Excellent trip, fun and educational. Kids loved it. Our guide Brent was great. It's definitely worth having a guide to learn lots of interesting and fun facts about the mangroves. Saw some interesting birds and water life during our 2 hours trip. Didn't get to see any manatees, but it can't be guaranteed. Clear kayak apparently does not offer much difference since you can't see much in the dark water.
Brent is an excellent guide! He is so knowledgeable when it comes to the different species of birds and water creatures we saw and also the mangrove. He is definitely passionate about his job! He is also very personable. We learned a lot and had a great time. Highly recommend!
We had an amazing time!! Brent was very knowledgeable and did a wonderful job. We saw so many different plants and animals. We were able to get out a couple times to look at crabs, snails, and then went up the observation tower. Highly recommend.
Had a great time with our guide, Brent. He was super knowledgeable and helpful. Genuine guy all around with lots of good tips for our trip to the area in general. Over all a fantastic experience with my family. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an active day in nature.
Our guide Eric Smith was a great tour guide. He was very friendly and very interactive with us. Didn't rush us. Made the experience enjoyable.
Brent was an awesome guide. He was very knowledgeable about the mangroves it was great to learn about them. The ride was at an easy pace and he was easy to follow. The weather was perfect. We got to see 2 manatees, lots of egrets and snook, catfish, a turtle, brown and grey herring, sheepshead, Osprey it was awesome. Thank you Brent for your kindness and knowledge.
Brent was amazing! Super informative and went out of his way to find sea life to show everyone! Recommend
Linsey was a great guide very knowledgeable of the area. We had such a nice time.
Great tour. Great guide. Well worth the money. Extremely peaceful but hard work if not use to rowing.
We had a great time with Lindsay! She was personable and very knowledgeable about the area. The scenery was beautiful. It was a relaxing afternoon on the water.
Our guide Lyndsey was really great. Very knowledgeable and informative. We saw lots of birds but unfortunately no sea life. Still enjoyable but if you’re looking to see sea life I now understand the Sarasota location would have been a better selection.
We had such a wonderful trip! My family was the only one on the trip and we had such a great private tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave us a wonderful informative and an extra long tour! Highly recommend this tour, it was a beautiful paddle through the mangroves and lots of birds and sea life to see.
My son and I had a great time kayaking the Preserve with our tour guide Lindsay who was amazing! She was a well spring of knowledge and very personable!
We had a great experience with our tour guide Lindsay. She was very knowledgeable, personable and pleasant. We didn’t see manatees but we enjoyed learning about the eco system from Lindsay.
The clear bottom kayak tour at Robinson Preserve was great! Our guide Lindsey was knowledgeable about the area and the ecosystem. She was also very friendly and engaging. I would highly recommend the tour!
We had a great kayak tour at Robinson Preserve. Our guide was knowledgeable- we would definitely return.
We had a great time on the tour with our guide Danny! We went thru the mangroves and learned about the different types. Saw a variety of birds and fish. Ended the tour at the watch tower where we got some good pics of the mangroves. Would recommend!!
My family loved this kayaking adventure. We had an amazing time with our guide, Alexis, she shared a lot of information about the ecosystem and history of this beautiful area. Not only did we kayak, but we also got to spend time in the 50 foot lookout tower overlooking the preserve. We saw lots of birds, manatees and sea turtles. A perfect way to spend the morning or afternoon. We will be back!
Our guide was excellent! She was very knowledgeable of all the wildlife we came across and was very patient with my daughter and I kayaking tandem for the first time together.
“Clear” kayaks - bah! They’re so scratched that one can see more clearly from the side of the kayak than through it. They’re also tandem only except for odd-numbered guests - no single kayaks. The flotation square given is your padding under the uncomfortable seat, but it’s bothersome because it shifts out from beneath you. Regular single kayaks we rented a few days later from another outfit were MUCH better and more comfortable. Friendly guide was marine biologist who could tell us about the oyster beds below but little else. We weren’t offered opportunity to swim as website mentions. Tour advertised for 8-10:30 but ended at 9:39am.
Our guide was superb! She knew so much about nature. However, I believe advertising clear boats is misleading. The water is so dark that having a clear kayak doesn’t mean anything. All you can see is dark water!
Such a great time! Our tour guide Alissa was awesome! Very informative and fun! Beautiful scenery and very peaceful! Would definitely do it again!!!
I took my granddaughter on this tour today and it was amazing. Our tour guides Danny and Taylor were very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the mangroves, other Florida vegetation and wildlife in the region. They were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very safe and comfortable despite us having very little experience. I would definitely recommend this kayaking experience.
Had a very interesting trip with Danny and Allyssa. Both were so knowledgeable about the area and the fish and other wildlife. They both also had fun stories to share. Great trip and well worth the money.
Alexis was simply wonderful, very imforative and a joy to listen to. The views were just fabulous, and the to it was very relaxing
It was a beautiful day! The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and my family had a great time! Shout out to our wonderful guide Chris who made sure we were safe, knowledgeable, and had fun! Thanks so much, Chris!
Chris was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and has an amazing life story. Very stand up guy. Even though we didn’t see any manatees he made up for it with his funny stories and vast knowledge on the wild life out there. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about the preserve!
We had a great time kayaking and saw manatees!! We learned so much. Chris was AWESOME!! He taught us so much about the Robinson preserve and the birds and animals. He also helped us kayak and kept us laughing even when we struggled to paddle together. It was really nice to meet him and learn from him.
Chris was amazing, very outgoing and extremely knowledgeable. I thoroughly enjoyed our trip with him and I would highly recommend using him as a guide. He was extremely engaging and his passion was extraordinary. Thanks Chris for everything
Never kayaked and it was so Fun. And got out and walked a little. So beautiful and quiet. Katie our tour guide was very good
This trip was so fun! We are Florida locals and wanted to take a trip with friends. We ended up being in a group of 6. Our guide was fun and shared a lot of info with us about the area. Robinson Preserve was really pretty. No boats with motors and no fishing so it was really peaceful. Definitely would recommend this to others! We would come back or go to another location!! Sarasota was close and sounded really nice!! No manatee sightings today but it was seriously worth checking out
Both guides were fabulous and the area was beautiful. Not too strenuous and saw lots of wildlife. Enjoyed learning about the area and animals from the guides.
Very nice Tour were we learned a lot about the Preserve and its wildlife. Chris was fantastic!! It's a tour for nearly everyone 🫶
Had a great time. Our guides were fun and had lots of interesting info to share about the area! Would love to go again some day!
The experience was disappointing and expensive. The clear kayaks were not an attribute that added anything to the view. There was nothing to see underneath us - no fish, no rays, no aquatic life at all -not as advertised. The seats and the posture they forced were very uncomfortable. Five of our seven family are very experienced kayakers and accustomed to better seats and views over the side. Our guides, Katie and Justine, were wonderful, however. The most fun was getting out of the kayaks and seeing snails and crabs in shallow water.
Katie was delightful and knowledgeable. Loved her! The glass bottoms were an unexpected pleasure. Well make sure to revisit on our next trip to Cortez.
We recommend this preserve and company. It was nice to kayak, step out on the sandbar in the bay and go up the observation tower. I was disappointed not to see any manatees. Also we really didn’t see anything through the clear kayak.
Tour operator cancelled due to inclement weather. It was a hassle to figure out how to get a refund from Viator. Just waiting for the refund to post in 3 to 5 business days on my account. Hopefully it will go through with no problems.
It was fine everybody was nice the guide was excellent even from our hometown our state we had a good experience good exercise good workout
We had a great time!! Ethan did a great job explaning stuff to us, the weather was great and the scenery is awesome!! Would go again.
We very much enjoyed our kayak tour. Our tour guides Danny and Taylor were very well informed and helpful. They geared the tour for everyone in our family. From my mom (who is 68) to my youngest daughter (who is 7), everyone was included and had an amazing time. They were welcoming and had so much information to share with us about the area and wildlife. We throughly enjoyed our 2 hours with them and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful kayak experience. And they included some beautiful pictures at the end with us. These pictures were on the water and from a drone, the pictures were nothing short of amazing. Thank you!!
Katie was an excellent guide! The birds were beautiful and she described them very well! The water was easy to paddle
Ethan was an amazing guide and we had a wonderful afternoon in nature! Highly recommend as a fun family activity. Kayaking was not too strenuous and the time spent wading in the Tampa Bay (even saw dolphins swimming nearby) was fantastic.
This trip was not bad, but just a bit boring. Our guide, while nice, did not proactively share information, or points of interest. So we gathered some info by asking questions but otherwise this was less of a “tour” and more of an opportunity to paddle kayaks in the mangroves. We had hoped to see more wildlife and a manatee. So, the trip, was simply pleasant but not engaging or memorable.
My friend and I went on a tour with Taylor and we cannot recommend her enough! All though the time of year didn’t allow us to see much wildlife, we learned so much and saw so many different species of birds. Taylor is extremely knowledgeable and kind, she made our experience very enjoyable!
We thoroughly enjoyed the kayaking and explanation of local wildlife and conservation efforts. Walking on the sandbar at low tide was a unique experience we highly recommend. Danny is extremely knowledgeable and his passion for customer satisfaction was very appreciated.
It was lovely. Ethan was wonderful. I have two hip replacements and he gladly helped me in and out of the Kayak. That's service is a capital S.
Great journey through the mangroves with our guide Ethan. Just the right amount of info and chat, and some great photos. Thank you.
Great time, amazing location in beautiful sunny Florida. The glass bottom kayaks were a bonus. Thank you Matthew for a great tour.
