Have to pay $10 for parking and not much to see. Maybe in November when manatees are there it would be better.

Wonderful!! Great choice!! Highly recommend!!
Really had a great time kayaking today! The weather was perfect, the kayaks were well maintained and the river was lovely and calm. So many places to see! I love the lunch pint they even have a bar to help you get off or get on! Eliana, Emily and Zack were so great and helpful!
Eliana was AWESOME! Such a beautiful place. So relaxing & fun!
Amazing people! Super helpful and friendly. Give great recommendations and let you know where the best places are to see manatees. Highly recommend- go no where else!
Thanks for another great paddling experience on the water yesterday!! my husband and I rented two kayaks to go kayaking down to see the manatees. It was a beautiful day for it. The staff at Paddles it’s always great and very friendly. Love the new location! I went a couple years ago at their old location and this one is so much more user-friendly. Would highly recommend you guys to anybody wanting to go kayaking on their own or for your tours ( we have not personally done it, but I am sure it’s exceptional) !!
Great and friendly staff. Equipment was in great shape. Instructions and advice were very helpful. Great family time.
There is a added cost of $10 per kayak launching fee. Other than that it was great experience. Wear sun screen
Awesome time with the family! We needed one more kayak and one more paddle board for our adventure. They make it very easy to rent the equipment.
Easy to find, hard working, helpful, friendly staff. Large, sturdy kayaks with comfortable seats. Easy to follow directions/map. We LOVED our 4 hour rental and self-guided excursion. EXCELLENT $ Value. We will now include this excursion on every trip to this area. (Saw SO MANY manatees, turtles & fish, but even if we hadn’t we would have enjoyed it thoroughly)
Paddles is the best little outfitter in Crystal River! Their customer service is unmatched, the price is right, all kinds of goodies in their shop & the “boyz @ the launch” are awesome! No need to look further for the best experience on Crystal River!
There couldn’t have been a more friendly staff!!! Everything was like clockwork! I would definitely recommend this outfitter!!!!
Second time booking with this company; from the time we arrived we were treated as family. The equipment is new to very good, but the value to this outing is all the people. From the office to the guys at the launch site were great. Our guide, Dani, was very knowledgeable about the eco-system and the area, her caring and personal skills are genuine and very sweet. She still has the WOW factor for the area and it is contagious, will definitely use this company again, and recommend to whomever will listen!!!!
We had a great trip! Our guide was great and knowledgeable of the area! My family can't wait to explore more springs in the area.
Fun with family and friends! I would recommend to anyone. No experience necessary. Busy on the river but still very nice.
What a beautiful setting especially 3 sisters springs. The staff were friendly and helpful. An easy And delightful trip.
This place is the best in Crystal Springs. From the friendly helpful staff at the rental office to the friendly helpful staff at the launch site. They do make it a great memory and in February there are so so many Manatees.
Great trip, great yaks, and an all around fun time. My only issue (which isn't even this companies fault or problem) is way too many inexperienced boaters on the water.
It was wonderful to see so many manatees! Water was a little cold and the boats flooded me so prepare to be wet
Perfect weather around 25degC. 10 minute walk down to the water and simple process to get going on the water. Saw a few manatees and a turtle. But the kayaking alone was well worth it.
Getting up and close to viewing the manatees. The west could have been better. But we did see 3 or more manatees mating in the canal.
Fantastic experience! It’s my first time kayaking in the open water. All the staffs are very helpful and friendly! Learn how to use the paddles from other paddlers nearby. Saw different birds, a mother and baby manatee, a turtle and even a dolphin. Enjoy the trip a lot
This place is a ripoff! Their kayaks are junk & the single kayak doesn't even have a backrest! They are just in it for the money. They try to nickel & dome you to death. They will RENT you a clear plastic phone case for $10 that you can BUY at Walmart for $4.96. They will rent you a dry bag too, that you can buy cheaper than rent. Also, if you are even just a FEW MINUTES LATE, they will charge you $25 PER 15 MINUTES you are late, per boat!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! They try to upsell you everything!! They even charge you $20 EACH to rent their dive flag to go swimming in a public waterway!!
This was a great time, would do it again. Was really warm would recommend sunscreen, got quite a sunburn.
King bay has dark, dirty water due to the significant amount of motored boats w tourist divers. Not worth the cost.
We had to walk 5 blocks.to the kayak. We weren't given any direction or where we could possibly see any manatees and we paid 40$ to rent googles and snorkel and the water is dirty like river water. We basically got handed our kayaks and let push out into the water. Terrible experience, will not return
It is a paddle over to Crystal River but very fun. We missed the Manatees for the season, too warm I think. I will be doing this again;)
This was a perfect experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The equipment was as promised and they supplied a map with advice of where to go. All of our expectations were met.
We just love watching the beautiful Manatee’s, aptly named gentle giants. Even though there weren’t a lot of Manatee‘s like I have seen in other photos, the ones we saw were still amazing and the whole trip was relaxing, enjoyable, and totally worth it! We look forward to future visits!
It was definitely fun kayaking with friends but the experience was much more ‘touristy” than nature/eco focused. Be prepared for some healthy exercise paddling in the open waters in the bay.
We kayaked with the Manatees In Crystal River Fl. We did see quite a few of them but there we so many gas tour boat it really put a damper on the experience plus I think the gas boats are so harmful for the environment. It is was an awesome day.
I would give them a higher rating but for me in my 70s, the distance was too far to three sisters and it was all houses along the coastline very built up. Too bad they sold all that coastline. As far as the service the guys were great. The kayaks were old but comfortable.
We hired four single kayaks for four adults for a three-hour slot and booked in at the office in Crystal River, where some very pleasant staff issued us with snorkels and masks. We were given an iPad and all asked to watch two videos about safety and the rules about Manatees and other wildlife. We were directed to a venue with car parking a short distance away, where we set off from the launch area onto Crystal River itself. The water was calm and shallow. We paddled into Kings Bay and entered some of the small rivers that lead to various springs where you could swim in clear safe waters. A map was provided when we collected the kayaks along with buoyancy aids although we didn't see many others wearing them. The kayaks were in good condition as were the hired snorkels and masks. Three hours was enough and we all really enjoyed ourselves. We felt that it was a great value for money trip.
The staff was absolutely AMAZING! the most accommodating, polite, knowledgeable group of hard workers ! Caitlin is the front women and she is simply a breath of fresh air! I recommend everyone to go!
Love this- Very beautiful scenery and Three Sister Springs was gorgeous- Would highly recommend for anyone who is coming to Crystal River to add this on itinerary
We got there late that they recommended us extended our 3 hour to the 4 hour for an additional $5, versus paying an additional $25 per half an hour if we were late. I really appreciated it. They were super friendly! I would absolutely use them again!
We had a great couple of hours on the water as a family. The kayaks we comfortable and easy to handle. The springs were a must see. So glad we booked and will do it again.
This was my first time kayaking, Paddle Outdoor Rentals we’re very nice and helpful with my purchase; once I got to the dock the guys were great to help me with a map of crystal river and getting in and out of my kayak
We were able to see 4 manatees during our kayaking experience! The staff in the office were so kind and professional, they genuinely wanted us to have a good time. They have a little shop where you can buy sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, etc. in case you forgot them. They also have sodas and non-perishable snacks in case you need them. We were given a plastic map to use during the trip but we decided to explore on our own. The waters were calm since the boats in the area have to go slowly so we never felt that we were going to tip over. It was quiet on the water (except the occasional boat playing loud music) and it was great to be in nature. We will definitely return and use the same company!
Hyped up vacation spot. Very overcrowded. Poor directions to kayak launch. Suggest path markers along the route. Front desk staff were not very friendly. Dock staff was great.
We had a blast! Park was clean and staff was very helpful and friendly! Water was great and we seen a baby manatee!! Will definitely be back!
It was harder than I thought but very fun. It was cooler and windy day but we still enjoyed it. Will do it again
As a mom of 3 daughters ( my oldest with special needs- Down syndrome ) I always look for the best and most convenient activities for our family of 5. I booked our 2 hour kayak adventure the day before heading to Crystal River. Everything went super smooth. We rented 2 tandem kayaks and 1 single. The tandem kayak seats were slightly different in each. We got lucky and one of them had high seat backs which was a huge blessing for my husband since he is very tall and has a low back surgery in the past. Anything seat that offers extra support is always a bonus. SO, know this if someone in your group has back issues. We did not think of this and just got lucky with a kayak that had high backs. We brought our own masks & noddles ( although they had a barrel of noodles at the dock ( not sure ion they charge to bring them along since we had our own ). We did not have a guide but the helpful employees who helped us launch gave us a river map to bring along with us. We paddled to # Sisters spring and teethed to a rope and swam into the springs ( no kayaks allowed -March 31, 2022). There were no manatee (which we anticipated ) but it was very pretty. We did see a few fish. We paddled along the river, enjoying the scenery 7 beautiful homes along the water. This was a great company to rent from-super friendly and helpful. They had restrooms & changing rooms in the office. Then, you drive just down the road to the dock ( $5 parking ). There are also restrooms at the park where you launch. You won't be disappointed. They also offer a military discount-super appreciative. Also- if you are looking for Covid protocol, keep in mind you are going on the water!!! If you are that afraid, just don't leave your home because germs are everywhere!
Great kayaking experience for our girls trip! Would definitely recommend!! We saw manatees on our way to Three Sisters Springs. The springs were breathtaking! 100% recommend!
Extremely frustrating that nothing stated that we weren’t going to be able to actually go in Three sisters spring as it is not open until April 1st. Even the guy where we put the kayaks in the water, made it sound like he was unsure if it was going to be open which is messed up because he knew it was closed off to the public at this time of year. We drove over two hours to go do this, and then the 40 minute paddle out to three sisters springs, and at least a 40 minute paddle back, and all the money spent, for nothing. I had been looking forward to going to crystal river for many years and I was extremely disappointed to say the least.
Note there is an additional $5 per boat city charge for this activity. Beautiful kayaking and we saw at least 10 Manatees!
Having the Manatees swim underneath our Kayak. Staff was helpful and friendly. It was a memorable experience and I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Fantastic customer service. Great instruction. Very friendly and welcoming! I Highly recommend this company!
Staff was efficient, kind and smiling. It was nice they had a map to show the springs and explained the estimated times to each. Store has unique souvenirs too.
We had a great time today renting Kyaks and swim gear gear from Paddles. The check-in process was easy and they were very helpful and friendly. Evan, down at the water was very accommodating and very helpful as well. 👍👍👍highly recommend!!! We saw a ton on manatees as well so it was a super day all the way around and highly recommend this company!!
