10/10 recommend! We were in the area and decided on a whim to go kayaking. Super happy to have gone here and that we discovered this place! Buddy was incredibly nice and provided the best service. We will definitely come back!

Nice paddle, thought I was booking a group tour, turned out just to be a solo kayak rental. There were a couple other folks there who had been out from there before and let me tag along for a bit. All in all it turned out to be lovely!

Highly recommend! We just showed up and Buddy took great care of us. (You can reserve in advance.) We did the 1-hour self guided kayak rental. We rented tandem kayaks. The seats were very comfortable and Buddy gave us great information and guidance on where to kayak. We saw tiny crabs, oysters and different types of water birds. We went closer to high tide.

The seats are comfortable and the marsh was really neat to kayak in. We saw a number of birds, oysters and tiny crabs. The tide needs to be in to make paddling possible. My kids enjoyed it too.
We had the best time. When we got there clear instructions were given, safety was explained well, we were told what animal life to look for and where to look.
Mr. Webb at PADL was a warm and welcoming presence for our first time stand up paddle boarding! The water was calm and the perfect temperature; we’ll definitely be back!!!
I set up my rental the night before. Expecting to be on the ramp at 9:30. Webb was kind enough to call me the next morning to let me know that the tides wouldn't be right for a decent paddle until 11:00. Being an experienced kayaker, Webb allowed me to use the gear I brought, and after a few minutes of paperwork, I was on my way. What a gorgeous location! I was protected from the winds. Saw tons of life on the water and really enjoyed my time out. When I got back, Webb and I started talking about fishing. He is really personable and a great asset to the PADL organization. Next time I'm in town, I will definitely get on the water through them again.
Comfortable on top single and tandem kayaks, gotttta get the 2 hour rental so you can explore the marsh and enjoy Floridas wildlife.
Couldn’t have been nicer, the gentleman operating the facility was nothing but professional, courteous, and informative. It was a great experience and I will return, despite the fact that he outfished me from the shore, I chalk that up to him being local, not my fishing ability. Thank You, it’s service like this and value which keeps people returning.

It was fun to see the marshes from a different point of view. Buddy was very knowledgeable and provided some great information about the area, tides and wildlife. Buddy even took pictures for us. He also suggested other things we could do in the area.
Great location, knowledgeable and friendly staff, good prices, easy waiver/sign-up process. Went on a Tuesday afternoon just before the tide was set to come down, even with all that that entails, the staff was helpful with getting us oriented with the local waterways so as to lessen our travails and set us up with tips on local beaches to visit during our brief, afternoon kayak expedition with much success.
Our kayak tour was amazing! Even better than we hoped it would be. Buddy was incredibly knowledgeable and shared information throughout our whole trip. We saw some wildlife and had the opportunity to paddle through the marsh/seagrass. It was just a wonderful trip. Highly recommend!
Had a wonderful experience touring the Talbot Salt Marsh with Buddy. He’s incredibly informative and passionate, and he shares his knowledge of the area in a way that’s both fun and genuinely caring.
My friend and I had an amazing time kayaking here! Lots of birds and fish jumping, and absolutely beautiful scenery paddling through the marshes. The equipment was great and staff was very friendly. A great experience overall!
Everyone we spoke to was friendly and provided excellent advice and insight. We rented 1 tandem kayak and went on the south route from the Talbot island office. Buddy gave us directions and a map which kept us on the right route. We went to the river and then turned around. The trip was great and the kayak was comfortable. We saw lots of shore birds including the roseate spoonbill. Very enjoyable 2 hour trip.
Couldn’t ask for a better experience! As someone new to paddle boarding they make it extremely easy for you, not to mention the location is beautiful and quiet. Service was top notch. Will be back

Amazing service from Stewart. Great place for an afternoon, very clean water. Definitely recommend visiting in the morning/ early afternoon while the tide is high.
We were looking for something fun to do on a weekend and this was perfect; we loved our Paddleboard rental experience! Stewart was so so nice and accommodating, would definitely come back.
My dad and I had a WONDERFUL paddle around the marsh. Stuart was SO nice and gave us lots of helpful information. Everything went smoothly, we received great instructions and navigation help. My dad said he was going to bring all his future guests here! Because this is a franchise/chain, calls went to a call center in Miami. This made setting up the outing a little more complicated, because tides and tour schedules vary by location. My only complaint is that there should be a local phone for making appointments like this and for emergency calls when on the water. Overall we were very happy with our visit and will definitely be back!

Super easy to book kayaks are really nice and new. Stuart was helpful and last minute was able to switch our preference on kayaks. Double kayaks have rod holders singles do not.
Amazing place and great people works overthere my friend lost her phone in the lake and the guy works there (buddy) helped us alot for almost.3 days till we get that phone back really apreciate the help diffntly nice place so peaceful and amazing works we going there again for sure but will.leave our phones in the car this time 😃
I had an amazing experience paddle boarding at the lakes in Jacksonville, but what truly made it unforgettable was the kindness and helpfulness of the staff — especially Buddy. A few days ago, I lost my phone in the water, and Buddy went above and beyond to help me look for it. He was incredibly patient, supportive, and genuinely cared about helping us recover it. Thanks to him, we eventually found the phone, and I couldn’t be more grateful. If you’re looking for a beautiful spot to paddle and amazing people to guide you, this is the place. Huge thanks to Buddy for turning a stressful moment into a positive memory!

We enjoyed a kayak for two on this lovely stretch of river, with some awesome birdwatching in late March. It was a very windy day, but the winding river provided good shelter most of the time. The shore team took our walk-in and launched us promptly, and dug in with us on return to figure out a particularly exciting avian flyover.
Had a great time, took my family out on kayaks and they loved it! Nice way to spend out in nature! Stuart helped us at the shop with the rentals he was very helpful.
