Great experience. Comfortable accommodations. Knowledgeable guide.
Great way to see and hear about the history of Fernandina. Mary, our driver, was very knowledgeable and fun.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour! It was an overall excellent experience, start to finish. Our guide, Shay, was the best! She is knowledgeable and informative, and humorous when appropriate. We had a great time and would highly recommend this tour.
Loved our guide . Learned so much new and interesting info about Amelia Island. Guide had great personality!
Very fun and educational. We learned a lot about the area. Friendly and knowledgeable staff made it even better. Thank you for a great time.
Our driver was very knowledgeable. She made it fun even though it was pouring down rain. She was very good about letting us open the door to get clear. Our pictures.
This is a very good tour. The guide is very knowledgeable and shares her love for the history of the island in a way that is informative, interesting and entertaining. Also learned a few good places to shop and eat.
Shay was our driver very knowledgeable and friendly Tour covered a lot of history and she suggested this to do during our visit
Shae was very knowledgeable and made it fun learning about Amelia Island. She also gave us great places to see on our own and some restaurants.
Pros: The tour guide was very informative and entertaining. Great historical information. Cons: Van has very tight seating. Too much time is spent sitting at one spot. It would have been better had the guide gave the information while driving around the area. I had hoped we would see more of the Island.
Great historical information provided by the tour guide. He made it fun and personable. I appreciate the great history and information provided.
Shay was so enthusiastic and engaging and knowledgeable! She shared many stories and is very passionate about the local history!
Shay was a fantastic tour guide. She shared many stories of the history of Amelia Island, from the eight flags, to architecture and to her own experiences as well. She was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot and had great fun at the same time. Five stars for sure!
Our tour was exactly as I had hoped. Shay is very knowledgeable about Amelia Island, and she is articulate. It was clear how much she loves where she lives. She spoke of the history of the island as well as giving us tips about places to visit. I would fully recommend this tour.
Our guide was really fun and informative. Definitely would recommend
The tour was most informative and Shay was an amazing guide. Would definitely recommend the tour to learn the history and fun facts about Amelia Island.
Shay was fabulous ! She really knows all the little details that make a tour so interesting. Van is comfortable.
The tour was very nice and well documented. We learn a lot about Amelia Island and now we have another place added to our preferred places. And this because our tour guide Ms. SHAY SINGLETARY. She was welcoming, polite and very knowledgeable. A wonderful person to listen to.
Shay was terrific as our driver and knowledge of Amelia Island. The van was new and clean. Wonderful trip. I do recommend!
Very informative 8 flags tour with Michael. Would have liked the opportunity to get out of the van a time or two to take photos.
OMG! The most fun we ever had on a tour. Our tour guide Shay was absolutely wonderful! So funny and informative, ready to answer our questions and such a southern belle! Very accommodating and courteous. I will bring more friends to this tour very soon again. Way to go Shay!
We had a great experience. The tour was over flowing with information and interesting facts about Amelia Island. Definitely worth the 2hours. All four of us had a wonderful time.
Our guide Mr Daly knew all the historical facts with trimmings! He knew the stories behind the stories. It was truly a great tour. Would recommend to any history buffs.
Daniel was amazingly knowledgeable, he filled our time with information about the history of Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island and St Augustine. He was friendly, answering questions and made sure all our interests were addressed. Definitely would do it again and recommend to everyone.
Danny is an excellent tour guide who is very knowledgeable about the area and its history. I would definitely recommend taking this tour!
Our favorite part of our vacation! Our guide was very knowledgeable and fun. The history facts were colorful (how to kill an alligator with a log) and eerie (enemies hanging in trees!) Highly recommend this tour!
We enjoyed the history tour very much. Our guide was very knowledgeable and had a great personality, which added to the experience. I would highly recommend this tour.
We enjoyed the tour from beginning to end. The guide was friendly, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. His presentation was informative and humorous, and kept our attention. We learned quite a lot while enjoying ourselves. Seating in an air conditioned van on a hot day was a big plus. Definitely recommend.
Daniel was the best ever tour guide He was extremely knowledgeable and funny. We learned and saw so much of this amazing island. He made us want to come back. Daniel is a 10+. DO NOT MISS THIS TOUR!
My husband and I had a GREAT time!! Our driver was informative about the island and funny too!! We learned alot about Amelia Island that we didn't know. This is an absolute tour for everyone!!!
Daniel, our charming and loquacious leader, had more than an arm-full of historic information about Amelia Island. The early inhabitants were traced back centuries, followed by the arrival (and departures) of eight European conquistadors, legal, and illegals!! As a bonus, the history of a few pubs was included.
The guide knew more about the US than us. Great stories of the 8 flags over Amelia Island. The best was leaving the Catholic Church behind for liberty of the pioneers.
We signed up for this tour last minute and had issues with the online system. We also wanted to see the historic homes, which wasn't an option for the time and day that worked for us. Daniel was great! He worked with us to get on the tour and modified it slightly to include some of the homes along with the 8 flags history. He was very informative and we all enjoyed it. The van was comfortable and cool on a hot summer day. Highly recommend!
The van was comfortably air conditioned and the driver-guide, Dan, was extremely well informed about the varied and at times gruesome history of Amelia Island and Fernandina, in particular.
This tour was absolutely outstanding, thanks to the very knowledgeable, friendly, humorous Daniel. We learned more about Amelia Island, past and present, in this 2 hour tour than we could have in days by ourselves! If we could give more than a 5, we would!
Daniel was an amazing tour guide!!! We loved every minute of our tour! His knowledge of Fernandina and Amelia island was incredible!
Daniel, the tour guide, was very fun to listen to with the historical tales of the Amelia Island area. Comfortable, air conditioned modern van was great.
The gentlemen that did the tour talked extremely too much. Most of the time about nonsense with a couple that was on the tour as well.
Daniel was awesome. He was so knowledgeable and informative. He really seems like he loves what he does and is passionate about history. I called him the day of the tour and he was able to get us in. I've been to the island many times, but never even knew about some of the places he took us. If you love history you will absolutely love this tour.
Daniel gave us a detailed historical overview of Amelia and also some home tours, especially North 6th Street. Took in thr historic north end which I had not known about.
Our guide, Daniel, was exceptional on his knowledge of the history in this area. The tour stops at a few different locations where he explains their importance. He keeps it interesting throughout. The van is comfortable as you travel around town too. It is the perfect way to learn about the complicated history of why the regions was under 8 flags.

Daniel gave engaging stories about the history of the area. He took us to some interesting places which lended to us imagining what once happened there. We enjoyed the tour very much and left with good knowledge of this nice island we visited..
What a nice and informative tour. Guide was unbelievably knowledgeable and shared history as if he’s telling a story. The history of this area is unbelievable. I was very impressed and highly recommend! After the tour I took the guides recommendation to sample local fresh shrimp and somI walked across the street to the restaurant (Salty something, very very casual) and went upstairs to the bar to overlook to harbor. I sat along the rail and ate fresh, hot, peel and eat shrimp that was delicious!
TOTALLY AWESOME!!! Daniel, our guide, certainly knows “his stuff”! He was super friendly and super knowledgeable!!! His ability to keep you focused with “wait and sees” kept you waiting for the rest of the story!!! I learned so much about the history of the island!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Our guide was fascinating! We hung on to every word and learned a large amount of history on a fairly short trip that went by fast. Daniel was highly informed and had obviously studied and knew so much. It was the best tour we’ve taken.
We are really glad we decided to take this tour. Amelia Island has a very complicated and amazing g history, and Beth did a great job with all the details on our tour.
My friends and I did the Tour yesterday with Daniel as our guide. What an exceptional experience we had. Daniel was very impressive with the history of Amelia! Thank you Daniel!!!!!
