Clear Kayak Glass Bottom Day Tour - Anna Maria Island

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing clear kayak tour with Cory! We had a fantastic clear kayak tour today and Cory made it special. Our group was a mix: some first-time kayakers and then me and my 10-year-old grandson, who both kayak at home. Cory was wonderful with the beginners, patient and encouraging and he kept everyone comfortable on the water. He explained all the wildlife we saw, and you can tell he truly enjoys being a guide. Everyone, from novice to experienced, had a great time. We paddled right along the edge of the mangroves and they were beautiful. Birds we saw: * Roseate spoonbill, a gorgeous pink bird that we caught flying into the mangroves! * Great egret, tall and bright white, wading in the shallows (one even strolled right past our kayaks on the beach!) * White ibis, probing the mangrove shoreline with its curved orange bill * Heron, standing still at the water's edge, waiting to fish * Double-crested cormorant, perched on a bare branch above the water Critters up close: Cory scooped up sea life from the shallows and let us see and learn about it, then put it all back. We saw: * Starfish, lots of them! My grandson loved holding them and even wore a few on his shirt. * A conch! We watched it slowly pull its body back into its shell. It was fascinating to see up close! * Other conchs and whelks * A blue crab with bright blue claws (MD girl at ❤️) * Other small creatures from the grass flats and mangrove edge The clear-bottom kayaks are really neat, since you can see the water and the sea life below you as you paddle. This was a highlight of our trip and my grandson is still talking about the crab and the starfish. Highly recommend Funfltours and Cory to families, friends, beginners, and experienced paddlers alike! Looking forward to the night kayak tour tomorrow!!

Be careful of this company. Instructions were clear one MUST arrive 15 minutes before the tour starts, fine. THEY cancelled our scheduled trip at 15 minutes before the tour started as there wasn't enough people. Was this unknown the night before? Very unprofessional. Then when we asked for a refund, they did NOT refund the whole trip, despite them cancelling on us. I have tried by text and email for the remaining balance and they are ghosting me, no reply at all. I would give it a zero if I could.

Was super fun and the guides Corey and Dan were excellent.. funny , informative and just all around a great evening!!

This was an absolute amazing experience! My husband and I are on our honeymoon and thought this would be a really fun thing to do! We would definitely do this again!! Cory and Maci were excellent guides and made it a very memorable experience with sea life show and tell and pictures with our families.

We had wonderful experience on our glass bottom kayak adventure in Anna Maria island! Our guide Olivia was absolutely amazing- so patient with us affectionately known as the “circle girls”, we somehow kept going in circles🤣 She took us to a spot where several manatees were hanging out! Watching them swim right besides us and underneath our kayaks was truly magical. We also got to see beautiful local birds like the cormorant and the pink roseate spoonbills. It was such a fun, memorable trip and would recommend Olivia a thousand times over.

Cory was a great guide with his bird friend doug helping lead the way. Wear sandals, sunshirt and bathing suit. You don’t go far out and is very calm. Highly recommend and we got to see lots of manatees in the bay.

Cory was awesome!!! He gave us great advice on how to locate the manatees. We not only found them but had one come up to our boat to visit us. Coming back next year ! Thanks Cory.

Experienced guides Dan and Autumn. We caught a lot of star fish. All kinds of crabs and fish. Enjoyed the process of identification and getting a background on each species. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

After the tour officially ended, they stayed with our group and gave us the chance to hold live blue crabs, take pictures, and ask additional questions. They were patient, engaging, and made sure everyone felt included in the experience. Their excitement was contagious, and you could tell they genuinely love what they do. We left not only with wonderful memories and great photos but also with a greater appreciation for the local marine ecosystem. Amazing experience, we got to see manatees and even caught starfish, fish, and a blowfish!

This was so fun! We had the privilege of touring with Cory, Maci, and Autumn. We were in FL with our group of 14 National Honor Society students and 3 teachers. This is a tour our students really wanted to do and I am so glad we did it! Our students had manatees that went right under their kayaks. It was such a memorable experience! Thanks Cory, Maci and Autumn for helping our students create life-long memories!

We had Maci, Cory, and Autumn as our tour guides and they were all amazing. They directed our whole group on where to find the manatees and other wildlife. They were all super friendly and welcoming. On the tour we were able to see around 5 manatees up close. I would highly recommend.

It was fun, but wasn't able to see anything. Would have liked to have been in a different area, but still enjoyed. Be prepared to get wet.

Corey was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Felt the 8 pm gave you the visual aspect of Sarasota waterway during dusk and the lit clear kayak gave different experience after dark of the underwater waterways. The only negative would be the back rest on the kayak wasn’t padded enough; by the end of the tour, I had a slight backache.

Cory and Autumn were fantastic guides! They were providing lots of fun information about the area while creating an exciting environment. We caught lots of live animals using the net. Super awesome and would definitely do it again!

Went at the 8pm tour. Had a nice view of the sunset out on the water. Saw a little bit of sea life not much, but definitely would recommend!

We showed up 15 mins early as requested by travel guide and when we arrived the tour guide wasn't even there with the kayaks and there were others looking around confused like we were.

We enjoyed paddling around and getting out to walk around for a better view of all the gulf creatures.

The water was cold and choppy so the blame is on Mother Nature

Great experience! Pat and Matt were excellent! Very knowledgeable and kind. The clear kayaks were beautiful! The kids had such a great time! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!!!

A bit steep for a 1 hr experience but we really enjoyed Larry’s insights and the freedom we had to move around. With our kayak. We saw several manatees, sting rays, mullet, and several other fish. The comorants (birds) were actually really neat as they would dive and swim back and forth under our kayaks eating fish we stirred up in the grass below. The kayaks were difficult to see thru the bottom as they were very scratched up, so there wasn’t much advantage to the “glass bottom” kayaks. All in all we would do this tour again!

Our tour guide Steve was awesome. Got to see some local manatees and enjoy the water at low tide! Can’t wait to book the night trip!

As a three-generation family, we really enjoyed our morning kayak adventure! Steve was welcoming, friendly, encouraging, and informative. We enjoyed views of herons, egrets, cormorants, and sharing the waters, up-close, with manatees! We enjoyed using the nets to explore the tiny wonders: starfish and crabs. Such a fun morning. Highly recommend.

this was just amazing! steve was our tour guide and he was awesome. definitely wear sunscreen and some sunglasses, and be mindful about a little possibly getting in the boat! it was a great experience, never felt scared or worried, and i got some great photos!

We got to see manatees and lots of beautiful sea birds. The your guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. My 10 year old was able to do it with Dad in the kayak. This was very good for teens too.

Kat was an amazing guide. She was fun and friendly and very knowledgeable. The adventure was fun and I'm definitely glad we booked. However it's more work than you think. Especially since it's tandem and if you have never kayaked tandem you have to be very coordinated and be able to communicate and work together! We laughed a lot and spent in a lot of circles until we got it figured out! 😂

Fun morning trip with teens. We were able to see a few manatees and paddle around the mangroves. Our guide Larry was so patient and knowledgeable about the area. You can tell he really loves what he does. I think he was the most helpful and easygoing guide we have had on any excursion we have done. Can not recommend him highly enough

We booked this excursion on 6/7 and they canceled on us that morning with no explanation. $130 was already taken from bank account. We booked it again for 6/8, another $130 taken out of my account, and they canceled on us again less than 2 hours before excursion take off. No explanation given again, perfect weather both days. Now awaiting a 3-7 day refund for both attempts when that money could have been used on something else. Poor business.

Natasha was our guide. She was great and explained what to expect. She was patient while we waited in one spot for the manatee to come visit. She had us stay for longer while the manatee kept coming around our boats so we could more of it. The manatee went right under our boat at one point. That was fun! We did see three dolphins too, but they were too busy to wait around for us to watch them. All in all, a good day! Thank you!

Great experience. Larry, our guide, clearly loves what he does and is a wealth of knowledge. The manatees are so amazing!
