Even if you didn't see any wildlife it's still a lovely river cruise on a hot day. The experienced captains showed us all kinds of wildlife, history and shine Manatees... even off season!

Bring a sweater- very informative and got to see a lot of wildlife. Dolphins manatees alligator eagles wood storks gulls egrets herons turtles… and more.

Amazing 1 1/2 tour of the river! Captain Jeff was awesome and answered all our questions. We saw dolphins and a manatee!

Booked this tour months ago!! I wanted this experience with my grandkids while I was here on vacation. They cancelled a few hours before due to mechanical issues and had no other options!! Horrible customer service!!

We had the best time on the boat tour, everyone enjoyed the afternoon and we learned so much about the area, the river, the beautiful homes and the wildlife. Captain Melissa did a superb job and Jeff was such a delight telling stories and answering my Dad’s 200 questions with a smile ;) Book this tour!

Myself, my husband and my two small children have just got off of our trip. I must say it was a spectacular experience my five-year-old took a shine to the captain. We are also quite surprised we managed to see a couple of manatees considering it’s the 11th of August we weren’t expecting to see any. Lovely trip parking was a breeze. They also had toilets nearby which is an added bonus when having small children. All in all they should have far more reviews than what they do as they were utterly spectacular.

My husband and I had a delightful 2 hour boat ride in Crystal River with our little poodle. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to be on a boat taking in the cool breeze in hot July. Melissa was a great capitan and guide and shared many interesting details of Crystal River and gave us some great tips on nearby restaurants. I would definitely recommend this tour for others on vacation in the area.

Pretty nice tour, boat captain was very nice and knowledgeable about the area. We didn’t see any wildlife but it was in the middle of the day in July. He got us back to the dock just in time before the afternoon storm hit.

Captain was nice, safety conscious, knowledgeable on the sites - a good tour guide. First time using Viator app - was helpful in reservations and reminders of event.

The guide was insightful. He was courteous to other boaters. The captain of the ship steered the boat closer to an area where a manatee was so we could see it. The weather was perfect not too hot till the end of the tour.

Great crew, very knowledgeable. No manatees but it is late in the season for them. Many birds, fish even a gator were spotted.

Very disappointing experience with Crystal River Boat and Nature Tour. We purchased 7 tickets while on vacation in Homosassa, Florida. The company’s website showed no cancellations for June 11th, so we proceeded as planned. Upon our arrival, the person we assumed to be the captain, seemed immediately irritated that we had purchased tickets. He said “we just need to reschedule” due to expected rain storm. We stepped away to discuss options with our family. He then approached us again and stated that we could still go out, but would “not see anything” and would “get wet,” strongly pushing us to reschedule for the next morning. During this conversation, he made an insulting remark toward my daughter and her children, questioning whether they would even be capable of arriving by 10:00 a.m. the following day. This comment was unnecessary and unprofessional. Unfortunately, rescheduling was not an option for my husband and me, as we were leaving for Clearwater the next morning. The only resolution offered was that he would mark us as no-shows and that we would “eventually” receive a refund for two of the tickets. The entire interaction left our family upset and disappointed. What made the situation even more frustrating was that it did not end up raining as predicted per usual Florida weather! We understand that weather can impact outdoor activities, but customer service and professionalism should remain a priority. Unfortunately, this experience fell well short of expectations!

We booked the morning of because we were only here 2 days. Our tour was excellent. Informative and genuine. It was summer there, so there was no guarantee to see any manatees but we were able to see one off in the distance and one right next to the boat, which was pretty amazing. Many points of interest were pointed out to us. Also, lots of information about hurricanes.

This boat tour was one of our favorite things we did on our vacation! The price was perfect for all of the knowledge and experience our guides brought to the tour. The company provided us with our ideal balance of a laid back and formally guided excursion. If you’re looking for people who know the wildlife and area, this is the one!

Boat trip with guide provided interesting knowledge of area and even though it was overcast weather and we couldn’t see in water so well, we still got to see a few manatees. Speed of boat was comfortable and safe. Enjoyed Kings Bay Area especially.

We had a lot of fun. Captain Marty is the best. He is a lot of fun and has some great stories. It was fun watching him, my sister in law, my wife and I banter with each other. We got to see plenty of manatees, gators, turtles and fishes, and osprey as well.

Well-kept and comfortable pontoon boat ride through the waters off the Nature Coast. Jeff was an awesome guide! Learned a lot, thrilled with everything we saw (especially the manatees!)

Not much wild life and certainly no manatees with all the people and boats in water

Great experience! As natives of Crystal River, the captain and first mate are very knowledgeable and passionate about their home and the history behind it. We forgot our binoculars, but they had some on board to get a good view of the eagles, nests and other sights.

Pleasant boat ride with knowledgeable guides. We saw bald eagles, ospreys, osprey nests manatees and dolphins.

Fantastic boat ride with wonderful information. We saw bald eagle nests and eagles in flight, a dolphin, manatees, ospreys and pelicans. We were told the history of the area and so much more information. It was a well priced tour.

Excellent short excursion on the fabled Crystal River featured sighting several manatees, a dolphin, many seabirds, including eagles and ospreys, and a very pleasant and informative cruise on the river. Boat captain was very skilled and provided interesting commentary and questions for the tourists aboard the small but comfortable pontoon boat. For the price ($25 pp) it was one of the best values for us and our guests in Central Florida. 😎
