Wow, this is a beautiful 50 ft sailboat equipped with all the latest marine technology. You'll be greeted by the most personable Captain Mike. A sailor who has a lifetime of experience circumnavigating the globe. This is a once in a lifetime experience. After all how often do you get to go sailing on a 50 ft sailboat? Treat yourself 😄.

This was a great experience. Captain Mike is amazing. His expertise, knowledge and stories were worth the price of admission alone. He even let us steer the ship. Since the limit is six passengers at a time, it doesn’t feel crowded and more exclusive. A definite adventure to experience while in Marathon.

This was a wonderful, laid back sail with a maximum of 6 passengers on a large, comfortable sailboat. Captain Mike was knowledgeable and interesting, with great stories from his years sailing. He also knew a lot about the area in which we sailed. I spent most of my time soaking up sun and sea air near the bow, whereas my husband spent more time in the cockpit, conversing with the captain. We saw lots of dolphins, pelicans, and a sea turtle. We both highly recommend this cruise.

What a wonderful morning we had with Captain Mike and his gorgeous boat!! This experience was definitely a highlight of our week in the Florida Keys! My husband and I and our teenage daughter had a morning sail with another couple. Mike was so friendly and relaxed and had the most interesting stories to tell - he had all the best insider info about the restaurants and we also learned about the wildlife. He let our daughter help him a couple of times with the sails. My husband is all about relaxing and there were cushioned seats and plenty of shade for him (re: this is not a loud music booze cruise in any way!) We were able to move around and sit out in the front and on the sides of the boat. We had the greatest weather! This was truly a very chill, smooth sailing experience and we would totally book this again!! Thank you, Mike - you are the best!!! :)

Daytime private cruise. Nice sunny day with calm seas. Captain Mike had many interesting adventures to tell us about. Owns, operates and lives on boat. Easy to find and good location with plenty of free parking.

This was our second excursion on the Chao Lay. As always, we had a smooth great day of sailing. A great yearly tradition. The captain was friendly and informative, and full of wonderful stories of the sea as we sailed around the Keys outside and around Marathon. Highly recommend this trip.

A total delight and welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Route 1 in the Keys. Mike, the captain, is super nice and accommodates our sailing preferences. What a way to see nature, going out the harbor, past the mangrove islands and into the sound. A school of dolphins swam with us for much of the time, which was enchanting. A wonderful experience!

My wife and I took the cruise, and were lucky to be only 2 people on the cruise. It was a wonderful experience. The Captain was very knowledge about the area and shared some of his experiences during his around the world cruise.

Great experience. Highly recommend. Trip advisor listed this activity under hidden gems and it certainly is. Captain Mike is a good storyteller with a wealth of knowledge about the local area. The ship is quite large at 50 feet with a full keel and 6 foot draft, which keeps it from rocking about. Captain Mike single hands the boat with electric winches, but you can help out if you want. This excursion is a great way to see the 7 mile bridge from the water and Boot Key without the noise from a motor boat. The wind was gusting up to 11 knots and the ship got up to 6 knots, a smooth, relaxed ride with no sea sickness.

Capt Mike rounded out our weekend escape to the Keys in a way so much more enjoyable than pounding the pavement in Key West by foot and golf cart. To be swept away to the emerald blue waters above the coral reefs along the keys and slowly sail around the mangrove protected habitat of islands was wonderful. No engine noise, just little waves slapping against the hull. And sure there are tons of boat tours. But they don’t have Capt Mike! This man has sailed his boat around the world, and other boats through South East Asia. He has stories to tell and photos to back up his adventures. You will be wishing you had more than 3 hours, because you have to ask about his adventures. Mike does not brag, he shares if you ask. His passion for sailing is infectious. You know he’s a man that has lived his dream, and enjoys sharing it with his charter guests. Thank you Mike.

Well, if you want to go sailing in the Florida Keys, then look no further. I am not sure if there was a nicer and more interesting person than Captain Mike. Great guy to talk with, and my wife and I couldn't have been happier. Beautiful sailboat, easy to get to, and he even took us on a perfect day! Had a great time, strongly recommend taking this adventure!

Mike , the captain, is a world traveler and great person. He explained the local history (Marathon & lighthouse), rookery, wildlife and much more. It was a delightful afternoon.

From the onset, we were treated like part of the yacht owner’s extended family. His knowledge about sailing became very apparent as we left the dock and he told us that he had sailed this particular yacht in an around-the-world regatta several years back. His stories, along with amazing photos of this trip made the morning sail with him all the more special. The yacht is beautiful and outfitted with the best sailing equipment. If you are looking for a calm, relaxing 3 hours on the water under the power of the wind, I highly recommend going on this yacht with Mike.

If you are looking for a relaxing sail on a beautiful boat captained by the owner this is just the trip for you. The owner has actually taken this same boat on an around the world regatta! His stories and some of the photos he shared were amazing. As soon as you get on the boat, you start to feel like a part of his extended family. I highly recommend this activity if you are in Marathon FL and are looking to experience a beautiful sailing yacht.

This sailing tour was amazing! Captain Mike is welcoming, and sweet. During this trip we saw dolphins, turtles, and manatees. Would absolutely do it again!!!

The Captain was very sweet and knowledgeable. We were able to see dolphins and he turned back around so we could spot them. He's a great sailor with amazing stories to tell. 10/10 would recommend, you can tell he's passionate about sailing and exploring.

It was a wonderful, relaxing 3-hour cruise . Filled with knowledge of the area, sailing, and nature. He told us tales of a sailing voyage around the world. And about the nature preserve, lobster crab fisherman . It was both informative and entertaining. Well worth the cost of the trip, which comparatively was lower than most of the others. The day was gorgeous and already 80 degrees and sunny by 9am. Mike is a well traveled captain who has Keyes vibe! He takes his job seriously and knows what he is doing! This a great trip! My husband had a hip replacement and handled the 3 hour tour gracefully. We met great people Jen and Tony and I enjoyed the zen! I worried about a shipwreck but thank god this wasn’t Gilligan’s island 3 hour tour but I still can’t decide if I’m a Ginger or a Maryann!
