Itinerary
The tour meets on the corner of Duval Street and Eaton Street outside of the gates of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, located at 401 Duval St, Key West, FL 33040. In the heart of Old Town Key West, where the sea mist mingles with whispers of the past, stands St. Paul’s Episcopal Church—a hauntingly beautiful structure veiled in mystery. Locals speak of flickering lantern lights that appear in the belfry at midnight, long after the last soul has left. Beneath its grounds lie hundreds of forgotten graves, disturbed by storms and time, their spirits said to roam the churchyard restlessly. Visitors have reported cold touches on warm nights, spectral figures in the stained glass, and a phantom priest seen pacing the pews, murmuring prayers for the dead. Step lightly—at St. Paul’s, the line between heaven and haunting grows thin.
With its ornate Victorian facade and blood-red gables, the Artist House on Eaton Street is as enchanting as it is eerie. Once home to eccentric painter Robert Eugene Otto, it’s most infamous for sheltering Robert the Doll—a childhood toy said to be cursed, and perhaps possessed. Strange footsteps, whispered conversations, and the sensation of being watched are often reported by guests who dare to spend the night. Though Robert has since moved to a museum, some say his spirit still lingers, pacing the halls of his former home. The Artist House is not just a bed and breakfast—it's a portal into Key West’s most chilling legend.
Tucked among the quiet streets of Key West, the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home holds more than memories of the dearly departed—it holds the legend of Count Von Cassel. A mysterious European aristocrat with a taste for the macabre. Some say the Count’s soul never left, bound by obsession or unfinished deeds, still lingering in the cool silence of the embalming room.
La Concha Hotel rises like a grand sentinel over Duval Street, its historic walls soaked in luxury—and legend. Once the tallest building in Key West, La Concha became a tragic magnet for suicides—many leaping from its rooftop bar. But the most chilling tales come from hotel staff who say no amount of renovations can quiet the restless dead who checked in…but never checked out.
Behind the wrought-iron gates and lush palms of Marrero’s Guest Mansion lies a love story turned ghost tale. Guests report the scent of rose perfume in empty rooms, soft weeping in the night, and the sensation of unseen hands brushing their hair.
The Oldest House in Key West holds more than history—it holds hauntings. Its weathered walls have seen shipwreck survivors, Civil War soldiers, and generations of restless souls. Step carefully—some say the house watches back.
Beneath the swaying palms and vibrant blooms of the Audubon House lies a darker tale than its beauty suggests. Built by Captain John Geiger, the home is said to be haunted by the very souls who once walked its grand halls. The birds may sing by day, but at night, the house whispers with the echoes of the past.
Captain Tony’s Saloon is more than a bar—but a crypt of Key West’s past. Built on the site of the original city morgue and hanging tree, the saloon’s walls are soaked in stories of death and despair. At Captain Tony’s, the spirits in your glass may not be the only ones you encounter.

Our guid was very entertaining! Had a lot of information to give! Could tell he is very passionate!!!!
Very informative and awesome ghost tour with Andy! Thank you :D My husband and I had a blast learning about Key West dark history and walking!
My fiance and I, and our dog love to go on ghost tours. We saw that they offered one in Key West and we decided to go on Monday night. We were originally told there was no tours that night, but then they called me back and said that they could accommodate us. We were excited and couldn't wait for our tour! I've gone on a lot of ghost tours in my life, and it really boils down to the storytelling abilities of the tour guide. I can't remember the name of the girl that we had, and although she was very sweet, her stories just seemed like they were recently memorized and given with no flare. It was interesting, but not one of the better ghost tours that we had been on. They had offered three different types of Tours, one that was friendly for families, one was a pub crawl, and one was The Dark Side of Key West ghost tour. We chose the dark side and it was more like lightly toasted. LOL
We had a wonderful time on the tour! Unfortunately I can’t remember our tour guides name but she was wonderful! So knowledgeable about the area and willing to answer any questions we had! I really learned a lot. I wouldn’t call this a ghost tour but she told us stories about specific buildings that people have had experiences in. If you like a historically based tour this one is for you!
My son booked this without understanding it was a "walking" tour. Well, I have a cane and am unable to walk very much. (I'm 91). We asked for a refund within 20 minutes stating I was unable to walk very far, When I called the phone number she just said "no refunds" and hung up. I will fight it through my bank but that was just plain rude. There are many 'ghost" tours in Key West, just don't book this one.
Jude did an awesome job! She did great mixing history, scary stories and humor. If you get a chance, book this on Halloween for an extra special experience.
Andy was incredibly knowledgeable about the History of Key West and brought life to the tales. Emphasizing that the tales had real people with real problems that brought them back for various reasons!
While it might not be for everyone, we had a fun tour given by Spicoli from fast times at ridgemont High. He was entertaining and informative in very casual way. Not for people with mobility problems. There might be a white chicken sighting if you're lucky.
I will say that the young girl was very knowledgeable about the material that she had to present however, she was about 15 minutes late and she was very informal. ..almost way too informal.?Never asked for my ticket, never asked for my name. …never tried to connect with me. The tickets said it was an hour and a half, the tour guide said it was an hour. A couple had to leave and she almost didn’t want to do the last stop. She asked if we were interested and we said yes, then she finally did it. I don’t feel it was worth the money. Sorry I booked it.
Jude was friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We explored areas I hadn’t been. She was amazing getting us through the tour despite the hot and humid conditions.
Jude gave such an amazing tour! We loved all the little details and tidbits she provided, and she was such an incredible storyteller... Really painted a picture of the events and circumstances!
Lots of great stories in Key West! Our tour guide was fun and knowledgeable. She kept us entertained and was also able to answer our questions.
Key West is a very loud town. Too loud for me to hear the tour guide during the second half of the tour, which ended up feeling like standing around in a group to listen to city noise of too loud trucks, motorcycles, folks out bar crawling, and live music from the bars... everything but the content of the actual tour.
The Dark Side ghost tour through Key West was a great time! Our host Kenna was informative and entertaining. The stories at each location were interesting and Kenna was able to answer any questions the group asked. Definitely recommend!
Interesting stories about places in Key West. I’ve been in Capt Tony’s so many times and didn’t know these creepy stories. There was 8 of us and we all enjoyed it!
Three friends and I went on this tour last night. Lots of good stories; about Robert the Doll, and Carl and Elena plus more. Better to walk to actual sites than just driving by on a trolley for sure!! Able to go inside and see the hanging tree and a real skeleton. Good story telling from our conscientious host Jude.
Wonderful tour! The guide was knowledgeable and engaging! We loved it! It gave us a creepy and historic view of Key West!
A lot of fun! We enjoyed the history class and sight seeing. Jude was a great tour guide making sure everyone got the full experience.
Jude is a great storyteller! The tales provided insight into the people and history of Key West. I recommended you block out a few hours to learn more about the Dark Side of this town
Kenna did a great job! She was knowledgeable about the area and its history. Her love for the city and its spooky stories came through in the tour.
Jude was very knowledgeable and friendly. It rained almost the entire tour but we were able to get to each spot and hear about the locations.
Decent tour of a few places in Key West. A few of the stories were different from previous ghost tours but highlights some of the richer ghost history. It was so humid on our tour and the guide made sure to check in with people periodically for breaks if needed since it is a walking tour.
There were only four participants on our tour, so our guide really tried to incorporate a couple of extra stops and stories that would not have been possible with a larger group. the tour itself was pretty good, probably one of he better ghost tours I have been on in the last few years, which says quite a bit given that i probably go on at least three such tours a year.
Jude was great and entertaining. The stops all had a great story to tell. Jude was very knowledgeable.
A fun evening activity. Our guide was a great storyteller and had some spooky stories as well as history of Key West. Thank you!
This tour was so much fun! Our guide was awesome! She really made the stories come alive. She was very accommodating for pace of all guests.
Christian was awesome! She entertained us and told the ghost stories with excitement and kept us engaged.
It was a great history lesson. Nice way to see things you wouldn't normally see or notice, (the hanging tree) The guide was charismatic.
Our tour guide Christian was great! Very knowledgeable . Lovely and entertaining . Easy walk . We loved it
Jude was our guide for this tour and she was awesome. Jude had a ton of facts about key west aside from the tour as well. I thought it was her own business. She even does her own research. It was really cool. Thank you Jude!!
Jude was extremely knowledgeable, very entertaining, professional, thoughtful and kind. We were extremely pleased with our experience, learned a lot, and would highly recommend!
Had a blast on the tour! Could have kept going longer, beautiful sights and a amazing & funny guide with great stories!
Great tour knowledgeable and friendly tour guide Christianne delivered her understanding of the area and it’s history well and in an engaging manner
Went on this tour with some friends. Our guide was Christian and she was excellent! Great storyteller and super knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
I love ghost tours and go on one every time I visit a haunted city. Unfortunately, this tour was super disappointing. After going through all the options on Viator, I chose this one based on the itinerary and reviews. I really wish we went on a different one. Our tour guide told us that since there was only 5 people in our group, she was going to be extra dark. We assumed that meant she could tell us the true dark details of the ghost stories. Instead she took it upon herself to curse (using the F-word quite frequently) and bring up personal family issues that were not pertinent to one of the ghost stories at all. She started off her introduction saying she couldn’t wait to leave Key West and thought the place was s**t and meanwhile we hadn’t even started the tour about the town we were visiting. My two friends were with me and one of them had never been on a ghost tour before and I have to hope it doesn’t prevent her from going on one with me in future. My friends and I are a younger crowd (30s/40s) but still found the inappropriate remarks, attempts at dirty humor, and cursing distasteful and unnecessary. The other two people in the group were an older couple and we were shocked they made it to the end of the tour considering how weird and off-putting she got. When I asked a question about one of the stories, she claimed she didn’t know the answer or anything else about it because she doesn’t know the owners of one of the haunted buildings meanwhile she said she was 19 years old and was born and raised in Key West. When she didn’t know other answers, she said it’s because she’s only been doing the job for about 2 months. So I guess we are to assume she just memorized a script and doesn’t really want to show interest in the material to engage her audience. If there is any chance whatsoever of getting a refund, I would definitely want the option. This tour was in no way worth any amount of money let alone the $100+ I spent for the three of us. The tours I’ve found on Viator have never disappointed me until now.
Jude was a wonderful guide! Her knowledge was extensive, and she had a delightful way of sharing it through her story telling.
Thoroughly enjoyed our tour, our tour guide made it both creepy and fun. Her knowledge of the Key West ghost lore and Key West history made the tour.
Christian was amazing, the stories were outstanding. Great personality and facts to back up the story
Our guide, Jude, was fantastic! We had a small group the evening we went, and it was great! Lots of intriguing stories and background of Key West! Highly recommend this tour and Jude! She was very knowledgeable on the history of Key West and is a captivating storyteller!
This walking tour is just spooky enough without being scary. It’s a mix of weird history and ghosts so there’s a little something for everyone. Overall a good way to spend an evening
The guide was fun and funny. She made the experience for us. I believe her name was Christine. Will definitely book again if we make it back down.
Our tour guide, Cristian was absolutely amazing! She told the stories with funny jokes sprinkled throughout! It was awesome!
We did 2 of these ghost tours and this one was by far the best. Our guide had the most detailed stories of the wierd stuff that ahs gone on in KY and she had pistrues that made it all real! Can say enough about how good the guide was. She made it memorable.
Fritz was very knowledgeable about the area and was a excellent guild. I am tell all everyone to talk this tour
We were honestly so excited for the tour. Ive been on easily 20 ghost tours all across the world and I had read about Key West’s paranormal past. Our guide was nice and did her best but the group was the biggest walking size for a paid tour I’ve ever seen. We started with around 25 but throughout the tour people just kept joining and by the end we were 35+. Christian needed to kick off non paying people and the company needs to limit the number as it was often hard to hear her and the tour was running behind cause of how long it took for everyone to walk. We were happy to look past this however when she started sharing incorrect facts at two stops (we knew because we’d done guided tours earlier and read up on Audubon) my husband and I both lost interest. Last straw was the final stop not only being so loud you could barely hear but we were such a big group that a bunch of us were right on top of bins with vomit. Honestly ew.
Our tour guide Christian, was great! She was funny, and knowledgeable, and engaging. She also handled the annoying guy on the tour very well!
Our guide Christian did a great job and was very personable. There was a loudmouth drunken couple from Maine who were often disruptive, but that's certainly not her fault and she handled it professionally and politely, but firmly.
Really fun and informational! It was fun to walk around with our group and learn more about the haunted history of key west! Our tour guide was really knowledgeable.
Christian was very good, she did voices and some acting, it was fun! And she clearly knew the history of the islands. Thank you
