Your guide will have everything set up and ready for you to embark when you arrive on site! Our launch location boasts open views of the Space Center’s vehicle assembly building, rocket launch pads, and the Milky Way in the night sky. On a clear night we often see shooting stars, starlink satellites and even the ISS over our heads. In the water, a microscopic algae is responsible for bioluminescence below you. Paddle with a certified Florida naturalist who truly cares about the ecosystem and learn from the microscopic bottom of the food web to the top about ecology in the lagoon. On some summer nights, there’s a possibility to learn about water sampling to quantify the dinoflagellates in the water as Sunny Nights Kayak Tours is aiding in a scientist’s cumulative studies on the pyrodinium bloom in our lagoon!
Sunny is the best!! Very knowledgeable about the area and different species that reside there. She makes sure you get some great pictures. I was the only one that booked a tour and she still took me out. Lots of places have a minimum amount of people. The kayaks are comfortable and well maintained. It was my favorite part of my Florida trip! Do yourself a favor a book this tour. You will not regret it!
We had an absolute blast with sunny! We originally booked for a saturday but Sunny contacted us to let us know that if we were interested, there was a night time rocket launch happening a few days earlier and she would take us out for that if we want. It was amazing, we saw dolphins, a bunch of glowing water, and a space x launch from about as close as you can possibly get. A truly amazing experience, I will definitely be back!

Sunny was an exceptional tour guide, and we absolutely loved our experience! Our original tour date the weather was bad, and Sunny prioritized safety first however was very accommodating to help us reschedule. Our rescheduled tour couldn’t have been better. Amazing experience! Easy paddling. The bioluminescent lights were so bright from the first time your paddle is in the water. Sunny is wonderful. It is a group of only 9 people. It is easy to follow her and hear her and learn about the bioluminescent algae. If you are thinking about going, go with Sunny. You will be so happy you did!

Booked this last minute and totally worth it! Sunny is a fun informative adorable guide that really made the paddle easy and fun. She communicated well with us prior and we had great laughs during the paddle. The water was GLOWING! We saw fish all over a manatee and a dolphin! The water and weather were perfect. Highly recommend. We will be saving her info and coming back to see Sinny again!
Wow, an experience we will never forgot. I would give the tour a 10 but highest score is 5. Sunny was educational, passionate and perfect tour guide for the tour. Easy to communicate with via text and loved every minute of it. Don't waste your time booking with the bigger tour companies with their bull horns and flood lights. The tour was PERFECT ! We saw manatees, dolphins, and watched a rocket launch from the middle of the lagoon. Can’t say enough good things about this tour!!
The bioluminescence was amazing. We appreciated that Sunny took us to see the glowing fish darting around under water in the bioluminescence. She showed us some other wildlife as well and we even saw a shooting star!

The meeting up place was perfect. A little park and lots of manatees. We kayaked out to an island and the bioluminescent was just gorgeous. Sunny old us about the area and we learned about bioluminescentlnce as well. We had a great time! I like that the groups are smaller and not a big crowd We'll go again in the winter and try to see the bioluminescent yelly fish.

We had a great time with friends on this kayak experience! Even though the weather handed us some wind to contend with, we paddled through and didn’t let it interfere with our trip. We had an incredible experience with Sunny Night Kayak Tours! From the moment we launched, our guide did a fantastic job explaining the history of the Indian River Lagoon and why this area is one of the best places to see bioluminescence. She was extremely knowledgeable about the local ecosystem and pointed out all kinds of marine life along the way. The bioluminescence was visible almost immediately. As soon as I stepped into the water, I could see blue glowing around my feet. When we paddled into the darker areas, it became even brighter and more spectacular. One of the coolest parts was watching fish dart through the water, leaving glowing trails behind them like little blue comets. We also saw jellyfish that appeared to glow beneath the surface, which was absolutely mesmerizing. The entire experience felt like something out of a movie. Between the beautiful night sky, the peaceful paddle, and the glowing water all around us, it was truly unforgettable. What an incredible evening! Sunny's passion for the environment, sealife, exploration, and water was contagious. We explored the Indian River Lagoon area and were mystified not only by the bioluminescent organisms, but also by Sunny's enthusiasm for the area. Her knowledge is deep, and she knew just the right balance of facts vs exploration to keep us and our families interested and curious. In addition to experiencing the bioluminescence, Sunny shared facts about the ecology and estuary we were visiting and all the flora and fauna that reside there. She identified skates, horseshoe crabs, conchs, whelk shells and their egg casings, fossils, and even a shark's tooth! She was even able to engage my 14 year old son, which is a feat in itself. Thank you, Sunny, for making our experience so magical!

We had such a great experience on our family bioluminescence kayak tour. Sunny was amazing - so passionate, informative, and friendly. Everything was ready to go when we arrived, which made the whole experience feel easy and stress-free from the start. Booking was simple, and Sunny was so kind and pleasant throughout the evening. The moonlight kayak ride out to the island was beautiful. We had time to explore, talk, and enjoy nature together. As an added bonus, we were even able to see Artemis II sitting ready for launch tomorrow, which made the night feel even more special. Our daughter had the absolute best time - she even got to catch and touch the comb jellies, which was definitely a highlight for her. Such a fun and memorable experience for our family. Really awesome experience. Sunny sunny is a great tour guide. She is super knowledgeable about the Marine life in the area. She made the kayaking, easy and fun even though it was in the dark it wasn’t scary. It was exciting a wonderful adventure that I would definitely do again he must do if you are in the area.
My experience was excellent because I get to see manatees and bioluminescence. It was a 90 minutes tour. I really love the environment and the atmosphere. It's like going on a kayak with your friend who happened to be a very passionate and knowledgeable conservationist where you can pick her brain and knowledges. It was just me but I asked her how many people was her largest crowd and she said it was 9 plus her.
