This is our 3rd trip out with Honest Eco. And even tho it was a little chilly in the water and the winds were not cooperating it was still an enjoyable snorkel and boat ride. We got to see all sorts of sponges and baby fish, and don’t forget the stingray and huge moon jelly’s. I’ve never seen a jelly fish that large and up close before, beautiful but I’ll keep my distance. The crew are always knowledgeable, friendly and helpful especially to the first timers. We will book again and again with Honest Eco, no other company comes close!

Excellent trip…our guide and boat captain were both great and the dolphin watching was wonderful!
It was a great time with the family. We still saw tons of cool things on a windy day.
Clean boat, knowledgeable staff, great equipment and snacks. The dolphins were playing and the snorkeling reef was east and accessible.
We enjoyed Honest Eco so much that we booked 2 tours just a few weeks apart in September! Our first was with Sara and Mo, and our second with Kristen and Sav. Both crews were fantastic!! They were all friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the wildlife and environment of the Keys. Each tour was fun and educational, with incredible wildlife, beautiful scenery, and great snacks along the way. We had different family members join us each time, and everyone was thrilled with the experiences. Two wonderful tours with two amazing crews—we’ll definitely choose Honest Eco again!
Knowledgeable and experienced captain and crew. Great food, great tour. Great respect for nature. Family friendly.
Great time spent with a knowledgeable and fun Captain. So much fun for all experience level snorkelers. Ask for Captain Kristen.
100% must do. Knowledgeable and friendly Captain and crew! Saw tons of dolphins and the snorkeling was amazing!
An incredible experience made perfect by our guide ‘Charlie’. He explained everything, took time and care to show us wonderful sea creatures, fish and coral we could have not located ourselves. Everything was placed into context and Charlie was truly genuine and wonderful. This experience was simply brilliant. Thank You.
Fantastic experience. We learned a lot! Couldn’t have asked for a better crew for our first snorkeling trip! Absolutely recommend if you are looking to see more of the ocean and wildlife responsibly.
Captain Mo and Sara were the bomb.com!!!! I have done a load of snorkeling in my day and this was such a great, well rounded experience. Captain was so willing to explain her process and what she looks for when scouting for animals. Sara was so sweet and fun! Spotted eagle rays, dolphins, sting rays, barracuda, and (my personal favorite) a bonnet head shark!!! Sandbar was super fun! Next time, we’ll for sure bring some beverages and perhaps a lil float to enjoy. Would 100% do this exact tour again in the future! If you only have time or money for one boating excursion, absolutely pick this one. Small business, eco conscious, well rounded, and well run! (Sara, I hope to see you on Below Deck in a few seasons!!!!)
Let me just start off my saying if you’re goal is to see as many sea creatures as possible and be out on the water for along time this is the tour to go on. There was only about 15 people in our group. Charlie and Libbie both were super knowledgeable and willing to answer everyone’s questions. We went to few different area. One area was to see dolphins. We ended up seeing so many. They came right up to the boat. Then we traveled over to an area to snorkel. Charlie got off the boat and led us around the reef. We were fortunate to snorkel with sting rays, massive grouper fish, multiple nurse sharks, and even a lemon shark. The last place we stopped at was a sand bar and we were able to spend some time of the boat swimming around in super shallow water. It was nice because it is the height of sargassum season rn so most of the beaches aren’t great and the smell can be overbearing. On the way back in we were able to see a turtle as well. It was truly an amazing time. Honest eco is one of the smaller tour companies in Key West. I’m all about sharing the love with the smaller local companies that are trying to thrive on the island and it is was worth every cent. Please greatly consider honest eco for your snorkeling if you go. :)
The boat was clean and large enough for everyone to not be on top of each other. Dan and Sarah were amazing. They were polite and knowledgeable and made the entire trip unforgettable. I would highly recommend this trip with honest eco. We had a great time.
An incredible four hours on the beautiful Key West waters with two amazing crew. We saw over 20 dolphins and baby dolphins. The snorkel portion at an incredible reef included seeing a loggerhead turtle, shark and many other tropical fish. And the last stop at a beautiful sand bar was complete with Sav serving us fresh fruit while we relaxed on the sandbar. Don’t miss this tour. It was true to its HonestEco name. We learned so much from Sav the biologist crew member. It was a small group of 16 and suitable for beginners to experienced. Thank you for the best day we had in Key West.
Absolutely phenomenal time! We loved the whole afternoon and guide and captain. They made the trip very enjoyable and we would love to go again. Best part of our mini vacation
Amazing tour with amazing captain and first mate. Libbie and Charlie were very personable and knowledgeable about marine environments, aquatic life, and the ins and outs of the keys. Size of the tour was perfect with around 15 people. Any questions we had they were able to answer and brought us to some great spots to snorkel and see dolphins!
This was just as described. Captain Mo & Charlie were awesome to spend a few hours with. I’m 49 & my 20 something daughters loved it too. Sandbar swimming - lovely!
Captain Mo and First Mate / Biologist Charlie are fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. We did not see any dolphins this day however we did see and got to hold a Spiney Lobster and Sea Star which were pretty cool and, we got to observe a couple of little sting rays! All in all a very enjoyable half day adventure. I would absolutely do this again. Fresh vegetables and fruit were a plus.
We had a wonderful outing! Christina and Heather were our captain and first mate. They did an amazing job! They were friendly and informative. We got to get up close to about 20 dolphins who swam all around the boat! We had a great time snorkeling and even had a surprise stop at the end to swim at a sandbar. I highly recommend this for people looking for a tour that isn’t drinking/partying but more nature focused.
Must do! Worth every dollar and more! Noah and Sara are informative, fantastic and fun! I saw many of my fav fish; huge angel, porcupine, butterfly and cowfish! We would have stayed on the sand bar all day! The dolphins were playful and showing off! It was the perfect excursion! Their fresh fruit was sweet & delish! So glad we booked this tour! Bring cash to tip...they deserve it! Beyond a memorable trip!
We had the absolute best time on this trip. The captain and the guide were so welcoming, helpful and informative. Claire (and I forget the other person's name) and the captain hung out with our kids and answered all their questions. They even let them drive the boat for a second. Thanks for giving us an unforgettable day!
The water is likely to be murky, so don't expect clear views. If you suffer from motion sickness, this might not be the best activity. If you're hoping for sea turtles, you may be disappointed. The dolphins were amazing, though.
We had a great time with Noah and Sarah. We saw many dolphins and had a fun time snorkeling.
We had an amazing time and forged wonderful memories on this bout tour. Loved getting out into the crystal clear waters where we saw dolphins, snorkeled to see variegated corals, colorful fish, and even a few nurse sharks. The hospitality of Charlie and Capt. Alexa was like no other. With Charlie’s amazing experience as a marine biologist, he was able to answer so many questions about the native marine life we were seeing. Truly an unforgettable experience. My 12-year old daughter’s most was especially enjoyed snorkeling in the deep for her first time and seeing the fish, coral, and even nurse sharks. I especially loved watching the dolphins. Thank you for this exceptional excursion of both fun and relaxation.
Wonderful experience with lovely guides (Sarah, Andrew). We saw dolphins, tarpons, all sorts of fish and Lieutenant Dan himself (the resident turtle of the neighborhood). Highly recommended!
Couldn’t have been better worth every penny
Our trip with Honest Eco Tours was one of the highlights of our vacation. The dolphin viewing, snorkeling, and sandbar experience was absolutely incredible. We were lucky enough to see dolphins, stingrays, sharks, terrapins, starfish, and an amazing variety of tropical fish. It felt like experiencing the Florida Keys the way they’re meant to be seen. What really made the trip special was the crew. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the local wildlife and protecting the ecosystem. They took the time to make sure everyone was comfortable, answered questions, and made the entire experience fun from start to finish. If you’re looking for an authentic eco adventure rather than a crowded tourist excursion, this is the one to book. It was well organized, relaxed, and packed with unforgettable wildlife encounters. We would do it again without hesitation and highly recommend Honest Eco Tours to anyone visiting the Keys.
We were so glad we booked with Honest Eco- I would recommend this tour to anyone! We had a great morning at the “dolphin playground,” snorkeling and sand bar- packed so much into 4 hours. Small group (about 12 people), delicious snacks, and so much great education from our captains Charlie and Libby! I am not a very confident swimmer, but I felt very safe- Charlie was in the water with us the whole time, we had signals to communicate as a group, and you can hitch a ride on the floatie if needed. With a little practice I was keeping up with everyone :) Walking along the pier we saw plenty of advertisements for snorkel trips that were booze cruises in disguise! If you want a legitimate, educational, and FUN experience book with Honest Eco!!
Its honestly worth every penny! I wouldve paid a 100 dollars more! Very safe and comfortable. 10 out of 10. Charlie and Noah were super cool and know this place like the back of their hand. They delivered on every aspect of the tour. We seen the dolphins and the rays and everything in between. If your looking for amazing chill time these are the guys and this is the trip. I learned alot and seen alot. Im booking another round before I leave the keys thats for sure.
Fun, educational and exciting. I highly recommend this company. My 11 year old son and I did this together. We saw pods of dolphins, snorkeled with a marine biologist! and walked on a sandbar. We had great healthy snacks and water. The equipment was great! The boat was awesome. Charlie and Noah are 5 Stars!!
This was the best snorkel tour I’ve been on and would do it again in a heartbeat. Our captain maneuvered through the shallow waters safely and our snorkel guide (a marine biologist) showed us and named many different species of fish as they went by. We saw dolphins swim under our boat and while in the water we saw barracuda, tarpons, stingrays and many other types of fish. We learned a lot about the underwater life and about the keys. Charlie and Noah were full of stories.
My husband and I just returned from the dolphin, snorkel, and sandbar tour, and it was truly phenomenal. We’ve been on many snorkeling tours throughout the Keys and the Caribbean, and this was by far the best. One of the first things we appreciated was the smaller group size—there were only about 14 people on our tour, which made the experience feel much more personal. Captain Andrew and first mate Sarah were incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything we encountered. About 20 minutes after leaving the marina, Captain Andrew spotted a pod of dolphins. We had the amazing opportunity to observe around 12 dolphins in their natural habitat. Andrew and Sarah shared fascinating information about dolphin biology and behavior, which made the experience even more meaningful. After about 30 minutes with the dolphins, we headed to our snorkeling spot. I wish I could remember the name, because it was absolutely beautiful. We saw several large southern stingrays, tarpon, and even a shark (either a nurse shark or a lemon shark). Some guests also spotted a loggerhead turtle! Sarah was in the water with us the entire time, offering guidance and making sure everyone felt comfortable. The crew was clearly attentive and safety-conscious throughout. We snorkeled for about an hour (maybe longer), then returned to the boat where we enjoyed fresh veggies and hummus. After that, we took a short ride to a sandbar and spent time relaxing and floating in the water—it was the perfect ending to the trip. This tour was truly the highlight of our Key West adventure. I highly recommend Honest Eco Tours—they were absolutely spectacular!
Exceptional! We saw dolphins, sea turtles, sting rays, and snorkeled with a variety of fish. Understand the coral is mostly dead but we were able to see a few colorful spots. This tour was our favorite and we’ve done 5 over our 2 week stay. Eat before you go, they provide snacks, but we recommend a good breakfast beforehand.
It was absolutely amazing! Charlie and Andrew were great!! We saw lots of dolphins! And snorkeled two different locations. The. Fruit and veggies were so good and fresh!
Captain Andrew and Sarah were amazing! All questions from guest were answered. This was my first open water snorkel. We saw amazing wildlife!! Thank you for an amazing experience!
Informative, friendly hostesses who love to share their love for the reef, ecosystem and overall area. This was a better experience than my first time snorkeling in Hawaii. Everything was proved, including organic snacks and cold water along with brief education of equipment and environment.
We had an Amazing and EPIC trip with Capt. Mo and first mate Sarah!!!!! We had a small group and those two treated us all with a great trip!!! Great fun, engaging talks sharing their knowledge and saw amazing sights- dolphins, nurse sharks, spotted eagle manta rays and much more!! Would definitely recommend and would book again! Thanks so much!
Staff was very knowledgeable and kind. Boat was clean and eco friendly.
Absolutely phenomenal trip. My children (20,17) and I loved it. It was our first snorkeling trip and Captain Noah and Sara made it so much fun, informative and most importantly safe. The spots Noah chose were incredible and he was so informative and knowledgeable. I can’t recommend this company enough. 10 out of 10. Thanks again Noah and Sara for making such a great experience memory for us
We had an amazing day with Kristen and Charlie on the Honest Eco Squid boat! The weather was beautiful and calm and perfect for seeing dolphins and snorkeling! The snacks (fruit and veggies with hummus) were great and we learned lots of interesting information about the Key West area and all of the marine life we saw. We saw so many incredible types of marine wildlife including tarpon, goliath grouper, barracuda, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, sea slugs, sea cucumbers, sea urchin, starfish, and so many more colorful reef fish! We saw several pods of dolphins with little ones that we so playful and cute. We would highly recommend this tour. Thank you for such a great day!
Great boat, and really good Captain Andrew and Guide Charlie. We had a lovely trip out - our first time in Key West. Would definitely recommend booking Honest Eco
Perfect way to spend a port day in Key West. Our ship docked at 8:30am. Was nervous to get to the Honest Eco boat by 9am. No problem. Easy 15 min walk. The crew was two pleasant and capable ladies and 7 other passengers. Plenty of seating under the hard cover canopy so you could have shade wherever you wanted or stand on bow for full sun. They took us to 3 different areas to see many local dolphins explaining their biology and habitat. We went to an area to snorkel that had plenty of coral, sponges and smaller fish. The mate joined us on the water pointing out hidden lobsters and rays. We were back at the dock by 1:30 so we had plenty of time to explore the town before ship’s all aboard.
Mo and Sarah were exceptional The boat was clean and comfortable. Both were knowledgeable and helpful
This tour is a must! Our tour guides were very kind, talked to each of us, and answered any questions that we had. While we didn't see any dolphins at first, they made sure that we did later on in our tour. Snorkeling was a lot of fun adn very interactive in the water, as we were able to learn about what we were holding and even hold some organisms. The sandbar was a great experience as well! I would definitely recommend doing this tour and do not regret doing it. Definitely a highlight of our trip in Key West
Great experience with Noah and Sarah! Dolphin watch, snorkel and sandbar were all great. Got a late start and they gave extra time to make up for it.
My wife and I were in Key West for our anniversary and we had an excellent afternoon on the water with Sarah and Captain Noah. They were both super friendly and the snacks on the boat were top notch. We'd definitely tour with Honest Eco again.
We had a perfect day on this tour! Captain Mo and Mate Charlie were extremely knowledgeable and friendly and patient so everyone from beginner snorkelers to more experienced felt comfortable and included. On our way to the reef we saw dolphins and sea turtles. Snorkel at the reef was excellent, seeing many types of fish, with Charlie in the water with us explaining the different varieties and facts. We even saw a nurse shark. I much appreciate a small group tour like this over a large tour every time. Absolutely I would book this again and again. Thank you for the wonderful memories :)
Great morning on the water. Captain Nowa and assistant Clair were very accomodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the sea life and waters off of Key West. They worked hard to find dolphins and also gave us a lot of time for snorkeling. The boat and equipmnent were clean and in great condition I rate this tour as excellent compared to other similar tours I have experienced.
Professional crew and great communication! Charlie was very knowledgeable of marine life and provided information both on the boat and while snorkeling. We saw several dolphins and even saw some different types of sharks from the boat. Great soft drinks and veggies, hummus, and fruit provided. Great experience.
Simple, no nonsense snorkeling experience plus amazing dolphin watching! Captain Mo and Crew/naturalist Charlie were lovely and helpful. It’s a bit of a run out to the dolphin and reef area, so expect some bumps. We stopped and got to see a couple of handfuls of dolphins up close before we got to the reef area. We were the only boat out there and spent a little more than an hour snorkeling. So many fish! Great experience.
