paid to sit there then immediately after the driver allowed 2 others to sit there without paying the extra
Per the website, the departure from the meet up site stated 1:00pm. We did not leave from the meet up site until 1:45pm. Also, the check in employee told me we were not on the passenger list and assumed I had a Groupon voucher when in fact, I paid full price for the excursion ahead of time. This was a disorganized and frustrating start to the event.
We did the Miami Double Decker tour to the Everglades and overall it was decent for the price. The departure was quite punctual — only about 15 minutes late — which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the bus did not have air conditioning, which made the ride pretty uncomfortable. The highlight was definitely our airboat captain, Nick — he was very engaging, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable. One thing to note is that the tour does not take you to the official Everglades Visitor Center; instead, it brings you to a private airboat company with their own souvenir shop and facilities. All that said, for $29 a ticket, you really can’t expect much more.
Don’t book this, I booked this knowing that it will start from Everglades national park but it start from Somewhere else, I reached to park and requested to give the place where I can join directly for Airboat but they didn’t support and my money gone waste and not utilized that, there are lengthy airboat available near Shark valley, where you don’t need reservations and can go directly and enjoy the rides with other activities in short period of time, in this your full days goes waste by traveling through buses and no support from the Tour operators
